• This card can be searched by "Dark Sage", "Ancient Gear Drill", "Alchemic Magician", "Angmarl the Fiendish Monarch", "Left Arm Offering", "Watch Dog" and "The Despair Uranus".
• "White Dragon Ninja" and "Number 66: Master Key Beetle" can protect this card from being destroyed.

• This card always works well in any Side Deck, no matter what the current Metagame is.
  • You can run this card in the main deck to get a round 1 advantage in a Match– if you can predict what style your opponent is playing.

• Use this card to prevent powerful or Splashable traps.
  • Ban "Mirror Force" if you want to protect your monsters on the field, or "Heavy Storm" if you want to protect your continuous or face-down spell or trap cards.

• Use "Respect Play", "Trap Dustshoot", "Ceremonial Bell," "Fengsheng Mirror" or some other card to see your opponent's hand, then activate "Prohibition" to preemptively eliminate a possible threat.

• Use this card to help with summoning "Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder" or "Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings" by prohibiting "Heavy Storm" or "Mystical Space Typhoon", as well as counting as one Continuous Spell to their summoning condition.

• This is one of few cards capable of preventing the summons of "Lava Golem" and "Volcanic Queen."

Declaring a key card against an Archetype

No matter what kind of Deck one faces, every playing style has one or two "key cards" that the Deck's strategy hinges upon. Use this card to "ban" that key card, and entire strategies will be slowed down, if not falling apart entirely. Several examples can be found below:

• Declare "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" against a Crystal Beast Deck.
• Declare "Zoodiac Ratpier" against a Zoodiac Deck.

• Declare "Raidraptor - Vanishing Lanius", "Fuzzy Lanius", or "Force Strix" against a Raidraptor Deck, as their swarming tactics usually rely on those three cards.

• Declare "Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit" against a mixed Dragon or pure "Hieratic" deck.
• Declare "Elemental HERO Stratos"(Traditional Format) or "Masked HERO Dark Law" against HERO Decks.
  • You can also declare "Elemental HERO Neos" if the Deck also uses "Neo-Spacians".

• Choose "Dark Armed Dragon" to cripple most Dark and Chaos decks.
• Choose "Borreload Dragon" to severely weaken Rokket Decks.
• Against "Buster Blader"/"Destruction Sword" Decks, declare "Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman" or "Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman".

• This card can utterly cripple a Volcanic Deck, as the entire archetype revolves around manipulating "Blaze Accelerator" or "Blaze Accelerator Reload".

• Against a Dark World Deck, declare "The Gates of Dark World" or "Dark World Dealings" to severely hamper your opponent's ability to draw cards and activate their monsters' effects. Alternately, declare "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World" to rob the Deck of its versatile and easily-revived ace monster.
• This card can shut down a Harpie deck by declaring "Harpie Lady"; Not only will this prevent all monsters that are treated as "Harpie Lady" from being Summoned, but it also makes many Harpie Lady support cards (e.g., Hysteric Party, Elegant Egotist, the first effect of Harpie's Hunting Ground, etc.) useless.

• If you are facing Spellcasters, disable "Magical Citadel of Endymion," etc.

• You can declare important cards like "Krebons", "Junk Synchron" or "Destiny HERO - Malicious", that way you can stop your opponent from Summoning Synchro Monsters.

• If you are facing a "Gladiator Beast" deck, declare "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" to severely slow your opponent's strategies. Since "Bestiari" is the one that destroys Spell/Trap cards, your "Prohibition" will likely be safe. Also, it will prevent your opponent from playing "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus", since "Bestiari" cannot be used as a Fusion Material Monster.

• It will also prevent "Elemental HERO Prisma" from being used, as long as "Prisma" was not on the field prior to the activation of "Prohibition".

• This card can work against a "Six Samurai" deck since it relies on "Kagemusha of the Six Samurai" to make its biggest plays.

• Since "Malefic" and "Earthbound Immortal" monsters require a Field Spell Card to survive on the battlefield, decks making use of these cards are usually reliant on a single card that the deck can Search easily (for example, "Malefic" monsters usually rely on "Malefic World"). If one uses this card to "ban" that Field Spell, it would severely cripple the opponent's deck.

• Declare "Bujin Yamato" against a "Bujin" deck to limit their utilizations of the Bujingis such as "Bujingi Crane" and "Bujingi Hare".

• Declare "Qliphort Scout" against a "Qli" deck to significantly reduce the deck's consistency to search other "Qli" cards.

• Declare either "Satellarknight Deneb" or "Satellarknight Altair against a "Satellarknight" deck.

• Declare either "Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing" or "Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing" in a "Yang Zing" deck as the Yang Zing decks completely rely on Synchro Summons.

• If you are using monsters from the Extra Deck, declaring Shaddoll Fusion against Shaddolls will prevent your opponent from using their deck as a Fusion Material.

• By declaring "Noble Knight Borz" against a "Noble Knight" deck, you will prevent your opponent from sending their "Noble Arms" to the graveyard to power-up their Noble Knight Xyz monsters.

• Declare "Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss" against a "Burning Abyss" deck as virtually all Burning Abyss players would Xyz Summon into Dante in order to either gain advantage through milling or return their milled BA cards from their Graveyard.

• Against a "D/D "deck, declare "D/D/D Rebel King Leonidas" or "D/D/D Oracle King d'Arc" to ensure that your opponent will always take at least 1000 damage from the "Dark Contract" cards.

• Since most "Toon" Monsters are incredibly reliant on "Toon World" to exist, declaring either "Toon World" or "Toon Kingdom" will cripple most of their "Toon" cards.

• Declare "Assault Mode Activate" against "/Assault Mode" Deck.

• Declaring "Kyoutou Waterfront" against a Kaiju Deck deprives the opponent of their main source of Kaiju Counters and an easy search function.

• Against a Kozmo Deck, declare "Kozmo Sliprider" to prevent the opponent from destroying your Spell and Trap Cards, leaving them vulnerable to other cards such as "Imperial Iron Wall" or "Vanity's Emptiness".
