"The First Rush Duel" is the sixty-eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on July 23, 2023.
Yudias has been teaching Epoch Dueling strategies, as well as how to build a Deck. Now, it's time for her to apply what she's learned! As they look for an opponent for Epoch to Duel in the Galaxy Cup, the Rush Battler sends its light toward Yuhi.
Featured Duel: Yuhi Ohdo vs Ehoko "Epoch" Kamijo[edit]
This Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.
Turn 1: Epoch
Epoch's hand contains "Graceful Dice", "Skull Dice" and two copies of "Dice Angel". Epoch draws "Dice Archangel". Epoch Normal Summons two copies of "Dice Angel" (0/600). Epoch Tributes both copies of "Dice Angel" to Tribute Summon "Dice Archangel" (2400/1500). Epoch Sets "Graceful Dice" and "Skull Dice" in her Spell & Trap Zones.
Turn 2: Yuhi
Yuhi's hand contains "Jointech Workshop", "Jointech Rex", "Jointech Spike Centipede", "Coin Tech Rebirth" and "Jointech Arc Scorpio". Yuhi activates the Spell Card "Jointech Workshop", sending a Level 7 EARTH Attribute Machine Type monster from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon up to two Level 7 or lower EARTH Attribute Machine Type monsters from his hand to his field in face-up Attack Position. Yuhi sends "Arc Scorpio" from his hand to the Graveyard and Special Summons "Rex" (2500/1500) and "Spike Centipede" (2400/1600) from his hand in Attack Position. Yuhi Sets "Coin Tech Rebirth" in his Spell & Trap Zone. "Rex" attacks "Dice Archangel". As Yuhi's monster declared an attack, Epoch activates her face-down Trap Card "Skull Dice" to roll a six-sided die, and she decreases the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on Yuhi's field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn. Epoch rolls a four ("Rex": 2500/1500 → 2100/1100; "Spike Centipede": 2400/1600 → 2000/1200). The attack continues and "Rex" is destroyed (Yuhi: 4000 → 3700 LP). As Yuhi ends his turn, the ATK and DEF of "Spike Centipede" return to normal ("Spike Centipede": 2000/1200 → 2400/1600).
Turn 3: Epoch
Epoch draws "Asura Dice", two copies of "Dice Archdemon" and two copies of "Dice Demon". Epoch Normal Summons two copies of "Dice Demon" (600/0). Epoch activates the effect of a "Dice Demon", sending a monster from her hand to the Graveyard to add a "Skull Dice" from her Graveyard to her hand. Epoch sends "Dice Archdemon" from her hand to the Graveyard and adds "Skull Dice" from her Graveyard to her hand. Epoch Sets "Asura Dice" and "Skull Dice" in her Spell & Trap Zones. Epoch Tributes both copies of "Dice Demon" to Tribute Summon "Dice Archdemon" (2400/1500). Epoch activates her face-down Spell Card "Graceful Dice" to roll a six-sided die, and she increases the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on her field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn. Epoch cheats to roll a six ("Dice Archdemon": 2400/1500 → 3000/2100; "Dice Archangel": 2400/1500 → 3000/2100). Epoch activates the effect of "Dice Archangel" to roll a six-sided die, and she increases the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on her field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn, then they gain additional ATK and DEF equal to the result x 100 until the end of this turn if she has "Graceful Dice" in her Graveyard. Epoch rolls a six ("Dice Archdemon": 3000/2100 → 3600/2700 → 4200/3300; "Dice Archangel": 3000/2100 → 3600/2700 → 4200/3300). Epoch activates the effect of "Dice Archdemon" to roll a six-sided die, and she decreases the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on Yuhi's field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn, then they lose additional ATK and DEF equal to the result x 100 until the end of this turn if Epoch has "Skull Dice" in her Graveyard. Epoch cheats to roll a six ("Spike Centipede": 2400/1600 → 1800/1000). "Dice Archangel" attacks and destroys "Spike Centipede" (Yuhi: 3700 → 1300 LP). As a monster on Yuhi's field was destroyed by Epoch's attack, Yuhi activates his face-down Trap Card "Coin Tech Rebirth", shuffling an EARTH Attribute Machine Type monster from his Graveyard into the Deck to choose an EARTH Attribute Machine Type monster in his Graveyard and toss a coin, and he Special Summons that monster to his field in face-up Attack Position if the result is heads, but he Special Summons that monster to his field in face-up Defense Position if the result is tails. Yuhi shuffles "Arc Scorpio" from his Graveyard into the Deck, chooses "Rex" (2500/1500) in his Graveyard, the result is tails and he Special Summons it in Defense Position. "Dice Archdemon" attacks and destroys "Rex". As Epoch ends her turn, the ATK and DEF of "Dice Archdemon" and "Dice Archangel" return to normal ("Dice Archdemon": 4200/3300 → 2400/1500; "Dice Archangel": 4200/3300 → 2400/1500).
Turn 4: Yuhi
Yuhi draws "Tamabot", "Jointech Tossceratops", "Mega Jointech Fortrex [L]", "Mega Jointech Fortrex" and "Mega Jointech Fortrex [R]". Yuhi Maximum Summons "Fortrex [L]" (1300/0), "Fortrex" (1300/0) and "Fortrex [R]" (1300/0) in Maximum Mode (3000). As Yuhi Normal or Special Summoned a monster, Epoch activates her face-down Trap Card "Asura Dice" to roll a six-sided die, and she inflicts damage to Yuhi equal to the result x 100 and decreases the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on his field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn, then Epoch can increase the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on her field by the result x 100 until the end of this turn. Epoch cheats to roll a six (Yuhi: 1300 → 700 LP; "Fortrex": 3000 → 2400; "Dice Archdemon": 2400/1500 → 3000/2100; "Dice Archangel": 2400/1500 → 3000/2100). Yuhi activates the effect of "Fortrex [L]", sending an EARTH Attribute Machine Type monster from his hand to the Graveyard to decrease its ATK by 600 until the end of this turn, then he tosses a coin, and it can make a second and third attack during this turn if the result is heads, but this turn it can make up to two attacks on monsters and inflict piercing battle damage if the result is tails. Yuhi sends "Tossceratops" from his hand to the Graveyard ("Fortrex": 2400 → 1800) and the result is heads. Yuhi activates the effect of "Fortrex [R]" to make both players shuffle three monsters from their opponent's Graveyard into the owner's Deck, then if it is in Maximum Mode, it gains ATK equal to the total Levels of the EARTH Attribute Machine Type monsters shuffled this way x 100 until the end of this turn. Yuhi shuffles two copies of "Dice Angel" and "Dice Demon" from Epoch's Graveyard into her Deck while she shuffles "Rex", "Spike Centipede" and "Tossceratops" from Yuhi's Graveyard into his Deck ("Fortrex": 1800 → 3900). "Fortrex" attacks "Dice Archdemon". As Yuhi's monster declared an attack, Epoch activates her face-down "Skull Dice". Epoch tries to cheat to roll a six but rolls a one ("Fortrex": 3900 → 3800). The attack continues and "Dice Archdemon" is destroyed (Epoch: 4000 → 3200 LP). "Fortrex" attacks and destroys "Dice Archangel" (Epoch: 3200 → 2400 LP), then attacks Epoch directly (Epoch: 2400 → 0 LP).

Errors[edit]
- When Yuhi checks Epoch's Graveyard to choose which three monsters to shuffle into her Deck with the effect of "Mega Jointech Fortrex [R]", a third copy of "Dice Angel" can be seen (Epoch only played two copies and no effects sent cards from her Deck to the Graveyard).
