The 3 Mythical Beasts

• During the Duel, after Yami Summons "The Winged God Dragon of Ra" and plays "Pot of Greed", there is a small pause. Their friends comment on what just happened.

Mokuba Kaiba: "This is incredible, Nii-sama! (Honorable Elder Brother)"

Seto Kaiba: "The 3 Mythical Beasts have been gathered in the Field, you're telling me!?"

Solomon Muto: "What a dreadful thing...! I never thought I'd see such a scene while I was alive!"

Marik Ishtar: "Nee-san... (Elder Sister)"

Ishizu Ishtar: "The power of the Pharaoh has greatly surpassed our imagination."

Téa Gardner: "This is Atem's true power..."

Joey Wheeler: "Even though Yuugi's Trap sealed the Special Effects and lowered its Attacking Power... Even so, Obelisk's Attacking Power is as high as 2,500...!"

Mokuba Kaiba: "Osiris has the Special Ability of using Summon Lighting Impact to deplete 2,000 Points per each Summoned Monster..."

Marik Ishter: "If even Ra's Special Ability was to be used, by changing the Monsters in the Field and the Life into Attacking Power, it'd would end up having 14,499 Attacking Points!"

Seto Kaiba: "The 3 Gods in one Duelist's Field... By using this Super-Heavy Deck, Atem has managed to Summon them using his Duel Tactics. There's no doubt that this will be a battle to be recorded in the annals of history. However! The outcome of this Duel has already been established." (starts leaving.)

Joey Wheeler: "Wait, Kaiba! We can't know that yet!"

Tristan Taylor: "That's right!"

Téa Gardner: "The face-off ain't over yet!"

Seto Kaiba: "Hmpf! You lowlifes who can't even control 1 God, what would you know?"

Joey Wheeler: "What did ya say!?"

Seto Kaiba: "Then, I'll question you, Mediocre! Do you lowlife grasp any method to defeat the 3 Gods standing in the Field!?"

Joey Wheeler: "T-that's...!"

Seto Kaiba: "You can't grasp it! Why, you ask? Because there's no such method!"

Joey Wheeler: "No! There MUST be something which can be done! Right, Marik? You should know Ra's weakness!"

Marik Ishtar: "I can handle ONE Ra... But now that the 3 Gods have been gathered..."

Ishizu Ishtar: "This could be one of Fate's pathways, you never know. In the space of 3,000 years, the Pharaoh's blade has grown bigger so that nothing can stand up to it. If there is no-one to accept it, the Ritual of Battle shall not take effect."

Téa Gardner: "Ishizu - san... (thinking) ... Then, the outcome has come? Atem won't return to the Realm of the Dead..."

Seto Kaiba: "Let's go, Mokuba." (starts leaving again)

Mokuba Kaiba: "Nii-sama!"

Joey Wheeler: "Kaiba...!"

Seto Kaiba: "Atem! Like this, it'll be settled that the soul of you lowlife won't go back to the Realm of the Dead. Sooner or later I'll settle my scores with you lowlife.... (thinking) ... Could even I defeat the 3 Gods? "

Yugi vs. Atem.

Yugi Muto: "Wait, Kaiba - kun! Kaiba - kun. I'd wish that you could see until the end."

Joey Wheeler: "Yuugi!"

Seto Kaiba: "Yuugi! I don't have free time in my advancing road to see you lowlife losing!"

Yugi Muto: "Wrong. It's not about that... (thinking)... Between Kaiba - kun's soul and the soul of my other me there must be an unbreakable connection... (speaking) ...I'd like for you to witness how my other me goes back to the Realm of the Dead."

Seto Kaiba: "Yuugi...! You lowlife...! It couldn't be...!"

Yugi Muto: "Kaiba - kun made me clearly understand it... I've got no other choice to beat these 3 Gods. I must definitely win this Duel!"

Seto Kaiba: "What did you say!?"

Joey Wheeler: "Yuugi!"

Téa Gardner: "Yuugi!"

Yugi Muto: "I, for that sake, stand in this Field!"

Pharaoh Atem: "That's more like your style, Aibou!"

Seto Kaiba: "Impossible! Yuugi! Are you lowlife being serious by saying this!? You want to defeat the 3 Gods which stand in this Field...!"

• Yugi nods to confirm.

Seto Kaiba: "Hmpf! Alright, Yuugi! If you lowlife say so, I'll watch the Duel of you lowlife until the end!"

Pharaoh Atem: "Alright, Aibou! It's your Turn!"

Yugi Muto: "Yes. My Turn...!"

• He seems terrorized by the mole of the 3 Gods and is unable to a Draw a Card.

Duke Devlin: "'What's wrong with Yuugi - kun?"

Tristan Taylor: "Yuugi! Good---!"

• Marik signals for him to stop and negates with the head.

Marik Ishtar: "He's currently concentrating his conscience of how should he himself battle like. The fear and dread brought upon by the Gods cannot be understood by someone who's not facing them."

• Looks towards Jounouchi and there's a flashback of the Battle City Finals and "God Phoenix" hitting Jounouchi.

Joey Wheeler: "Indeed... The terror I felt back then... It can't be explained to other just by words..."

Yugi Muto: (thinking): "That's right... I stand here to achieve victory. I knew from the start that 3 Gods would come out... But... I'm afraid... Actually, I almost want to run away... I've always been trying so hard to reach towards you... And when I feel like I'm close by following you, it's like you suddenly become so distant..."

Pharaoh Atem:' "Aibou! A Duelist who doesn't, no matter what, believe in his Deck, will never be capable of defeating me. If you're a True Duelist, and also a companion, and have been coexisting with me, you should've thought up of them... Methods to defeat me!"

Téa Gardner: "Yuugi has been planning how to defeat the other Yuugi...!"

Pharaoh Atem: "That's a True Duelist's instinct! When we assembled this Deck... We both had strong feelings of wanting to defeat each other!"

Yugi Muto: "That's right! I've always been thinking... Things about you... Accepting any trials with courage and no fright... That fact of yours..."

Pharaoh Atem: "I have, too! Aibou! I've always been thinking facts about you!"

• Flashback of Atem and Kaiba's Duel in Duelist Kingdom.

Pharaoh Atem: "Instead of hurting others, you'd rather chose to hurt yourself. The fact that a strong Duelist must also have tenderness... In that case, both of our Decks should have...!"

Yugi Muto: "Your courage and...!"

Pharaoh Atem: "A Deck holding Aibou's strongness!"

Yugi Muto: "I see! Even if we split apart, the Deck we both designed... For you to return to the Realm of the Dead, I made it up with a strong will... It's my superb Deck!"

Pharaoh Atem: "Yeah!"

'Yugi Muto: (thinking): "Thank you, my other me. I'm not afraid anymore. This Deck is filled with things I learned from you. Never give up the fight... Never stop trusting your Deck and your Monsters... A Duelist's courage and honor... (aloud)... Let's go, my other me!"

Pharaoh Atem: "Come at me! Aibou!"

• The Duel resumes.

Ishizu's Prediction

Ishizu makes a prediction in Yugi's favor

• During the Duel, Yugi has just Activated "Mirage Ruler". Ishizu makes a prediction on the next Turn.

Ishizu Ishtar: "In the next Turn, Yuugi will face-off against the Pharaoh."

Marik Ishtar: "Huh? Nee-san...? Could it be...?"

Ishizu Ishtar: "It is not because I have seen the future. I just have a feeling."

Marik Ishtar: "Nee-san is thinking that Yuugi will defeat the Gods?"

Ishizu Ishtar: "I do not know. But, looking at the current Yuugi, it suddenly made me think so... The revived soul of the Nameless Pharaoh... Its strongness has, obviously, become an existence which as greatly exceeded our imagination... But the container who accepted such a powerful soul should not be feebler than him. Even if at the beginning it was a small container, after walking along with the Pharaoh's soul... It has made it currently become a bigger container, for all we know."

Marik Ishtar: "Yuugi has...?"

Ishizu Ishtar: "Indeed. By surpassing trials, humans can make those containers become even bigger... People sometimes name it 'possibilities' or 'miracles'..."

Marik Ishtar: "A miracle...? Yuugi will produce a miracle?"

• The Duel resumes.

Featured Duel: Pharaoh Atem VS. Yugi Muto - Part 2

Duel continues from previous episode.

Pharaoh Atem's Turn

• Pharaoh Atem has just managed to Summon all 3 Egyptian God Cards to the Field, the last one being "The Winged God Dragon of Ra".

• Activates "Pot of Greed" to Draw 2 Cards.

• "Osiris the Sky Dragon": 2000 > 1000 > 3000 ATK / 2000 > 1000 > 3000 DEF).

Yugi Muto's Turn

• "Silent Swordsman LV3's" Effect Activates: Its LV increases by 1 and it gains 500 ATK ("Silent Swordsman LV3" > "Silent Swordsman LV4": 2500 > 3000 ATK / 1000 DEF).

• Tributes "Alpha The Magnet Warrior", "Beta The Magnet Warrior" and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" from his Hand to Special Summon "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" (3500 ATK / 3850 DEF) in Attack Position.

• The Effect of "Osiris the Sky Dragon" Activates: It reduces "Valkyrion's" ATK by 2000.

• Yugi Activates "Mirage Spell": It Negates "Osiris'" Effect and increases Yugi's Life Points by the same ATK amount "Valkyrion" would have lost, i.e. 2000 (Yugi: 1400 > 3400 Life Points).

• Sets 2 Cards.

Pharaoh Atem's Turn

• Pharaoh Atem Draws and since he now holds 4 Cards in his Hand, "Osiris'" ATK/DEF is 4000 ("Osiris the Sky Dragon": 3000 > 4000 ATK / 3000 > 4000 DEF).

• Uses "Osiris the Sky Dragon" to Attack & Destroy "Silent Swordsman LV4" (Yugi: 3400 > 2400 Life Points).

• Uses "The Winged God Dragon of Ra" to Attack & Destroy "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" (Yugi: 2400 > 900 Life Points).

• Uses "Giant God Soldier of Obelisk" to Attack Yugi Directly.

• Yugi activates "Mirage Ruler": All of his Monsters which were Destroyed this Turn are Special Summoned back to the Field and all Battle Damage dealt to him is added back to his Life Points, all at the mere Cost of 1000 Life Points (Yugi: 900 > 3400 > 2400 Life Points).

• Since the number of Monsters on Yugi's side of the Field changed, a Replay is triggered. Atem decides not to Attack with "Giant God Soldier of Obelisk".

• "Silent Swordsman LV4's" Effect Activates: Its LV increases by 1 and it gains 500 ATK ("Silent Swordsman LV4" > "Silent Swordsman LV5": 3000 > 3500 ATK / 1000 DEF).

• Tributes "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" to Special Summon "Alpha The Magnet Warrior" (1400 ATK / 1700 DEF), "Beta The Magnet Warrior" (1700 ATK / 1600 DEF) and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" (1500 ATK / 1800 DEF) from his Graveyard back to the Field.

• The Effect of "Osiris the Sky Dragon" Activates: It reduces the ATK of each Monster Yugi just Summoned by 2000.

• Yugi Activates "Magnet Force": It redirects "Osiris'" Effect back to Atem's 3 Gods ("Giant God Soldier of Obelisk": 2500 > 500 ATK / 4000 DEF) ("Osiris the Sky Dragon": 4000 > 2000 ATK / 4000 DEF) ("The Winged God Dragon of Ra": 5000 > 3000 ATK / 4000 DEF).

• Yugi uses "Silent Swordsman LV5" to attack "Giant God Soldier of Obelisk".

• Pharaoh Atem Activates "Mirror Force", Destroying all of Yugi's Monsters.

Inconsistencies with Previous Episodes

In this episode:

• The ATK of "Giant God Soldier of Obelisk" remains 2500 from "Ground Erosion". In previous episodes, it has been shown that this Effect would have worn off at the end of that Turn.

• Yugi states that his Target isn't "Obelisk" per se, rather the "terrain in which God stands", possibly referring to the Monster Card Zone, which could imply that Cards that don't directly target the God Cards can still work.

• The effect of "Osiris the Sky Dragon" should not have been manipulated as it was, since it is unaffected by Trap Cards as is clearly stated. However, "Osiris the Sky Dragon" wasn't the direct Ttarget of "Magnet Force", which could imply that Trap Cards that indirectly target a Monster may work.

• The effect of "Osiris" decreases "The Winged God Dragon of Ra", while previous episodes show that it would be unaffected by the Effect, but this is probably because Ra was in its God Phoenix Mode when this Effect was used. (Ra's ATK points was originally 0 so it can't be reduced to 0 and be Destroyed.)
