Continuous-like Effect
The name of this article is unofficial, or it uses unofficial terminology. It may change at any time as official terms are found or created. |
A Continuous-like Effect is a non-activated effect of Spell/Trap Cards that applies while that Spell/Trap Card remains face-up on the field. They are similar to Continuous Effects of Monster Cards. The term was used in Upper Deck Entertainment rulings,[1] but has not been used by Konami.
Continuous-like Effects only start applying once the card has successfully resolved. As non-activated effects, they do not use Chain Links themselves.
They are typically only found on Continuous Trap Cards and Field, Equip and Continuous Spell Cards. Normal Spell and Trap Cards that have effects that cause them to remain face-up on the field after resolution also may have Continuous-like Effects.
