"One" is not a number.
On a foggy night, a boat carrying a coffin was floating on the ocean. A female vampire, who wore a golden choker around her neck, rose from that coffin as soon as she ran aground on Duel Academy Island.
Meanwhile, resting and recuperating in the school infirmary, Jaden and Atticus—formerly known as Nightshroud—are still weak from the first Shadow Duel, while the other Key Keepers are informed by Chancellor Sheppard to keep an eye out for anything suspicious, as rumors of an invading vampire on the island had spread fast. However, as they prepared their Decks, the Key Keepers did not realize that eavesdroppers were eyeing their Decks—a group of bats summoned by the rumored vampire.
The Key Keepers, minus Jaden and Alexis—who'd stayed behind to look after her brother—made their way to the shoreline, where a blood-red carpet rolled out before them. Moments later, approaching them on the carpet was a beautiful but evil-looking woman, who identified herself as Camula, and she offered a challenge to the Key Keepers. As her eyes fell on Zane Truesdale, Dr. Crowler—after being encouraged to accept, due to his inflated ego—reluctantly volunteered to duel the vampire.
However, Camula's Vampire-like Zombies soon back Crowler into a corner and leave him stuck there, and before too long, Crowler's soul is sealed away in a small doll, while Camula is able to open one of the Spirit Gates holding the Sacred Beasts. Is this the beginning of the end for the world?

Camula's Turn
- Summons "Zombie Werewolf" (1200 ATK / 1200 DEF) in Attack Position and sets a card
Crowler's Turn
- Activates "Ancient Gear Castle". Now, any and all "Ancient Gear" monsters he controls will gain 300 extra ATK. Also, any time Crowler Normal Summons or sets a monster, his "Castle" will gain a counter.
- Summons "Ancient Gear Soldier" (1300 ATK / 1300 DEF), whose ATK increases to 1600, and uses it to attack and destroy Camula's "Zombie Werewolf" (Camula: 3600 LP), but on that note, she activates its special effect: Now she can Special Summon another "Zombie Werewolf" from her Deck, with 500 more ATK (New "Zombie Werewolf's" ATK: 1700)
- Sets a card
Camula's Turn
- Summons "Vampire Bat" (800 ATK / 800 DEF) in Attack Position and activates its effect: Now all of her Zombies will gain 200 extra ATK ("Zombie Werewolf's" ATK: 1900; "Vampire Bat's" ATK: 1000)
- "Zombie Werewolf" attacks and destroys Crowler's "Ancient Gear Soldier", and then "Vampire Bat" attacks directly (Crowler: 3700, then 2700 LP).
- However, Crowler activates his facedown card: "Damage Condenser". Since he took Battle Damage, he can discard 1 card to summonj a monster with ATK equal to or less than the damage he received. Since he took 1300 damage, he can summon a monster with 1300 ATK or weaker. He summons another "Ancient Gear Soldier" (1300 ATK / 1300 DEF) from his Deck, and its ATK rises to 1600 due to "Ancient Gear Castle".
Crowler's Turn
- Tributes his "Ancient Gear Soldier" to summon his "Ancient Gear Beast" (2000 ATK / 2000 DEF) in Attack Position, and its ATK rises to 2300, because of "Ancient Gear Castle".
- "Ancient Gear Beast" attacks and destroys "Zombie Werewolf" (Camula: 3200 LP). Normally, Camula would be able to summon another "Zombie Werewolf" from her Deck, stronger than the last one destroyed, but "Ancient Gear Beast" negates the effects of any and all monsters it destroys in battle.
Camula's Turn
- Activates "Infernalvania". Now, by discarding a Zombie from her hand, she can destroy all monsters on the field. She discards "Vampire Lord", destroying all the monsters, while also using her "Vampire Bat's" effect: By sending another "Vampire Bat" from her Deck to the Graveyard, the one she controls on the field will not be destroyed by "Infernalvania".
- "Vampire Bat" attacks Crowler directly (Crowler: 1700 LP)
Crowler's Turn
- With 2 counters on "Ancient Gear Castle", Crowler can activate its second effect: By sending it to the Graveyard, he can Normal Summon an "Ancient Gear" monster that requires 2 tributes or less. As his "Ancient Gear Castle" disappears from the field, he replaces it with his "Ancient Gear Golem" (3000 ATK / 3000 DEF) in Attack Position and sends it in to attack Camula's "Vampire Bat". Even though "Vampire Bat" cannot be destroyed, due to its own effect, Camula still takes damage (Camula: 1200 LP)
- Then, he activates "Heavy Storm" and destroys all Spells and Traps on the field. However, one of the cards Crowler destroyed was "Zombie Bed". As it was destroyed while facedown, Camula can Special Summon a Zombie from her Graveyard and give it 200 more ATK, due to "Vampire Bat's" effect. "Zombie Werewolf" is summoned with an ATK of 1400.
Camula's Turn
- Activates "Book of Life", which lets her summon another Zombie from her Graveyard while removing a monster in Crowler's Graveyard from play. She summons "Vampire Lord" (2000 ATK / 1500 DEF), and removes "Ancient Gear Beast" from Crowler's Graveyard.
- She also removes "Vampire Lord" from play and summons "Vampire Genesis" (3000 ATK / 2100 DEF) in Attack Position, and "Vampire Bat" gives "Vampire Genesis" 200 more ATK. ("Vampire Genesis's" ATK: 3200)
- "Vampire Genesis" attacks "Ancient Gear Golem" (Crowler: 1500 LP), and then "Zombie Werewolf" and "Vampire Bat" attack Crowler directly (Crowler: 100, then 0 LP). Camula wins the Duel.
