Card Appearances:Stardust Dragon
Jack Atlas stole this card from Yusei Fudo along with the first Duel Runner Yusei made, before acquiring his fame in New Domino. The start of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime revolves around Yusei trying to get to Jack to win back the card.
After Yusei escapes into Neo Domino City, Jack gives him the card, but Yusei insists that he Duel Jack for it. As they Duel, Jack Summons both "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Stardust Dragon", but Yusei manages to take control of Stardust. The dragons clashing caused the Crimson Dragon to appear prematurely ending their Duel. Yusei is arrested before he can reclaim the card.
At the Facility, Tenzen Yanagi tells Yusei about Signers and the Five Dragons, which leads Yusei to deduce "Stardust Dragon" is one of these sacred dragons.
Jack later returns the card to Yusei and ask him if he'll be participating in the Fortune Cup.
Yusei plans saving "Stardust Dragon" for the final game in the Fortune Cup against Jack, but adds it to his Deck to help reach out to Akiza Izinski in his Duel with her.
In the Japanese anime, while Summoning "Stardust Dragon", Yusei chants "Clustering hopes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!" while Jack chants "Behold the wings guided by the great winds! Synchro Summon! Reverberate. Stardust Dragon!"
In the Japanese anime, "Stardust Dragon's" attack is "Shooting Sonic" and its effect is "Victim Sanctuary". In the English anime its attack name is "Cosmic Flare".
Specific appearances
- Jack is holding this card in episode 2, while talking to Rex Goodwin. He then flings it from across the room into his Deck, where it slides safely in.
- A flashback in episode 2 shows Yusei Summoning "Stardust Dragon", while riding a Duel Runner for the first time, while Rally, Tank, Nervin, Blitz and Jack watch it "fly".
- In episode 4, Jack uses "Sinister Sprocket", "Medium Piece Golem" and "Small Piece Golem" to Special Summon "Stardust Dragon" against Yusei. The duel continues in episode 5, where it and "Red Dragon Archfiend" become the main focus of the duel. Yusei manages to gain control of it using "Harmonia Mirror" after Jack Special Summoned it after using its effect to protect "Red Dragon Archfiend" from "Remote Revenge".
- In episode 14, Jack returns this card to Yusei, before asking him if he'll participate in the Fortune Cup.
- In episode 24, Yusei uses "Junk Synchron" and "Junk Warrior" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". He then attacked and destroyed Akiza's "Black Rose Dragon". Akiza revived "Black Rose Dragon" with "Wicked Rebirth" and attempted to use its effect, but Yusei Tributed "Stardust Dragon" to negate the effect and destroy "Black Rose Dragon". Both were revived in the End Phase. "Black Rose Dragon" from "Wicked Rebirth" and "Stardust Dragon" with its own effect. On Yusei's next turn he switched "Stardust Dragon" to Defense Position and equipped it with "Prevention Star" to stop "Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis" from attacking, as letting it do so would cause Yusei to lose. Akiza played "Synchro Back" returning "Black Rose Dragon" to her Extra Deck, to be resummoned, so she could use its effect next turn. On her next turn, she did so and Yusei negated it and destroyed "Black Rose Dragon", by Tributing "Stardust Dragon". This caused "Prevention Star" to be destroyed, as Akiza had planned, so she could attack Yusei directly with "Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis". But since a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster Yusei controlled had been removed from the field, Yusei played "Cosmic Blast", which inflicted damage equal to "Stardust Dragon's" ATK to Akiza, winning Yusei the Duel.
- In episode 26, Yusei used "Descending Lost Star", to revive "Junk Warrior" and lower its Level to 4. He then Normal Summoned "Hyper Synchron" and used both monsters to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Due to "Hyper Synchron's" effect, "Stardust Dragon" gained 800 ATK and could not be destroyed by battle.
Yusei used it to attack "Red Dragon Archfiend", but Jack used "Tuner's Mind", returning "Red Dragon Archfiend" to his Extra Deck, reviving "Twin-Sword Marauder" and "Dark Tinker" in Defense Position, and forcing "Stardust Dragon" to attack "Dark Tinker".
Jack managed to resummon "Red Dragon Archfiend" next turn, using "Hyper Synchron". He used it to attack, "Stardust Dragon" which didn't get destroyed, due to "Hyper Synchron's" effect. This allowed Jack to play "Fiend Cannon".
Yusei activated "Speed Spell - Silver Contrails", increasing "Stardust Dragon's" ATK by 1000. He attacked "Red Dragon Archfiend", which was not destroyed by battle. but Jack took Battle Damage and damage from "Synchro Blast".
Jack attacked "Stardust Dragon" with "Red Dragon Archfiend" to inflict more Battle Damage to Yusei, but Yusei used "Cross Line Counter".
Jack played "Speed Spell - The End of Storm", but Yusei Tributed "Stardust Dragon" to negate it. This saved "Stardust Dragon" from being removed from play due to "Hyper Synchron's" ast effect next turn. When "Stardust Dragon" revived itself, Yusei played "Meteor Stream", Jack chained, "Crimson Fire", but Yusei chained "Shining Silver Force"
Yusei doubled "Stardust Dragon's" ATK using "Speed Spell - Final Attack" and attacked "Red Dragon Archfiend", winning him the Duel.
- In episode 35, Yusei Summoned "Stardust Dragon" tuning "Hyper Synchron" and "Level Warrior" against Kiryu.
- In episode 41, Akiza and Yusei's Duel centered around "Black Rose Dragon" and "Stardust Dragon" constantly battling.
- In episode 46, Yusei Summoned this using "Junk Synchron" and "Turret Warrior". Since "Earthbound Immortal Uru" was Rudger's only monster and could not be selected as an attack target, Yusei tried to attack Rudger directly with "Stardust Dragon", but Rudger used "Spider Egg" to negate the attack.
- In episode 55, Yusei Summoned this using Burst Synchro Summon and tuned it together with "Stardust Xiaolong" and "Majestic Dragon" to make "Majestic Star Dragon" in order to defeat Kalin.
- In episode 57, Yusei used Starlight Road to negate Earthbound Whirlwind and special summon Stardust Dragon. Then Yusei used Shooting Star and Stardust Flash in a combination with Stardust Dragon to defeat Rudger Goodwin.
- In episode 64, Yusei tuned "Debris Dragon", "Sonic Chick", and "Shield Warrior" to make "Stardust Dragon", using it to defeat Rex Goodwin's "Sun Dragon Inti" and "Moonlight Dragon Quilla" with the help of Crow and Jack Atlas. Then he tuned it with "Majestic Dragon" and "Stardust Xiaolong" to make "Majestic Star Dragon".
- In episode 66, Yusei tuned "Debris Dragon", "Turbo Booster", and "Gauntlet Warrior" to make "Stardust Dragon" against Ghost. But Ghost used his Synchro killer "Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity" to absorb "Stardust Dragon". Then Yusei took "Stardust Dragon" back using Synchro Material and tuned it with Salvation Dragon - Savior Dragon and "Unicler" to make "Majestic Star Dragon".
- In episode 67, Sly, a classmate of Luna and Leo, found "Stardust Dragon" on the floor and attempted to steal it but Yusei showed up. Later, Yusei Summoned "Stardust Dragon" using "Eccentric Boy" and "Turret Warrior" against Rudolf Heitmann.
