"The Shadow-Winged Dragon" is the one hundred and thirty-eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. It aired in Japan on January 15, 2017.

Gong and Jack begin an intense Duel against Zarc. Zarc then Summons a deadly menace to the field: "Supreme King Servant Dragon Clear Wing", a dragon that resembles Yugo's dragon. Defending his very own soul, "Red Dragon", Jack attempts to bring back Yuya's entertainment spirit, which has been locked inside Zarc.

Featured Duel: Gong Strong and Jack Atlas vs. Zarc

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Zarc has 6000 LP and controls the following monsters: "Supreme King Dragon Zarc" (4000/4000) and two copies of "Supreme King Servant Dragon Darkwurm" (1800/1200). He also has "Supreme King Gate Zero" (Right Pendulum Scale.png 0) and "Supreme King Gate Infinity" (Left Pendulum Scale.png 13) in his Pendulum Zones, and 2 cards in his hand. Gong Strong and Jack Atlas both have 5 cards in their hand and 2000 LP. "Crossover" is active on the field.

Turn 8: Jack
Jack draws "Dark Resonator". As Jack controls no monster, he Special Summons "Red Gargoyle" from his hand. He then Normal Summons "Red Resonator". The effect of "Red Gargoyle" activates to double the Level of "Red Resonator". Jack tunes his Level 4 "Red Gargoyle" into his Level 4 "Red Resonator" Synchro Summons "Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend" in Attack Position. As his opponent Synchro Summons while Zarc controls "Supreme King Dragon Zarc", he activates the effect of "Supreme King Servant Dragon Clear Wing" by tributing 2 "Supreme King Servant Dragon" monster and Special Summons it in Attack Position, with the summon treated as Synchro Summon.

Zarc activates the effect of "Clear Wing" as it was Special Summon to negate the effect of all monster his opponent controls, and destroy them. Jack chains by activating the effect of "Brutal Red" in his hand by sending it to the graveyard as exactly 1 "Red" monster would be destroyed. This turn, it cannot be destroyed and it gains 1000 ATK. Jack attacks "Clear Wing" with "Scarlight". The effect of "Clear Wing" activates as it battled; Zarc negates the attack, destroy the monster it ("Clear Wing") battles, and inflict damage to his opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster it had on the field. "Scarlight" is not destroyed by the effect of "Brutal Red". Jack sets a card. The effect of "Brutal Red" expires.

Turn 9: Gong
Gong Normal Summon "Superheavy Samurai Battleball" in Attack Position, then Special Summons "Superheavy Samurai Hexagon" from their hand by its effect. Gong Synchro Summons "Superheavy Samurai Swordsmith" in Defense Position, and activates its effect as it was Special Summoned to Special Summon as many "Superheavy Samurai" monster from his hand as he wants. Gong Special Summons "Superheavy Samurai Brawler", "Superheavy Samurai Swordsman" and "Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei", all in Defense Position.

Turn 10: Zarc
Zarc activates "Supreme King Violent Spirit" by equipping it to "Clear Wing".

Turn 11: Jack
Jack activates the Trap Card "Vision Synchro", sending Red Sprinter, Dark Resonator, and Net Resonator from his hand to the graveyard as Synchro materials to Synchro Summon "Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend" (3500/300). Jack used the effect of "Net Resonator", since he controls a Synchro Monster that used it as a material, he won't take any effect damage. Targeting "Scarlight" and "Tyrant", Gong used the effect of "Fudomyo'o". The two dragons cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects while "Fudomyo'o" is on the field until the End Phase.

"Tyrant Dragon" attacks "Clear Wing". Zarc used the effect of "Clear Wing", negating the attack of one monster, destroy it, and inflict effect damage to its controller. With "Fudomyo'o"'s effect, "Tyrant Dragon is unaffected. Zarc used the effect of "Supreme King Violent Spirit", making the effect of Clear Wing affect all monsters on it's controller's field. "Fudomyo'o" is destroyed, and Gong takes effect damage of 1000 life points. (Gong: 1000 → 0 LP).

"Tyrant Dragon" attacks "Clear Wing" again and "Clear Wing" is destroyed. Since Zarc controls a "Supreme King" monster on his field, he activates the combo effect of "Supreme King Gate Infinity" and "Supreme King Gate Zero", making him regain life points equal to the original damage he would have taken (Zarc: 6000 → 7000 LP). Jack ends his turn. The effect of "Vision Synchro" ends, returning "Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend to the Extra Deck.

Turn 12: Zarc
At this point, Sylvio Sawatari and Crow Hogan join the Duel, taking the intrusion penalty (Sylvio: 4000 → 2000 LP; Crow: 4000 → 2000 LP).

"Supreme King Dragon Zarc" attacks and destroy Jack's "Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend". (Jack: 1000 → 0 LP).

Duel continues in the next episode.
