"Infiltrate SOL's Cyber Fortress" is the sixteenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on August 30, 2017. It became available with official subtitles via Crunchyroll on the same day.
In order to search for the truth about the incident ten years ago, Playmaker hacked into SOL's mother computer, and heads for the data bank that lies deep within its system. However, standing in his way is a Dueling AI program! Can Playmaker get past this new threat and seize the truth?!

Playmaker vs. Prototype Ai-A
The Duel is conducted as a Speed Duel.
Turn 1: Ai-A
Prototype Ai-A activates the effect of "Tentacluster Darkwhip" (100/500) in its hand, paying 500 LP to Special Summon it (Ai-A: 4000 → 3500 LP). Ai-A then activates the Spell Card "Machine Duplication" to Special Summon two copies of a Machine monster with 500 or less ATK from its Deck. It Special Summons two more copies of "Darkwhip" (100/500 each).
Ai-A uses the three copies of "Darkwhip" to Link Summon "Tentacluster Nautilus" (0/LINK-3/↙↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Nautilus" was Link Summoned, AI-A activates its effect to Special Summon a "Tentacluster" monster from its hand to a zone it points to. It Special Summons "Tentacluster Drillworm" (600/1200) to the zone the bottom Link Arrow of "Nautilus" points to. Ai-A Normal Summons a second copy of "Drillworm" to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Nautilus" points to. Ai-A activates the effect of "Nautilus" to destroy all cards it points to. As both copies of "Drillworm" were destroyed, Ai-A activates their effects, allowing it to send a random card from Playmaker's hand to the GY for each, and if a monster was sent to the GY, another random card is sent to the GY. "Flick Clown" and "Dual Assembwurm" are sent to the GY by the effect of the first "Drillworm", while "Linkslayer" and "Cynet Defrag" are sent to the GY by the effect of the second.
Turn 2: Playmaker
During the Standby Phase, as Ai-A controls no monsters in the Main Monster Zones, and has no cards in its hand, it activates the effect of "Drillworm" in its GY, banishing the other "Drillworm" from its GY to send a random card from Playmaker's hand to the GY, then Special Summoning it in Defense Position (600/1200). "Dotscaper" is sent to the GY. Playmaker activates the effect of "Dual Assembwurm" in his GY, banishing two Cyberse monsters from his GY to Special Summon it with its ATK halved. He banishes "Linkslayer" and "Dotscaper" in his GY to Special Summon "Dual Assembwurm" (2800 → 1400/1000) in Attack Position. As "Dotscaper" was banished, Playmaker activates its effect to Special Summon it (0/2100) in Defense Position. Playmaker then activates the effect of "Cynet Defrag" in his GY, paying half his LP to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster in his GY in Defense Position and equip "Cynet Defrag" to that monster (Playmaker: 4000 → 2000 LP). He Special Summons "Flick Clown" (1000/1400). As Playmaker has no cards in his hand, he activates the effect of "Flick Clown", paying 1000 LP to draw a card (Playmaker: 2000 → 1000 LP).
At this point, Playmaker enters the Data Storm. As his LP is 1000 or lower, Playmaker activates his Skill, "Storm Access", to randomly access a card within a Data Storm. Playmaker obtains "Vector Square Archfiend" and adds it to his Extra Deck.
Playmaker uses "Dual Assembwurm", "Dotscaper", and "Flick Clown" to Link Summon "Vector Square Archfiend" (2400/LINK-3/↙↑→) to the Extra Monster Zone. Playmaker Normal Summons "Cyberse Wizard" (1800/800) to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Vector Square Archfiend" points to. "Cyberse Wizard" attacks and destroys "Tentacluster Drillworm". "Vector Square Archfiend" attacks and destroys "Tentacluster Nautilus" (Ai-A: 3500 → 1100 LP). As "Vector Square Archfiend" destroyed a monster by battle, Playmaker activates its effect, letting him Tribute a monster to Special Summon the destroyed monster to an opponent's zone it points to and let it attack that monster again. He Tributes "Cyberse Wizard" to Special Summon "Nautilus" to the zone the top Link Arrow of "Vector Square Archfiend" points to. "Vector Square Archfiend" attacks and destroys "Nautilus" (Ai-A: 1100 → 0 LP).
