In several parts of it, it resembles New Domino City, especially the pier as several highways tower over it, which may be a reference to the turbo lanes of New Domino City, or may be a sign that Turbo Duels are being considered to take place within the ZEXAL universe. By the river, there is a place that looks like the same sight where the duel between Yami Yugi and Strings took place. The Mayor of Heartland is Mr. Heartland.
