Back from the Graveyard.Edit

I am surprise that you have returning to your founder site. Welcome back, Founder! *bow* --FredCat 23:44, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Indeed, DeltaNeos, DinoMan1000 and few other activate Admins have keep this site in well shape while you were gone. ATEM is quite a perfection sniper when coming to Ruling conflict and post in the unofficial rulings. I respect them all. --FredCat 23:55, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
I would also like to welcome you back. I can't wait to see what your new contributions will be. Glittersword TalkContributions 18:46, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Two ThingsEdit

Hmm...not really sure. I hadn't thought about it but I guess that's another thing I should do. Also, "appears to have" makes it sound as if it's not actually true-information on an encyclopedia should definitely be true unless otherwise stated.BobaFett2 (talk)

You may be right but it still seems wrong. BobaFett2 (talk)
I agree with BobaFett on this. It don't think it reads well when nearly every sentence n a character description starts with stuff like "it seems", "apparently" and "it appears". I haven't actually read the chapter/seen the episode, so I'm not positive about this particular example but for situations like this in general...
If Astral indeed acts scared around cats, I think it's fine to say that he is afraid of cats. We don't need to accommodate for the tiny chance of a plot twist that he was pretending or secretly afraid of something else, unless characters actually question his fear or it's otherwise hinted that he wasn't really afraid. Otherwise we may as well second guess everything about the series for things like a character could be dreaming, lying or secretly an impostor. If later episodes do indeed reveal that he wasn't actually afraid of cats, we can update the article and I don't think we're at fault for saying he was afraid previously, because it's what we were supposed to be believing while watching the show and weren't given any reason to doubt it.
I've seen many situations like this on another wiki; two characters turn out to the same person or characters said to be dead turn out to be alive. etc. The editors weren't at fault for saying the characters were separate people or saying the characters were dead, unless characters were shown to question either of these or there was in-show evidence that hinted they could be the same person or alive. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:32, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

fix tuner list pleaseEdit

Re;ObeliskEdit

I realize that. But if that's the case, it needs to be added using the vglore parameters for that game, not the anime lore parameter. They have nothing to do with one another. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:28, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

W Nebula MeteorEdit

You do realize that Solemn Warning and Royal Oppression miss the timing on trying to negate W Nebula Meteor, right? Tea-Girl08 15:14, June 23, 2011 (EST)

  • I'm not concerned with the accuracy of the ruling, I'm concerned with the content of the website it came from. If it is indeed true that the external website cannot be accessed except by those, that will be looked into. The ruling should be flagged for further investigation into it's source, rather than summarily removed.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:18, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see. So I should be flagging instead of re-editing, my mistake. Then can you please tell me how to flag a ruling?Tea-Girl08 15:26, June 23, 2011 (EST)

RedirectsEdit

Well, first of all, the redirects are already on the main page of the set. + I'll upload every french scans of that set tomorrow so I was planning to add everything after that (included every other languages sets and redirects). I'm not Superman haha. Wilimut TalkMail Paris, 21:10, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah yeah I got it, I really can't do it now but i'll do it tomorrow. It can be very long to add the set to every card in every language and then create the redirect for every language but yeah i'll do it . Wilimut TalkMail Paris, 21:17, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

Card Rulings:W Nebula MeteoriteEdit

Hi TwoTailedFox! I'm sorry but I don't think that new template is a good idea for the Ruling pages. First the way it looks now it seems exactly the same with the template of UDE's unofficial Rulings, and I think this will cause a lot of confusion to people. Second the "This Card Ruling has been flagged by a user on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia as unverified by Konami, incorrect, misleading, or otherwise false and/or lacking detail in it's explanation." sounds like anyone unfamiliar with the Rulings or not can add this template to any Ruling that he thinks it is incorrect, even if the Ruling is way to far from wrong.

What I want to say is that I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to add a Template on any Ruling they want, just because they think it is wrong or it should work otherwise, ect. It will cause a lot of mess!

Btw, from what I see, this template mostly can be used for the Judge Program Forum Rulings (as those are the only ones that cannot be viewed by anyone). What I suggest is to not add any Template to the Ruling Pages, leave the Rulings as they are, and if someone have doubts about a Ruling we can give him another visible source to check, or if there isn't any, we can give him a picture of the Judge Program Forum's threat of that Ruling (That's not problem for me to do)!

Also, about the "W Nebula Meteorite" Ruling, I can add it also in the OCG Rulings with an visible official source. So it don't think there will be anymore problems with it. If you only can remove the protection so I can add the OCG Ruling. Thanks!

ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 23:53, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

Very well, lets allow people to add a template like that to the Rulings of the Judge Program Forum if they have doubts about them as they cannot see the source. But is a picture of the thread with the Ruling (PrintScreen) enough proof to confirm the Ruling's authenticity and remove the template? If so then no problem from my part! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 17:23, June 24, 2011 (UTC)
Err, what do you mean that must be by a Konami's employee? The answer of the ruling or the uploaded picture?
Also you mean that even with a picture of the ruling the template will still be on it until it appears on an official site?
ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 17:52, June 24, 2011 (UTC)
The difference with UDE's Rulings and Konami's Rulings is that UDE's Rulings are now unofficial. Normally we shouldn't keep them in the Card Rulings but since without them the people wouldn't know how the most of the cards work we decided to keep them but in the Previously Official Rulings category. Thus the reason why we created their template.
Also, in case that you don't know, the Judge Program Forum is also an official site of rulings (there is proof of that). So if the picture is enough proof for the ruling's authenticity, then this makes it that the ruling has been confirmed that exists in an official site. Thus no need for the template. No?
Just to let you know, Konami made the Judge Program Forum as a site for judges that can get official answers to their questions. The rulings it has are as much official as the ones that appear in Konami's Gameplay FAQ in the pdf files. Also those questions can only be answered by Konami's employees and not by the judges.
ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 18:22, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, I see! So the template is on until the Rulings in the Judge Program Forum become viewable by anyone. Well, then shouldn't be better if we add this template then to all Judge Program Forum's Rulings instead of waiting for a Wikia's user to add it? Also what if instead of a template we had a note saying that those Rulings are unverified blah blah? The note could be either at the end of the Rulings or in the header. Something like this. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 08:00, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Well, it looks better now with the note. But that colored board looks somehow .....! Is it really necessary for the Rulings to be in a board, or it's the same with just only the template? Like this. I think it should be excellent that way! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 22:23, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
Nevermind then! I'll leave it as it is for now, at least until the Judge Program Forum become viewable for anyone or find another way to prove those Rulings' legality. Thanks! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 22:46, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
One more little thing! The bullet at the start of the (first) Rulings doesn't appear like Wikia's style bullet, as all the other Rulings have. I don't know what must be changed in the template. Can you fix it? Thanks! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 22:59, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
Great! Thanks for your help! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 00:09, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
One last thing! Can you remove the extra space that appears between the orange board and the OCG Rulings header? There should be only one space there. The other must be somewhere in the template! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 00:27, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
Excellent! Thanks again! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 18:03, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

You get a "Made of Win"Edit

Good catch on episodes 77 and 78! Always heartening to see a fellow editor. Apparently, that fellow decided it'd be fun to have Joey play the Seal of Orichalcos in episode 75. Sounds like the factual equivalent of Whack-a-Mole, but oh well, c'est la vie. --Okamoto Takeo (talkcontribs) 18:52, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

It's a vandal using a Dynamic IP address. I think I've blocked him about 25 times by now. He keeps coming back. He's very persistent. If he edits in that a card appears in episode 75 when it doesn't, he also edit the card appearances page for that card and add it to the character's decklist. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:01, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
You can range block when the IPs are all numbered closely. In this case 166.137.128.0/20 blocks all IPs from 166.137.128.0 to 166.137.143.255. Instructions are in the first link. You have to be careful when using it. If you're not sure if you're doing it right, just let me know. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:44, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
That's the problem. They are rarely numbered closely (though I'll look into rangeblocking if that comes up again). So it could be a bunch of people, but the pattern is consistent enough that I believe it's one person. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:56, June 25, 2011 (UTC)

Renaming?Edit

Why did you rename the sets from WC11? Here, it's never been named with -VG. Wilimut TalkMail Paris, 17:43, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Do I really have to rename everything? The template at the bottom of every page shows that it's from the video game. It would be easier to just add a sentence at the top of every page saying "this set is from the ... Video Game. What do you think? Wilimut TalkMail Paris, 20:31, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

ParametersEdit

Why are you removing the "image" and "jpanimelore" parameters? Someone will add images eventually, so there's no reason to remove the parameter and III usually has the lores up within a few days. Just because there is nothing in them right now doesn't mean their won't be. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:31, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough. Thanks. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:49, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Irritated ArticleEdit

"Cards" should be deleted already, it's still building by useless users (unregistered) that only copied out of "Card layout". --FredCat 19:34, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

"Soaring Eagle Above the Searing Land" should be lock up and you should give the user a long hard talk because he just continued to screw up that article I just showed. --FredCat 22:49, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, jeez...Edit

  • Every single GLD4 image I added needed to have "-LE" in front? I didn't even realize. I'll help changing the Card Gallery/Article pages later, but I can't rename the images themselves, and there's 45 odd left. ._.;--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 10:48, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

Monster RebornEdit

"Guardian Dreadscythe" was one of few monster cards that "Monster Reborn" had used on, though she required "Guardian Eatos" to dead on the field. Also "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon", again, summoned via Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi in the movie - as it needed "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to be sacrifice in order to Special Summon onto the field. --FredCat 17:10, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Well, my honour Founder, I would like to remind ya that "Guardian Dreadscythe's" Summon Condition is similar to "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning". If BLS - Envoy of the Beginning cannot be Special Summoned from Graveyard, therefore the former also cannot be Summoned from the Graveyard as well. It happening same with "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon", but I don't want to shove up the bullshit up your bums - I just want to give you a prove that was the one the unregistered user tried to put up on the "Monster Reborn" article. --FredCat 17:24, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
So, you're telling me that BLS - Envoy and Shining Dragon are Semi-Nomi or was I just confused? --FredCat 17:36, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
Alright, therefore only "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" cannot be Special Summon except by Tribute Ultimate Dragon. --FredCat 17:47, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
Got it, Founder, so now I understand them apart. And I should put that up in my Judge Ruling to prevent the further confusedly. --FredCat 17:51, July 3, 2011 (UTC)
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning; Condition - also "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" is including in that article. So feel free check it out and you have my permission to mend it and make it more clearly for anyone to understand. --FredCat 17:56, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

RE: BLSEdit

Well, sorry, I should forgot about that - I should including "Various Barrier Statues except for Heaven" instead. My bad. --FredCat 17:57, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I was unaware they changed for everyone

Anime and manga appearancesEdit

Both commas and slashes work for separation, but Dinoguy decided that commas should be used for better readability while editing. He did after the parameter had been using slashes for quite a while, so there are many pages to be updated. Using slashes automatically places the page in Category:Anime and manga appearances transclusions to be updated. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:44, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you can smack me a good one for that. I'm going to run Dinobot through the category eventually, and then remove support for the slashes and extra unnamed parameters (the original style, before I figured out #arraymap), which will result in much simpler code in the templates. ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:32, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

Image policy (-)Edit

Just in case you haven't noticed, the Image policy states that dashes (- – — - −) are to be removed from the monster name. (I think it's so that Template:OCG-TCG card image does not stuff up). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:58, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

Butthead UserEdit

This new butthead user just won't to quit argue with me and Skullvarnish (talk contribs) about Formula Synchron's Anime Effect declare; with us said that F.S. can using effect to summon any Synchro Monster during opponent's turn while he declined it, said only that he had a power to draw a card once per turn. Can you making him eat his own dirt please? Thanks for leaning me your ears. --FredCat 21:29, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

TFF isn't back yet, as far as I know. As for the issue at hand, it looks to me that the lore in the anime artwork is shorter than it is in the OCG. So that user may be right. I don't know for sure though. Note that in his edit summary, he clarified that its "Shooting Star Dragon" that lets itself be Synchro Summoned during the opponent's turn. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:00, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
Then why did "Formula Synchron" had that line when I came around at this minute? --FredCat 22:40, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
It's possible that quite simply, no one noticed the error before he did (again, not sure if it is an error or not). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:49, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Anoying Spamming userEdit

I dint know who else to talk to this about, so i thought i'd tell you. It's like they had no common sense to just absolute understand what I was saying and just leave it there. --FredCat 22:18, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Found a vandal.Edit

Right here. They've also registered as well, it seems. Already undid the vandalism, just thought I'd notify you so you can take action. I'dve delivered a warning myself, but I don't think it'd be particularly effective. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 14:11, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Another couple of vandalsEdit

Right here.

Also, this user has been making edits that go against the manual of style, and has been warned and told to use the dub names when editing anime articles. I also asked that they read the manual of style before making any more edits; both warnings have gone unheeded. As such, I ask that you deal with this as you see fit. As for the edits, they have already been undone. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 20:57, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think TTF is back yet. Also, Falzar offered to do a bot run to the fix the names, so it's really not that big of any issue. You don't need to inform every single admin about it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:58, November 23, 2011 (UTC)
It was a bout of irritation, I apologize. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 02:00, November 23, 2011 (UTC)
Cheesedude just detailed exactly the reason I haven't responded. I'm not particularly enthusiastic on blocking IP addresses, because that can cause issues for legitimate users. It also appeared as if the issues highlighted were solved, thus requiring no intervention nor comment from me.

While I may seem away, I check my talk page whenever it's edited to check I don't miss anything important. This wasn't important.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 18:18, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Understood. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 18:20, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Number 39: Utopia ReplayEdit

I'm not sure how to phrase this, but we technically do have a ruling on the replay scenario with Utopia, "After you’ve announced your attacking monster and the attack target monster during a Battle Step, the attack target might be removed from the field, or a new monster may be placed on the opponent’s side of the field before the Damage Step, due to a card’s effect. This causes a "Replay"...

And since Utopias effect makes him kill himself before the damage step, a replay does occur.

So I just thought I'd let someone know this and see if they can fix it (the ruling is in a green box) since the last time I fixed a ruling (they had the wrong monster typed in and all I did was type in the correct monster) a few people here complained at me for fixing it. So better safe then sorry I'd thought I'd let you know and see if you can do anything. Please and thank you and sorry if this isn't phrased accurately.

UnbanEdit

Will you unban me now?

Sorry....forgot to specify myself. Will you unban me now? Cd5464

I have never heard of such a ridiculous response in my life. Banning someone wont grant a change in behavior. Unbanning may provide different results with someone like me...consider it. I will be appreciated enough to try ceasing racial comments within the chat. Try it out. What do you have to lose? You can immediately ban me again if it happens.... Cd5464

Anyone with an ounce of comprehension wouldn't categorize that as a threat or blackmail. It was a simple suggestion and a reasonable psychological fact regarding my reaction to being unbanned. You either don't take enough time to think things over, suck at thinking things over, or you are a true dipshit. I will side with the first considering you took about 3 minutes to think it over... Cd5464

You are clearly a dipshit. I forgive your mistake of proving this to the public. There wasn't a threat present. I will go ahead and take this time to congratulate you on how well your wiki has turned out. Its impressive. I may have to find a different wiki though, for the creator of this one has proven to me that he/she is a true dipshit. Forgive me if I labeled you as a he in the previous statements if you are a she and also if I labeled you as a she if you are a he. So how long will this ban remain? Cd5464

Does 2 weeks sound indefinite? I think in about two weeks time I will be well enough to be unbanned. Wouldn't you agree? Cd5464

He made a new user called User:Cyber Rulezzz (just check the IP) and he even made it obvious, with this:

and BTW I'm surprised that Delta hasn't banned him yet.--Let the Number take hold! 20:10, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Comic-ConEdit

Greetings! You may already know, but Yu-Gi-Oh! will be involved with Comic-Con this year. Wikia will have a physical presence at the 'Con once again, and we've created this badge: Template:W:CC2012-live

to remind users of this, and provide them with a link to Comic-Con Wiki. There, we will be updating live for the duration of the event with images, info, and exclusives for those users who are unable to be there in person. Would you be willing to allow this badge on the main page here (hopefully at the top of the right column) until the conclusion of the event? Please hit me up on my TALK PAGE and let me know either way so I can add it, or make a note that you've declined affiliation. You're welcome to add it yourself using the code above, but please drop me a note as well so I can track which wikis are participating. Thank you for your time! :)

Cd5464 unbanEdit

Hey TTD. I was wondering if you could go ahead and unban me now. I mean, I haven't caused any trouble in like 3 months...at least on the wiki. I only tried to avoid the ban once (which was about 3 months ago...). I may be exaggerating a bit. I'm not sure really. I think it has been about 2 months maybe 3....maybe even 4. At least a month for sure. Sorry for the rambling. It gets me sometimes... I'm sorry for my racial slurs. I apologize for the rude remarks I uttered towards you and Delta too. Oh and I'd greatly appreciate it if I could test out my new deck on you lol. Its actually...fairly well. - Cd5464

CharlieEdit

Hey, I am just wondering what Charlie did to get a permanent ban. I am sure that whatever he did was not that terrible, but if it was, it should not deserve a permanent ban. Please do not see this as me harassing you or questioning your judgment, but at least weaken the ban for me. I know he cannot control himself sometimes, but it would be nice to see him again.

Thank you in advance for considering this

--Power Up! (talkcontribs) 09:40, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

That is a vague term. We could consider the time that has already passed as "indefinite". Would you? Whats your username on DN... - Cd5464
Whoa whoa....whats with the harsh words? I'm not a batman villain. That is a ridiculous concept. I've never even been in Gotham City. I don't recall ever getting a second chance, sir. I really don't. I'm hardly manipulative. Why are you being like this? You are sorta seeming unreasonable here... please tell me what have I done in the past 2 months that has caused you harm and/or anger? I have been patiently waiting, pondering on my mistakes, and seldom asked to be unbanned during this 18 week banishment. I seriously wish to duel you too with my deck...I'm not being two-faced. I'm just...being. I respect you. I hardly know you to not respect you, but what I've seen, you are beginning to have me question my respect. I wasn't in a good period in my life last time we uh communicated. My environment has been a hostile one for a very long period. It has a very...tight grip on my personality. Recently I broke one of its fingers metaphorically. The grip has loosened a bit. I only wish to stop my frequent visits to the runescape wiki chat and communicate with my fellow yugioh players on this chat. I don't see why you cannot simply unban me when the banishment is always in your hands beyond now. Probably its on a more personal matter? I chipped at your self-esteem? I have apologized. I know....I kinda want to slice the throats of a few people that have chipped at the ol block too. But I realized grudges devour our sanity and they can eventually make us lose much respect. If it isn't for that reason then why not? I'm not going to abuse the freedom since I know it can be taken swiftly away in mere seconds and I wouldn't want to offend anyone since I haven't been on in quite sometime. It'd be like Shawn Michaels coming back and beating the audience members up. He would be considered trash for the rest of his days... Another reason I won't is because I realize it is quite immature. Please TTF. I'd greatly appreciate your understanding. Cd5464

Hey, TwoTailedFox, I see you're online and you're an experienced yugioh duelist (as well as the creator of this wiki). So I have a question for you. If I flip summon Fortune Lady Dark who has ? attack points but has a special ability that gives it attack points, does it get destroyed by Trap Hole? --Qim1 (talk • contribs) 00:06, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Do trigger effects have priority?Edit

so do cards like kageki and agent of mystery earth lose it's ability to activate its effects when they are book of mooned or compulsoraried on their summon. since these are trigger effects.

Could I get your help with something?Edit

I'm trying to move the old page from "Card Tips:Madolche Mille-feuille" to "Card Tips:Madolche Mew-feuille", since the pun is now more obvious, but for some reason it won't let me move it, even though I moved Trivia, Rulings, etc. with no problem. Could I get this manually moved over? Thanks for the help. The Pope 23:38, July 15, 2012 (UTC)

YamiWheeler and Pato MEdit

I have to say that I found the "Kindergarten" comment uncalled for. Not everyone that edits this wiki has English as their first language. Its not hard to mix up words like that. Which is one reason anyone can edit - proofreading. I know you didn't mean the comment with malice, but it still struck me as uncalled for.
I also think that its would be quite easy to assume that Featured Card articles are not mainspace articles, hence the "ownership" thing (not that that makes it right). Its not as if we have clear documentation about it, after all.
I suppose the overall point of my spiel here is that malicious intent shouldn't be assumed even when editors are unhelpful. I honestly think the block threat on my both users (based solely on this argument) was a bit extreme. Perhaps I'm being too nice, I don't know. I also don't mean to offend you with these comments, but I felt like I needed to get that off my chest. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:18, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
I realize its a public article. Rather than simply tell them to use better grammar, why not just quickly fix the two problems you pointed out yourself and put "grammar" in your edit summary? You can't say you don't have time to do so if you had time enough to compose that message to them.
As for the block, fair enough. I didn't realize the issue went several days back. Sorry. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:34, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, so you did that too. Alright then. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:41, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Both of you need to chillEdit

Ok. I agree with the desision you made. On the subject "My threat" I hope he takes it seriously, cause you can see how many times i got insulted, and i do not come to this wikia to recieve that kind of treatment.

On a related note, does that mean that my edit is final, on the featured card page? --Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 22:19, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Ok, If that's the case, you will be notified. I don't wanna make this a bigger deal than it is, but, I am tired of arguing with that person, and I'm more tired of having to face every single insult he has towards me. I officially have had it. The moment i wrote the previous comment, I had not read his comment in the forum of that featured card. I really don't want to read a wall of text that starts by calling me a d*ck. I don't think it's fair for people to call me so many insults in such a short time, for so few reasons. I know some may think it's harsh, but I really want him to have the concecuences someone has when he insults some other user, over jealousy matters. --Yes, im Pato (talkcontribs) 22:31, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Both of you need to chillEdit

With all due respect, I've been writing the Featured Card articles for the better part of a year for this site. As Cheesedude mentioned above, there are no clear guidelines for the Featured Card articles. I have always written the articles in a certain style, my style, because there's nothing to go on at all. Nowhere does it say that what I've written in my own time and contributed to the site as a gesture of improving it is not my property. Even if it isn't, is expecting someone to consult me before they change something that much of a bad thing? I don't think so. If you could, please write up a list of guidelines for us to follow when writing the Featured Card articles so we are aware of which rules we have to follow.

Next is my issue of what is relevant to list and what is not. That is entirely down to personal preference. You can't say that I'm wrong when I don't list the Damage Step, because I expect people to understand that. I wouldn't expect anyone writing a Featured Card article to explain the basic rules of the game to me, so why is that necessary? I do play the game, and what I've written is based on my experiences. If you disagree, once again, exact guidelines would be helpful, because right now, the line between opinion and facts is being blurred.

Finally, it seems to me that you're taking sides, by saying things like Pato is "falling to my level." I'd like to remind you that I did not make threats to "punch people in the face" like he did, and not only did he make those threats, but he reaffirmed them in the talk page right above this, and nothing is going to be done about it? Me arguing about the article is put on the same level as someone threatening me with physical violence? Is that your stance?--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 22:38, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

None of that justifies threats of physical violence. I didn't 'bring it upon myself' by defending the article as being fine as it was - are you telling me that it's justifiable to make threats just because you get riled up with somebody, or because they may be wrong on a certain issue but are arguing? He was equally as rude as I was and any beginning hostility was from previous encounters with him. He may have 'recanted' rudely after you basically forced him to, but he was clearly not sorry for what he did because he restated it on your talk page. "I hope he takes the threat seriously." I know that you don't personally like me, which was evident from when you called me annoying on IRC, which I still remember, but honestly couldn't care less about. However, letting personal feelings get in the way of dealing with serious issues like threats seems like something a moderator should not do. Obviously, nothing more is going to be done, but I feel the need to make my point that threats should never be acceptable and you are never 'asking for them.'--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 23:06, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Location of talk page repliesEdit

Hey TTF, I just wanted to comment on your statement that "...it is good manners to reply on the other person's talk page. Not doing so does indeed leave you open to accusations of being a coward." It has been my policy for a very long time to keep discussions together by replying to messages left to me on my talk page, and when I leave messages on someone else's talk page, to copy their replies back with my original message before replying (and by this point, a number of other editors do the same). I'd therefore be rather put off if someone accused me of cowardice for simply following this practice; I instead encourage people to tell me if they want me replying in some other manner, and also make use of {{Talkback}} where I feel it necessary. I'm not trying to suggest anything about you by saying this, but merely pointing it out. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 22:57, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Exactly. Just wanted to make the point that I was following this example, which Deltaneos also follows. There is no "cowardice" involved.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 23:00, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
I insinuated that some users brand it was cowardly for the reasons outlined by Pato M, in that it doesn't give fair response notification to the other party. I'm not suggesting that it 'is' cowardly, only that some users see it that way. How you reply to articles is none of my concern personally, I only pointed out how some users perceive a certain behaviour.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page)
All right, that's fine. I just thought I'd point it out. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:01, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

BlogsEdit

Nice to meet you, maker of the wiki! I'd like you to answer these 2 questions if you like:

  • why are the blogs feature disabled (and can I propose it on forum to re-instate them)?
  • can I make polls on Main Page (see my user page as an example)? Energy X 23:24, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
I would be able to answer first one: This Wikia is extreme busy with updating so Blog are out of the way. As for Polls, I don't know how can that be possible, but I will let you (TwoTailedFox) solving that issue. --iFredCat 23:27, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'll discuss about the polls about other users, see their opinion. Oh, and even if I made TP message to Deltaneos' talk page, he did not seem to take action. The Navigation Menu has the Community button - it lists:
      • top_users
      • Community portal
      • Current events
      • Recent changes

The issue is that when clicking top_users, nothing happenes. Can you change it? Energy X 23:35, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Well, "top user" is actually this user, TwoTailedFox - as he had highest edit counts. Try go to your User Page and click "Top User", you will be surprise. --iFredCat 23:38, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

SoEdit

2 people start ranting about me, both of them hating me (Kitten plain hates me: Last year I chose to stop trying to make him like me, as I did not want that kind of person liking me), and, when i tell them, that they have my permission of talking about me, wich they should have, I get the ban? I don't think I am confused, that just happened. I am more than confortable with not talking about people that i have nothing good to say. I am ok with people talking about me, yet I'd me more confortable, if I'd be told that this would happen. I had an issue with people talking about me, in 2 different wikias actually. I have to take that people are talking about me; I can't stop them. I'm not even mentioning the fact that I call that ranting, yet, it was witch hunt, firing at Pato, Duck season, or, well, you get the idea. Now, besides the fact that I do think that it'd be more correct to either ban us both, or just remove my ban, I believe that he, as well, should be taken care, after talking towards my person, how he did, after he was asked, not to. --190.226.80.173 (talk) 00:42, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

I think Joey had nothing "hostile" toward Pato as of right now - he just commented that he would not doing it again and seemed to welcoming him into talk with him if needed. Again, I have nothing against Pato for confirming his reasons toward Joey, as long as he don't show any hatred or hostile. I know truth does hurt sometimes, but it's better than lie at them and laughing at them as they went down in the fire. That was I who started that discussion, Pato is welcome to add his respond. I don't forbidden him or anything. --iFredCat 00:48, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Yami stated a personal opinion, whereas Pato M opened a personal attack. Pato M has also circumvented his ban, which has now extended his original ban length. He was warned, and he chose to ignore that warning.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 00:51, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Ah well, it's up to your judge - I can't stop you at all. Maybe it's time for him to learn some formal manners. Glad to have you back in the action for this period ^_^ --iFredCat 00:55, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Honestly I don't know what you are talking about at the moment(TTF). The moment i got banned, there was a little note that said I could ask about the ban, or something alike. So, i did. I don't see why you are extending my ban, as I only am questioning you, in order to get this thing ended once and for all. I'm not ignoring someone, and, if there are 3 people i think are highly suitable for running this place, they are delta, cheese, and you.
Again, I did not open a personal attack. I did as well, state my opinion. Anyone can see that both are opinions, and, in all cases, His was harder toward my person. I'm not going to discuss wich was more offensive, because that's subjective. I'm, again, stating facts. He had an opinion, I explained something real. None was worse than the other. --190.226.76.15 (talk) 01:41, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Your comment was designed as bait. The ban stands.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 01:44, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Omg, I honestly can't believe this. Ok, you all have it. I have had it. I have never been accused by anyone of telling things for so horrible purposes. It's honestly unbeliable. I don't say things with double meaning, ever. Honestly, ask anyone who knows me. I am tired. Everyone says I meant something, I HONESTLY DIDN'T. My god, I'm as literal as a dictionary. Why say things with double meaning if people won't get the other meaning, and, if they will, they'll get mad? Honestly guys, you are ruining this site for me. I truly don't know what you want from me. Want me to stop editing? ok. Want me to leave the front page as wrong as it was? I can't do that. It was wrong. Deal with it. I come from locals, with good intencions and every one seems to be a shrink. Are you guys psychiatrist, mind readers, or anything alike? I honestly doubt it. Have i ever lied to any of you? No, I haven't. All you guys are accusing me, constantly, is based on assumptions. Why don't you remain a whole duel without attacking, cause you assume that the face down is a mirror force? That's right, cause one has to play arround it, and, more important, Confirm it exists. My double meaning of every single sentence Does-Not-Exist. Get it straight in your brains, please.
You guys honestly made me feel a little more hopeless towards people on this wikia. I don't think you should be happy/content/ok with what you have done. You are ruining one of the best pages of the game I have been playing for over 3 years now. --190.138.221.209 (talk) 01:58, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Please begging my apologize, it's just his defense that he find your comment being hostile, though you don't see that way. Your comment didn't bothering me but it do to him. So just take break from this site and figure out the truth of why TailedFox put you on bay. We all need a break sometimes. --iFredCat 02:05, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Just pointing out, it seems that there was some legitimate confusion causing Pato M to edit from an IP after being banned. MediaWiki:Blockedtext is the text shown to blocked users. The current version says "[...] You can contact $1 [blocker] or another administrator to discuss the block. [...]". We should probably edit that message to say that you can ask about the block on your own talk page and maybe that you can email the administrator. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:42, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
In this case, that wouldn't help, since TTF suppressed his ability to edit his own talk page. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:18, September 12, 2012 (UTC)

One-Shot SignatureEdit

Let's stop the "Edit-Warring" stuff and have a talk with Roy here - pretty much like I told Wheeler and Goldy in their own Talk Page... Do you think that would help? --iFredCat 11:59, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

About the Signature card page, its already been told that one-shot cards and one-shot characters are not supposed to be added to the page as it needs more proof to be a signature and 1 duel is not enough for it to be proof of being signature card. If we add 1 time use cards there, it might be said that Jaden's ace can possibly also be Ojama Yellow as he used it once and so on. ----SharkTenjo 12:31, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Like SharkTenjo said, this was the reason why Deltaneos declared to not including one-shot character(s)/card(s) in the Signature card article. If you still disagreed, we should let him know and come in here to explain you his reasons. --iFredCat 12:37, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Yes its a 3 year old comment into which is used upto this day in the ZeXal section. It was discussed in User_talk:DalekSupreme13#Signature_card and in the talk page of the signature card page. ----SharkTenjo 12:57, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
We got a proof of reason why One-Shot stuffs are unimportant right now. So should I call Deltaneos? (And, Shark... that's 4 years old comment actually, if counted the Year numbers) --iFredCat 13:04, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Well sorry. It was TwoTailedFox who said its a 3 year old comment so yea. Well maybe you should ----SharkTenjo 13:07, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
No problem, he followed the exact timing (Dec 2008) to present (Sept 2012), and it's not full 4 years yet. It's just closely to 4 years. --iFredCat 13:08, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
No, those cards don't need to be mentioned. Most them are one-shot cards. A one-shot card cannot be a signature, according to the definition for signature card that that article itself uses. One-shot characters like Sartyr also shouldn't be added. How old the comment seems pretty irrelevant to me. It's still current consensus and DalekSupreme seems to be the only user (outside of random IPs that edit once) that wishes to keep adding other cards like that. He's been warned about it before. I wish I could remember that one. What's the issue with the Kanji on it.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 21:39, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
It's just that it doesn't seem to be representative of the members, going by the number of them that use it in their names. Requesting for Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXALEdit

Hi! I'm Reginald and fan of your works. I'm founder of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Wiki. Most Users think I created that wiki for no reason since there is wiki with all four series, but i think not. Yugioh Zexal is defferent from all three other series and smash up of all three. Yu can also point out that series having a second part and Spin-off manga.

In my opinion, I think there are alots of reasons why Yugioh zexal should have its own wiki and not to have its own wiki. I think we should hold voting poll in Main page asking for yugioh zexal havve its own wiki and not to have it on wiki. Reginald Kastle (talkcontribs) 23:57, October 8, 2012 (UTC)

I respect your choice if you decided to allow this site to be part of "Curse" Network. But, I just not much of pleasure to be in any part of that site at all. If I were you or any Founder of the Wikia, I would just immediately rejected it and kept it run in the same way. So if you decided to go with your plan as original, I would just stuck in my closet and often updating my own articles for the remains of my time in here. The reason why I respond to you here rather than over on that Forum is because I don't want to shift the topic off the line - hence that I learned a couple lessons with the previous forums errors of mine - and be able to inform you of my thought about "Curse" Network part. In reality, I am against the idea of having this wikia connect with Curse Network. Also, I can't forcing you to change your mind so congratulation for joining the hand with Curse Site. --iFredCat 02:46, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

CurseEdit

Just wondering, would it be possible for you to notify through your talk pages if/when the curse fork happens? Tarix3245 (talkcontribs) 00:22, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

clear upEdit

(To avoid any possible misunderstanding) that anon made a comment, then removed it and replaced the fork section with his signature, so I just restored it back to the last version (which had the Fork section intact). Anyhow, It's an honor to meet you TwoTailedFox (I've seen you many times on here, but I never spoke to you before). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 02:22, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

Zexal wikiaEdit

I agree with you (I'm not on there much anymore because I don't like what they're doing. They've been copy/pasting our stuff and I don't want any part of it). I've told the founder there to not literally copy/paste our stuff and things to make that wikia different, but he doesn't listen (the beyblade wikia people also got mad at him for copying their stuff). I'm an admin there, but I'm probably going to go on there and just change my membership into a normal user (I like this wikia and my loyalty is here. But in regards to that other wikia, I will not work for people who actually demand us to remove our zexal info so they can paste it on their site, or just copy off other wikia's). I hope I'm not stepping out of line or anything. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 17:20, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

Well seeing their response, they clearly are not heading what we're (Avatarr partly awknowledges, but then tries to get around it with an excuse, etc) saying. I removed my admin status. Shall I report them to contact wikia, or do you want to? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 22:57, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
Wow, I'm really shocked at his childish behaviour. He blocks me for a year just because I was adding the Template thing (on pages that were clearly copied off us). He definitly needs to be stripped of his admin rights (that's not how you use your tools). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 00:54, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
Look like it's time for him to going down and living on the street. --iFredCat 01:16, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
They still don't seem to undertand their situation fully. Avatarr reverted a lot of what you did on cardtable 4 (he left the template at least). He also took the Template off Anna's page (with no explanation). I'll keep monitering them and report anything else. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 16:08, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
That or they are just too blind to wrapping the situation on their hand. Or at least, what Cheesy/Falzar said, too immature to accept that. --iFredCat 16:12, November 28, 2012 (UTC)

Many Negative VotesEdit

I am not here to put up a fight with you. I just come here to tell you some more of what's on my mind. Have you see the list of "folk" series on "Curse Network" article. There are more favors on refuse to allowing this wikia to joining with that site than there are on the acceptable list. So I wanna know if all those votes had changing your mind after all? If it didn't affect your mind, I would not trying to fish you out there and read them all. Lemme know what's on your mind, alright? Highly regard; iFredCat 22:20, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

Tip Page FormatEdit

Thing is, I heard that Dinoguy1000 is working on a new thing for card pages... I know that he will be moving some stuff like "searchability" to the front of card pages, but I want to know more exactly what he's doing. Plus, it took a whole LOT of effort to reorganize stuff, which doesn't make me anxious to start applying it to other card pages until I know more about what he's going to cover.
The new Card Tips format was the result of procrastination because I have finals and should really be studying (funny things that boredom produces). I don't have the time to further inquire what he's actually doing, so maybe you could ask him? I also post this as a reminder to myself to keep studying until finals are over, heheh. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:16, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

It's not just my format; Deltaneos is the one that actually proposed it. I've just been working on the actual implementation and making tweaks to the overall design. ;)
The discussion thread for it is at Forum:Card article redesign, and examples can be seen at Forum:Card article redesign/sandbox (which uses the templates currently being worked on, so reflects the latest format/layout changes) and User:Deltaneos/Sandbox/2 (which is all hardcoded, so lags behind a bit on design/layout). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:36, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

Hello, BritishCynic. You have new messages at Cheesedude's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Not sure if you're aware I usually respond on my own talk page, so thought I'd throw this up to be safe. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:33, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

Extra Deck/Fusion DeckEdit

Ah yes. Well, I had a discussion via live chat with Cheesedude, and we discussed what the policy regarding PSCT lore should be. The idea was first expressed in this thread. After our live chat, he produced this, which I agree with.

It is also kind of a silent consensus that any anime/manga cards created before the introduction of the name change for "Fusion Deck" --> "Extra Deck" should keep any name references to "Fusion Deck" that occur in their card lores. This includes the anime/manga lores of TCG/OCG cards that were used in the anime/manga. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:05, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

"X language cards present"Edit

Hey TTF, when you decide you're ready to run with this idea, I can add the necessary properties to {{OCG-TCG card image}}. I've actually been planning for a long time to eventually use that template to add categories and properties to card images. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:33, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

I'm all for that to be put into motion, but I had some ideas I wanted to test, to see if they can be incorporated to help automate some pages (like Card Set Ratios). I'll strike up a dummy template, and test on that.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 17:54, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
Delt and I (mostly Delt ;) ) have done a bit of exploration to that end, too, though focusing more on automating the Set Card Lists pages (and maybe, to a lesser extent, the Set Card Galleries pages)... Unfortunately, I can't track down where we were discussing it while working; maybe the discussion happened off-wiki... ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:22, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
I've got a proof-of-concept at Template:LanguageTest (it's ugly and barren, but functional), but a lot of the additional information will only show after the database updates. I have to make some small additions to the CardTable (such as creating string properties, as the queries don't like page links). The testbed is at 2002 Booster Pack Tins, and so far, Dark Magician is the only one with the correct information filed in order for the queries over at Template:RatioAuto to work.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:22, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
Ooh, I like the idea of mixing properties set on a card's article with those set on its card images! That might actually neatly solve some of the problems Delt and I were facing with the system we were looking at, assuming it's designed correctly.
There shouldn't be any problem at all with eventually rolling the functionality of {{LanguageTest}} into {{OCG-TCG card image}}, based on what you've got there currently. I'm not sure we really need to pull stuff like a monster's Type from its card article and set it again on the image, but I'll have to think about it more. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:30, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
We need properties on the card images to be able to search and/or numerically list the number of cards; we can't use the properties on the main card article itself, but it may be possible to use the same properties if we semantically acquire the data from the new text-only listings (as the page link ones didn't work); New properties were just a smaller headache, and an easier solution, partially because we don't need to worry about semantic cross-contamination, but if you want to reduce property counts, it should be possible to condense it. Also, one more thing, is Gold Rare now using -GR rather than GUR?--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:45, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
Right, thinking about it more, my idea would require the query to mix properties from different pages. This might be doable in a template, but I don't think it'd be pretty, and it certainly wouldn't be easy or without its own problems. =/
Frankly, I don't know *what's* going on with the Gold Rare rarities any more. We need to have a forum discussion to address this and other rarity-related issues (including, should we switch to the official database rarity names/abbreviations where appropriate, and should we merge rarities like Normal Rare/Short Print and Ghost Rare/Holographic Rare, where they're just the OCG and TCG versions of the same thing); I just haven't taken the time to collect all the issues we need to address and write it all out. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:55, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
Semantically transcribing the data would seem to be easier, then. Still need to work out a few little kinks (like flip effect monsters, which we've never semantically documented). Once the data is incorporated into existing template, I'll start a Blitz campaign to get our images updated, and where necessary, converted to use the correct file naming conventions.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 20:01, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
On that note, a little while back I proposed another change to the image policy, with the aim of it being the last major update that happens; it seems there's a consensus for the changes proposed there (basically, to separate the card name from the other card data in the image name via a space, and to preserve the original card name in the image name as fully as possible; this would allow me to remove the requirement of specifying all this stuff in the {{OCG-TCG card image transclusion}}, while also greatly simplifying adding support for cards whose article names have "(card)" or similar qualifiers), but Delt and I came across another change that needs to be discussed related to anime card images (specifically, the card layout used by anime images depends on the layout used by their most recent Japanese printing at the time they're featured in the anime, and not based on the series they appear in, as was previously thought). I have yet to implement any of the proposed changes, either; I think I'm going to use this opportunity to properly plan and rewrite {{OCG-TCG card image}} from the ground up, which should also easily let me throw in support for anime/manga/VG card images, like I've been promising Cheesedude I'd do since forever. =D ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:30, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
You won't need a blitz campaign. Falzar said in that forum discussion he figured out to make bots move images. Assuming that info is easy enough to share with the other two BotOps, I don't think it will be too much of an issue getting every image updated (if it still will be, let me know, I'll move what I can). As for the rewriting the image template, yay (again). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:38, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL WikiaEdit

I caught the story and I, for now, agreed with you and UltimateKuriboh (who also responded on Avian where you can't) about the copyright. To be honestly, he's little arrogant and a little bit of the "jackass" from what I can see. Regardless what he did, he still should have redirecting anything he threw in his own wikia to each article in here that existed there. Highly respect, iFredCat 01:04, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

Effect parameterEdit

I purposely leave (and insert in some case) blank "effect" parameters for cards that don't have them. Almost every card should have something that could be listed there. I don't fill them in simply because I don't know enough about game mechanics to determine what effect would go where. I suppose it doesn't matter if they're removed, but you'll be finding a lot of them. I did put them there for a reason though - it can encourage other editors to fill them in. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:28, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

That's fair. There are plenty of parameters floating around that may be there that shouldn't be, that just isn't one of them. Thanks. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:36, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

#Ask LimitationEdit

Not sure if you recalled our conversation about of how you made the "#ask" template to it limit of 5 or 10 cards enlisting instead of up to 30-40ish cards listed. Falzar didn't went that further; he only managed to laying his hands on each type and attribute, as well as Level and ATK/DEF various, but not template limitation... Care to bring that one up once more? --iFredCat 00:19, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I am re-arranging the Tip Article of "Junk Destroyer" (it's so messy that I had to write it off site, on the Notepad) and this thought came up to me as you had a couple of articles that managed at least 1-5 cards listed there. Like all Dragon-Type and you managed to make it listed "Five-Headed Dragon" there instead of all Dragon-Type posted. --iFredCat 00:35, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Well, here's the reason why I came here to question you... At least I learned a couple of lessons of trying to screw up the articles in the past. Fifty seemed little too much to fixing in the huge tip article like one I posted... Five to ten or twenty would suit it well than fifty does, to be honestly. Also, apologize if my grammar is still not perfectly - it's best as I can. --iFredCat 02:45, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

HelloEdit

Hello. Myself and a few other users have been wondering whether SolitaryRageDemonCharlie should have his ban lifted. We respect your decision banning him, we're not disputing that at all. I feel the time has come for his ban to be lifted as he hasn't tried to evade ban, he hasn't continued disputing it, nor has there been disruptive on the wiki in general.

If you're unhappy with him being unbanned, then there isn't a problem at all; I'm sure your reason is justifiable. Thanks, --Spongebob456 (Talk) 20:02, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Submarine Tender Aero Shark/Submersible Carrier Aero SharkEdit

My suggestion is that we must make two separate pages for those cards as they aren't the same like (Poseidon Wave and Zeus Breath) but admins reject this saying that they are just a given name.. so if they reject making a new page for the manga version then we must make one name for this card in all decks be it anime or manga and also we must combine zeus breath and poseidon wave in one page as they suggest. What should we do since you are the founder? Dark Soul Taker (talkcontribs) 20:18, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

JavaScript assistanceEdit

Hey TwoTailedFox,

As discussed in the meeting earlier today, here's a notification for the JavaScript assistance you requested. I'll gladly have a look at the JavaScript and image toggler for you to see what's wrong! Cheers, Mark<staff /> (talk) 18:30, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Both the collapsible tables and grid issues have been fixed. The collapsible tables was broken because of a double call to the "createCollapseButtons" function in a part of the code specifically used for SMW wikis. I've removed the code, as it served no purpose on the wiki. As for the grids, those should be working as well. I used the TNT page as an example, and it displays a fancy crafting output there. Hope this helps! Mark<staff /> (talk) 22:23, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I didn't realise the grids were supposed to be animated. The grids should be working properly now. As it turned out, there were three global variables that weren't defined in the Common.js file. Mark<staff /> (talk) 15:06, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Glad I could be of help :)! Mark<staff /> (talk) 15:21, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Do you have any examples of the aligning not working on any pages on the wiki itself, rather than a template page? The link you provided seems to be broken. Mark<staff /> (talk) 15:46, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
The numbers should be working now. The wiki was missing some CSS lines that defined the positioning. The code still isn't working on the template page, but as long as it works on other pages, we should be good. The Crafting Square Slide is also parsing the info correctly now, as far as I can see. The image shuffling should be working too now - I made some code changes to the naming conventions. Mark<staff /> (talk) 17:03, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
No problem! Mark<staff /> (talk) 17:15, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
The pausing seems to work properly for me. The time between the animations seems to be approx. 3 seconds on both Minecraft Universe Wiki and the Minecraft Wiki. Do you notice a significant difference? Mark<staff /> (talk) 18:03, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Strange... The pausing does work for me. What browser do you use? Mark<staff /> (talk) 18:08, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
(reset) Comparing the distance of the number on the Minecraft Universe Wiki and the Minecraft Wiki, I can not see a noticable difference. Could you perhaps send me a screenshot of the issue? It might be browser/OS related. Mark<staff /> (talk) 23:19, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
The problem should now be solved. As it turns out, the wiki was using an outdated version of the grid template. The updated version does not use the number template, but instead uses the Minecraft font itself. I've added the font to the wiki, and after the cache clears (it might take a while), the numbers should now be displaying properly. Mark<staff /> (talk) 15:54, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Let's try to be mature about it. We shouldn't make fun of users who get banned or whom we disagree with. (Or tell them to stick their head in a toilet.) It's turned into a big enough fight as it is. We don't need to make things worse. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:46, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
I wouldn't have started such a big fight if I wasn't unlawfully banned. The only way Cheesedude could ban me is if I moved the pages with their localizations. Have I ever done that? Then, how come I am supposedly against The Organization? 198.144.116.76 (talk) 00:00, February 27, 2013 (UTC) MadRest
You shouldn't continue to edit after being banned. You're still able to edit your own talk page even if your account is blocked. You can use that to appeal the block if you think it was unjust. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:03, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
Unlawfully banned, Master D? There is no law here. There are policies that we have asked you to follow, and you have repeatedly not done so, then continued resisting at each and every point. Why was the Stardust page Deleted? I was trying to make it as a Series page since Stardust Dragon, Stardust Xiaolong, Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, Stardust Phantom, Stardust Radiance Dragon and Malefic Stardust Dragon follow the rules for a series since the names relate by being spelled as スターダスト in Japanese and they each relate to each other in appearance for the most part. --LycanFX (talkcontribs) 05:37, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

I'm gonna be honest; while I don't know what to think about this situation, really, I do find it odd that he would bother to evade a ban that he maintains was wrongfully handed out, and attempt to change IPs to boot. Sorry if I alarmed you, but I do appreciate you taking the time to complete our survey. If you send your shipping information to [email protected], I'll send your gift card in the next week.

YamiWheeler, thanks for your feedback too! We love to hear from everyone.

YGO AbridgedEdit

Well, my exams are done and over with and I think I'm ready for the YGO Abridged project. Where can I start? ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 15:01, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

  • Images need to be re-uploaded, and articles need to have cards & characters link back to the main wiki. You can format the links like this: [[y:c:yugioh:Rebecca Hawkins|Rebecca Hawkins]] as an example.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 15:53, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
Cool; thanks. I might be a bit slow on those, though ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 16:14, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

WCS-002\003Edit

hello! i see that in the World championship promos there are these 2 WCS-002 Victory Dragon and WCS-003 Black Luster Soldier, but i can't find any reference about these 2 cards apart from someone who copied the wiki... can you remember the source for that? or something that can prove their existance? thanks /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talkcontribs) 21:02, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

They're in Konami's Japanese database. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:10, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
And the English one. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:12, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
oh sorry, i missed those.. however there are no other info, there are no source about them being asian-english, also ygo-card.de says they are Ultra and yugioh-wiki.net doesn't specifies the rarity. in some years i've seen almost all wcs promos on the market (even 4-5 of the uniques), but never heard or seen of these two... while there are plenty of kanan wcs-001. maybe the konami site is incorrect? would be useful a partecipant of the WCS2003.... /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talkcontribs) 22:38, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

I'm not that much of a jerk.Edit

Sorry about the post on winternightmare's user chat. I already apologized. Again, heat of the moment; I had just found out that arguments that lasted for months, cost me 2 acquaintances, got me kicked out of Konami's offices, caused me to get temporarily banned on dueling network and got me kicked out of a cardshop (For standing on the metaphorical soap box) had come out in my favor. Sorry if I was rude.--Deathpyre (talkcontribs) 18:40, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe it's time for you to go sit on big block of ice - as of your butt must be hurt from all those kickings. Sorry about what happened to you through those events. So enough of apologize and just start anew. --iFredCat 18:42, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, I won. This was just an apology for gloating.--Deathpyre (talkcontribs) 00:49, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Won the battle on that Chatbox? Well, congratulation and don't gloat over on that again in the future. --iFredCat 00:50, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
So, you're sorry you're rude, but you then go to make that kind of statement Deathpyre? You didn't 'win'. There is no 'winning' here. Konami corrected the lore, and we have updated that lore. The lore was correct when initially received in English, and we would make the same choice again, and again in that circumstance.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 01:01, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
The guy asserted that I had lost. In the context of an argument, having an incorrect or undefendable conclusion is a loss. Since my assertion (The eng lore in Duel Terminal 7 for Verz Thunderbird is in error) was correct, I won. Since My core assertion was correct, the only issue was the improperly thought out gloating. Since the gloating is the sole issue, that is all I apologize for. Also, on a secondary note, the gloating statement was poorly worded. You are correct, the initial translated lore for Verz Thunderbird was correct, and so is the current lore. --Deathpyre (talkcontribs) 05:03, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Request BlockEdit

Hello, I apologize for the bother but I wish to request to block an user. Due to not behaving the right way. And this isn't the first time, this user is in his secondary account (this first being User:MajinRaiko) and has been banned for misbehaving many times before. This user cannot control its anger and then complains that the other person started with dumb comments, I'm saying this as an example.

[1] This is an example when he was first banned by Deltaneos and came back full of anger and then kept insulting but soon left and come back with another account. Both me and Spongebob are always on the watch for him and we got tired of this user so I stepped in and I'm requesting for such thing. This user has also harassed me on the private messages, practically saying the same thing as he said to Spongebob. "You're an abusive mod who has let what little authority he has on this site go to his head." (...) "Either go get a life or go kill yourself, because the one you got now is going to waste." This behavior cannot go on, he has acting like this either in the chat and in wiki.
So I would appreciate that something would be done, I'll answer any question that can be asked. --~NS~ 18:17, May 9, 2013 (UTC)

The Argue Continued On...Edit

This discussion is still dragging on and on, so do you think it's a good time to put it to stop and lock it? They still argued about it even after the article was throwing out. --iFredCat 19:56, May 17, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for tape that article up and prevent it from turned into future World War 3.
But again, like I said before when you got me banned, my personality is immune from that bans but indeed, you're right - I should keep my feet off those "welcome" mat often in the future. Like Delta, I have nothing to support OR to against your reasons - all I can say is; Do your best with the works. --iFredCat 22:06, May 17, 2013 (UTC)

ConclusionEdit

Earlier today on the Forum:Restore Numbers trivia thread, we were both trying to prevent user Hawk00Refferencer from adding in trivia that didn't cohere to the trivia policy. However, I think that we have reached a consensus on that thread. Yami Wheeler and I have proposed that all trivia concerning the "Numbers" cards be moved to a sticky forum thread like Forum:Reasons why cards are Forbidden/Limited. My suggestion was that all non-obvious trivia concerning the "Numbers" be moved from it's trivia page (If needed) and placed on the forum thread instead. It would help to reduce the need of constantly having to revert the edits of users who don't know the trivia policy, and would allow users who are interested to post up their own theories or beliefs on the forum page. We wanted to know if you would be in support of that. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:31, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

BujinsEdit

I get it for the Bujin part, but the Bujingi and Bujinki are not the same in both versions, so should I use Bujin Relics like they were before? ReadjustPurge (talkcontribs) 00:53, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

I think having the phonetic be the same as the translation is the way to go in this case. The TCG going with "Bujin" indicates it wasn't meant to be translated at all. You're right that "Bujingi" and "Bujinki" aren't the same though. So using "Bujinki" as the translation is what I'd suggest. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:06, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Quotation marks in Ruling PagesEdit

Hi TwoTailedFox!

I saw your recent edits in some Ruling Pages and I noticed that you changed the quotation marks in some card names. You changed these “” quotation marks into these "" . Is there some kind of policy in Wikia so we must use those quotation marks in the articles, or is there some other reason you did that for?

If it doesn't matter much, I suggest we should change them back to the quotation marks that the official Rulings have. I say that because we are supposed to post the Rulings exactly the same as they are written in their official source. Ok, maybe the quotation marks doesn't make the Ruling much different but unless there isn't a serious reason for it, then it is better to leave them as they appear in the source.

ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 16:38, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

You are right about the source, Shriek isn't official so it shouldn't be used as source. I added the official source now to those Rulings. But the official Rulings use both kind of quotation marks, it isn't that much Shriek's own proprietary formatting. So, can we add the “” quotation marks to those Rulings that have them in their official source? ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 21:56, August 18, 2013 (UTC)
Yes. I hadn't see those quotation marks on Konami rulings that we have, those were only on ones we had from Shriek.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 21:58, August 18, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thanks! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 06:16, August 19, 2013 (UTC)

Good morning/afternoon.

Would you be so kind as to add Number 87: Queen of the Night on the female XYZ monster list? I would do it myself but after many unsuccessful attempts I still have no idea how to edit the table without destroying the rest of it.

El Verano (talkcontribs) 15:05, August 22, 2013 (UTC)

Your edit to the "Number 87: Queen of the Night" page should be enough to update the list of female cards page automatically. The female page just takes longer than other pages to update, because of its use of concepts. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:18, August 22, 2013 (UTC)]

New Parent Filter ProgramEdit

Hey, TwoTailedFox! I'm sure you've already heard, but Wikia has just launched the Parent Filter program and we would love your help getting it rolled out to your community! The goal of Parent Filter pages is to have the real experts on topics (our Wikia users) give parents accurate information about the pop culture their kids want to play, watch, and read. This new page is now part of the MediaWiki messages on your community, and has a template for you to fill in with parent-relevant information.

If you'd like help filling out the page, let us know and we'll be happy to lend a hand, but you can also read more about the program in this staff blog! Thanks! Grace <staff/> (profile)•(talk) 21:13, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

Please feel free to share that in the comments on the staff blog! That way everyone can see it, especially when it gets answered :) Grace <staff/> (profile)•(talk) 21:45, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! It looks like you expressed interest in getting the Parent Filter page together earlier but haven't gotten a chance to do so yet. Again, this page is a really great resource for parents looking for information about a franchise for their kids, and it would be awesome if we could get a comprehensive page together for Yu-Gi-Oh since it's such a classic series for people of all ages! If you need any help on the Parent Filter page, let me know. I'll go ahead and get things started if I don't hear back from you by the end of the week :) Grace <staff/> (profile)•(talk) 17:59, October 23, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, TwoTailedFox! I went ahead and tried to fill out some things for the parent filter page as you can see here. I obviously am no expert on the subject so it would be great if the community could go in and edit/add information that is important for parents to know! Let me know if you need any more help on our end, thanks :) Grace <staff/> (profile)•(talk) 21:31, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Card PagesEdit

After reading Forum:We have made some changes to cards, I was wondering what I could do to help? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:45, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

Is the only unofficial lore Chinese? Also, is there any page with a list of the cards that need to have name and lore spaces created? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:42, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
Any language that is not English, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Japanese, or Korean is Unofficial. There are two exceptions to this: "Dark Magician" and "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" have Official Chinese names and lores, they use zhname and zhlore; every other card release should use chname and chlore. Also, while Portuguese is official, 99% of our names are unverified. Until a name can be verified, it should use ptnameu for the variable, rather than ptname. Use the latter for names that have been checked against Portuguese card images. You can call different language names and lores by duplicating the text, and replacing the language called for with another; just make sure that, if you're referencing Chinese or Portuguese for those pages, call Unofficial Chinese name / lore, or Unofficial Portuguese name / lore.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 09:55, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Need HelpEdit

The people on the forum didn't help me that much so I wondered if you would .

I want to summon the gods , not send them to my graveyard , My strategy is to make my opponent incapable of being able to attack on his turn nor being able to destroy my spells , traps and monsters , and also ways of using his and my cards as tributes for the gods , also , The synchros , that have very good effects( I ordered some more on Amazon), which can not only stop an attack but gain attack making them really hard to destroy and then cards that allow me to add to my hand any monster from my deck

( three of these kindsof cards will be very handy ) I also have a few fusion monsters too. Any cards that will render him helpless and will help me win. ( I bought Azure Eyes Silver Dragon which will definitely come in handy!) so all that I stated above , Id like to have advice on . The synchros I can then use as sacrifices for the gods . please read everything I just typed . I would really appreciate it . Please give me advice for this strategy . Any other monsters , spells and traps to help me with it that you have in mind would be awesome ! --Karticobra (talkcontribs) 05:35, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I had added on the homepage of your wiki a second French-speaking wiki on the theme of Yu-Gi-Oh! And you removed him(it). I understand perfectly your gesture(movement) and I would admit you that on your place I would have done the same thing: D. well, I suppose that you compared these 2 French-speaking wikis. You had to notice that the one with which you maintain a partnership is now little active, see anymore, and by knowing that he(it) dates 2008 has not exceeded(overtaken) 850 pages yet... I thus considered useful to propose mine to users looking for a French-speaking contents. This one dates June of the last year, but already possesses a solid, active community and more than 2100 pages. I would thus ask you if it would be possible that our 2 wikis can maintain a partnership. Thank you beforehand in the name of my community. {{SUBST:Utilisateur:Matauf/Signature}} 20:12, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Yes, I understand... I already spoke to the French-speaking assistants and the administrator(director) of this wiki, and the fusion(merger) was refused by the other administrator(director), and it is true than even if I was ready to accept him(it) I was not necessarily for either; our articles are completely different and the functionings of 2 wikis still +... There would not be another possibility? Thank you in advance. {{SUBST:Utilisateur:Matauf/Signature}} 20:33, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

Very well, very well, your refusal is understandable, but it's a pity... I wish all the best to you all the same, and congratulation for the 2nd place in the WAM ;) {{SUBST:Utilisateur:Matauf/Signature}} 21:05, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

You contacted meEdit

Hi there,
What can I do for you?
{{SUBST:SCaps|Yamimillenium}} - {{SUBST:SCaps|Me Contacter}} 15:06, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Well,
I'm free to discuss this, _again_. It has been discussed with the French Wikia Community (FWC) and we had pros (new contributors) and cons (our pages are way better (there are more informations, we check our articles to prevent typos, ...), they began their wiki after mine and kept working on it despite the French Wikia Community's alerts, ...). I don't mind listening to your arguments, but you need to know that the French Wikia Community decided to let everything like it was after a lot of discussion (I wasn't invited to those discussions in the beginning). The FWC just offered to change their wikia to Yu-Gi-Oh! (2) on the French anime portal, and they agreed to this decision. The ystarted their wikia about Yu-Gi-Oh! GX first and told that their wiki would be different than mine when the FWC told them mine already existed. A few time later, they decidec to change their wiki so it could resolved around the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise and asked to take my wiki's place. It didn't work with the FWC, so now they are trying with you.
I'm not against a fusion of our wiki, but not like this. On their wiki, only 1% of the content is interesting, not redundant and well-written (not in a perfect French, though).
If you have arguments, I'm listening, but be informed that they didn't listened to the FWC recommendation in the past.
{{SUBST:SCaps|Yamimillenium}} - {{SUBST:SCaps|Me Contacter}} 15:58, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Hello, I saw the message left by Yamilenium and I thus allow to bring some modifications if that does not disturb. 1, their pages are not better that ours, far from there. If I express no opinion, we cannot decide that an article is better that an other one, each has its tastes. If I express my opinion, our articles have to envy nothing in them their, their articles are "longer" because they repeat the same information in several languages(tongues). Yes, exactly as you. Not that I find this bad presentation(display), but the same X2 page it is not openly(frankly) the pip(top). Our information is different, we do not raise the same subjects. We have more information bound(connected) in livens up(leads) him(it) and in the video games while they... Ben for my part it is as you with information less. It is if an opinion(notice) which commits(hires) only me. Contrary to the fact that he(it) insinuates, our articles have nothing empty, but each the opinion(notice).... We did not receive alert that its wiki existed not the wiki of communities, it is when I approached for the first time the fact of being referenced that a refusal was given to me because its wiki existed. I knew about his(her, its) existence but I did not think that it would prevent us from being visible... For the end of the discussion... Ben there was not really, we left on an idea which was not pursued... For the little interesting contents, I have already approached this theme, and it is true which I as find him the contents of other one little interesting, but good... For little correct French, I préfèrerais to say nothing.... If there is a typing error, what arrives on any site understood(included) his there, it is enough to click the button to modify and to correct " ^^ I would conclude on the fact that was given that it is him who possesses the best place(square), he did not make many efforts to find an agreement or ideas, but it is Understandable... I wish you a good day and a good continuation ^^ {{SUBST:Utilisateur:Matauf/Signature}} 18:03, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
Their pages are better than yours; I've gone through a sample of your content, and there is little to recommend. The existing site at fr.yugioh.wikia should be improved, rather than additional work be expended on fr.yu-gi-oh.wikia. You don't use card images for information verification, you don't bother linking Set Numbers, nor do you bother with Card Numbers. You also do not link text in lores. You may have more physical cards with articles, but the quality of your information leaves much to be desired.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:06, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, We do not use images of cards(maps) because the information contained on this one is exactly the same that that in the model " ^^ for us it was not the punishment(effort) to put back(to hand) the same thing. If we continued on other our wiki it is because for us, the other less active wiki had a contents which did not suit to us because we considered it too much traced on yours... If we compare a card(map) "classic": Dark Magician:

On notices that what they made is very resembling on your page. After each of the wikis in his(her, its) specialities: we base ourselves for the moment mainly on livens up(leads) him(it) and the video games while the other wiki is more centred on the card game(deck of cards), but that is going to change because I am "reforming" the layout of the monstrous cards(maps) and new information has to represent(appear). I am also anxious to specify that the majority of the information which they make appear in models are also at our home(with us) but in the categories. You should not either exclude criteria our pages characters, episodes etc. It seems to me that they appear in very small quantity even not at all at their home(with them). For the current(in class) change in cards(maps), I would inform you. But we shall not begin monsters, then magics and finally the Traps. It risks to set at least one and a half month before everything is ended. All the best. {{SUBST:Utilisateur:Matauf/Signature}} 19:40, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Hey!Edit

Hey man, thanks for responding to my comment to Adan. If I remember correctly, the rule of thumb is that someone else has to nominate you for admin first, I'm not sure if that policy has changed. If it has, I'll be glad to apply ASAP. Furthermore, an article index will greatly help navigation for all users. I'd be willing to help in any way I can. Feel free to message me on my EG talk page. Peace out! Zmario 01:49, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I think that game serves as a good example. Sakurai has confirmed that title for the game is actually "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" and "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS". So little detail has been given about major differences between games, that at this point, it's safe to have it under one article. I made sure to at least include a "version difference" section so everyone doesn't assume it's the exact same game, one for handheld, one for console.
Oh, I also wanted to bring up to you about the Crusader class for D3: you keep removing it from the list of classes available in Diablo III (in theory, the Crusader class IS in Diablo III as you can start a level 1 character and go through the entire base content of Diablo III). If you're planning on doing that, we'll have to go through every game with expansions pack that add new characters/classes/etc (such as WoW, EverQuest, etc.) Let me know more about this if you want!
Other then that, I agree with the activity part of EG, we need several consistent editors that are willing to put in more work. I see Jagged, Adan, you, me, and a few others occasionally add stuff. But for the most part, there's still a ton of work to get done specifically: orphaned pages and mass Wiki imported pages with dead links galore. Would it be possible to create a bot that can clear dead links and broken redirects?
Thanks in advance! Zmario 18:29, April 15, 2014 (UTC)
I see what you're saying. We should have a database of previous patches throughout each expansion, chronological order of course. Sounds like a lot of work would have to be put into it. Zmario 00:24, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
Agreed. Now about execution...I was thinking that for each expansion on EG we could include a section on patches, either as a subheader (may be too much information for the page to load properly), or an anchor page (World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade/Patch history) and have the same setup for each subsequent expansion. I already found a great database for the patch notes, just wanted to hear your suggestions about this. Zmario 10:45, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
Cool, how soon do you think we can get this project started? Zmario 19:57, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Missing LinkEdit

Hello. I noticed that Number 31: Embodiment of Punishment is not listed on the "Numbers" archetype template. One way to tell is that it is not bolded on the template that appears on that card's page. Thanks if you can fix that, or forward it to someone who can.--Aivass Remurias (talkcontribs) 05:09, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

Also, the "Match Winners" template is missing quite a few cards that should be on there.--Aivass Remurias (talkcontribs) 20:26, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

deleted categoryEdit

I'm tired that every time that I edit or modify always delete what I do is not the first time when I upload pictures that I photo captured me erased and re-up with the name of others do not understand because I deleted the category that I put. this is the last time I'm tired and not edited or collaborated more with this ad (Mercuriomen (talkcontribs) 01:26, May 22, 2014 (UTC))

French Yu-Gi-Oh!Edit

Hello TwoTailedFox,

I noticed a small lower right message of this wiki, warning(preventing) that there is a French version of the wiki Yu-Gi-Oh! I find very nice to help the French community to develop, but me suppose that you know that there are 2 big French communities of Yu-Gi-Oh! On wikia. To favor it one is, according to me, not very just for the other one... I thus wanted to ask you if it was not possible to make represent the 2nd wiki YGO on the message.

It atente of an answer

Matauf

The answer does not have me allowed to understand the reasons, but at least I have it a which has the merit to be clear, thank you.

Good day.

Matauf

Hello,

I do not speak English very well, I have can be made some errors of understanding, forgive me if certain points of the answer are irrelevant...

Indeed the fusion is impossible. I agreed to accept him at the end of last year but Yamimilenium did not want, and then finally we have all 2 decided not to fusion. Nevertheless I proposed a partnership between our 2 wikis, or although fr.yugioh can participate in the animations which makes our wiki etc., but it in always refused by Yamimilenium. I am, certainly, against a fusion just like Yamililenium, but I tried to move closer to our wikis repeatedly unsuccessfully. If need be I can prove my statements.

I don't want to replace fr.yugioh. What I would like shall be that our 2 wikis are equal, side by side. I respect fr.yugioh which made a considerable work in 5 years, it is undeniable. I am not thus absolutely against the fact that you make for them of the ad, it is even a very good initiative. But I think that you understand that my community shall like too appear there... Why not make represent the links of our 2 wikis? If it is the contents which hampers we work at present on a new template, I could show him to you soon.

Cordially

Matauf

The GameEdit

Is it OK for your staff to just inadvertently wander off to places they know nothing about, incorporate their demands and protect/lock other users created pages to this wikia's contribution???

They are the gatekeepers to this realm. They have been hand-picked due to their extensive knowledge of the game. When you submit anything here, anyone else has the ability to modify that content without penalty. We lock pages when people abuse this privilege. Pages created by you are not your property. All I've seen so far are your demands, and your extreme lack of knowledge of the subject matter involved.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 22:45, August 2, 2014 (UTC)
If it wasn't for me we wouldn't have had an OCG banlist, I've put in a great amount of work into that - major pluses to me having it from 2003 which ONLY longest of Yu-Gi-Oh duelists could remember dating that far; and now I'm being "locked out of heaven" by someone who didn't clearly understand how OCG banlist works, and still hasn't fixed the errors he left behind once he protected that page. BTW 2-Tailed Fox do you 200% know every one of your 20 co-admins/gatekeepers (you know there are some real interesting things to read on UltimateKuriboh's talk page) like how he was previously a different user and why was it that he had to make a new account?

P.S. No disrespect or discrimination here, I just would like to receive TRUTHFUL answers.

Making a useful contribution does not give you a free pass to be a dick. Protected pages still have a talk page; that is where discussions should be taken. You don't throw your weight around on a user's talk page over something so trivial. As for users and alternate accounts, that's not against Wikia rules.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:05, August 2, 2014 (UTC)
I was never being a dick, I'm sorry but I like for things to be in order (that's an admin job) but my page OCG Banlist still looks like a mess and I can't do anything to clean it up and no one else seems to be doing anything either. Look at a perspective of an outsider/visitor of this site it would be a disappointment for this wikia and that's your responsibility.
Looks like you have provided insufficient answers to the questions I asked. Seems like I will have to take this to the higher court.
I've given you the tools needed to make a contribute. Also, please stop making an ass of yourself. I'm asking nicely.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:17, August 2, 2014 (UTC)
I've been asking nicely for my page to be cleaned up, you gotta give a lil' bit to get back a lil' bit back. And please apologize I do not like being called in things. Eko is Oke (talkcontribs) 23:26, August 2, 2014 (UTC)
Not your page. You've also not posted changes that you feel should be made on the talk page.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 23:32, August 2, 2014 (UTC)

Hi there,

I'm having a problem - some really old version of the wiki editor has replaced the one I'm used to. Now, the one I'm used to has white, silvery buttons and a drop-down search box for linking; this one only has a row of square, blue button that are hard to tell what each does. Is this because I was adding to an archived article? Either way I'll need a solution or all my edits will be forever link-less.

Cheers, ThefabledDavid.

Great minds think alikeEdit

I see that the Tier List pages have been removed. Nice job though, we can't have Tier List with errors and way-out-of-hand people that think they're better than you and/or me. TSCHUSS!!! Eko is Oke (talkcontribs) 18:31, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

RE: YuyaEdit

urgh... fine, do as you wish. But then promise me that refs like that are going to be added every time from now on, not just this once. Also, add the ref to Gongenzaka's Susano-O, since it was also revealed via anime scan. Why didn't you add it there? Because this is a one time thing.. Trust me, you will not keep this up, but do as you wish... I don't want to but i can't wait to see you fail to keep up--Omojuze (talkcontribs) 17:51, September 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hahaha don't make me laugh.. I've been outside all day today, but how about you? xD Making a "change" for ONE character and for ONE time is just plain stupid, but sure, be stupid if you will... If you have nothing else to do, make up rules that aren't gohttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:TwoTailedFox?action=edit&section=120#ing to be enforced or followed the next day. I'm speechless 'cause of your naivety.--Omojuze (talkcontribs) 18:00, September 19, 2014 (UTC)
"I could always revoke your account access; easier to be rid of you, rather than risk you inciting an edit war every time we deviate from the norm" - You've said enough. Do what you want.. I seriously don't even care, it would just prove my point and show everyone how much of a coward you are. I seriously wasn't picking fights, but if you want one, i will rather walk away, you can be the smart-a*s person, i will just silently laugh.. You've just turned an argument about a rule that nobody, not even you, are going to follow but trying to enforce, into a fight. I think you should just go to bed... xDD--Omojuze (talkcontribs) 18:20, September 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hello,

My friend and I keep a record of every TCG premier event in Yu-Gi-Oh's history and a list of the game's top players. We are very interested in transferring our list onto this Wikia page. I went ahead and copied the top players list part into its own page, but I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on the best way to transfer the list. Is there some type of process I need to go through in order to do this? Do you have any tips for making the page look better? How about for attracting more traffic?

Here is a link to our records. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zHSVTHTW723rOgioCQtsyqD7gN6_she9vzrCqxhKPb4/edit?pli=1

RE:Lua on Civilization wikiEdit

Your example looks very good! The Civ5 data is extracted directly from the game files so that's why it's got so many fields over so many files. As for how many fields you should include, I say that separating your values as much as possible can only be to your advantage since you (and others) can then use those values in scripts everywhere. For instance I would personally split up "BUILD 7" into 2 fields so that comparisons can be made on either of them without having parse the string.

Quick notes : I moved your AC pages over to SMAC as it's the suffix we've been using for Alpha Centauri pages and you can use quotes (" ") for strings that don't contain newlines. Additionally, you can use [[ ]] for strings if they will contain newlines but no brackets ([ ]). --Becer (talkcontribs) 22:42, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

Your signature on Encyclopedia GamiaEdit

Why does your E.G. signature link to here? -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 01:32, November 30, 2014 (UTC)

  • Because I've been on Wikia for ten years, and the signature carries across Wikia wikis. There is nothing preventing you from leaving me a local message.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 01:34, November 30, 2014 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! Community AppEdit

Hey, TwoTailedFox!

Did you know that approximately half of the visits across Wikia are coming from mobile devices? To support that mobile traffic, Wikia is creating iOS and Android apps that focus exclusively on individual communities. We are happy to inform you that Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia has been selected to receive a dedicated community app. This means that you will have an app exclusively for your community that you, the admins, can curate!

Check out this help page that will explain how and where to manage your content in your community app, and also ways to promote your Community App on your own community.

If you have any questions about the Community App itself, how to manage content on it, or how to promote it, please write in to Special:Contact. Thanks for being an exceptional community! Good luck with the app! Grace <staff/> (profile)•(talk) 00:21, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

Central of yu-gi-oh communitiesEdit

Hi , I 'm a big fan of the wiki and ADM of Portuguese wiki. I recently had an idea, which was create a wikia and / or pages on social networks , where all yugioh communities in all countries and languages, with all variants (per example the wiki decks and the wiki yugioh questions) for wikis can communicate more easily with each other , for projects together , to help each other .... etc .

This project would have the name given in the title and would only serve to communicate , not as an encyclopedia of yugioh

Right now, I'm also contact the other wikis.

For more details , leave a message on my wall .

Which episodeEdit

Steven+Amethyst=UnknownFusion (talkcontribs) 20:16, September 28, 2015 (UTC) Hello TwoTailedFox. I'm sure you know the original Yu-Gi-Oh series pretty well. You see, there's this video on youtube called "Yami & Yugi Decode". At the one minute and four seconds mark Yugi falls to the ground and Yami goes to Yugi and puts his hands on Yugi's shoulders, probably asking Yugi if he is okay. I REALLY want to know what episode that moment is from. Would you mind watching that moment in the video and then telling me what episode it comes from, please? If it comes from a movie, please tell me which movie. Sorry if I asked you for too much.Steven+Amethyst=UnknownFusion (talkcontribs) 20:16, September 28, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I don't use my Skype as much as I used to, but my Skype is mattmagoo94. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 01:21, October 4, 2015 (UTC)

RE:PromotionEdit

Thanks. ^^ To be honest, I do have a Skype account, but all of my friends have switched to either Facebook or Whats App, so I don't use it anymore. :P I can start using it again, though, if you think my participation is important. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 14:03, October 4, 2015 (UTC)

I see, I'll try to be more active on Skype, then. You can find me as "kankurouno.32", I'll be displayed with my real name, Pietro Trombini, if I'm not mistaken. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:52, October 4, 2015 (UTC)

Blank GlitchEdit

I haven't come across it in a while, but a lot of users keep running into this glitch where the page appears to be blank after it gets edited. Null-Editing apparently fixes this, but most users don't seem to know that. Is it possible to inform them of that in the Community Messages section? Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:40, October 10, 2015 (UTC)

Tooltip templatesEdit

Looks like you got the tooltip templates working, which is awesome. However, I notice that there are several of them ({{Tooltip}}, {{TooltipA}}, {{TooltipHTML}}, {{TooltipSMW}} etc.). Is there a distinction among them? How am I supposed to know what tooltip to use and when? The main reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of integrating the tooltips into my Monster template. RedDrgn (talkcontribs) 05:44, January 25, 2016 (UTC)

OK, cool. That was kinda my first impression, and now that I've taken a quick peek at the source code that makes sense. Are there any plans to make one for manga cards? RedDrgn (talkcontribs) 03:27, January 26, 2016 (UTC)

Regarding "Template:TooltipA", one problem occurs is that, for Pendulum cards, the Pendulum effects are not shown. Also, for Spells and Traps, the monster card related field don't really fit in.
Though it might be really hard to implement, but i suggest that if possible make two more "Template:TooltipA" based templates, one for Pendulum cards (which would include fields for Pendulum Scale & Effect), and other one for Spell/Trap cards.
Might be a bit confusing for some to utilize, but could help make the articles look more better.
PS: I don't know if something like this has already been planned or not.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 11:44, March 27, 2016 (UTC)

AyEdit

Yo TTF, I know we don't each other and all, but anyways, nice to meet you. I was wondering, what would be a good Gogogo deck besides the ones listed on the "Gogogo" page. That's all for me, peace out.

Tier ListEdit

We have removed the Tier List on your userspace. In the past we have had users who have linked to lists such as that, and it has led to misinformation that the Wiki officially sanctions such lists. This is nothing personal against you personally, we're just removing something before someone can latch on to it. You're welcome to link to a list of Tiers on an external site, say, Pastebin, and include a link to that in your main User page, as a compromise.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 20:06, November 3, 2015 (UTC)

What is your problem? You shouldn't be sticking your nose into other people's privacy.

THE LIST was for my references, now you deleted it and now I no longer remember what was there...

I guess people like you really love to abuse your admin powers on newbies.

Eko is Oke (talkcontribs) 05:59, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

If you must make something on this wiki for your own reference, do it as a sub-userpage instead of doing it on the mainspace. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 06:40, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
The tier list was on his userspace. We removed it because people on other websites (read: Reddit) love linking to such lists, and treating them as 100% fact. Tier lists by definition are subjective, and it's the one exception we currently have for what can be placed in user space.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 07:59, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
My bad on that one. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 08:30, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

I dont give a shit, if someone would post on Reddit or whatever. I needed that list now, and you took the Liberty of minding other peoples business TwoTailedFox. You should have just sent me an email not do what you please. Ask and ye shall receive I always say.— This unsigned comment was made by Eko is Oke (talkcontribs)

The reason why tier lists are rather subjective is because people have different perceptions in what decks are good and which ones aren't. I'll give you an example: some people think that Speedroids are good because of their fast Synchro Summoning capabilities, while others don't go anywhere near them because the individual monsters are weak in general. And another thing: Talking back to the admins, especially the head admin of this wiki (of whom this talk page belongs to) is a very bad idea. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 17:04, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
OK, Eko, let's run through how this conversation could have happened, in a parallel universe where you're not a dick.
Eko
Hello TwoTailedFox! I see that you deleted a page from my user space. I understand that user spaces are a privilege, and not a guaranteed right for hosting content. However, I would very much like a copy of that deleted content, as I need it for personal use.
Me
Absolutely! Please provide me an appropriate method for transmission, and I will deliver it as soon as I'm able to.

You see how easy that was? But, no, you chose to come into my talk page and stand on a soapbox, rather than asking what can be done. There are reasons emails aren't used; first off, it delays us taking care of what we perceive as a problem, and second, you've just confirmed that email wouldn't have been wise in this circumstance. It's taken you more than four months to realise that the information you posted isn't there, and that doesn't paint your attention to detail in a positive light.

"Ask and ye shall receive" is all very well and good, but I prefer "You reap what you sow", and so far, all you've sown is a very deep desire for me not to want to assist you in this matter.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 16:59, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

Eko, I think you misunderstand the level of entitlement and privacy with user pages. While it is largely your own business what you put on it, if it starts harming the wiki or other people, it becomes other people's business too.
Unlike a file saved on your own computer, a user pages exists because of a free service wikis provide people with, but doesn't have to provide people with. If a free service is damaging the thing providing it, it doesn't have to continue to provide the service.
I can understand the annoyance in seeing your work destroyed, but he explained it was nothing personal and that you had alternatives. Deleted pages are backed up. All you needed to do was ask for a copy. -- Deltaneos (talk) 18:24, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
I didn't know that deleted pages were backed up didn't I (hence the wikia newbie)? I'd appreciate if 2-Tailed Fox sends it to my email. Also "if it starts harming the wiki or other people, it becomes other people's business too." I hardly think an unrenowned list would do any harm anywhere. Ramsay Sworn to Night King 22:34, September 26, 2016 (UTC)
The original decision stands.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 23:45, September 26, 2016 (UTC)
What original decision? Just send me the copy you mentioned you had backed up. I don't have time to get into another argument/debate Ramsay Sworn to Night King 23:52, September 26, 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I've a question. Do you mind sharing the source code that is used to show the byte size of a page? I've gone through the more commonly used CSS pages, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.
