Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Card Almanac is a card database video game released for the Nintendo DS in Japanese, English, French, German , Italian and Spanish. Its first English release was in Australia on the 30th November 2007. It is not actually a game, but a detailed catalog of all cards released in the TCG or OCG up until Strike of Neos. It also includes tools to aide in real-life gameplay (Life Point calculator, virtual dice roll and virtual coin flip).

Card database[edit]

The game includes a list of all Packs and Starter Decks have been released. It contains the release date of every booster packs and which cards can be found inside the pack.

The Japanese version is notable for including "Tyler the Great Warrior", a one-of-a-kind card that is not listed even on Konami's online card database.

Duelist tools[edit]

  • Virtual Calculator: When you are in a real duel, you can use the Calculator to help to remember your and opponent's Life Points.
  • Virtual Dice: Roll a Dice
  • Virtual Coin: Toss a Coin

Combos list[edit]

The game also includes a database with many combos that are used in the real world, also it includes details on every combo and how to do them.

A Mech Emerges Mechanical Hound
A Hero Emerges
If you only have "Mechanical Hound" in your hand, activate "A Hero Emerges". This will definitely let you summon the monster, and because you will have no more cards in your hand, your opponent will not be able to use any Spells.
A Pair of Zombies Robbin' Zombie
Goblin Zombie
By inflicting damage to your opponent with "Goblin Zombie", you can destroy 2 cards from your opponent's Deck. However, you will need to increase the ATK of "Goblin Zombie", as it is not very high.
Adamant Shield Big Shield Gardna
Level Limit - Area B
"Big Shield Gardna" changes into Attack Position after being attacked twice. However, it can be changed back into Defense Position with the effect of "Level Limit - Area B".
Age of Dinosaurs Generation Shift
Babycerasaurus
Use the effect of "Generation Shift" to send "Babycerasaurus" to the Graveyard. The effect of "Generation Shift" will add 1 "Babycerasaurus" to your hand and allow you to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Dinosaur-Type monster.
Alien Rebirth Cosmic Horror Gangi'el
Lightning Vortex
Autonomous Action Unit
Destroy your opponent's monster with "Lightning Vortex" and Special Summon the monster destroyed with "Autonomous Action Unit" onto your side of the field. If you use that monster as a Tribute to summon "Cosmic Horror Gangi'el", you can summon it with only 1 monster.
