TF06 Type SVGs

Your TF06 SVGs are very impressive. Could I just make one suggestion? The Divine-Beast icon seems to be Horakhty's head. Would you be able to give the grey sphere inside your one some facial features to match it? -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:32, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

I thought the icon was based off The Winged Dragon of Ra with its mouth open, charging up and about to fire off a beam of some sort.
That explains why the grey sphere doesn't look round on the sprite.
Now that you mention it, it does look like a face. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:52, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
It would probably help to try and identify what all of the icons are based off of... Spellcaster is pretty obvious, for instance, I think. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:02, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, the Spellcaster icon (and, apparently, Gem-Merchant) is based on (or at least an homage to) the Black Mage from Final Fantasy. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:40, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Coding

Hi Falzar. Recently, I've been thinking about redesigning my userpage to look, well, better. I had a panel system sort-of idea in mind, inspired by the Nokia Lumia phone's layout, but had no clue how to actually make it. I've always been an organizational freak, so I love your page, and I remembered it and how you have a similar navigational box, so I went ahead and edited it and made "my own" just to test things out. I really like the way it looks. However, I know that you made yours using your own coding expertise, and the last thing that I would want is to infringe on the creativity and individuality of your art, because I understand how important that is. Basically, to get to the point, I'm asking your permission to use the template (with all due credit given, of course) for my userpage. Rest assured, I don't plan to recreate yours or anything like that, so don't worry about that. That being said, I completely understand if you would prefer that I didn't use it. Thanks.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 02:43, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I'll definitely add credit, even if it is a simple table. I suck at stuff like this, so your template really helped. And I'm not really sure if I want all the boxes the same colour yet, TBH. I'm kinda just experimenting with how it looks for now.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 02:55, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
That's really handy. Thanks for the help! :D --YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 03:06, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Should you lock up his I.P. Code instead? I have noticed that he just don't give up. --iFredCat 14:32, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Would just lock him up then get rid of his work after that? --iFredCat 14:36, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
A mere 3 uploads doesn't mean I should ban him.
Normally I'd warn him first, but since many people have uploaded that image, I'd rather lock the page. However, for some reason the server is not letting me lock the page.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:40, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
I used to be able to lock deleted pages. But it seems it doesn't work any more. I think locking then deleting will delete the lock as well... -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:42, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
Alright, I am sure that maybe same user as previous one you just blocked. I know that's impossible unless he had hacking to change the code. --iFredCat 14:45, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
Protection worked fine for me. You use the Monobook skin, right, Falzar? In that case, protecting a deleted title is as simple as clicking the "protect" tab at the top of the page and going from there. Pages will have a create protect control, and files will have that and an upload protect control. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:38, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
That's what usually happens, but the only options were edit, move and upload, followed by an error message. No I don't remember what the error message said.
It seems to show that now though.
The upload protect option is still on allow all.

VG Booster Pack Article Name

When Video Game booster pack sets began to be added, they used to use a suffix at the end (such as in the case for Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy being (GX1-BP)), but I notice the Wiki hasn't been totally consistent on this. Could you apply the ^ above to the BAM booster packs, using something like (BAM-BP)?--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 15:07, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Why is that necessary? Parenthesised text at the end of page names is used when there are conflicting titles, not to add categorisation. I don't see why a set needs to mention what game its from and what type of set it is in brackets in the page name anymore than the Yusei Fudo article needs to be called Yusei Fudo (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's-Character-Male-Signer-Turbo Duelist). -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:18, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
@TwoTailedFox: I've applied it to BAM and the TF games.
@Deltaneos: A lot of the Tag Force ones are doubled up, might as well have them all the same I guess. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:19, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Redirect imports

Would you like your bot to have an admin flag, so it can deal with importing the couple of hundred redirects at a time, without flooding? -- Deltaneos (talk) 02:16, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

I actually haven't noticed that, since I prefer to look at the upload and move logs separately after looking through the recents, the bookmark I use includes hidelogs=1
I don't mind, is it safe for a bot to have an admin flag?
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:21, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
I hadn't though of the hidelogs. Nor had I noticed that WikiActivity doesn't even include logs. So it's not as big a deal as I thought it was.
The same dangers as giving a regular account an admin flag apply, I suppose. And amplification of the dangers of using a bot, where an edit shouldn't be hidden or human interaction is required. I wouldn't recommend using it for stuff like blocks, protections and non-trivial deletions. Importing redirects seemed non-controversial enough and I don't know if setting up a requests page is worth the effort. (We still don't have one for regular bot requests.) -- Deltaneos (talk) 02:53, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
Also, no one seemed to complain about the previous method where the redirects are created manually and can flood RC the whole day, with no filtering method. (Although that could have been because it seemed to be unavoidable)
Well if you do think it's necessary to import on a bot, then it's probably not necessary to set up a requests page since I'm the only one using it anyway so the previous request page can be carried over and cover it; and also according to the last comment at Talk:Chronomaly.
If it is added, the only other thing I'll probably do will be deleting pages which have an inappropriate title there.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 12:18, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
(RE: my comment on Talk:Chronomaly) The general purpose behind requiring people to request the admin bit or a bot flag is that both of these confer a huge amount of responsibility, since a person can wreak a lot of damage in short order; while all of it *should* be reversible (there are ways to damage the wiki that require directly editing the database to fix, if even that, assuming you're really familiar with the software, but we generally don't talk about them), it could still be a pain to clean up and the (other) admins generally don't have a good way to stop it (IIRC, a blocked admin can simply unblock themselves, and while admins can block bots, a bot is theoretically only throttled by network latency and server response times, meaning a bot acting malicious for even just a minute or two before being blocked can still wreak a huge amount of damage; in addition, admins cannot revoke either permission, except for the admin bit from their own account).
There is, however, still room here for well-reasoned exceptions; this, for instance, is a case where the person already has access to accounts with both relevant permissions, and has demonstrated consistently good judgement in the use of the abilities conferred by them, so it should be safe to assume that an explicit community request would pass unchallenged (and quite possibly even without comment).
More generally speaking (or, rather, kind of on the other end of the spectrum), the "rollback" and "mover" groups were split out from the admin group specifically to lower the bar for people needing these rights: admins can grant and revoke these groups, and the abilities they feature are extremely restricted, so the request pages for them serve more as notification boards letting any available admin see there's an editor expressing interest in the permission than any type of "you must do this and get community approval" thing; if you see someone that looks like they'd benefit from the abilities, and they seem to be generally competent as an editor, there's no reason not to just grant them the relevant usergroup (though you should tell them you've done so, so they know they have the new abilities). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 12:54, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

Various BAM questions

Is it too early to tell or is it possible for a card in Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM to be printed in more than one set? -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:47, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Currently, only one set. I don't see anything that suggests otherwise, so it should at least stay that way for a while.
(comment on an edit summary) In your deck, if you add up all the Life Points shown on your monsters, it is the amount of Life Points you start the duel with.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:43, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
On the same topic, maybe add a status to the template, add unreleased (which adds Unreleased content to the top of the page) and add nothing for released; if we are replacing List of Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM cards with a SMW query list.
Also, maybe something to say if it's in the shop or not or from an event. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:53, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
If we do the unreleased thing, it would be better to add it above the table, for two reasons: first, because it would be indicating that the BAM card itself is unreleased, and second, because there's no good method to add it to the top of the page regardless of where BAM card is called on the page. In this case, we would do something like section, or maybe a parameter to tell the template it's being used for BAM content or something. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:09, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
Wait, so every card type (anime, manga, _CG, each VG, etc) will be on the one main page? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:14, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
That's the current plan, though Delt has mentioned the possibility of creating separate "(BAM)" articles if the rest of the redesign takes too long to get to a deployable state... Even in that case, though, once the main part of the update *did* happen, I think the BAM articles would get merged into the main articles. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:28, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
If every single type is added, wouldn't that significantly increase the weight of the page and the load time?
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:38, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
For the shop/event suggestion, are cards obtained the same way in the shop and in events, i.e. you pay a certain amount of a particular currency, but just purchased in different places? Would it be okay to just add "shop", "event" or the name of the event in brackets after the cost? i.e. use [currency] [value] ([shop/event]). Or can the same card be purchased in more than one place?
For increased load time, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" would possibly be the biggest offender. I haven't had any loading time issues with the draft, but I can't speak for everyone. I don't think the separate articles suggestion is a bad idea. Things might be neater that way. Although ideas of giving separate articles to anime/manga versions of cards with different effects and cards from all video games with obscured rules have been rejected before. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:03, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
I just don't like the separate pages idea. I've never liked how e.g. currently we handle Bandai cards separately from their OCG/TCG equivalents, though it is understandable given the design of CT2, but other than that, with multiple pages we end up with questions of how to handle names - current practice, as far as I've seen at least, is to copy the whole slew of names between pages. The redesign will have unofficial names in their own section, separate from any of the card tables, but the problem is still there.
Aside from that, though, I think we already juggle more than enough pages per card; we should probably be looking at pruning some of them (Card Names and Card Lores, in particular, should be rendered completely pointless by the redesign, and TTF will have to show he has something crazy awesome in mind for the Card Sets namespace to convince me it wasn't already useless when it was added, and even more so with Card table set) instead of institutionalizing new ones.
As far as page load times are concerned, the real problem lies in page save times - currently, it takes the server over 20 seconds to parse User:Dinoguy1000/DM cards after each save, but that page should already be far, far heavier than 99.9% of our card articles will ever have any right whatsoever to be, and we're not having articles like that in the mainspace anyways. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:53, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
Trivia can be lightened quite a bit with the "actual article content" part. If we don't get rid of Card Lores, I think we should roll it together with Card Errata, to be honest. I really think Artworks should be a subsection of Gallery as well.
I'm not sold on separate pages either, unless the load/save issue is really that much of a problem. We did originally have separate CardTables in the Appearances pages, which I completely ripped out a while back after some discussion. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:34, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
We need to have one big namespaces discussion where we decide whether we really want all of the current namespaces (or if there's any other namespaces we might like to have for whatever reason) and, if so, how we might change them (for instance, I've thought for a while that instead of having separate "Card Gallery", "Set Card Gallery", "Episode Card Gallery", etc. namespaces, we should really just have a single "Gallery" namespace), but any such changes would require a very large amount of work on our end, which I'm leery of adding on top of the very large amount of work we've already got lined up what with the image policy and card article updates in the works. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:39, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
BEWD is incomplete and is already just over 2 MB in size. Since the majority of the pages will have about 5 images it's not too big of a problem I guess.
Event cards appear in the shop for 1 day. Except Millennium Shield, which was a gift given directly to accounts. Quite a lot of cards used to be in the shop, but are removed (Cardmageddon) and are not available now. So perhaps [currency] [value] ([shop (available/unavailable)/event (name)])
There are also cards which are given as rewards for completing certain (parts of the) chapters and completing objectives which may be better to have recorded on a sub page and not on the card article. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 04:00, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
What are you using to measure the page size? tools.pingdom.com gives me slightly different figures each time, but is usually a bit over 900 kilobytes or 1.6 megabytes on the mobile skin. (I would have expected the mobile skin to be the smaller of the two.) These days the average webpage size is 1286 kilobytes. There are a few problems with pages reaching that size.
So some cards are only available a short period of time and if you miss that or hadn't started playing at that time, you'll never get a chance to get that card? That seems a bit... harsh.
  • Cost/resell: Duel Points 1000 (shop: available) / Duel Points 500
  • Cost/resell: Duel Points 2000 (event name) / Duel Points 800
Seems a bit long. A second table row perhaps:
  • Acquisition: Shop (unavailable)
    Cost/resell: Duel Points 1000 / Duel Points 500
  • Acquisition: Event name
    Cost/resell: Duel Points 2000 / Duel Points 800
Or is this something we should integrate into the sets section, which has yet to be added? -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:57, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
I saved the page and read it off the two files (folder and HTML doc)
Yep, it's harsh. However, as mentioned in Psychic Time Warp (BAM-BP), the game data seems to suggest that they will be in Booster Packs eventually. Also IIRC, Grand BAM (a dev) as mentioned that Millennium Shield will be put into a Booster Pack eventually.
The second row looks nice to me. Cost goes with resell, but resell doesn't really go with sets. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:38, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
How about cards that are Craftable? Do we list the cards required? And I noticed that the BAM Legend Craftable cards have no resell price.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 13:27, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
It should be added, since Fusion Materials are listed for TCG/OCG cards. (Then that list can also be made into a SMW query)
They aren't listed since the ones adding to the table don't have access to the confirmed values (see User talk:BAM Master)
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:08, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
[Reset indent] On the Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM/Crafting page, what are the "Craft Cost" and "Shop Price" columns referring to? -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:26, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
When you craft a card, you need two cards and also pay the "Craft Cost".
Most cards are also in the shop, which is what the "Shop Price" refers to.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:35, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, crafting has been added to the template. Does the whole "gift" concept need any documentation in the table? -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:27, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
I'd say it's not worth it, since the gifts are worth very little, are always in the shop and change quite often.
Also, you can probably use the those event icons I added yesterday when an event is specified.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:05, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
For "crafting_material", why not make it the same format as the current "fm1" and "fm2" in CardTable2?
The syntax for that should be easier when the table is used and that crafting list can SMWified easier. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:34, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not sure if you noticed, but the current setup is SMWified. value list takes a bulleted list and adds a specified property to each item. It even works if the values are linked. That makes it easier to add cards like "Jinzo #7" as values, without needing separate parameters for "Jinzo 7" and "Jinzo #7".
The number of crafting material is always exactly two, so it might be neater to use "1" and "2" parameters, but there are a lot of similar things, such as "archsupport", with varying and increasing maximum numbers. It's handier to use one unified parameter for these to support an arbitrarily high number of items and it's consistent to use the same setup for all similar parameters. -- Deltaneos (talk) 03:03, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
I mean, "that crafting list". Unless the two "Material n" columns are going to be merged. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:24, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
Would you prefer they not be merged? If so, we should be able to split the query results and put each card in a separate cell, though they'll be appropriately formatted by default to make it clear that there're two cards. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:29, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
There shouldn't be a problem with merging them, as there's no point in sorting that column anyways. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:33, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
[Edit conflict] If we were to try and avoid that problem that way we would also need separate properties Crafting material 1::Dream Clown", Crafting material 2::Ookazi</code>. I think that should be avoided.
Anyway, I think we should, some time, move on to using format=template for a lot more of those #ask lists. We don't have an awful lot of control with the default format. We can't even add pipes to links where we don't want the article name displayed. -- Deltaneos (talk) 03:43, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
[A different edit conflict] Sorry, I'm struggling a bit with the shop/event stuff.
  • If you obtain a card through an event, do you still have to pay for it?
  • Can the same card be obtained from more than one event?
  • Can the same card be obtained from both the shop and an event?
  • Do cards purchased from different events/the shop have the same price?
-- Deltaneos (talk) 03:43, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
The card is available during that event, where you can buy it (you pay)
Currently, all event cards are exclusive to that event.
During the event, the card appears for 1 day in the shop (or you can buy it on the "News" screen, which essentially does the same thing).
Also, about the Unreleased content suggestion above. I mean, at the top of Template:BAM card. Add something like {{ #ifeq: {availability} | Not Yet Released | Unreleased content  |}}
Another suggestion, since there will be people who want to sort by release date maybe add a release_date parameter?
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:49, January 1, 2013 (UTC) edited on 05:19, January 1, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, sets and release dates left to add. So far, there's at most four ways of achieving a specific card:
  • Get it in a Booster Pack.
  • Buy it in an event or the main shop.
  • Craft it.
  • Get it as a gift.
Now, the neatest way of documenting these... Maybe group them together in an "acquisition" section.
  • Although every card has a rarity, it only has meaning in the context of their Booster Pack ("Millennium Shield" possibly excepted)? So we could put the set name and rarity on one row?
  • The event name or shop on one row, followed by the cost. "Resell" isn't specific to this, so should be put separate.
  • If we could fit the material and cost in one row, it would be neat. Although I tried a few variations before and decided separate rows look best.
  • Gift, we don't note, unless the card can't be achieved through the other three. Alternatively, it could only be used if it's a special gift. I think we'll still want to mention the special gift "Millennium Shield" if it is later printed in a Booster Pack.

The table can be changed to have more appropriate colours. Input would be largely the same. We'd just need parameters for the set name and shop/event release date. Another option is to move the "acquisition" table outside the main table, making it consistent with the sets section for OCG/TCG cards. I think that would be neater, but it would leave the main table very bare for Spell Cards. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:42, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
I agree that it should be kept inside the table, also because unlike _CG cards, the list will be short.
For the rarity, most cards don't appear in a booster pack and event cards have rarity. If a card would be released in multiple places, the rarity will all be the same.
availability, release_date, availability2, release_date2, etc?
Yes for the others.
Also, can the image of the BAM cards only be resized to 200px only if it is more than 200px? The original size of all the cards are 197px, which makes it blur.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:15, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Better idea, then; just change the image size to 197px. If this is the original size of all the BAM card images, there should never be a reason for someone to go around uploading BAM card images larger than this. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 22:00, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, so I'll move rarity back to its original placement. That's also beneficial in that the third column in the acquisition table is now for costs only.
Since you're mentioning those availability2, release_date2 parameters, do you mean the same card can be available through more than one event?
Examples here, so I don't fill up your talk page too much this time. (I don't know why "width" and "max-width" are not being obeyed in the second example.) -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:22, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
From memory, the combinations currently are
Event and Booster
Shop/Shop (unavailable) and Booster
Shop and Crafting
Crafting
Shop, Booster and Crafting
availability, release_date, availability2, release_date2, etc covers any one of those in the order of release date. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:28, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
I had planned on leaving the crafting parameters the way they are, using one for the set and SMW can grab its release date and putting shop and event together. That gives us

-- Deltaneos (talk) 22:45, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Oh ok. Crafting has a release date as well.
Or to make it more simple, we can just record the initial release date (when the card was first available) and not the release date of each one. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:51, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, no problem adding that (unless you count long parameter names).
I've also been thinking a better name for the availability parameter would be "purchase" and there's probably better choices than that too.
Instead of having "Shop" and "Shop (unavailable)", we could just use "shop" add the removal_date parameter, which can be set to either the date or "true", if the date is unknown. I'm just a bit cautious about space considerations. For events, are the cards always only available the day they are added? So their removal date would be the day after. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:02, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
In theory and as announced in their announcements, yes one day after.
But I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing the bug, but during the Xmas event, I can still buy the same card two days in a row, so I can buy two different event cards per day. For simplicity sake probably ignore this.
The initial release date is probably the only date that's worth mentioning. As for shop (unavailable)/removal_date, perhaps just make it Shop (unavailable). The events can also link to that page for now. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:20, January 2, 2013 (UTC)

Boss Monster page

I want to create a page that lists the "Boss Monsters" for each archetype and series. I think it's a good idea because a Boss monsters is almost always present in an archetype or series, with the exception of some of the smaller ones, or ones whose members are released each in different sets. Could you try to back up my opinion for those who try to delete my page? I really would like it to stay. Guardmaster (talkcontribs) 22:04, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

Duel Monster Spirits

I can't recall if its the new version of SMW not supporting it or Negref no longer being a thing, but one or the other has caused parameters in infoboxes that should link automatically to not do so anymore. The most affected pages are in Category:Duel Monster Spirits. Would be able to run a bot run to link all of them in the "corresponding card" parameter? I should have linked you to this. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:36, December 28, 2012 (UTC)

Reminder

I left a question for you on Cheesedude's talk page. (New response Bump)--UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:11, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Basically, there are two images of "Sheep Token". When it is on the field, it is displayed as a grey Token card, with no details (the same applies for Monster, Spell, and Trap Cards in general; there are no special details when they are on the field, in your hand, or at the top of your Graveyard). However, by selecting the "Detail Screen" option, I see ONLY the artwork of the Token (much like the artworks we have from the Tag Force games), along with the lore printed to the right of the image. The image I initially got was not this image, but an image shown when an opponent's monster attacked the "Sheep Token", which displayed the Token card itself, name and artwork included (lore is blurred out, as it is for all cards in the videogame). That was the image I took. What I'm wondering is which image I should take: the image only showing the artwork (the proper way of viewing them in-game), or the image of it in battle, which shows the Token card in its entirety, with its name and artwork. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:45, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
Nyeh... I was referring to gx01 this whole time, which is Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy. Does that put things into perspective? Sorry for the mix-up... With that, I ask the above question again. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:46, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
Don't want to be iffy here, but since you are cutting the grey-corners off on all the gx01 cards you are uploading, should I do the same? =/ I would rather the pattern be consistent than us going in opposite directions (and I would also prefer the grey corners to be left on, but it's your call). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:34, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Second "Banished Zone"

-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:14, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
It should be Monster type::!Tuner monster, but there seems to be a problem with excluding values with spaces in them. e.g. Type::!Insect works, but Type::!Winged Beast doesn't. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:17, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
So in other word, "Monster type" and "Card type" can be using in multiple and various lists? Or should they be using only once? --iFredCat 00:00, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Battle

We had no page for battle, so I created one, and now there are lots of card lores with "battle" that need linking. I was adding the link in some I remembered, but Kuriboh advised me to talk to you. You have some faster way to do this sorta stuff, don't you? :X Would you mind helping me out here? I don't think I'd be able to find all the cards with "battle" in their lores anyway. :P LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:57, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Yep, that's it. I almost confused it with stuff like "you take no damage from battles involving this card" though.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. All lores which mentions "battle" that I remember specifically say "battle this monster", "battle a LIGHT monster", etc. None says just "when this monster battles", for example. Still, I can't say if a direct attack would be considered battle as well. It does involve the monster attacking during the battle phase, although it doesn't confront another monster. :/ Guess just Konami would be able to say for sure. For now, I guess we should leave it alone, as we have no confirmation. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:28, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks.
Oh, nice catch. So, according to those 2, direct attacks do count as battle. I think cards that use "attacked or was attacked" are just a matter of different wording, like "remove from play" and "banish". Although, as there's an article for "attack", the link for it should be enough in those cases. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:24, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
Lol, forgot I had World Championship 2011 downloaded. I'm gonna test it in the game, by that way we can know it for sure. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:38, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, read your reply late. :P Anyway, that Six Samurai support trap worked for me with a direct attack as well, so, yeah, it's confirmed - "battle" includes direct attacks. Thanks for all the help. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:10, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Sub-Type/Secondary Type?

I don't know, the situation seems to have resolved itself with the existence of Category:Secondary types of Monster Cards. Can't you just rename "Monster effect archetypes" under "Advanced" in Template:Gameplay to "Secondary Types"? On another note (this should be more simple), could you move "Flip" (under "Normal", under "Summoning mechanics", under "Intermediate") between "Normal" and "Special"? This is because a Flip Summon doesn't use up a Normal Summon/Set. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:27, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Done. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:37, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
I forgot; could you also add the Plus, Minus, and Plus Minus Secondary Types there as well? I'm not sure if you should de-note them all as Anime only or remove the pre-existing Anime only thing. I'll leave that for you to decide. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:50, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Odd coin cards formula

I have another idea to calculate the resell prices for odds coin cards. It seems to be rather strange, but as far as I see, I haven't been wrong once with that formula:

Resell price odd cards = Sell price divided by 2 and add up 2.5.
For example; Resell price of Fungi of the Mask = 1525/2 + 2.5 = 765; Akihiron = 25275/2 + 2.5 = 12640.

For reverse formula: Shop price = (Resell price - 2.5)*2. --BAM Master (talkcontribs) 04:08, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

"Gem Dragon" problem

So, a while back I tried to fix the "Luster Dragon #2" redirect problem and in my experimenting, renamed "Luster Dragon 2" to "Luster Dragon 3" briefly. However, this ended up leaving a red link on the "Gem Dragon" Nav box, as well as on the list of monsters seen here (and probably more). I assumed it would go away after a while (I still don't know how cards get listed on the Nav boxes for archetypes/series). Could you (or any other competent user who sees this) help correct my blunder? And also, how do cards get listed on those nav boxes, other than listing the cards themselves as part of an archetype/series? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:04, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Wrong game, buddy.

I don't think it look like Yu-Gi-Oh! to me, it's more of Magic the Gathering base on the way cards position and spell card's placement. --iFredCat 03:26, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Template:Monsters and Monster Cards has lots of links which do not have pages. I think there was something which said that if the list would be empty, the page shouldn't be created, thus leaving the link red.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 13:01, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
I've been creating all the lists, regardless of whether they turn out to be empty or not, as I've been creating the templates to generate them; my basic line of reasoning has been that perhaps our tagging of that stuff (especially the non-OCG/TCG stuff) isn't perfect, and many of the now-empty lists may eventually end up with members as our quality of coverage continues to improve (especially with the perpetually-upcoming card page redesign, which will be a huge step forward in coverage exhaustiveness). I'm not sure what we'll want to do with lists that remain empty even after we achieve theoretically-perfect coverage, though, but I'd be inclined to say that, for "closed" card properties (i.e. anything that gets new types only once in a blue moon, if even that - card types, monster types, Types, Attributes, etc.), empty lists aren't going to hurt anything. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:09, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
Wouldn't you try create an "Anime Extreme" template? Pretty like my template for Card Errata, 1 for Konami's such to printing version and 2's is for my own. As that article are made for anime only (much like Bastion's Magnet monsters) that don't required OCG/TCG "member" links. If you think that I missed "Manga", go ahead, make 2 in "Anime" stead. --iFredCat 13:21, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not actually sure just what you're asking for, here. If you mean a version of the list templates that doesn't feature an OCG/TCG section, for those lists which don't have OCG/TCG members, that's something I've thought about but never really pursued; I'll have to have a closer look at it. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:27, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
You have summary it all up perfectly. Just like my version compare to the Card Errata template - my version lacked images and I can only put 2 difference at same time, instead of having a multiple amount of difference. That's kindly of the idea. --iFredCat 13:46, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

Invader of Darkness

Hey, Falzar. A user decided to move Invader of Darkness (card) to Invader of Darkness. It made enough sense to me, as a we're an English wiki and that was a Japanese pack. There are a number of galleries and card pages that need to be botted to reflect Invader of Darkness being renamed Invader of Darkness (set). Could you take care of that? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 01:45, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Cosmo Blazer - Portuguese name

Hello. The cards from Cosmo Blazer shows that the Portuguese name of the pack is "Exploção Cosmica", but the correct name is "Explosão Cósmica". Can you use your Bot to change all those names, or it should be done manually? Thanks. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 17:05, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Translations

Translations should follow the manual of style as well (i.e. "The effect of 'Judgment Dragon'" rather than "'Judgment Dragon's' effect"), right? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 03:15, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Token Mechanics

Could you find a way to reconcile the point in Token Monster#Token Mechanics where it mentions Tokens not being able to banished as a cost with the ruling of "Unibird"? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:20, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

More Astral SVGs

To complement the other Attribute icons you've uploaded (e.g. File:DARK-IT.svg) could you create vectors for the Astral Attribute icons, separate from the plain text Attribute glyphs? Thanks. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:33, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry to bundle more work on you, but could we also get the current glyphs SVGs in another colour? Template:Anime card has a language tab for Astral. But Xyz Monsters have a black heading, so black glyphs aren't visible there. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:02, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Silver/White or yellow? Both are used in the anime. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:04, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
I was wondering about that too. I thought you'd have a better idea than me of which to use, so I kept quiet. I thought that one of them was the anime's rendering of a foil version, but I could be wrong. If one isn't considered more standard than the other, I'd say the white version, since it'd match the other language tabs (unless you feel like doing both). -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:12, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
I prefer seeing the white version when the background is black. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:18, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
Silver, actually. Is naming them File:Symbol-Astral-☆-Silver.svg ok? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:42, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, that's fine. We should be able to easily add a "color" parameter to the templates to switch between the two. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:50, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

"Card Trivia" glitch

I remember seeing another user report the same problem but I forget where... Anyways, there is no "Trivia" link for "Chewbone Jr."; it just links to the creation page for "Chewbone Jr., Card Trivia:Chewbone Jr.". Could you fix it please? The Card Trivia page for "Chewbone Jr." already exists, but "Trivia" doesn't link there. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:43, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Tag Force 5 ripping?

I was just wondering if you could tell me how to RIP the Tag Force 5 Card Artworks?

I have been googling/youtubing it for days and can not find anything.

I have searched through the ISO but there are a ton of files that I have never even heard of, let alone know which one has the artwork and even how to open it.

Would greatly appreciate your help, I'm stuck... MrTravisL (talkcontribs) 19:10, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Captions.

Hello. I need the captions for Duel Academy Akiza, Angry Mina and Enforcer Kalin.

Ex: Upon completing the story, the Player will recieve three copies of Gigaplant and the photo "Akiza Izinski - ??????"

Think you can do it?

Not those captions, the captions in the Tag Force 4 pics like "Yusei Fudo - Partner" or "Carly Carmine - Tragic Love". Things like that. You know, the Tag Force 4 photo gallery. I think it's like a title pic.

It's complicated.

"Laugh" Icon

Yo, Falzar. Could you please make an icon for the LAUGH Attribute? It's exclusive from the Charisma Token from V Jump, Cheesedude told me the Attribute should be noted and stuff, so, tanomu. ^^ The Kanji is "笑", while the Furigana seems to be "わらい" ("warai"). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:50, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

The best I could find, at least. I think just one guy scanned it and posted on the internet, and the others just took the scan from him, so they're all the same size. :/ LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:40, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Sure, it's just a joke Attribute used for a single card, we don't need to have a super HQ icon. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:00, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
It looks great! Thanks. ^^ LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:38, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Redirects on Special:FewestRevisions

Hey Falzar, could I get you to do a bot run on the card number and set number redirects listed on Special:FewestRevisions? I've tested null-editing one of the redirects and it doesn't remove it from the list; I suspect a minor edit is thus required, but it's currently impossible to confirm since the list is filled out well past 1000 items with only two edits each by the redirects, so editing one could not fix this, but instead simply move it up to the set of items with three edits. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:51, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

The list goes up to 2 revisions and the number 3 in alphabetical order.
The ones after 3 will be on the list after removing the current ones.
Your edit at 10:27, February 22, 2013‎ on 00032864 didn't remove it (yet) because the cache of Special:FewestRevisions was not updated. The cache was last updated on 07:08, February 22, 2013.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:22, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
Before I attempted that edit, I attempted a normal null edit and waited until after the cache had been updated again to see if it did the trick. It's only after that failed to get any results that I tried a minor edit, at which point I realized I wouldn't be able to tell if it worked one way or the other unless they were all edited similarly, hence my request (and yeah, I'm aware the list currently covers only up to the 3s, and thus will take multiple runs over several days to clear the two-edit entries). ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:38, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Shouldn't there be pages with 1 revision?
They should make the list ignore redirects as those pages aren't supposed to be edited much so there's no point in listing them.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:51, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
If we had any pages with only 1 revision, they'd be on there (or at least they should; I don't know of any one-revision articles off-hand around here).
Redirects aren't supposed to be listed, and indeed, there are a massive number of redirects with only 1 revision which aren't. I suspect that the redirects which are listed there are ones that haven't been edited for years and have some error in their DB info causing the special page to treat them as regular articles, in which case my hope is that minor edits will force the wiki to correct the DB and thus remove them from the list. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 14:54, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
There are lots of pages with 1 revision. None are on the list.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
If it lists main space only, then List of Normal Speed Spell Cards has 1 revision.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:06, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Here is Special:FewestRevision's source code; you'll notice that it is supposed to filter out redirects. I can't speak for the other stuff, since I don't know enough PHP to grep it properly and I'm too tired to be able to decipher it right now, but at the very least it means that the redirects we currently have listed there shouldn't be there, and with any luck a minor edit will cause them to be removed - but the only way we can find out is to minor-edit all of them, until we push the list past the transition between those pages with two edits and those with three so that we can make sure they didn't simply move down the list. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:03, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
They should just get pushed down because 23232295 is a new redirect that had 2 revisions. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:06, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
'options' => array ( 'HAVING' => 'COUNT(*) > 1',, and the comments after it, seems to be pages with more than 1 revision, so it ignores 1 revision.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:13, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Then... I'm at a loss. There's a bug in something somewhere, but it's anyone's guess as to whether it's in Wikia code or the underlying MediaWiki software, at least without more intimate knowledge of the codebase. I don't suppose you've been comparing the pages listed there with those in Category:Card number redirects, have you?
At any rate, even if this only pushes the redirects down the list, this will at least let us get an idea of what actual content pages lurk at the bottom. In particular, since one-edit pages seem to be excluded, it'll be interesting to see what "List of" pages have only two edits. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:16, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
You can just compare the bot's edits instead of Special:FewestRevisions.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:25, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Spellbook

Could you do a bot run to replace instances of "Magic Book" in the "trans" parameter with "Spellbook" instead? They mean the same thing. Literalism and all that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:04, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

I derped. Search for "Magical Book", not "Magic Book". "Spellbook Organization" should be included in the run. "Spellbook Inside the Pot" is fine as-is, since it is the official English name. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:47, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Just minor curiousity

Based on this: User:Falzar FZ/Sandbox11/3 Does that mean that Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM will implement numbering on the cards? Compared to this list User:Falzar FZ/Sandbox11, the list on Sandbox11/3 seems to differ from Sandbox11 in both numbering and the order. Also, the list on Sandbox11/3 seems to have gaps.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 11:23, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

  • Also, Gradius was there? I thought the devs already scrapped the card. Also, the numbering seems to indicate the order in which cards are released (newer cards occupy the later numbers with the last card of the original 336 cards numbered as 473) which keeps me wondering why Gradius was numbered 515 (which indicates that it should have been released alongside Last Stand and the Spellcaster cards).Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 11:27, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
It's been in the game data for a long time already, but there never seemed to be a way to see it normally.
The main list uses a number which happens to be the same as the card database number.
The 3rd list is a list in the game data.
I don't know what is happening with Gradius, but there has always been a function which handles the Konami Code in the game data, but I never figured out where you're supposed to enter it. I think it's a promo which is given when you enter the Konami Code in a certain place.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:43, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
The gaps happen to correspond to updates.
584 - Between Thunder and Continuous Spells
595 to 597 - Beteeen Continuous Spells and Rock
610 - Between Rock and Psychic
645 - Between BAM-o-ween and Dinosaur
656 to 666 - Between Dinosaur and Fish
668 to 676 - Between Dinosaur and Fish
697 - Between Reptile and Aqua
755 to 769 - Between X-mas/Boss and Gusto
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:53, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
Well, there are also gaps in the main list (there is no 24-67, 74-77 for instance). If the numbering in the 3rd list was deliberate, then the gaps doesn't make sense since they're going to place any new cards on later numbers, unless they're not planning to actually implement card numbering. Also, is it possible to enter the Konami Code using the Keyboard as an interface? Oh, and does that mean that Gradius already have an effect? Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 12:07, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
Closed beta only cards maybe? But if there was data for those, it's not there now and have been deleted.
The card database also has gaps in their numbers, no clue as to why though.
Yes, I have the image, but I was testing to see what method Blackwings0605 was using to get his data (whether he gets an image or just text). However he never responded and I forgot about it.
Yes, you can enter the Konami code on the keyboard.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 12:19, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
If the numbering follows the numbering of the card DB, at least some of the missing numbers will be VG-only cards from TSC and the like; the card DB seems to have used its card list in establishing the order of cards and instead of just skipping the VG-only cards, skipped their corresponding numbers thus leaving empty spots where they would otherwise be. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 14:56, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
The list which follows the database numbers is missing the cards which aren't in the game (or did not appear in the closed beta, I think).
If anyone happens to be curious as to why some are manually listed and some are automatic, then it's because they used to only include the Database ID on the images, not the card data. Only after the Winged Beast update did they include the Database ID in the card data as well.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:41, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
Oh yeah, there was a list of cards by number for a video game and it was the same as the database ones and it also included VG exclusives, wasn't there? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:43, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Dinoguy is talking about the first list (the ones whose card number is 4000+), right? And about the third list (the one staring at #4), if the gaps were from Closed Beta only cards, then there are apparently 136 of those (too much). And Armed Ninja was a closed-beta card. Why didn't they used Armed Ninja's previous number when they remade that card? It's not like the gaps in the numbers are reserved for something else.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 23:18, February 24, 2013 (UTC)
I think so.
It's treated as a different card I guess, since it's stats/effects are completely different.
The other odd thing about the first list is Polymerization is 4837, as it should be. But Polymerization (Fusion) was given the number 4867. Which is not in the card database.

Crest of "Shien"

Would it be possible for you to isolate and create a custom image for the symbol of "Shien"? If possible, could you make it like the symbol of the "Laval"? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 14:16, February 26, 2013 (UTC)

You mean that symbol?
It's possible.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:06, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Well, that's the "Six Samurai" symbol, but if you would like to make that too, that would be great! What I originally meant was the symbol that can be seen in the artworks of "Shien's Advisor", "Shien's Smoke Signal", etc.. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:19, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
What are you using the symbols for?
There are other archetypes which have symbols, should I make all of them while I'm at it? If so, can I have a list of the archetype name and a card which contains a clear image of the symbol.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:09, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I'm not really using them for anything important. =| Just to add to the archetype pages, like "Steelswarm" and "Laval". Archetypes with emblems include: "Barian's Force", "Dark Scorpion", "Destiny HERO" (examples being "Destiny Signal"/"D - Time"), "Elemental HERO" ("Hero Signal"), "Ice Barrier" (motif seen on "Medallion of the Ice Barrier"), "Koa'ki Meiru" (motif seen on every monster), "Landstar" (seen on "Landstar Shot" and "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar"), and the "lswarm" (shown on some of the monsters). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:47, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
How's this. Preview of some of them.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:59, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
Whew, that was quick. I guess that you did these ahead of time, seeing as how I didn't ask you about the crest of the "Constellar" >->. But yeah, those look great! (Oh yeah, and maybe straighten the "D" for the "Destiny HEROes".) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 06:03, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
I had a couple done already before you asked for Shien, Koa'ki Meiru would have been included if I remember where I saved it.
I thought about straightening the D, but it didn't seem to look as cool :P Are there any other images with that D on it?
Barian's Force symbol is the image itself right? So that can the same image. Similar to Gishki Aquamirror being the symbol itself as well.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:13, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
Eh, there's "D - Formation" and "Eternal Dread". It also appears tilted to the right in "D - Acceleration" and "D - Force". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 06:56, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
Then it is possible that having it tilted is official. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:07, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:30, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
Agh! What is wrong with "Landstar"? They been too long in the sun!? Make it lighter please! Also, I was thinking that maybe the crest of the "Koa'ki Meiru" could be edited to only include the 3 symbols with the dot in the middle, as the "Koa'ki Meiru" monsters don't have that border on their bodies. Fun fact: I think that scorpion is smiling at me... And last thing, I feel that issues will be raised by other users regarding the position of the "D" symbol... I really prefer it be straight, but just warning in advance. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:43, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
LOL "Landstar", I forgot to take into account of the shadow on the shield.
As for "Koa'ki Meiru", I wanted a dark background for it, you'll see why when I upload one without the background.
I'll straighten it to match the H.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:49, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

So I found some new "crests"... "Gishki", "Gem-Knight" and "Gusto". You can find examples of the "Gishki" crest at "Evigishki Tetrogre", "Evigishki Soul Ogre", "Evigishki Mind Augus" and the two mirrors (I personally prefer blue, if you can make one, as that's how the Duel Terminal presented it). No time to look now, but I know that you can find 1 example of the "Gem-Knight" emblem on the chest of "Gem-Knight Crystal". Last, I don't remember off the top of my head where there is an example of "Gusto" crest, but you can find 1 example here. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:24, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

I mentioned the Gishki crest above.
Take your time to look for them. since I don't have time to draw anything for a while.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:26, March 11, 2013 (UTC)
Will search then. Feel free to make the symbols anytime.
The symbol of the Gishki is actually on the mirror itself; it isn't the mirror. On a side note, I don't think your indefinite protection is necessary any more for "Dark Armed Dragon". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:30, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

That one doesn't seem to be the crest of Gem-Knight, it's just Crystal's own one shining. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 09:52, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Crest-AllyofJustice.svg
Any more? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:53, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
The symbol of the "Spellbook" archetype. Although it also appears in the artworks of all the Arcana-themed "Prophecy" monsters, I feel that the symbol represents the "Spellbook" archetype since all Arcana "Prophecy" monsters use the Spellbooks and specifically support that archetype (the sole exception being "Stoic of Prophecy"), while none of the "Spellbook" cards specifically support the "Prophecy" archetype.
Also, where did you get the font style for AOJ? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:00, April 29, 2013 (UTC)
Are you referring to the array of circles and quadrants? Easily seen on Spellbook of Eternity.
It's an image, not a font.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:36, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
No, I mean the symbol seen in the artworks of cards like "Spellbook of Judgment", "Spellbook Star Hall" and "Spellbook Magician of Prophecy". For AOJ, I ask because "Ally of Justice Quarantine" used a different font in the lettering in its artwork (meaning I'm asking, "What artwork did you take the image for AOJ from?"). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:53, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
My references are always in the image summary.

They can't get negated, so they are Conditions.

Hey. I just came across Forum:Reasons why cards are Forbidden/Limited/List, and I was wondering if you could make this into a permanent article?--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 02:04, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

The thing is, while some are very well-reasoned, they are ultimately opinions at best. Nowadays, Konami selectively Forbids/Limits/Semi-Limits/Unlimits cards so as to promote certain Decks and gain sales for new cards. A healthy metagame comes second when they form their banlists today (no, really). I hope you weren't talking about moving it to the mainspace... --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:17, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I thought it was somewhat too opinionative for the main articles.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:19, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
Only moving what could be objectively written. For example, listing some card's roles in FTK's, lack of cost vs. reward, etc. Not every player (certainly not ones new to the game) knows the hows and whys of why some cards are/were banned. I'm certainly not suggesting speculation on metagame impact be moved across.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 03:18, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
You can copy those over I suppose. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:43, March 7, 2013 (UTC)

Remaining Capsule Monsters icons

You've already uploaded vectors of many of the icons for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters Collectible Figure Game. If you have time could you do the remainder? To you they're probably very easy; basic shapes with numbers inside them. It's just that there's a lot of them.

If you look at File:BlueEyesWhiteDragonSet1-CM-EN.png.

  • The purple circle shows the Monster Cost. It can be between 2 and 5 inclusive.
  • The blue diamond is shows the Hit Points. It can be between 3 and 9 inclusive.
  • The green circle is the Movement Cost. It can be between 0 and 2 inclusive.
  • The green triangle is the Movement Range. It can be between 1 and 4 inclusive.
  • The red circle is the Attack Cost. It can be between 0 and 2 inclusive.
  • The red triangle is the Attack Range. It can be between 1 and 3 inclusive.

It seems like some cards like Bladefly and Gusto Thunbolt are using the old format of [TYPE/ATT] BOOST ALL, while some cards like Ancient Lizard Warrior and Cyber Commander is using BOOST ALL [TYPE/ATT] xxx instead of BOOST ALL [TYPE/ATT] MONSTERS xxx.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 07:44, March 8, 2013 (UTC)
Their wording being inconsistent for Boost/Cripple/Immune All [Type] has been a problem for a long time. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:25, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

Fusion

On your next bot run, would you replace all links to all the things that redirect to Fusion (archetype) to that article? There are still some card pages pointing to "Polymerization (series), among other things. Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:49, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

Should be done for all non-Talk/Forum pages. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:25, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Ancient Sorcerer - Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM

Based on your post on the Ask the Devs thread on the forums, it seems that you already have the card data for Ancient Sorcerer (basing on what you said that it is a weak card). Do you have the card image, or just the text data? If you have the card image already, I'll be grateful it if you upload it. Well, you could include it as an additional info just like Legendary Pack (BAM-BP) and Novice Pack (BAM-BP). I'm just curious on how they initially adapted that card.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 13:29, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

Just like Gradius, I have the image, I'm just hanging on to it for a while :P
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 13:33, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
I assume that you're just waiting for Grand Bam's answer. Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 13:37, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, I'll upload both as I get an answer from them.
Gradius is just a weak PROMO, Ancient Sorcerer has a generic effect. Both have low stats.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 13:45, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
Well, is there a chance that they might change Ancient Sorcerer and Gradius' effects just like what they did to Armed Ninja? If that happens, please do still upload those cards even for historical purposes.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 13:56, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

Namespace

Hey, Falzar. Please check out User:JoePlay/note when you have a chance and do the bot run for it. Long story, but there were some backend changes made today that messed a few things up. The quickest and easiest way to fix it is to a use a bot. Even Staff said "use a bot". Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:33, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

NVM, but keep an eye on the talk page for the page I linked you too. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:43, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

Birdman Loop‎‎

Thanks for the fix on the Birdman Loop page. I tried taking care of that for you, but apparently the "Undo" didn't undo anything. :/ Wilren (talkcontribs) 08:40, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

It did, 72.234.215.143 edited the page twice. Your undo undid only one of them.
You needed to go to the history page, select it so that you go back two revisions, then click compare, then undo.

Another bot run request

Hey, Falzar. Dinoguy made some changes to Decklist, so we no longer need to manually add <br /> between each Decklist when there is more than one right after each other. Thing is, since it does so automatically now, all the pages show with double breaks instead. Can you do a bot run to remove them? Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:02, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

Request

So, I have a bot request. Since the Croatian interwiki links do not work here, I suppose the bot should be used to clear the rest of the links (if there are any left). So, is it possible to do it? Energy X 22:34, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

The only thing a bot could do in this case would be to null-edit the pages, since the interwiki links were added purely template-side. Even without this, though, the links will gradually clear out on their own over the next few days as pages are updated by the wiki software.
While on the topic of bot run requests, though, I have one, Falzar: could you update the Japanese name parameters on transclusions of CardTable2? The three current parameters (kanji, jpname, and jphira) have all been replaced with the singular parameter ja_name; separately providing a card's Ruby name, base name and furigana name is no longer necessary. Example updates can be seen here, here, here, and here; note that card articles may use any of the three parameters when a card's Japanese name doesn't have Ruby text. In addition, there are tracking categories for kanji, jpname, and jphira, if you'd prefer to work from them. Thanks! ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:21, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
As previously mentioned, I'll be busy with other stuff for a while.
So, the first can be done automatically during the updates, the second I can get to when I have time.
But what happened to Dinobot?
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:20, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
That's fine; I'm not in any hurry to get this done. =)
Mostly laziness. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:06, March 26, 2013 (UTC)

Cheesedude wants you to do a bot run, version I've lost count

Hey, Falzar. Long story short, all the cards that are part of Duel Terminal 7 that are not on this sandbox need to have "adv = Not Yet Legal" and "ocg = Unlimited" added to the card pages. Would you be able to do that? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:37, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Should be done. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:13, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

Bot again

Yo. Would you mind replacing "Dualism of Mirrors" with "Dual-ism of Mirrors", please? Thanks. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:52, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Done. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:52, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

Bot Run Legendary Collection

Can you use your bot to replace the Legendary Collection with the Mega-Pack since these two aren't together. Here it list of the change that need to be made Legendary Collection 2: The Duel Academy Years → Legendary Collection 2 Mega-Pack, Collezione Leggendaria 2: Gli anni dell’Accademia dei Duellanti Collezione → Leggendaria 2 Mega-Pack Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World → Legendary Collection 3 Mega-Pack, Collection Légendaire 3 : Le Monde de Yugi → Collection Légendaire 3 Méga-Pack, Collezione Leggendaria 3: Il Mondo di Yugi → Collezione Leggendaria 3 Mega-Pack and finally, Colección Legendaria 3: El Mundo de Yugi → Colección Legendaria 3 Mega-Paquetes. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 05:26, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

I think I'm supposed to exclude "LC02-EN0??" and "LC03-EN0??" cards from the list. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:52, April 20, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, also can you use your bot to change Legendary Collection 2 to Legendary Collection 2 Mega-Pack, this from the card errata. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 20:33, April 20, 2013 (UTC)

An edit needed.

A small edit to "Satellite Cannon"

Satellite Cannon can be destroyed by XYZ monsters, while it's effect applies to level only it doesn't specify being an older card, looking it up I had various chunks of information on it people claiming different things so a note on that would be helpful indeed. -Seth-Chan-Seth-Chan (talkcontribs) 09:56, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Xyz Monsters (Not XYZ Monsters) do not have Levels. A Rank is not a Level. An errata is not necessary.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:37, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Same reason "Level Limit - Area B", "Level Limit - Area A" and "Gravity Bind" don't affecting Xyz Monsters. if they are sticking to that word "Level", so do is "Satellite Cannon". --iFredCat 11:49, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Cardmaggedon

Do you have snapshots of the news during the weeks of April 16 - April 23 (the ones where the cards included in the Cardmaggedon of April 25 is shown)? I really want to protest to Grand BAM about the removal of cards that they didn't mention. I just want a proof that the removal of those cards weren't announced. I mentioned some of those in the forum (but only those that I haven't bought). Aside from those, I think these are the full list of cards they've removed without notice:

  • Common Soul
  • Dragunity Arma Mystletainn
  • Dragunity Corsesca
  • Dragunity Tribus
  • Combination Attack
  • Wattgiraffe
  • Wattwoodpecker
  • Watthopper
  • Wattlemur
  • Wattsquirrel

Thanks.Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 22:28, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, http://s628.photobucket.com/user/Falzar_FZ/library/BAM%20News/2013-04?sort=4&page=1
But, don't directly link to them. Save, crop, etc, then reupload to the forum.

I've already made a post in the Forum. Thanks for the photos. I credited you for those. Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 00:12, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

Bot run

Yo Falzar. Would you mind replacing "Heavenly Cycle" with "Heavenly Halo"? Thanks. (By the way, does the bot replace card names as well?) LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:56, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

It can do either.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 10:13, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

Since they have have now been renamed, "Azure-Eyed Silver Dragon", "Azure-Eyed Maiden", "Dragonsoul Castle", "Storm Dragon Guard" and "Dragon Mausoleum" would like bot runs to eliminate their old names, if you don't mind. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:31, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

I am curious why the image of "Dark Bribe" from Structure Deck: Warrior's Strike was posting before the one from Structure Deck: Gates of the Underworld? Gates version was releasing before Warrior's Strike...? Card Errata Talk:Dark Bribe for the discussion... --iFredCat 21:42, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Other "#Ask" Problem

Though I know that you're not here immediate when I am asking a question; but safe than not saying anything...

So when I am trying to look for a list of Level 1 EARTH Tuner Monsters - I did copy a line from your list (Monster type::Tuner Monsters) and tried the following line; Class 1 - Official, Level - 1, Monster type - Tuner Monsters and Attribute - EARTH but whatever I put in there, it don't give me a list... just a blank article. So are you telling me that "Monster type" formula is not workable right now? (Any friends of your can respond to this question as well) --iFredCat 00:46, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Use the list at User:Falzar FZ/Search.
This?
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:09, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
Interesting... your list said Tuner Monsters while this one does not. But thank you. --iFredCat 03:32, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
