The owner (Japanese:
Monster Tokens are owned by the player who Special Summoned them. For example, "Ojama Tokens" Special Summoned by the effect of "Ojama Trio" are owned by the player who activated "Ojama Trio"; while "Rose Tokens" Special Summoned by the effect of "Black Garden" are owned by the player whose Summon caused the Token to be Summoned (since the effect causes that player to perform the Special Summon of the "Rose Token").
Changing possession[edit]
By default, cards remain in their owner's possession. However, many cards can change the possession of cards, such as by changing control of monsters on the field, Summoning monsters in one player's possession to the other player's side of the field, or simply taking a card from one player's hand and putting it in the other's, among other ways.
When a card is returned to the hand, Main Deck or Extra Deck, is sent to the Graveyard, or is banished, it returns to its owner's possession unless otherwise specified.
