- Any: This card can be extremely destructive when paired with "Tribe-Infecting Virus". When that is your only monster out, you can discard a card to destroy ALL of your opponent's monsters.
- Any: select the same Type with "The Hunter with 7 Weapons" to increase its ATK +1000 during the Damage Calculation.
- Any: Use this card with "Solar Flare Dragon" to change all monsters to Pyro and with cards that cannot be destroyed by battle on your side of the field, your opponent won`t be able to attack Solar Flare Dragon and will lose 500 Life Points per turn for each of them on the field.
- Any non-Fiend: Use this card to make your opponents' "Dark Ruler Ha Des" another type besides Fiend so that your monsters effects can still activate.
- Card effect specific: Also, a good combo is to use this card with "Last Day of Witch", "Warrior Elimination", or other cards that destroy all monsters of a certain type on the field, by using this card to turn all monsters on the field into the desired type.
- Card effect specific: Use "DNA Surgery" with "Injection Fairy Lily" to turn her into a Psychic-Type monster, equip with "Telekinetic Charging Cell", and go to town on your opponent with a 3000 ATK+ Beatstick.
- However, if you are willing to relinquish 2000 Life Points, you could turn "Injection Fairy Lily" into a Machine-type instead, then use her effect and, in the Damage Step, activate "Limiter Removal" for 6000 points.
- Dinosaur: Combined with "Ultimate Offering", you can keep summoning the "Gadget" monsters until you have enough to Xyz Summon multiple "Evolzar Laggia" or "Evolzar Dolkka". - Dragon: DNA Surgery can also be used with "Buster Blader", "Dark Paladin" or "Dragon Master Knight" to transform all monsters into Dragon-Type monsters for a longer-lasting effect than "D. Tribe". When used with "Dragon Capture Jar", you can change all monsters on the field to Defense Position. Also when played in a combo with "Scapegoat" if you turn all monsters into Dragon-Evolzar Laggiaou will only need 1 more Dragon-Type and a "Polymerization" to summon "Five-Headed Dragon". This can also work for Cyberdark Dragon.
- Or use this combined with Super Polymerization, which can bring an easy Five-Headed Dragon.
- Fairy: Another good combo is to use "DNA Surgery" with "The Sanctuary in the Sky", so you will not take any damage from your opponent.
- Fairy: With "Athena" on the field, your opponent takes 600 damage whenever either player summons a monster.
- Fiend: Use this card to make all monsters Fiend-Type while you have "Dark Ruler Ha Des" on the field. Now no monsters can activate their effects when destroyed.
- Fiend: Use this card in conjunction with "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" so that all creatures are fiends, thus allowing you to summon him easily.
- Insect: This trick requires "DNA Surgery" and "Insect Barrier". Activate both, and your opponent won't be able to attack, since they'll be Insect-Type monsters, and the "Insect Barrier" will block it (This also works with "Parasite Paracide)".
- Use "Insect Queen" and "Insect Princess" with this combo to get two really strong monsters. Or you could use "Prickle Fairy" to keep your opponent from attacking you thanks to her effect.
- Use this in a mill Deck with Shield Worm. This way, even cards like Morphing Jar can count for its effect.
- Use this with "Thought Ruler Archfiend" to give your monsters some protection.
- Machine: You can use this card with "Machine King", "Perfect Machine King" or "Machine King Prototype" to make all face-up monsters on the field Machine types, which can give these three a big boost.
- Machine: Use this card to change all monsters on the field to Machine-Type and then use "Super Polymerization" to summon "Chimeratech Overdragon".
- You can bypass the "Super Polymerization" by instead bringing forth "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon", which also gains 1000 ATK per monster rather than 800. The lack of a multiple-attack is negligible since you will have cleared your opponent's field (at which point "Chimeratech Overdragon" could only attack once anyway).
- Plant: Choose Plant to make "Copy Plant" more effective in a non-Plant deck.
- Sea Serpent: is a good selection in virtually any situation if you simply want to lockdown your opponent's type theme. Sea Serpent is one of the least supported types in the game.
- Warrior: Another powerful combo is using "DNA Surgery" with "Kinetic Soldier" so that "Kinetic Soldier" can always battle a Warrior-Type monster and gain 2000 ATK and DEF during the Damage Step. You can also use "Command Knight" and "The A. Forces" for extra ATK power.
- Warrior: Combined with "Ultimate Offering", you can keep summoning "Gadget" monsters to Xyz Summon multiple "Heroic Champion - Excalibur" or "Blade Armor Ninja" to OTK your opponent with their effects.
- Zombie: for each "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" on your field, every time a monster is Special Summoned your opponent will lose 2 cards from the top of their Deck, you can combine this with other Milling cards to win by Deck Out.
- Against Plant: change the type to anything else (more or less something that will help you) and stopping cards like: "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias", "Pollinosis" and "Lonefire Blossom".
- Zombie: same thing with "Dark Ruler Ha Des" up there but with "Revived King Ha Des".
- Zombie: prevent your monsters from being destroyed by card effects with "Archfiend Zombie-Skull".
- Against Zombie: this card can also counter the effects of "Revived King Ha Des" and "Archfiend Zombie-Skull".
- Use this versus Dino Rabbit Deck to stop your opponent from going Laggia or Dolkka
