Rex Godwin orders the chief of the detention center, Takasu to investigate Yusei Fudo. Takasu complies and beats up Yusei's friends Himuro and Yanagi and transfers Yusei to a different room. He Yusei meets Aoyama. Aoyamo tells Yusei that he is planning to escape and invites Yusei to come with him. Yusei says that he wants to escape Himuro and Yanagi.
Takasu harasses Yusei's friends in front of him and Yusei duels Takasu with his freedom on the line. Takasu has seized all of Yusei's decks so Yusei duels him using cards given to him from his friends at the detention center.
