Yugi Muto is a character in the Tag Force games. This is a video game version of the anime character, Yugi Muto.

Profile

童実野（どみの）高校（こうこう）に通（かよ）う高校生（こうこうせい）。
気弱（きよわ）で内気（うちき）な性格（せいかく）で、幼（おさな）なじみの杏子（あんず）しか仲（なか）の良（よ）い者（もの）がおらず、完成（かんせい）させれば何（なに）か願（ねが）いが一（ひと）つ叶（かな）うと信（しん）じていた「千年（せんねん）パズル」に「親友（しんゆう）が欲（ほ）しい」と願（ねが）いをかけていた。
当初（とうしょ）は自分（じぶん）をいじめていた城之内（じょうのうち）とは、風紀（ふうき）委員（いいん）の牛尾（うしお）との一件（いっけん）をきっかけに、友情（ゆうじょう）で結（むす）ばれるようになり、その「親友（しんゆう）が欲（ほ）しい」という願（ねが）いは叶（かな）えられることとなった。

城之内（じょうのうち）と共（とも）に本田（ほんだ）とも友達（ともだち）として一緒（いっしょ）に行動（こうどう）するようになり、さらに獏良（ばくら）、御伽（おとぎ）、舞（まい）と仲間（なかま）は増（ふ）えていった。

「千年（せんねん）パズル」を完成（かんせい）させたことにより、パズルに宿（やど）っていた人格（じんかく）が自（みずか）らの中（なか）に宿（やど）り、もう一（ひと）つの人格（じんかく）を持（も）つようになった。
この「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」を遊戯（ゆうぎ）は「もう一人（ひとり）のボク」と呼（よ）び、「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」は遊戯（ゆうぎ）の事（こと）を「相棒（あいぼう）」と呼（よ）んだ。

気弱（きよわ）ではありながらも、間違（まちが）ったことには勇気（ゆうき）を持（も）って立（た）ち向（む）かえる強（つよ）い正義感（せいぎかん）を備（そな）えている。
心（こころ）優（やさ）しく仲間（なかま）思（おも）いで、「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」が過去（かこ）を取（と）り戻（もど）すために協力（きょうりょく）し、杏子（あんず）の「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」への想（おも）いを察（さっ）して、その手助（てだす）けをしようとしたりする。

双六（すごろく）仕込（じこ）みでゲームの知識（ちしき）、技術（ぎじゅつ）はなかなかのもの。

「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」と過（す）ごした日々（ひび）と数々（かずかず）のデュエルの中（なか）で、デュエリストとして、人間（にんげん）として、大（おお）きく成長（せいちょう）していくこととなる。

「もう一人（ひとり）の遊戯（ゆうぎ）」と一緒（いっしょ）に組（く）んだ、「ブラック・マジシャン」を軸（じく）としたデッキを、共（とも）に用（もち）いていたが、最後（さいご）の闘（たたか）いに際（さい）しては、自分（じぶん）一人（ひとり）で組（く）んだ「サイレント・ソードマン」、「サイレント・マジシャン」をメインとするデッキを使用（しよう）した。

Timid and shy, being only close to his childhood friend Anzu, he made a wish on the Millennium Puzzle - a wish for friends - believing that it could grant him a wish if he completed the puzzle.
His wish to have friends came true when he befriended Jonouchi, who used to bully him until an incident with Ushio, a member of the disciplinary commitee.

Being with Jonouchi brought him and Honda together, and he would also befriend others as well, including Bakura, Otogi and Mai.

By completing the Millennium Puzzle, the personality that dwelled within the Puzzle began to reside inside him, and he began to have two personalities inside him.
Yugi called this personality "the other Yugi", while the other Yugi called him "partner".

While he is timid, he has a strong sense of justice, and he is courageous when it comes to standing up against wrongdoings.
Kind-hearted and caring to his friends, he willingly helps the other Yugi with recovering his past, and also does things like try to help out Anzu upon noticing she harbors feelings for the other Yugi.

Having learned from Sugoroku, he has considerable gaming knowledge and skills.

Through the days he spent with the other Yugi, and through the duels they had, he has grown considerably as a duelist and as a person.

While together with the other Yugi, they used Decks revolving around Dark Magician that they built together, but for their final battle, he built by himself a Deck centered on Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician.
