9600: Effect Monster > Junk Blader
- Removing from play one "Junk" monster from your Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Junk Blader".
- The ATK-increasing effect of "Junk Blader" can be activated multiple times in one turn.
- If you activate the effect of "Junk Blader" twice, then its ATK is increased by 800.
9601: Effect Monster >
- "[[:]]" is a Special Summon monster.
- The effect of "[[:]]" which equips a monster to it is an Ignition Effect.
- The effect of "[[:]]" targets the one face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field which will be equipped to this card as an Equip Card.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9602: Effect Monster > Transforming Sphere
- The effect of "Transforming Sphere" which equips a face-up Defense Position monster to it is an Ignition Effect.
- The effect of "Transforming Sphere" targets the one monster on the opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position which will be equipped to it as an Equip Card.
9603: Effect Monster > The Tyrant Neptune
- The text "You can Tribute Summon or Set this card by Tributing 1 monster." of "The Tyrant Neptune" is a procedure for Summoning. It is not treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.
- When "The Tyrant Neptune" is successfully Tribute Summoned, its effect activates and targets one of the Tributed monster which is in the Graveyard.
- After "The Tyrant Neptune" has been Tribute Summoned and has gained the name and effects of a Tributed monster in the Graveyard, its effect does not continuously targets that monster.
- The ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" are increased by the printed ATK and DEF of the monster which was Tributed from the field.
- Example: If "Zoma the Spirit" (1800 ATK / 500 DEF) is Tributed for "The Tyrant Neptune", then the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" is increased by 1800, and its DEF is increased by 500.
- Example: If a "Rose Token" (800 ATK / 800 DEF) from "Black Garden" is Tributed for "The Tyrant Neptune", then the ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" are each increased by 800.
- Example: If a "Emissary of Darkness Token" (? ATK / ? DEF) from "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness" is Tributed for "The Tyrant Neptune", then the ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" do not increase.
9605: If "The Tyrant Neptune" is equipped with "Megamorph", then what does its ATK become?
- If "The Tyrant Neptune" is equipped with "Megamorph", then "Megamorph" will halve its Original ATK, and afterwards the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" will increase by its own effect. Thus, its Original ATK of 0 will be halved to 0, and then its ATK will increase by the total ATK of the Tributed monsters.
- If "Tragoedia" is equipped with "Megamorph", then "Tragoedia"'s Original ATK of 0 is halved to 0, and then its ATK increases by the number of cards in your hand x600.
- When activating the effect of "The Tyrant Neptune", you can only target one of the monsters which was Tributed to the Graveyard for its Tribute Summon. You cannot target a monster in the Graveyard which was Tributed for another purpose, such as for the activation cost of a different effect.
- When resolving the effect of "The Tyrant Neptune" which activates when "The Tyrant Neptune" is Tribute Summoned, if the targeted monster is not in the Graveyard - for example, the effect of "D.D. Crow" was Chained - then "The Tyrant Neptune" does not have its name changed, and it does not gain the monster's effects. Also, the effect which increases "The Tyrant Neptune"'s ATK and DEF was applied when "The Tyrant Neptune" is successfully Tribute Summoned, so the effect will continue to be applied.
9608: Does the ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" become 0 if it is negated by "Skill Drain"?
- If "Skill Drain" is active, then the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" becomes 0, and will remain at 0 even if "Skill Drain" is removed from the field.
- If you Tribute "Mosaic Manticore" for the Tribute Summon of "The Tyrant Neptune", then during your next Standby Phase you cannot activate the effect which Special Summons the monster(s) Tributed for the Tribute Summon.
1X[edit]
- The damage inflicted by the effect of "Lightning Warrior" is based on the number of cards in your opponent's hand when the effect resolves.
- Example: Your opponent has two cards in his hand, and your "Lightning Warrior" attacks your opponent's "Sangan". The effect of "Lightning Warrior" activates as Chain Link 1, and the effect of "Sangan" activates as Chain Link 2. Resolving backwards, the effect of "Sangan" adds a card to your opponent's hand, and afterwards the effect of "Lightning Warrior" resolves. At this time, your opponent has three cards in his hand, so your opponent takes 900 damage.
9611: If the monster is face-down when resolving the effect of "Transforming Sphere", then does it get equipped?
- If an effect like "Book of Moon" is Chained to the effect of "Transforming Sphere" so that the monster is face-down when resolving the effect of "Transforming Sphere", then that face-down monster is still equipped to "Transforming Sphere". The monster is equipped face-down to "Transforming Sphere", so the ATK of "Transforming Sphere" does not increase. During the End Phase, the face-down monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position.
- You can Special Summon "[[:]]" by removing from play a Token Monster, such as a "Sheep Token".
- You can remove from play a Dragon-Type Token Monster from the field to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".
- Card Rulings:Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Card Rulings:Scapegoat, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If you Tribute "Mobius the Frost Monarch" for the Tribute Summon of "The Tyrant Neptune", then after "The Tyrant Neptune" gains the effect of "Mobius the Frost Monarch" it is no longer "When this card is successfully Summoned", so you cannot activate the effect of "Mobius the Frost Monarch" which destroys up to two cards on the field.
9614: Can the effect of "Junk Blader" be activated multiple times in one turn?
- You can activate the effect of "Junk Blader" multiple times in one turn.
- If "The Tyrant Neptune" is targeted by "Shrink", then its Original ATK is halved by the effect of "Shrink", and afterwards the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" increases by its own effect. Thus, its Original ATK of 0 is halved to 0, and then its ATK increases by the ATK of the Tributed monsters.
- If you Tribute a monster owned by your opponent for the Tribute Summon of "The Tyrant Neptune" - for example, via the effect of "Soul Exchange" - then the effect of "The Tyrant Neptune" can target that monster to have "The Tyrant Neptune" gain that monster's name and effects, even though that monster is in your opponent's Graveyard.
9617: Is the effect of "Sky Scourge Invicil" applied if "The Tyrant Neptune" gains it?
- Suppose you Tribute "Sky Scourge Invicil" and a LIGHT Fairy-Type monster to Tribute Summon "The Tyrant Neptune". If you have "The Tyrant Neptune" gain the effect of "Sky Scourge Invicil", then the "● LIGHT Fairy-Type monster:" effect of "Sky Scourge Invicil" is not applied.
9618: Does "Skill Drain" negate the name and the effects gained by "The Tyrant Neptune"?
- After "The Tyrant Neptune" gains the name and effects of a monster, if "Skill Drain" is activated, then "The Tyrant Neptune" keeps its changed name. If "The Tyrant Neptune" gained a Continuous Effect, then "Skill Drain" negates that effect. If "The Tyrant Neptune" gained an Ignition, Trigger, or Quick Effect, then the effect can be activated, but "Skill Drain" will negate the effect when it resolves. Furthermore, the effect of "The Tyrant Neptune" which increases its ATK & DEF is negated, so its ATK & DEF become 0.
9619: Does the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" increase by the total ATK and DEF?
- The ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" is increased by the total ATK(s) of the Tributed monster(s); the DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" is increased by the total DEF(s) of the Tributed monster(s). You do not increase the ATK by the combined ATK and DEF.
- Example #1: "Sangan" (1000 ATK / 600 DEF) is Tributed for "The Tyrant Neptune". The ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" increases by 1000, and the DEF increases by 600. (You do not increase the ATK and DEF by 1600 each.)
- Example #2: "Sangan" (1000 ATK / 600 DEF) and "Light and Darkness Dragon" (2800 ATK / 2400 DEF) are Tributed for "The Tyrant Neptune". The ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" increases by 3800, and the DEF increases by 3000. (You do not increase the ATK and DEF by 6800 each.)
2X[edit]
9620: The ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" increases by that of the Tributed monster at what time?
- The ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" are increased by the printed ATK and DEF of the monster which was Tributed from the field.
- Example: If "The Tyrant Neptune" is Summoned by Tributing a "Beast King Barbaros" which was Summoned without Tributes (1900 ATK / 1200 DEF), then the ATK of "The Tyrant Neptune" becomes 3000, and the DEF becomes 1200. If you Tributed two copies of "Beast King Barbaros", then the ATK and DEF of "The Tyrant Neptune" will increase by 6000 and 2400, respectively.
- If "Transforming Sphere" is equipped with a monster like "Vanity's Fiend" or with a Special Summon Monster like "Dark Armed Dragon" that cannot be Special Summoned, then during the End Phase the effect to Special Summon the equipped monster to your opponent's field still activates. However, the monster cannot be Special Summoned, so it is sent to the Graveyard. Similarly, if you cannot Special Summon during the End Phase - for example, if the effect of "Vanity's Fiend" is active, or if you activated "Scapegoat" during this turn - then the effect of "Transforming Sphere" still activates during the End Phase, but the equipped monster is sent to the Graveyard since it cannot be Special Summoned.
9622: Is discarding a card for "Transforming Sphere" a cost?
- Discarding one card from your hand for "Transforming Sphere" is a effect, which occurs when resolving the effect. It is not a cost.
- When resolving the effect of "Transforming Sphere", if you cannot discard a card from your hand, then you do not apply the effect which equips an opponent's monster to it.
- When resolving the effect of "Transforming Sphere", if "Transforming Sphere" or the opponent's targeted monster is not on the field, then you still discard from your hand.
- If the effect of a monster like "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is negated by an effect like "Skill Drain" or "Forbidden Chalice", then its effect "If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the field, destroy this card." is also negated. Thus, "[[:]]" won't be destroyed if the Field Spell Card is removed from being face-up on the field.
- The effect of "[[:]]" only prevents Field Spell Cards from being destroyed by cards effects, such as that of "Heavy Storm" or "Mystical Space Typhoon". Thus, if your opponent activates a new Field Spell Card while you already have a Field Spell Card active, then your Field Spell Card is destroyed.
- Card Rulings:Heavy Storm, [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Mystical Space Typhoon
9625: Does "Judgment Dragon" destroy both "" and the Field Spell Card?
- Suppose you control "[[:]]" and a Field Spell Card. If your opponent activates an effect like that of "Demise, King of Armageddon" or "Final Destiny" or "Judgment Dragon" which would destroy "[[:]]" and the Field Spell Card simultaneously, then the Field Spell Card is not destroyed since it cannot be destroyed by card effects.
- Card Rulings:Demise, King of Armageddon, Card Rulings:Final Destiny, Card Rulings:Judgment Dragon, [[:Card Rulings:]]
9626: If the effect of "" is negated, then can other monsters attack?
- If the effect of a monster like "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is negated by an effect like "Skill Drain" or "Forbidden Chalice", then its effect which prevents your other monsters from attacking is also negated, so you can attack with a monster other than "[[:]]".
- You cannot Special Summon a Synchro Monster if it was not properly Synchro Summoned previously, such as if it was removed from play directly from the Extra Deck. Thus, you cannot use an effect like "D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation" or "Return from the Different Dimension" to Special Summon a "Stardust Dragon" which was removed from play to Special Summon "[[:]]". Also, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" are Normal Summon monsters, so they may be Special Summoned even if they are removed from play directly from the Deck.
9628: Effect Monster >
- "[[:]]" is a Special Summon monster.
- If "[[:]]" was properly Special Summoned as per its text and then sent to the Graveyard, then you can Special Summon it from the Graveyard with another card's effect.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9629: Effect Monster >
- "[[:]]" is a Special Summon monster.
- "[[:]]" cannot be Special Summoned, except by the method written on the card.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
3X[edit]
9630: Effect Monster >
- You can activate the effect of "[[:]]" even if there are no cards in the Graveyard, or no cards on the field, or no cards in the hand.
- The effect of "[[:]]" does not target.
- You choose the cards to be removed from play when resolving the effect of "[[:]]".
- The card removed from play from the hand by the effect of "[[:]]" is chosen randomly.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9631: Synchro Monster > Dragunity Knight - Barcha
- The effect of "Dragunity Knight - Barcha" which equips "Dragunity" monsters from the Graveyard to it is a Trigger Effect.
- The effect of "Dragunity Knight - Barcha" which equips monsters to it targets any number of "Dragunity" monsters in the Graveyard.
- The effect of "Dragunity Knight - Barcha" which increases its ATK by 300 per "Dragunity" monster equipped is a Continuous Effect.
- If the number of "Dragunity" monsters equipped to "Dragunity Knight - Barcha" changes, then its ATK also changes.
9632: Synchro Monster >
- The text "This card gains the following effect, depending on the number of cards in your hand." of "[[:]]" is not treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.
- If the number of cards in the hand changes, then the effect of "[[:]]" also changes.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9633: Synchro Monster >
- The effect "this card gains the following effects." of "[[:]]" is not treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.
- The "LIGHT:" effect of "[[:]]" targets one LIGHT monster in your Graveyard.
- The "Set" performed by the "LIGHT:" effect of "[[:]]" is a Special Summon.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9634: Synchro Monster > Ancient Flamvell Deity
- The effect of "Ancient Flamvell Deity" does not target.
- The effect of "Ancient Flamvell Deity" which increases its ATK by the number of cards removed x200 resolves as part of the same effect which removes from play cards from the opponent's Graveyard. This effect does not start an additional Chain Link when it is applied.
9635: Effect Monster > Naturia Exterio
- The effect of "Naturia Exterio" which negates the activation of a Spell or Trap Card can be activated during the Damage Step.
- The effect of "Naturia Exterio" which negates the activation of a Spell or Trap Card can only be activated in Chain to the activation of a card.
- Removing from play one card from your Graveyard and sending one card from your Deck to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Naturia Exterio".
- When activating the effect of "Naturia Exterio", you first remove from play one card in your Graveyard, and then you send one card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard.
- The effect of "Naturia Exterio" does not target.
9636: Effect Monster >

- The effect of "Naturia Mantis" does not target.
9642: Effect Monster > Naturia Stinkbug
- Sending a face-up "Naturia Stinkbug" to the Graveyard is a cost to activate its effect.
9643: Effect Monster > Dragunity Angusticlavii
9644: Effect Monster > Dragunity Pilum
- The effect of "Dragunity Pilum" does not target at activation.
- The effect of "Dragunity Pilum" continuously targets after "Dragunity Pilum" is equipped to the Special Summoned Winged Beast-Type monster.
- The effect of "Dragunity Pilum" which allows the equipped monster to attack directly is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card. Thus, it can be negated by effects like that of "Silent Swordsman LV7".
9645: Effect Monster > Dragunity Partisan
- The effect of "Dragunity Partisan" does not target at activation.
- The effect of "Dragunity Partisan" continuously targets after "Dragunity Partisan" is equipped to the Special Summoned Winged Beast-Type monster.
- The effect of "Dragunity Partisan" which treats the equipped monster as a Tuner is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card. Thus, it can be negated by effects like that of "Silent Swordsman LV7".
9646: Effect Monster > Dragunity Corsesca
- None of the text of "Dragunity Corsesca" is treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.
- The effect of "Dragunity Corsesca" which draws a card [sic] is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card. Thus, it can be negated by effects like that of "Silent Swordsman LV7".
9647: Effect Monster >
- The text "You can Tribute 1 "Fabled" monster to Tribute Summon this card in face-up Attack Position." of "[[:]]" is not treated as the effect of an Effect Monster.
- You can Tribute a face-down "Fabled" monster to Tribute Summon "[[:]]".

- The effect of "Neo Flamvell Shaman" targets one card in the opponent's Graveyard.

9658: Effect Monster > Neo Flamvell Hedgehog
- The effect of "Neo Flamvell Hedgehog" which removes from play a card from the Graveyard targets one card in the opponent's Graveyard.
- The effect of "Neo Flamvell Hedgehog" which adds a FIRE monster with 200 DEF or less to your hand targets one monster in your Graveyard.
- The effect of "Neo Flamvell Hedgehog" which adds a FIRE monster from your Graveyard to your hand can also be activated during the Damage Step.

6X[edit]
9660: Synchro Monster >
- Discarding one card from your hand is a cost to activate the effect of "[[:]]".
- The effect of "[[:]]" targets one Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard.
- The effect of "[[:]]" which doubles the monster's ATK is resolved as part of the same effect which Special Summons the monster. It does not start an additional Chain Link.
- The effect of "[[:]]" which removes from play the monster during the End Phase is resolved as part of the same effect which Special Summons the monster and doubles its ATK. It does not start an additional Chain Link.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9661: If "Neo Flamvell Shaman" cannot remove from play, then does it also not inflict damage?
- When resolving the effect of "Neo Flamvell Shaman", if you cannot remove from play the targeted card from your opponent's Graveyard, then you also do not inflict 500 damage to your opponent's Life Points.
- The effect of "Naturia White Oak" cannot be activated during the Damage Step.
- The effect of "Naturia White Oak" which Special Summons two "Naturia" monsters must be Chained directly to the activation of an opponent's effect.
9663: Can the effect of "Naturia Exterio" be activated multiple times in the same Chain?
- The effect of "Naturia Exterio" may be activated multiple times in the same Chain.
- If "Naturia Exterio" is not face-up on the field when its effect resolves - for example, "Book of Moon" or "Compulsory Evacuation Device" was Chained to the effect - then the activation of the Spell/Trap Card is not negated.
9665: Does the effect of "Ancient Flamvell Deity" target?
- The effect of "Ancient Flamvell Deity" does not target. You choose the cards to be removed from play when resolving the effect.
9666: If the opponent negates the activation of an opponent's card, then can "" be Special Summoned?
- If your opponent negates the activation of a card that he activated, then you cannot Special Summon "[[:]]".
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9667: When does "" check the Attribute of the monster returned to the hand?
- For "[[:]]" to gain 500 ATK, the monster returned to the hand only has to be a WIND monster while on the field. Thus, if "[[:]]" returns to the hand a WATER monster which is being treated as a WIND monster by the effect of "DNA Transplant", then the ATK of "[[:]]" will increase.
- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:DNA Surgery
9668: Can you return a card to your opponent's hand to activate the effect of ""?

- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Mist Valley Shaman
9669: Can you activate the effect of "" while "Degenerate Circuit" is active?
- If "Battle Fader" or "Plaguespreader Zombie" was Special Summoned by its own effect, then it is removed from play when it is removed from the field. Thus, you cannot activate the effect of "[[:]]" by returning such a monster to the hand. Also, if "Degenerate Circuit" is active, then you cannot return cards to the hand, so you cannot activate the effect of a card like "[[:]]" or "Mist Valley Shaman".
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
7X[edit]
- You can activate the effect of "[[:]]" even if you cannot remove from play cards from the Graveyard, such as if the effect of "Necrovalley" or "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer" is active. However, if the effect of "Necrovalley" is active, then you cannot remove from play a card from the Graveyard, but you can still remove from play up to one card from each of the other two places (the hand and field). Furthermore, you still cannot remove from play a card from the Graveyard even if you choose to remove from play "Necrovalley" or "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer".
- Card Rulings:Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, Card Rulings:Necrovalley, [[:Card Rulings:]]
9671: Can "Future Fusion" Special Summon "Naturia Exterio"?
- "Future Fusion" cannot Special Summon a Fusion Monster that lists a Synchro Monster or a Fusion Monster as a Fusion Material. Thus, "Naturia Exterio" cannot be Special Summoned by "Future Fusion". Furthermore, when you activate "Future Fusion", you cannot choose "Naturia Exterio" as the monster to be Special Summoned.
9672: [Damage Step] Can the effect of "" be activated in the Damage Step?
- The effect of "[[:]]" is activated after fully resolving a Chain involving you negating the activation of a card your opponent controls.
- The effect of "[[:]]" cannot be activated if an opponent's card's activation is negated during the Damage Step.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9673: Can the effect of "" just remove from play one card?
- You can choose to have the effect of "[[:]]" only remove from play one card from one place (the field or the hand or the Graveyard).
- If you activate the effect of "[[:]]", then you must remove from play at least one card.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9674: Are the "Special Summon" and "equip" effects of "Dragunity Partisan" performed at the same time?
- The effect of "Dragunity Partisan" which Special Summons a Winged Beast-Type monster is not treated as resolving at the same time as the effect which equips "Dragunity Partisan" to that monster.
- If "Dragunity Primus Pilus" is Special Summoned by "Dragunity Partisan", then afterwards "Dragunity Partisan" is equipped to "Dragunity Primus Pilus", so the effect of "Dragunity Primus Pilus" cannot be activated.
9675: Can the effect of "" be activated even if there are no cards in the Graveyard, etc?
- You can activate the effect of "[[:]]" even if there are no cards in the Graveyard, or no cards on the field, or no cards in the hand. In this case, you can still remove from play one card from each of the places that still contain cards.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9676: When you remove a card from the hand with "", is it done at random?
- The card removed from play from the hand by the effect of "[[:]]" is chosen randomly. You do not get to check your opponent's hand when the effect resolves. However, after the effect resolves, you can check which card was removed from play.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9677: Is "Spirit Reaper" destroyed if it is exchanged by "Creature Swap"?
- The effect of "Creature Swap" does not target the monsters that change control. If "Creature Swap" is activated and you select to change control of a face-up "Spirit Reaper", then "Spirit Reaper" is not destroyed.
9678: If "Book of Moon" is Chained to "Sakuretsu Armor", then is the attacking monster destroyed?
- If "Book of Moon" is used on an attacking monster, then that monster is no longer considered to be an attacking monster. Thus, if "Book of Moon" is Chained to an effect like "Dimensional Prison" or "Sakuretsu Armor" and changes the monster to face-down Defense Position, then the effect of "Sakuretsu Armor" does not resolves, so the attacking monster is not destroyed (or removed from play, and so on).
9679: If "Call of the Haunted" is negated by "Royal Decree", then is the monster destroyed?
- After "Call of the Haunted" Special Summons a monster, if "Call of the Haunted" is negated by an effect like "Royal Decree" or "Trap Stun", then the Special Summoned monster remains on the field and is not destroyed. "Call of the Haunted" also remains on the field, even though its effect is negated. If the effect of "Royal Decree" or "Trap Stun" is no longer applied, then the effect of "Call of the Haunted" is re-applied, so the Special Summoned monster would be destroyed if "Call of the Haunted" is removed from the field.
8X[edit]
9680: What happens if you negate the effect of a card that has Spell Counters on it?
- If an effect like "Skill Drain" negates the effect of a card like "Breaker the Magical Warrior" or "Royal Magical Library", then all Spell Counters are removed from the monster.
9681: [Tokens] Can "Book of Moon" be activated by targeting a Token Monster?
- Token Monsters, like the "Sheep Token", cannot be flipped face-down. Thus, you cannot activate "Book of Moon" by targeting a "Sheep Token".
9682: [Damage Step] Can the effect of "Stardust Dragon" negate the effect of "Ally of Justice Catastor"? The effect of "Stardust Dragon" which negates the activation of an effect which destroys can also be activated during the Damage Step.
- Example: If the effect of "Ally of Justice Catastor" activates during the Damage Step, then the effect of "Stardust Dragon" may be Chained to negate the activation of "Ally of Justice Catastor"'s effect and destroy it.
- The effect of "Skill Drain" only negates the effects of face-up monsters. Thus, effects that activate in the Graveyard - like the effects of "Sangan" or "Pyramid Turtle" - are not negated by "Skill Drain".
9684: Can monsters like "Dark Armed Dragon" and "Judgment Dragon" be Special Summoned from the Graveyard?
- A monster like "Dark Armed Dragon" or "Judgment Dragon" cannot be Special Summoned, except by the method stated in its text. It cannot be Special Summoned by effects like "Monster Reborn", even if it was properly Special Summoned beforehand. Also, you cannot Special Summon "Dark Armed Dragon" from the Graveyard even if there are exactly three DARK monsters in the Graveyard.
9685: Can the effect of "Skill Drain" negate Flip Effects?
- If "Skill Drain" is active, then you also negate the effects of Flip Effect Monsters which were flipped to being face-up on the field. Also, if a face-down Flip Effect Monster is attacked and flipped by battle, then even if it is destroyed by battle, then it is still face-up on the field when its Flip Effect activates after Damage Calculation, so the effect will be negated by "Skill Drain".
9686: Synchro Monster > Stygian Sergeants
9687: Effect Monster > Stygian Security
9688: Effect Monster > Samurai Sword Baron
- The effect of "Samurai Sword Baron" targets one monster which is in Defense Position on the opponent's side of the field.
- If "Samurai Sword Baron" changes a Flip Effect Monster to face-up Attack Position, then the monster's Flip Effect activates.
9689: Effect Monster > Stygian Street Patrol
- Removing from play "Stygian Street Patrol" from the Graveyard is a cost to activate its effect which Special Summons.

9691: Can you activate the effect of "Stygian Security" even if you don't have any monsters in your Deck?
- If you do not have any Level 1 Fiend-Type monsters in your Deck, then you cannot activate the effect of "Stygian Security".
9692: Can you activate the effect of "Stygian Sergeants" if it cannot attack a second time?
- You cannot activate the effect of "Stygian Sergeants" if "Stygian Sergeants" cannot attack again when the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard - for example, if your opponent only controls "Earthbound Immortal Aslla piscu".
9693: Must "Stygian Sergeants" attack if you activate its effect?
- After you activate the effect of "Stygian Sergeants", you can decide whether or not "Stygian Sergeants" continues to attack one more time. You can activate the effect and choose to have "Stygian Sergeants" not attack again.
- If "Stygian Street Patrol" destroys a like a "Sheep Token" or "Embodiment of Apophis" by battle, then you do not inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points.
- The damage inflicted by the effect of "Stygian Street Patrol" is 100x the destroyed monster's original Level, while it is in the Graveyard.
9696: If "" is flipped face-down, then what does its ATK become?
- If "[[:]]" is flipped face-down by an effect like "Book of Moon", then its ATK-increasing effect is no longer applied, even if "[[:]]" later becomes face-up. Thus, the ATK of "[[:]]" will no longer be increased once it becomes face-up.
- Card Rulings:Book of Moon, [[:Card Rulings:]]
9697: What is the ATK of "" while "Skill Drain" is active?
- If "Skill Drain" affects "[[:]]" after "[[:]]" increases its ATK by its own effect, then the ATK of "[[:]]" becomes the printed ATK of 2500. Afterwards, the ATK of "[[:]]" will remain at 2500 even if "Skill Drain" is removed from the field or if its effect is no longer applied.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9698: Does the ATK of "" increase if something like a Token Monster was used as a Fusion Material?
- The ATK of "[[:]]" is increased by half of the original ATK of the Fusion Material Monster.
- If you use a "Double Dude Token" (1000 ATK) from "Destiny Hero - Double Dude" as a Fusion Material Monster for "[[:]]", then the ATK of "[[:]]" is increased by 500.
- If you use a "Embodiment of Apophis" (1600 ATK) being treated as a Warrior-Type monster by "DNA Surgery" as a Fusion Material Monster for "[[:]]", then the ATK of "[[:]]" is increased by 800.
