A younger Kagemaru (2900 life points) continued his duel with Jaden (1600 LP). Jaden summoned Wroughtweiler in defense mode and placed one card facedown. Kagemaru attacked Wroughtweiler with Hamon, the second sacred beast. Thanks to its special ability, Jaden lost 1000 LP for every monster Hamon destroys. With only 600 LP left, Jaden used Wroughtweiler ability to bring one elemental hero and a polymerization card back from the graveyard and into his hand. He chose Bubbleman for the hero, but then Uria was used to attack directly. Jaden saved himself using his facedown, Flute of Summoning Kuriboh. It let him summon Kuriboh to the field in defense mode, sparing his LP.
Jaden summoned Bubbleman to the field, allowing him to draw 2 more cards. He, then, played Metamorphisis, allowing him to sacrifice Bubbleman to summon a fusion monster of the same level, Neo Bubbleman (800 attack). After being equipped with Bubble Blaster, his attack rose to 1600. Jaden used it to attack Hamon even though it had more attack, but to Kagemaru's surprise, Hamon was destroyed. Because of Neo Bubbleman's ability, any monster it attacked was defeated as long as Jaden sacrificed his Bubble Blaster to take zero damage. He ended his turn with a facedown.
Kagemaru attacked using Uria, but Jaden used his facedown, Bubble Illusion. With Bubbleman on the field, Jaden played a trap card straight from his hand, Hero's Rule One: Five Freedoms. It allowed him to remove 5 trap cards from Kagemaru's graveyard from the game. This lowered Uria's attack to 0, allowing Bubbleman to destroy him.
After his LP's dropped to 2100, Kagemaru played Resurrection Tribute. It destroyed Bubbleman and let Kagemaru bring Hamon back in defense mode. Afterwards, he discarded a trap card to bring Uria back as well. Then, he played Phantasmo Martyr. When both Hamon and Uria are on the field, Kagemaru he discards two cards to summon 3 Martyr tokens, with 0 attack. One of the cards he discarded was a trap, so he raised Uria's defense to 2000. After all that, he sacrificed the 3 tokens to summon the third beast, Raviel (4000 attack).
All around the world, duel monster cards were beginning to fade away. With all 3 of the beasts on the field, they were feeding off the energy of all duel spirits. If Jaden loses the duel, all of the duel spirits will be lost forever.
Jaden was ready to win. He played Dark Factory of Mass Production, which let him bring two monster cards from his graveyard to his hand. He chose Avian and Burstsinatrix, then fused them with Polymerization to summon Flame Wingman (2100). This activated Raviel's ability. Every time Jaden summons a monster, Kagemaru can summon a sacred beast token (1000).
Jaden knew he would lose unless he came up with a new strategy, but then he was visited by the spirit of Professor Banner. Banner told him about the magic card he gave him and its affects. It turns into any magic card Jaden needs and reveals its true self when the cards are played right. Jaden tried it, and turned the card into Fusion Recovery. Everytime he changed it though, the cost was half of his life points (300 LP). He played it to bring Sparkman and Polymerization to his hand and then fused Sparkman with Wingman to create Shining Flame Wingman (2500).
His attack rose to 4900, 300 for hero monster in his graveyard. He used it to destroy Hamon, but due to Hamon's ability, Kagemaru received no damage when Hamon is attacked in defense mode. Kagemaru sacrificed the 2 beast tokens to raise Raviel attack (6000). He attacked with it, but Jaden blocked it with the second card he wished for (150 LPs) Diffusion. It separated Shining Flame Wingman and dodged the attack. Both monsters were destroyed by Uria, but Jaden summoned Clayman.
Afterwards he played the third card he wished for (75 LPs), Miracle Fusion. It allowed him to fuse monsters from his field and graveyard together. So he fused Sparkman, Avian, Burstsinatrix, and Clayman together to summon Electrum (2900 att). Afterwards, he used Banners card, Savietel, the Philosophers Stone. It gives Electrum more attack points by multiplying the number of monsters on Kagemaru's side, giving him a grand total of 14,500 attack points. Electrum destroyed Raviel and wiped out Kagemaru's life points.
After losing, Kagemaru turned back to an old man and Jaden taught him a lesson in believing in himself for power. Sheppard decided to keep the beast cards under his protection for now on and Jaden was hit with the news that the Promotion Exams were coming next week.
