Axel Brodie, known as Austin O'Brien (オースチン・オブライエン, Ōsuchin Oburaien) in the Japanese version, is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force video game series. This is a video game depiction of Axel Brodie, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.

Axel is faced during Jesse's last story event teamed up with Professor Viper, and during Syrus' fifth event as Vice-Chancellor Bonaparte's partner.

Axel can also be dueled against in Random Events, teamed up with either Jim or Bastion.

Tag Force 3

The player can team up with Axel after clearing at least one storyline.

Austin comes from the same school as Professor Viper, and is rumored to be his personal soldier. He is calm, intellectual and stoic like a soldier. He trains day in and day out.

Axel's duel disc is always ready for draw in its case, which resembles a gun belt. It's still a mystery why he constantly practices quick-drawing his duel disc. He uses a" Volcanic Deck" and duels intensely despite his reserved appearance.

Axel's favorite food is junk food.

He can often be seen washing down junk food with cola.

He comes from the same school as Professor Cobra, and appears to be a mercenary acting on his stead. Cool, calm and collected, he is more cerebral than he might appear. A mercenary with a stoic disposition, he diligently trains every day.

He carries his Duel Disk in a case shaped like a gun belt, and it is always ready for use. He always practices quick-drawing his Duel Disk, but it is not known what benefits that brings him for dueling. His Decks of use are "Volcanic Burn" Decks. While he is reserved, his inner feelings burn hotter than anyone else's, and they burst outwards ferociously while he duels.

His favorite food is junk food.

Perhaps there is a local rule in the place he comes from where it is advantageous to do so, like in Western movies.
