Joey Wheeler's Turn
- Summons "Baby Dragon" (1200 ATK / 700 DEF) in Defense Position.
Seto Kaiba's Turn
- Two turns have passed since "Card of Demise's" activation: in three turns Seto must discard his entire hand.
- Activates "Stop Defense", switching Joey's "Hayabusa Knight" into Attack Position and attacking it with "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
- Joey activates "Nutrient Z", increasing his Life Points by 4000 before Battle Damage (Joey: 100 → 4100 → 2100 Life Points).
- Sets a card.
Joey Wheeler's Turn
- Summons "Time Wizard" and immediately activates its special ability. Joey's luck roll is successful, transforming "Baby Dragon" into "Thousand Dragon" (2400 ATK / 2000 DEF). (NOTE: in the real game, "Time Wizard's" is slightly different and actually uses "Baby Dragon" to gives rise to "Thousand Dragon" through Fusion Summon).
- Before "Time Wizard's" special ability can affect it, Seto removes his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from the game with Trap Card "Interdimensional Matter Transporter". It returns to the field at the end of the turn.
Seto Kaiba's Turn
- Three turns have passed since "Card of Demise's" activation: in two turns Seto must discard his entire hand.
- Discards "Thunder Dragon", activating its effect in order to add two more "Thunder Dragons" from his Deck to his Hand.
- Activates "Polymerization", fusing two "Thunder Dragons" from his Hand to form "Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon" (2800 ATK / 2100 DEF). Under Battle City Rules, Fusion Monsters cannot attack the same turn they are summoned, but Seto activates Magic Card "Quick Attack" to bypass that rule.
- Attacks & destroys "Thousand Dragon" with "Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon" (Joey: 2100 → 1700 Life Points).
- Attacks Joey directly with "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (Joey: 1700 → 0 Life Points).
Seto wins.
