"The Gene of Princess" is the ninety-fourth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on January 28, 2024.

As she tries to figure out what she should do about the Velgearians' crisis, Rovian pays the UTS office a visit. While she is helping the UTS staff clean up, she finds the guitar of Princess Minstrel, the one who once taught her about space poems. The owner of the guitar turns out to be...

Featured Duel: Rovian Kirishima vs Gurumi Purisaki

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Purisaki
Purisaki's hand contains "Psychic Modulation", "Shining Superstar Stage", "Silent Assailant", "Peace Holder" and "Prima Guitarna". Purisaki Normal Summons "Silent Assailant" (1500/0) and "Peace Holder" (1500/0). Purisaki Tributes "Silent Assailant" and "Peace Holder" to Tribute Summon "Prima Guitarna" (2200/0). Since Purisaki has a Level 7 or higher Psychic monster face-up on her field or in her Graveyard, she activates the Field Spell "Shining Superstar Stage". Due to the effect of "Shining Superstar Stage", all face-up Psychic Normal Monsters on the field gain 400 ATK, and all face-up "Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar" on the field gain 100 ATK for each Psychic Normal Monster in either player's Graveyard ("Prima Guitarna": 2200/0 → 2600/0). Purisaki Sets 1 Card.

Turn 2: Rovian
Rovian's hand contains "Early Bard Fortithief", "Heavy Arms - Double Nexcalibur", "Ampler Glee", "Robbarim" and "Bandijo of the Battle Ballad". Rovian Normal Summons "Ampler Glee" (1500/0 → 1900/0) and "Robbarim" (600/600 → 1000/600). Rovian Tributes "Ampler Glee" and "Robbarim" to Tribute Summon "Bandijo" (2500/1500). Rovian activates the effect of "Bandijo" since it was Normal Summoned this turn, allowing her to pay 1000 LP (Rovian: 4000 → 3000 LP) to add a Level 2 or lower Psychic Normal Monster from her Graveyard to her hand, then "Bandijo" gains 300 ATK for each card in each player's hand until the end of this turn. Rovian adds the Level 2 "Robbarim" from her Graveyard to her hand, so she has 3 cards in her hand, while Purisaki has no cards in her hand ("Bandijo": 2500/1500 → 3400/1500). Rovian activates the Equip Spell "Double Nexcalibur", allowing her to send a WIND Psychic monster from her hand to the Graveyard to equip it to a Psychic monster she controls. Rovian sends "Robbarim" from her hand to the Graveyard and equips "Double Nexcalibur" to "Bandijo". Due to the effect of "Double Nexcalibur", the equipped monster can attack twice per turn. Purisaki activates "Shining Superstar Primavera", allowing her to send a face-up Psychic monster she controls to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Psychic monster from her hand, then if she sent "Prima Guitarna" or "Prima Guitarana the Shining Supterstar" to the Graveyard with this effect, she can Special Summon 2 Psychic monsters from her hand. Purisaki sends "Prima Guitarna" to the Graveyard and Special Summons "Prima Guitarana the Shining Superstar" from her hand (2200/0 → 3000/0), then Special Summons two more copies of "Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar" from her hand (2200/0 → 3000/0). Since Purisaki Normal Summoned or Special Summoned a monster while Rovian has 2 or less cards in her Spell & Trap Zones, Rovian activates her Set "Early Bird Fortithief", allowing her to send the top 4 cards of her Deck to the Graveyard and gain 500 LP. Then, Rovian can equip 1 Equip Spell Card from her Graveyard to a face-up WIND Psychic monster she controls. Rovian sends "Eternal Arms - Durandaltainer" and 3 unknown cards from the top of her Deck to the Graveyard (Rovian: 3000 → 3500 LP), then equips "Durandaltainer" to "Bandijo". Due to the effect of "Durandaltainer", the equipped monster gains 300 ATK for each monster Purisaki controls, and if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, Rovian can send 1 card from her Spell & Trap Zone to the Graveyard instead ("Bandijo": 2500/1500 → 3400/1500).
