Death to you

Did I answering the question right? --iFredCat 02:47, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I only went with the rulings I found. And that's an evidence I could using, like all other Judges (Falzar included, since he's not a Judge) reminded me many times in the past - be a detective and prove it. But I don't understand why Crystal Beasts are different from those I picked, as they also never entering the Graveyard when they were destroying while face-up on the field? --iFredCat 03:19, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Pleasure to meet you

I´m glad that you liked it, I just wanted to complete the summary as good as I could. Too bad there some people who don´t think the same since they decided to erase most part of it, well guess that there´s nothing to do with it.

I´ll be working on more episode summaries which need to be complete or just adding more information. If you can I will like you to read my chaanges and see if there any mistakes on them of content or grammar. Also if you know where I can find more images to add them that wiil be great

See you around. -- Akira10100 (Talk) 21:58, April 9, 2013

Danipon

Me and FredCat are having a bit of a...discussion about Danipon's lore. Would you mind taking a look at Fred's talk page and help settle this? ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 00:24, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

No worry - I stopped after his "second edit" on that article. It's just an image that make the sentence little difficult to reading. That's all. --iFredCat 00:26, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Fred. @UK: Sorry for calling you for nothing. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 00:27, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

Re:

Well, that's news to my ears. I didn't know he got banned, reversed his addition to the retired section. However seeing his past history of edits when he was User:Boris12, I'm not shocked, like not at all. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:29, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

Wicked God trivia

Sorry to bother you, but would you mind taking care of the Wicked God trivia? It's getting out of hand, like V Salamander a few weeks back. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 17:38, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

Rulings Query Issue

Hello,

I just posted a topic in the Rulings Query forum, but it's not showing up. Since you answered my last query, I was wondering if you might be able to help me with this one.

I'm trying to remember the name of a card- either a spell or a trap. The effect is almost exactly the same as that of Altar for Tribute, except that instead of gaining Life Points yourself, you deal them as damage to your opponent's score. Is there such a card? Or am I just making some imaginary mashup between Misfortune and Altar for Tribute? ^^" Maybe it isn't a spell or trap but the effect of a certain monster, that destroys itself and then deals its Attack Points as damage? Help! D:

New Article

Feel free to posting your advises and thoughts on my article, I am full willing to listening to any of your advice if you have one. (Like before with your conscious of the Rulings) --iFredCat 22:48, April 11, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you very much and I would like to have an advice there too if you like to ^_^ --iFredCat 22:53, April 11, 2013 (UTC)

Number 65: Judge Buster

Its kanji isn't any different. This is what I was talking about when I said that the Organization would have unfair control over this Wikia. You can clearly see both the kanji and the furigana in the magazine scan. They clearly show じん. We don't need the Organization for every single translation.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 01:11, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I suppose the "ma" isn't clear as day. We'll wait and see, like you dictated suggested.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 01:15, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
Alright. I apologize for coming off strong, I was just pissed off initially.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 01:32, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

About the Trap Hole/Fascinating mix-up.

The Trap Hole (archetype) page listed Chaos Trap Hole as the odd card out. That's what my "fixes" were based on. Guess I was working off bad info.

Sorry about the mix-up. Wilren (talkcontribs) 07:02, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Virus Card

But it still exists. The virus archetype has been around since second series, it should be kept as an archetype.--Computer Bug (talkcontribs) 22:52, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Arabic names

I apologize. I had assumed that official meant that the card has an official card name, or if cards aren't produced in that language, then the dub name could be seen as the official (or at least as official as anything). But since this seems to not be so, I will stop removing the unofficial marker.

About the Master Guide storylines

Hello UltimateKuriboh. I've been wondering if the translations I mentioned in my talk page are already considered ok to be added here. Also, is there any place where I can find "legit" translations? I usually go to NeoArkCradle, but since this time it seems Ark won't do the translations, I went to Pojo. GMTails (talkcontribs) 02:24, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

I see. Thanks for the info, I'll do that and wait until they are released (: GMTails (talkcontribs) 02:51, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Anime cards

Regarding Deathscythe, you mean the discarding part? About it being or not optional? If so, it was made clear in the Japanese version that it was not optional, that Raphael was obligated by Deathscythe to throw his hand away. Raphael even dramatized it saying that "But that decision doesn't belong to me; Deathscythe revives by its very will" (when he was explaining to Yugi why it revived after Yugi played Underworld Heaven Cycle, in episode 176). I don't have the English version, but you know we can't rely on it. Japanese version is what counts, if the English version is different, then we note it as an error or in "differences in adaptations". ;) LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:00, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories

Hello.

It says "Dark duel Stories" right in the logo; I certainly can't ignore that. And yes, it bothers me too. Despatche (talkcontribs) 04:17, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

Conco-Ruda

Are you sure about the "(except during the Damage Step)" part of Mecha Phantom Beast Conco-Ruda's effect? It also says "If this card on the field is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect)" and if it was destroyed by battle, it would have to activate during the Damage Step.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 23:51, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, right. I didn't notice the revert. I reckon it will be able to, as well.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 23:57, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Scape-Scape-Scape-Scapegoat!

Is that right, that Magic Card is activate and allow it owner to summon four monsters at same time?

If that's correct, then in case, would it only summon two Tokens or can't be activating if "Summon Breaker" is face-up on the field? --iFredCat 23:07, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I see, thank you! So that could also approve with "Return from the Different Dimension", no? --iFredCat 23:12, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Relevant/Non-Junk Trivia

btw im user Aeron Solo im just too lazy to log in. Is there a page that specifically lists what trivia is ok or not? I think it would be a good idea to mention because of the recent edit war on number 44s trivia page. Specifically, could you make a ruling on the specific piece of trivia being contested? The guy doing it says you're the one who undid a similar edit in the past. 69.207.190.249 (talk) 23:34, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Junk Warrior

In that case, should a note that mentions the difference between the effects be added somewhere or something (if it was just one or two times I'd have listed it as a mistake in the respective episodes)? So far I'd say the best place to put a note would be the very first episode, or as a hidden note on the Junk Warriors page. Card Appearance would work too. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 01:33, May 2, 2013 (UTC)

Dark Storm Question.

Number C96: Dark Storm--I'm 100% sure it is a rank 3. If you look at the trailer for episode 102, Dark Mist (the character) uses Barian's Force on his monster form. It glows red, like all Barian Chaos Zys do, and descends towards the sky. According to the anime effect of Barian's Force on the wiki, it says, "Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Chaos" monster with the same Type as that monster you control but 1 Rank higher, by using it as the Xyz Material."

Sorry if this was already looked into. The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2Oc0uCVrtI --— Gamefreak776 (talk) 21:48, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Request

Can you please restore all of the pages that I redirect form SD9 -> SD09. I'm writing an application to get some data from this website, and unfortunately the form of all the card numbers is provided as SD9-EN0XX. It was simpler for me to just add a bunch of redirects than to go and change all of the data in the database.

Hothamwater (talkcontribs) 16:49, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

Well the other redirects are formatted fine. It's just SD09 (for example: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/SD8-EN001 works fine). For the sake of consistency, I think it would make sense to change SD09 to SD9. Hothamwater (talkcontribs) 16:58, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I'm having some issues moving pages. When I tried to rename CXyz: Furious Flower Battleship Taoyame into CXyz: Battleship Cherry Blossom, it wouldn't let me. I was still able to move the card gallery for that card, though. Edit: nevermind; the problem got resolved already. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 02:12, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

Outside Reference

Are "Babylon 5 Space System" in CXyz Skypalace Babylon and Star Trek in Number 85: Crazy Box the outside reference, or are they alright to be included in the Trivia articles? If not, then this user need to learn how to shut up and move on - I continued advised him to stop add in, but he didn't listen and continued to do so. --iFredCat 14:30, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

Rubik this!

Thank you for slow down the edit warring, I knew that what I did could might be wrong but all I had to do was to trusting the one who believed them to be in it. Gallis - as he mentioned in that article's history - disagreed to that IP-Addressed User's thought at one point. --iFredCat 22:04, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

Look like it's time for your turn to step in the discussion - that IP-Addressed User seemed too obnoxious to admit his defeat or anything. It's on Number 74 and 85 if you're looking for the argument. He just refused to let the "Delete" Flag leaving his sight until an Admin (such as you) come in and declare an endition (yes, I own that word) of the discussion. --iFredCat 22:35, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

Silly silly me, I knew I was gonna misunderstand your question. xD I had 2 tests today morning, plus work at afternoon, and a research to finish now by night, my brain and body're not working properly. xD Isn't that a tumblr, rather than a Twitter? Sorry, I still didn't get what you wanna know. xD The source of the tumblr'd be what exactly? :P (and by now, Kuriboh begins to regret having asked me) LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:14, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
Ohhh, there's what you was referring to. Haha, sorry again for being so slow. xD As far as I can tell, nothing was said nor shown regarding those cards - I actually think they're just rectangles to tell the truth, not cards (something to provide energy for the machine by its look). The Dian Keto thing was totally a joke, besides the fact that nothing can be seen in the rectangles (if the card is "un-seen-able" like that, they usually at least draw the artwork square, like this), it'd make no sense for him to "have healing cards on his pod to heal himself". xD All just usual tumblr lolz. I hope I could answer you properly this time, xD and if you want I can still ask around in NAC 'bout that, since I'm just 80% sure of that. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:48, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, why you deleted my image "Ceremony of gods"? This is not fan image, it's real card. --Shadow The Dark Knight (talkcontribs) 12:11, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Sure it is, a Ritual spell that doesn't Ritual summon anything, Special summons cards that cannot be Special summoned without saying "ignorring the summoning conditions", has no downsides and includes "god" in it's english name, seems legit.
BTW, this chat sucks for sarcasm. If you're gonna publish fanmade cards, at least make the effort of cardmaking the right way. Check this site for more info: http://ycm.wikia.com/wiki/Laws_of_Cardmaking

Hey, regarding Protect Dragon resembling Salamance: So by your logic, if one wants to add a trivia about what the monster resembles, it must somehow relate to all other monsters used by the duelist (Jinlong in this case)? How does that make any sense. You know, I've viewed tons of trivia on monsters that go like "resembles (insert something unrelated to yugioh)", all of which are plausible and left unchanged to this point. So what gives? What's wrong with giving a mere observation on what Protect Dragon looks like?76.22.118.105 (talk) 10:13, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Emerald! Emerald! Who's the most correctly judge?

I am having a confusedly understand on a ruling base on the effect of "Daigusto Emeral"; as I have 2 monsters in my Graveyard and I have "Daigusto Emeral" on the field with at least 1 or more Xyz Material(s) attaching to him. I detached one Xyz Material from him and activated his effect that target 3 monsters in the Graveyard and shuffled them; however, the ruling article said that if I have two monsters or less in the Graveyard when the effect activated, it fizzled and resolved without an effect... is that correct? --iFredCat 22:36, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

So that mean he would failing to shuffling them back even if there are already 3 monsters in the Graveyard after the detach part? Interesting - one Admin in DN disagreed and said that it's possible to shuffle them even if it's only 2 monsters in the Graveyard. I didn't get the screenshot but I am sure you would believe me anyways. --iFredCat 01:57, June 5, 2013 (UTC)
That was an exact situation of what happened at DN when I was there - Admin commented that this rule was wrong and what duelist did was right. That duelist only had 2 Monsters in the Graveyard and he detached third from Emeral, which filled the requirement (though still incomplete). I told the Admin that it was right and he's wrong, however he told me that it worked this way before he log out. Immature Admin, eh? --iFredCat 02:59, June 5, 2013 (UTC)

Admin intervention

FredCat100 and I have come into conflict over an example given on List of female cards. I believe the disagreement is simply a result of miscommunication, so I'll link you to the relevant points of discussion to see what you think:

--SnorlaxMonster 13:23, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

Consensus

It's consensus that we do not use them. We do it for all the characters - we don't call them "Yuugi," "Juudai," "Yuusei," etc. as their translated names. Also, the TCG doesn't do it as well, e.g. all the Fire Formations (except for Gyokkou, for some reason). 195.211.153.15 (talk) 20:51, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

I was wondering, since we now have a "Numbers" monster unconfirmed Trivia page, do you think we should provide a link to that on either the "Number" main page or on each one of the "Numbers" monster's real Trivia pages (and delete all the Trivia specs regarding their numerical value's interpretations on each of the real "Numbers" monsters Trivia pages if the latter sounds better?) I feel that way, less "mis-understandings" will occur if the naive wishes to add such Trivia and that there will be consistency on each page in that any user willing to add such "Numbers" Trivia can go to the Forum page directly and do such--as it is a Forum page, there seems to be no "easy-to-find" link directly to it at the moment, only way to seemingly get to it right now in getting it accurate in the search engine.

It is true that you can only get the English language for the cards and that there is no manga, but I remember them translating some of Jaden's Gx monsters such as Wingman and Burstinatrix was translated to something like 'Explonatrix'. Xyz Reborn vs. Call of the Haunted

Fiber chain and revowla

I had some argue with a user on DN (more of that was from other day, not today) and this theory started to eating away my brain cells.

If I control "Fiber Jar", "Waboku" and any cards that is possible to chaining to that of "Fiber Jar" when it was flipping to face-up. Treated them like MST vs. Dark World Lightning; Lightning missed the timing and MST remained on the field when Chain is resolved. Would that logical approved the same with "Waboku" and any cards that chained to it when "Fiber Jar" is flipped to face-up? I'm not sure if these names have been approved by them yet. They are just preliminary. Are you assuming that they have thought about it or did they actually talk about why they weren't going with "rock"? Either way, I don't see the reason why. Lol, Dragoon is Divine!

I understand that you are aiding that IP-Addressed User about the rename. But you maybe have to ask Cheesy because he was the one reject that idea in the first place, and I, again, continued to siding with Cheesedude for that reason. Like with Shark/Rio being Barian Emperors are yet to declaring, the Number 9? yet to confirming, and many unofficial renaming - we are better off holding them until Konami (or show company, in Anime case) provided them correctly. I preferred not wasting the time move them for no reasons, not without any evidence to prove that. I meant, look at "Chaos End Ruler -Ruler of the Beginning and the End-", it was told to be "Envoy of the Beginning and the End" at one point, but it reverted because of that reason (Anime name). --iFredCat 21:52, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

In that case, we would have to refer to every unreleased-in-the-TCG card by its kanji then, won't we? Not a single card from Shadow Specters has its name confirmed. They are all assumptions. That's why no one has to provide official sources if they want to rename them. 109.163.239.214 (talk) 21:57, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

The Lady in Wight VS Opti-Camouflage Armor

Hello, this is concerning if "Opti-Camouflage Armor" will allow "King of the Skull Servants" to attack if there is a "The Lady in Wight" on the field.

The ruling that I have heard was "'Opti-Camouflage Armor' does not affect the monster that it is equipped to. Instead, this card affects the rule that states that a monster cannot attack directly if there is a monster controlled by the opponent. Therefore, 'The Lady in Wight' would not negate the effect if this card was equipped to a 'King of the Skull Servants' because the effect is not affecting "King of the Skull Servants" and is instead altering a rule of the game."

This "ruling" came out about a month after "The Lady in Wight" reached the US. I remember because I was trying to make a Deck using those cards at the time and I was actually looking for the answer. When I attempted to get a reason for the "Ruling", I was informed of two different reasons. (Not that those two reasons were correct, I just received two different answers at the time):

  • First was the "Exact Wording" reason. This was saying that the exact words used in "Opti-Camouflage Armor" causes it to "re-enable" attacking directly. More specifically, the fact that no part of the effect explicitly is affecting the monster gives it the feeling that it didn't affect the monster at all. Your offer of the "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" ruling would not work here (either for agreeing or disagreeing if this combo works), the card also affects the ATK of the monster and that "prevents" the card from being read as if it worked only on the rules.
  • The second was an even more irritating answer - BKSS. Apparently Konami said that the card affected the Rule and not the monster. As the monster was unaffected, "Opti-Camouflage Armor" was not negated by "The Lady in Wight".

These "rulings" were passed around to judges around mid-2008 and it was quite irritating to get an "official" ruling at any event. I recall that when the judges made the effort to look up their answer, they found these answers on judge-only forums and that is where they usually said that they got the answer. As I am not a judge, I never got to see the "official" ruling and therefore have nothing to show.

I usually was able to find several pages saying what I said on Google (in the past), however it seems that many people did not research this themselves and posted their own queries on forums all over. This cause many people to falsely state that "Opti-Camouflage Armor" was negated by "The Lady in Wight" and now I am unable to show multiple pages like I have in the past due to most of them showing in Google results as being out of date. The best I can do at this time is show a forum posting from 2010: http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=871176

If you could help me find more, or know a judge (or are a judge yourself) that can ask Konami directly, it could be a big help to solving this problem with an actual answer from the top. As it is, Konami might have changed their Ruling/decision years ago or recently. I haven't heard such so that is why I stick with the ruling that I know. (As it is, "Opti-Camouflage Armor" was never really all that good in that Deck, "Baby Tiragon" is much better for the situation...)

Please let me know what you think and if we can attempt to get an end-all answer from Konami or something... --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 08:42, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

As far as it is, I have not actually seen the ruling. However that might be, I know that the ruling exists because I still ask the judge at any tournament that I go to. Ever since late 2009, I have always been told that "Opti-Camouflage Armor" works even with "The Lady in Wight" active. This gets even further involved when you look into who placed that Tip on the page:
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Wight?diff=1140556&oldid=1133247
It was another Admin. FalzarFZ posted that info and I think that he should be contacted to find out where he got that info. As it is, I think that we should replace the tip while we attempt to get an answer from Konami because it is still used in tournaments today regardless if we have a word-by-word "Ruling" or not.
As for it being a BKSS, I was specifically saying that it was like a BKSS due to the card requiring to be used in a way that doesn't make sense according to the rules. For the "exact wording" reason, the card doesn't seem to cause any other affect on the monster in question. "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" does, however. My point with that is that this card has two ways of interpretation (either affects the monster or affects the rule) while the other is already affecting the monster (lose 1000 ATK) and therefore would not be able to be interpreted as affecting only the rule. Between the intended usage of "Opti" and the required affecting from "Shooting Star Bow", we cannot use the ruling of one for the understanding of another, no?
As for asking, I have made a forum topic on the from you supplied. I still disagree on having to prove something that is already supported more than its opposition. This is actually a logical fallacy in the making. The average player that plays now would be unwilling to agree that this is the true way to play using that card. As a result, regardless of the accuracy of the "Ruling", I still believe that DN will say that "Opti" is negated. I am only posting the forum because you asked. --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 01:27, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

Allow me to explain.

The reasoning behind my "deletion" of the Etyomology and Abilities sections of the Barian webpage was a ill-conceived attempt at moving the aforementioned sections to the Seven Barian Emperors webpage. you see, both sections applying strictly to the Seven Barian emperors and no other specific group of characters can have that description of abilities, which seems redundant to keep both these sections in the wrong webpage. Also I've also previously added an addendum with the Appearance & Physiology section which include characters from the Fearsome Four of the Dark Dueling World, although that has been deleted by another user since. So unless somebody else has a counterargument to this, I personally feel that this would only lead to misinformation.

Regarding the 'Card images from anime'

I don't really remember from which episode i got it (been around 9 months i uploaded it), but considering the uploading dates its most likely from Zexal 80 as i usually start uploading images immediately after a episode airs (and rarely do it on other dates). So, if you ask me, that's the episode i would say its from.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 07:29, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

I beg you to reconsider

Look, I know I just got back on the site, and the last thing I want to do is to be blocked temporarily again, but I think that by changes to "Gem Flash Energy" was sound because in Japan, the Crystal Beasts are called Gem Beasts, so I think it fits. Also, if you translate edelritter from "Edelritter - Vampire Bram", it means noble knight, so I think it should at least be related to the Noble Knight archetype. Please think this over. (Sean.evans.944023 (talkcontribs) 04:08, August 22, 2013 (UTC))

"Gem Flash Energy" isn't related to the Crystal Beasts. It doesn't use the same Japanese text for "Gem", despite the translation. "Edelritter" means "Noble Knight", but if they intended for it to be a reference to the the "Noble Knights", they wouldn't have used German, they just would have called it a Noble Knight. Other than the name, they are nothing alike. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:22, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

Archetype/Archrelated

Regret telling me that info isn't really a mature or harmonious response. Even if you didn't tell me I was going to find out sooner or later in another way. And I wasn't adding entries willy-nilly, it's been a long while since I've felt that the entries I've made are appropriate, just haven't gotten around to it until now. Anyway, judgements aside.

For Chaos:

I think Dark Magician of Chaos deserves to be on the list just as much as Ruin, Queen of Oblivion and Demise, King of Armageddon do, and here's why:

The reasons that the latter 2 cards are part of the series is because they have weaker versions of the effects of the Chaos duo, their bipolar relations to each other, one being LIGHT Angel type, the other being DARK Demon type, and being summoned by the same ritual card End of the World. Oh yeah, they're King and Queen.

However, I think Dark Magician of Chaos holds just as much justification for being in the series. Here's why:

It debuted from the same booster pack as the Chaos trio, Invasion of Chaos, it's also the mascot of the pack. Not to mention, it's one of the Chaos retrained forms of Yuugi's signature cards, along with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. By the way, this is stated in its trivia, but not in EotB's last I checked.

As we all know, Chaos is the name for the fusion of Light and Dark, which is in the magic card that summons it, Dedication Through Light And Darkness. So clearly it's Dark Magician that has also mastered LIGHT magic. LIGHT and DARK form Chaos and it's stated in the first line of the article. The only reason it's excluded is because it happens to not state LIGHT in its card lore, but I think this exclusion is too tight.

As for Elemental HERO Chaos Neos, again, it's excluded because it doesn't state the attributes for its lore. Yet if we look at its counterparts, it clearly was meant to be a Chaos monster. Elemental HERO Magma Neos and Elemental HERO Storm Neos are its counterparts that uses FIRE/EARTH and WIND/WATER. Now I don't know if there are series for those combinations, but once again, I do know at least that LIGHT and DARK form Chaos.

As for Sky Scourge Invicil and Spell Canceller, and now that I think about it, Royal Decree as well. They're reflections and alternatives to the mascot Jinzouningen - Psycho Shocker. As a matter of fact, I think they deserve to be on the list more so than Jinzo 7, as that doesn't have any direct relation with the mascot, Jinzouningen - Psycho Shocker, but rather its mini-form, Jinzo - Returner, and where it is different from the latter, it cuts off its only connection with the mascot monster (as well as having lower stats).

As for what to consider to be archrelated, I think we should use our common sense and give it a leeway, as long as the entry isn't far-fetched and makes some sense when backed up with other reasons, like the ones I've spent so much time writing above. And you did state important details to consider include physical similarities as well as stats. I agree, but not without mentioning that the former can be arbitrary, while the latter can be a hit or miss. But if we include that, it's more fair, I feel, to include extremely similar effects, as well as its name and relations to other members in its other series/archetypes.

One last thing, I don't think English names should be a factor, and especially so if it conflicts with its Japanese name. At best it should only be mentioned at its respective trivia page. An example would be Hell Kaiser Dragon whose artwork and English name is close to Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 22:53, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

You're using extrapolation to base whether or not a card is in a series, and that's bad. We use the Japanese Name because it's consistent, and we can back it up with existing precedents. Let's take DMoC; it shares no obvious connections to Chaos, apart from sharing part of it's name, and the ability to be summoned by a card not related to to that series. Rejected. Chaos NEOS is also not related to the Chaos series, having "Chaos" included at some point in the name does not automatically qualify it to be part of a series.
Cards that negate the same type of cards does not a series make. Rejected.
As for cards that are archrelated, we're very clear that it has to support the archetype directly. Just because a card is useful to an archetype, does not mean it was specifically meant for that archetype to use, which is what we're denoting.
Also, it's not bipolar relations, it's polar opposites, the former could potentially be very offensive.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:47, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
In regards to the Japanese name issue, keep in mind that a series is not an archetype. A Japanese name can be indication of a series, but it is not the only indication, nor is it a required indication. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:18, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

I think extrapolation isn't always bad, not to mention the definition can be subjective. If you're rejecting DMoC because it only has Chaos in its name, as well as having a Magic card that summons it with the name of "Light and Darkness", along with the several reasons I've stated above, then it doesn't make sense that cards such as The Beginning of the End is on the list. Frankly, you can't really get much better than having Chaos as well as Light and Darkness mentioned in its immediate associative cards. I also like to add that in the Card Trivia:Chaos Sorcerer page, it even states that its design was based on this card.

And please don't tell me you accept Dedication Through Light And Darkness without accepting the monster itself, that just doesn't make sense. Otherwise, we would have to remove End of the World and Primal Seed from the list also.

I've added several reasons why Chaos Neos should be part of the series, not just the name, please reread that.

Because if these 2 entries are rejected, then I think it's less confusing that we change the definition of Chaos, which we know is a lot harder if not impossible altogether.

Your definition of series and archrelated is different to what UltimateKuriboh stated as far as I can tell.

As for a definition of a series, it is stated that the thing in common is in its JP name, or artwork, or simply a similar effect. Spell Canceller, Sky Scourge Invicil, and Royal Decree fall under the last one. In fact, I'll reference the JP wiki, it actually listed all 3 of those cards under its related card sections, but ironically not Jinzo 7. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 03:19, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

Oh yeah, in regard to bipolar relations, bipolar means at two opposite sides of a pole. So essentially it means the same thing as polar opposites. I was confused at first when you said it could be offensive. Anyway, no big deal. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 03:28, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

Well those factors aren't always consistent the way I see it, but I guess that's normal in a human managed setting. Anyway, I believe I have enough factors to warrant Royal Decree and Sky Scourge Invicil to be part of the series.

By comparison, I think our wiki is better. Although I wish we could at least consult what the JPwiki do and see what could make our wiki better instead of just writing it off as 'we're different'.

As for the JPwiki reasoning, I feel that they take things a little too literally. My view are a bit wider than what you may be used to, but I still draw a line, and it certainly isn't as far-fetched as what the JPwiki shows.

Forgive me for going on a tangent, but for example, they only list the original Chaos trio (and Lightpulsar/Darkflare) on their Chaos page. Yet on the pages of Lightray Sorcerer and Envoy of the Twilight, among others, they also list "Chaos" in their bottom section. That feels incomplete to me, whether or not it was supposed to be the case.

Invicil has the exact same effect as Jinzo, the only difference is that Jinzo and Canceller doesn't allow manual activations while Invicil still does but fundamentally it's exactly the same. Same with Royal Decree. Imperial Order doesn't count because it has a cost.

I definitely won't say it's related to Gadjiltron Dragon or Chimera simply because they have different effects, even though their activations through summons are the same. If I say that, then I'd need to say Frost and Flame Dragon, Desert Twister, Dark Simorgh and I'm probably missing a few others, would be related to Chaos. O_o Since they're summoned through banishing different attributes, exactly the same as the original Chaos trio. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 05:04, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

Jwiki is using different metrics for related. Clearly they take card effects into greater account than we do. We are looking at theme when we look at series. Yes, card effects can be part of that, but the line must be drawn somewhere. Thematically, Invicil has nothing to do with Jinzo at all. We already note that its a "Jinzo replacement" type of card on the card trivia pages. It does not also need to be in archrelation. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:26, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

How does the anime card lore thing work? Where do you get translations from? As you can see, I have not been here in six years and this site has changed greatly in that time. If a card text specifies Type, Attribute, or Level, then "face-up" isn't used anymore, since those things only apply to face-up monsters. Simple-Execution (talkcontribs) 16:34, August 31, 2013 (UTC)

Did you read Number 87? "Target 1 Plant-Type monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position." Black Magician - Kotobukiya pvc

Hello, just wanted to say that yesterday I added the {{rename}} on the file "Dark-magician 1360790027.jpg" and today I nocite that the image was deleted because was "not an official Konami product".

I may be wrong, but I thought that since it was a NAS related product, that gave it the "official merchandise" status, just like the anime series.

I consider that the existence of this line of statues must be documented on the wiki. Please, correct me if I am mistaken and there is a reason to why shouldn't be that way. I would really like to know the cause. --Rare Hunter (talkcontribs) 23:20, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Files

SALUTATIONS ONCE AGAIN, ULTIMATEKURIBOH!!

I'm SO sorry--when it came to these older card galleries, I couldn't help but JUST want to add whatever card on the said galleries whether .jpg or .png; this was in-part my favorite thing to do on this Wikia as a TRUE registered member.

And YES I'll admit it--it's due to this ferverous drive that I really didn't want to take a step back to change the gallery image formats UNLESS it was either near or COMPLETELY empty or better yet, nonexistent (of which I did create a few missing galleries.) At the same time though, I refrain from asking other Wikia users to do certain things on this Wikia because 1) I wish to avoid "I don't feel like it/Why don't you do it yourself"/"Don't bug me" backlash and that 2) There's so many projects and things that can be done to improve this Wikia that a "Go with the flow" kind of attitude may be best because I guess you never know what'll happen next.

Ya know what though? Given your "request" and my "bounciness" on this Wikia, if a complete .jpg-->.png overhaul in said time frame can be done, yet more importantly, these unnecessary ".png squabbles" can cease once and for all, then yes, is it alright if someone else does this? Again, I apologize for my "effups" and for any ire I may have (permanently) earned because of 'em!! =( --ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 15:05, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

Sounds cool but more importantly, THANK YOU FOR THIS TALK-OVER!! I again hope there's no hard feelings! =L Oh yeah, I'm so feelin' ya about the "case-by-case" thing, especially since I understand that one of your future projects is the complete expunge of all the .jpg card images here and subsequent .png conversions of the said images (correct me if I'm erroneous about that.) Obviously you'll get to that whenever @ your pleasure but for now, this plan sounds like quite a good plan. But thanks again for this chat! =} --ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 18:15, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

future episodes

Please, consider a lock on ALL the episodes that haven't been released yet. I can already see potential problems erupting like wildfires with all those controversial summaries (rank 13?? Is number 1 coming or not? Etc. ) I know it might seem like a bad idea, but I believe that people will waste time debating when they could be focusing on other things, on the wiki or no. (Several edit wars erupted on 121 during its various previews, and I'm afraid people will start more.) Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 04:53, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

I must Disagree

I must disagree with your decision in this case.

1. The image is newer than the .png image used on the card's main page.

2. The quality of the artwork is superior than the other image. however it is not an image of the entire card so it would not be an appropriate image for the main page OR the the Gallery page as it is the same name (just a different image format) as the entry already in the gallery.

3. If it is not in either place it is just a disconnected image that serves no purpose. It is to good for that fate, it needs to be easy to find.

PLEASE remember to sign your messages.

So what do you think on Shark and Rio being Nasch and Merag. Im not surprised. both shark and rio are shocked lol. however rio doesn't seem comfortablee in being enemies with yuma, she is saddened by it. do you think shark and rio will carry on the mission they set as barians, or will they rebel and side with yuma and kite.Malek Kriya (talkcontribs) 17:54, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

Response to your Response

i agree with what you say. know how shark is, he will always want to duel yuma, but rio herself is the most deeply affected. i don't like to speculate but i wanted to see what others say. i also think rio will be the first one to rebel, if it happens. imagine if vector betrays all the other barian emerpors lol, that would be something, knowing he has don thousand in him. i had a thought before that all the barian emperors would give up their barian life to live as humans again, but that was last week lol. their memories of the barian life would be erased, except rio and shark, but hey, that happens when the plot changes this way. still i like how the plot tuned out to beMalek Kriya (talkcontribs) 18:12, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

Vanpire lord trivia edit

The fact of not having the vampire lord with the same hair color doesn’t means that the he doesn’t resemble Iori Yagami, they both have exactly the same ”hair style” (there was no other character in japan with that hair style as his signature) plus iori’s particular “win pose “ (wish is a signature too) pretty much the same from the vampire lord “see the description ”, Iori yagami has a lot of conflicts that includes blood as a main topic wish is another clue, “king of fighters was one of the most popular games in japan ” and its more than obvious that they can’t have the same clothes it’s just a vampiric resemblance (by the way the all jackets looks the same and in this case they look alike ). My arguments are valid, I don’t pretend to vandalize this awesome wikia or go over admins authority but you gota read my post full with facts and not misperceptions. I am not telling you at any point that my opinions is determinant but you gota agree with me that there are many common things between these to characters. I don’t want to make you angry dude I just want you to read my stuff hope you agree with me

another extra funny "fact" wish is causual is that the "vampire lord" is well known in my country as "iori lord" as a nickname followed by "emo lord" in my cuontry king of fighters is a must play video game just like in japan.

and Iori(riot of blood) in the game is usually called by the fans as "vampire iori","iori loco ", "iori orochi" or "iori zombie".

RE: Invasion of Flames Rulings

The ruling for dark smog I posted has been ruled multiple times during previous regionals and other sanctioned events. I apologize if this is inaccurate, I am just thumbing through judge materials and correcting contradictions on the wiki if possible.

In regards to Invasion of Flames rulings, again, all I have is the documentation provided to me by the KDE Judge Program. I can't imagine any material being regarded as a better source for a card ruling. The ruling was accurate (we all know Invasion of Flames does not function like a Jinzo and only applies to the instance surrounding its normal summon) and should remain, as many new players believe that invasion of flames is a free royal decree. As that comes up frequently among players, that ruling was both productive and accurate.

As for an update on Dark Smog, upon further reading, I have found rulings going both ways. Some judges claim it is an ignition effect and has a spell speed of 1 in all instances other than the time it is activated while others claim that it is always a spell speed 2 effect. Until Konami gives an official ruling on said card, I will not defend the article I wrote. Removing my ability to edit if I make a mistake would be unproductive, as I have the intention of maintaining the wiki. I could provide identification confirming me as a judge and confirming my access to judge materials if that would satisfy my claim. Would it be possible to note on Dark Smog's page that official rulings have been made both ways and that the timing has yet to be clarified?

You mentioned "What is this "reference to Judge rulings documented by Konami officials during sanctioned events" you were talking about? Specifically the "reference" that was "documented by Konami officials"? I would like to see that."

If you are a sanctioned judge, you should have that documentation. I can show you that I have it. I don't believe I have been told that this material is sensitive. If you are a judge, you can request all written rulings from any sanctioned event within 6 months after said event has ended. They will send you a neat stack of all written rulings passed down by any judge, including which players were in dispute.

In summary, and in resolution, please at least retain the Invasion of Flames page as I had edited it. There are other cards with the same effect that need official confirmation. That ruling is in no way wrong and is useful. I would also like an example of a reasonable source to provide, because if it is some forum on the internet or some other non credible source, you won't have to worry about me updating a page, as I simply will not cite a source that is not credible.

Sol Ember ~Team Phoenix~ (talkcontribs) 06:22, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

  • Right on. I'll use the Judge forums so I can cite viewable sources. I am starting to agree with you on this one. Having been under the thumb of judges for so long as a casual player, I didn't expect so many of their rulings to be wrong. I spent my night reviewing some smaller tournaments, and there is a judge in Oklahoma City who ruled that MST negates a Compulsory Evacuation Device. Mind = Blown at how many erroneous rulings there are. Then I remembered the timed test I took when I first started the process and did some digging. There are dozens of websites that have all the answers posted.

Anyways, thank you for your quick reply. I am new at this, and the patience is greatly appreciated.

On a side note since I have your attention (I hate doing this because I have anxiety issues), I am trying to make 30,000 or more decks (playable, but nothing amazing) by December 15th to be handed out to kids around The United States (and hopefully Konami will throw some merchandise in as well if this goes well) and my in-store supply is very under stocked. In your position, you might be able to help me. I am not asking for free cards (that would be unprofessional), but donations would not be turned away. I am asking if you have any way to get the message out that I am buying 1,000,000 common cards or more at a penny each, or rather, that I have $10,000 set aside to buy as many commons as possible. I was going to try to advertise on Dueling Network, but I have gotten no reply yet, and I am sure they are busy. If you could post even one message, that would be greatly appreciated. This is all being sponsored by Overdrive Games and Anime Shoppe presently. The email address is [email protected] and we will start our online campaign at the youtube channel Overdrivegamesanime. If there is nothing you can do, that's fine too. No pressure, but I guess if I don't ask people, I won't succeed, right? Thanks for your time either way.

I appreciate the thanks for my recent Card Number column edits for a couple of the card lists. I'm currently working on a personal complete card database using pieces of card lists from different sources. This site is the only one so far that has a nicely formatted table with card numbers for most of the boosters. I'll add in a Card Number column for those tables that don't currently have one.

I'm starting to think having votes on talk pages isn't a good idea, because what happens is the people who object, get the "More yes than no" argument or bad attitude thrown in their face which can possibly tick them off. createacard

Want my review on that fanmade card you made?--Hawk00Refferencer (talkcontribs) 15:23, October 1, 2013 (UTC)

Well, first off, the name "kuri" seems a bit unlikely for an archetype. I mean, it certainly is enough to be recognized as a series because there are similarities and connections between members, but not enough to actually gain support cards for cards just with "kuri" in their name. Otherwise, cards otherwise unrelated to the archetype would be affected by such support. Bikuribox, for example, all of the Karakuri monsters as well, they all contain "kuri" in their name. As such, this card woul apply to them as well. The terms must be made a bit more specific, altough I cannot see how that will keep it safe from future cards that just so happen to contain "kuri" in their names. Which is why the actual support for "kuri" monsters contains full names "Kuriboh" and "Winged Kuriboh" instead of just "kuri".

Furthermore, it says "except your normal draw", but by the time the effect can be used, the normal draw already applied, so there's no need to say that. The final effect should say "when the card is destroyed", not "if", since it somewhat alludes to an effect activating at a certain point in time. I like the drawback effects, if anything, you have a great sense of balance for the game.--Hawk00Refferencer (talkcontribs) 17:38, October 1, 2013 (UTC)

Number 10X/Over-Hundred Number

Men you say to me "Buddy. Does the effect text of "RUM Sword of the Seven Emperors" actually say "Over-Hundred Number"? Since it doesn't, it is not part of the "Over-Hundred Number" archetype. Instead, it is part of the "Number 10X" archetype". But actually Number 10X/Over-Hundred Number are the same archetype but are called by different names. Also the card effect say to targets a number 10X because all over-hundred number haves Number 10X in name (X are any number), are useless creates a page called Number 10X to talk the same thing as over-hundred number page, both page gone haves the same content, are batter haves only page and say in the over-hundred page that Number 10X are a alternative name, written only in card effects. Also if the RUM Sword of the Seven Emperors haves written targets a "Over-Hundred Number", you cannot targets no cards because don't exists cards whit Over-Hundred Number in name. --Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 20:51, October 6, 2013 (UTC)

  • You say"And that is why we rename the "Over-Hundred Number" page to "Number 10X", which is what I did a little while ago. Thus, this merges all the content and establishes that "Over-Hundred Number" is slang, and not an official archetype name.". Give to me some credit i'am rarely clicks in edit button to do this thing, because i rarely see something to contributes like this, the only thing that i can do is put the portuguese effect in the card pages, for a logic reason (i'am from Brazil). --Dragonempeorslayer (talkcontribs) 21:02, October 6, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry About That

I though that since it was a card that specifically supported the "Over-Hundred Number" archetype (because of the "Number 10X" part, it would be ok to create that page. Plus, the reason i did it was because someone had added "Over-Hundred Number" under the "Archetype support" tag, which felt right to me. Well that aside, i will try to be more careful about these types of things from now on.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 21:19, October 6, 2013 (UTC)
