"Encode Talker" attacks "Twin Triangle Dragon". By the effect of "Beltlink Wall Dragon", Playmaker's monsters are only allowed to target "Beltlink Wall Dragon". The attack fails (Playmaker: 4000 → 3900 LP). As Playmaker took Battle Damage, he Special Summons "[[Interrupt Resistor (anime)|Interrupt Resistor]]" by its own effect in Defense Position. Due to its effect, the ATK of "Interrupt Resistor" becomes equal to the Battle Damage received ("Interrupt Resistor": 0 → 100/2100).

Featured Duels

Playmaker vs. Revolver

Duel continues from the previous episode. Playmaker controls no monsters, has one Set card and has 300 LP remaining.

Revolver controls "Topologic Bomber Dragon" in the Extra Monster Zone and "Dragonoid Generator" in the Spell & Trap Zone, has one set card and has 100 LP remaining

Turn 3: Revolver
Revolver just destroyed "Decode Talker" and the effect of "Topologic Bomber Dragon" activates which would inflict damage to Playmaker equal to the original ATK of "Decode Talker". Since an effect is activated that would inflict damage to Playmaker is activated, Playmaker activates his set "Link Restart" to negate the effect and Special Summon 1 Link Monster from his GY. Playmaker Special Summons "Decode Talker". During the End Phase, the effect of "Dragonoid Generator" activates, Special Summoning "Dragonoid Tokens" to Playmaker's field equal to the number of "Dragonoid Tokens" Summoned by Revolver this turn. One Draconoid Token is Special Summoned.

Turn 4: Playmaker
Playmaker draws. Playmaker activates his Skill "Storm Access", which allows him to randomly access a card from a Data Storm when his LP is 1000 or less. Playmaker obtains "Firewall Dragon" and adds it to his Extra Deck.

Revolver activates his set "Remote Rebirth‎‎", to target a monster in Playmaker's GY and Special Summon it to Playmaker's Main Monster Zone that a Link Monster Revolver controls is pointing to. Revolver targets and Special Summons "Capacitor Stalker" to the Top Link Point of "Topologic Bomber Dragon". As a monster was Special Summoned to the Link Point of a Link Monster while it is on the field, the effect of "Topologic Bomber Dragon" activates, destroying all monsters in the Main Monster Zones. The "Draconoid Token", "Decode Talker" and "Capacitor Stalker" are destroyed. As "Capacitor Stalker" is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the GY, each player takes 800 damage (Playmaker: 300 → 0 LP; Revolver: 100 → 0 LP).

Revolver vs. Playmaker

The Duel is conducted as a Master Duel.

Turn 1: Revolver
Revolver activates "Fire Prison". Every Dragon-type monster gains 300 DEF. In addition, a player can only summon Link Monsters, if their Link number is equal to or greater than the Link Monster on the field with the highest Link number. Plus, only Link Monsters can attack, and "Fire Prison" cannot be destroyed by other card effects. Revolver Normal Summons "Sniffer Dragon" (800 ATK, Level 2), and due to its effect, he adds a copy of "Sniffer Dragon" to his hand. He activates "Quick Revolve", Special Summoning a "varrett" monster from his Deck. He chooses "Magnavarrett Dragon" (1800 ATK, Level 4). Using "Sniffer Dragon" and "Magnavarrett Dragon", Revolver Link Summons "Twin Triangle Dragon" (ATK 1200, Link 2). Since a Dragon-type Link Monster was Special Summoned, Revolver Special Summons "Beltlink Wall Dragon" from his hand (DEF 2100). Since it was summoned, "Beltlink Wall Dragon" gains 2 Wall Counters; due to its effect, neither player can summon Link Monsters, whose Link number is higher than the number of Wall Counters. In addition, only Link Monsters can attack. With the effect of "Fire Prison", "Beltlink Wall Dragon" gains 300 DEF (DEF 2100 → 2400).

Turn 2: Playmaker
Playmaker draws. During the Standby Phase, "Beltlink Wall Dragon" gains 1 Wall Counter (Wall Counter on "Beltlink Wall Dragon": 2 → 3). As Playmaker doesn't control any monsters, he Special Summons "Linkslayer" (2000/600) by its own effect. As Playmaker controls a Cyberse monster on the field, he can Special Summon "Backup Secretary" (1200/800) by its own effect. Playmaker then Normal Summons "Stack Reviver" (100/600).

Playmaker uses "Backup Secretary", "Linkslayer" and "Stack Reviver" to Link Summon "Encode Talker" (2300/LINK-3/↑↓↘) to the Extra Monster Zone. As "Stack Reviver" was used as a Link Material for a Link Summon, Playmaker activates its effect, to target one other Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster in the GY that was used for that same Link Summon and Special Summon it. Playmaker targets and Special Summons "Backup Secretary" in Defense Position.

"Encode Talker" attacks "Twin Triangle Dragon". By the effect of "Beltlink Wall Dragon", Playmaker's monsters are only allowed to target "Beltlink Wall Dragon". The attack fails (Playmaker: 4000 → 3900 LP). As Playmaker took Battle Damage, he Special Summons "Interrupt Resistor" by its own effect in Defense Position. Due to its effect, the ATK of "Interrupt Resistor" becomes equal to the Battle Damage received ("Interrupt Resistor": 0 → 100/2100).

Playmaker activates the Spell Card "Cyberse Cache". As Playmaker controls a Cyberse monster whose current ATK is different from its original ATK, he can draw 2 cards. Currently, "Interrupt Resistor" has 100 ATK, and an original ATK of 0. Playmaker sets a card.

Turn 3: Revolver
Revolver draws. During the Standby Phase, "Beltlink Wall Dragon" gains 1 Wall Counter (Wall Counters on "Beltlink Wall Dragon": 3 → 4). Revolver Normal Summons "Autovarrett Dragon".

Revolver uses the Link-2 "Twin Triangle Dragon" and "Autovarrett Dragon" to Link Summon "Three Burst Blast Dragon" (2400/LINK-3/↑←↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. By the effect of "Beltlink Wall Dragon", as Revolver Link Summoned a monster with a Link Number less than the number of Wall Counters on "Beltlink Wall Dragon", it loses 2 Wall Counters (Wall Counters on "Beltlink Wall Dragon": 4 → 2).

"Three Burst Blast Dragon" attacks "Backup Secretary". Playmaker activates the effect of "Encode Talker". As "Backup Secretary" at the Bottom-Right Link Point of "Encode Talker" is battling an opponent with higher ATK, Playmaker can make "Backup Secretary" be unable to be destroyed by battle, and the battle damage become 0. Revolver activates the effect of "Three Burst Blast Dragon". Once per turn, during the Battle Step, when Playmaker activates a card or effect when "Three Burst Blast Dragon" battles, Revolver can negate that effect. Playmaker activates the effect of "Interrupt Resistor". When Playmaker's Defense Position monster is targeted for an attack, Playmaker can make the attacked monster's DEF become equal to the DEF of "Interrupt Resistor" and prevent its destruction by battle ("Backup Secretary": 1200/800 → 2100). The effect of "Three Burst Blast Dragon" allows it to deal piercing battle damage (Playmaker: 3900 → 3600 LP).

During the End Phase, the effect of "Interrupt Resistor" expires ("Backup Secretary": 1200/2100 → 800).

Turn 4: Playmaker
Playmaker draws. During the Standby Phase, "Beltlink Wall Dragon" gains 1 Wall Counter (Wall Counter on "Beltlink Wall Dragon": 2 → 3). Playmaker Normal Summons "Balancer Lord" (1700/1200).

Playmaker uses "Balancer Lord", "Interrupt Resistor" and "Backup Secretary" to Link Summon "Decode Talker" (2300/LINK-3/↙↑↘) to the Bottom Link Point of "Encode Talker". "Decode Talker" gains 500 ATK for each monster linked to it. "Decode Talker" is linked to "Encode Talker" at its Top Link Point, so "Decode Taker" gains 500 ATK. ("Decode Talker": 2300 → 2800).

Revolver activates the effect of the Field Spell "Fire Prison" as there are 2 or more Cyberse Link Monsters on the field. As long as "Fire Prison" is on the field, Cyberse monsters in each player's hand, field or GY have their effects negated, cannot attack, nor be targeted for attacks or card effects, also any attack to a player that only controls Cyberse monsters become direct attacks.

Duel continues in the next episode.
