The Sacred Cards[edit]
The Millennium Puzzle is an item in Yugi Muto's possession.
In the Battle City tournament, Yami Bakura claimed to be after the Millennium Puzzle when he faced Yugi in the quarterfinals.
Reshef of Destruction[edit]
The ritual to revive Reshef the Dark Being scattered the Millennium Items, including the Puzzle, across the globe. Yugi was frantic to find it and save Yami Yugi. It was eventually revealed that Bandit Keith came into possession of the Puzzle; he used it and the other Items in a ritual to attempt to awaken Ra. When this attempt failed, the Puzzle was taken from him and Yami Yugi reemerged, frying Keith with lightning from Ra.
However, Reshef possessed Keith, making him steal and break the Millennium Puzzle. Before Yugi could assemble the pieces, Para stole them and brought them to Sol Chevalsky's castle. Once in Pegasus' possession, he used them to bait the player, Yugi, and Joey into coming to his castle, and gloated that with the source of Yugi's power in his hands, there was no one left who can defeat him. Upon defeat, Pegasus returned the pieces and Yami Yugi was freed, enabling him to help weaken Reshef to the point where he could be beaten.
