The Millennium Items (せんねんアイテム Sennen Aitemu) are treasures in the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. They are based on the Millennium Items from the manga. Due to the series being cancelled after one season, only four of the usual seven Items appeared and their origins are not explored.

History

It was written in the Book of the Dead that the Millennium Puzzle was used by a Pharaoh to reveal and expose criminals.[1]

The Millennium Puzzle was disassembled and placed in a Pharaoh's tomb, where it remained unsolved for 3000 years.[1] It was excavated by an archaeological team and eventually fell into the hands of Yugi Mutou, who completed it, causing his body to house the soul of Dark Yugi.[2]

The Millennium Scales was used by individuals to conduct the judgment of the dead. Shadi identified himself as the 125th such judge. Shadi also possessed the Millennium Lock.[1]

The Millennium Ring fell into the hands of Ryo Bakura, causing his body to house the soul of Dark Bakura.
