The start of the next Duel of the Battle City Finals is about to begin. Joey Wheeler is selected to face against Odion Ishtar, who has tricked everyone into thinking that he is in fact Marik Ishtar. For the purposes of the duel, Marik has placed a copy of the "Winged Dragon of Ra" card into Odion's Deck.

Once Odion gets two more set Magic and Trap Cards out onto his field, Joey would then activate "Giant Trunade" to get rid of all of Odion's Magic and Trap Cards. This would allow Joey's monsters to attack Odion directly and win him the Duel. Joey draws "Tiny Guardian" and subsequently Normal Summons it in Attack Position (1400/1800).

However Joey activates his set Quick-Play Magic Card "Fairy Box" which hides "Alligator's Sword within a whack-a-mole box before the attack strikes. "Rocket Warrior's" attack strikes, but the attack misses, so "Alligator's Sword" is safe. The whack-a-mole box then disappears. Odion activates 3 Continuous Trap Cards "Embodiment of Apophis" to Special Summon them in Attack Position (1600/1800 for each).

Duel continues next episode.

Changes to the English Version

  • In the US version, "Giant Trunade" is shown traveling across the screen in front of Odion's face as he explains what happened.
  • Right after Mai's close-up, a shot of Odion looking fierce in the US version replaces a shot of Yugi, Mai and Tea's backs. Note that the shot of Odion is reversed—his tattoo's on the wrong side of his face.
  • A shot of Joey getting all wound up is cut from the US version.
  • A shot of the gang reacting to Jounouchi's boasts is cut from the US version.
  • The words "To Be Continued" are added at the end of the dub episode.
