Featured Card

I was wondering, would it be a problem for me to do an article on 3 cards at once? Of course, they wouldn't be random cards. If it wasn't a problem, is there a way to fit the images of all 3 cards in the same space? DemonGodAsura 08:16, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Awesome, thank you. It'll be the cards "Hero Blast", "Gemini Spark" and "Elemental Hero Neos Alius". I figured that it would be a good idea to feature older cards that our younger visitors could get behind now that they've won a major event. Curious

This isn't really important, and I'm asking out of sheer curiosity. I just created redirects so that "Alpha the Magnet Warrior" and "Gamma the Magnet Warrior" redirect to "Alpha The Magnet Warrior" and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior", respectively. I noticed that TTF had deleted previous versions of both pages back in '06. Was there some sort of anti-redirect policy in the wiki's earlier history or something? Once again excuse me for butting in but the issue Cheesedude raised greatly concerns me as well and I was intending to ask you about it. While translating card names, I became interested in the original English translations of the Japanese names (e.g. Dark Magician -> Black Magician) and thus I recently began creating redirects named after these translations. However I have noticed more often than not that many administrators (you included) have deleted past redirect pages with no explanation. Of course most of these cases have hapenned years ago but in a much recent one, only a few months ago PoirotH deleted a redirect I created (Necklace of Supplantation) which is the OCG name of the card Amulet of Ambition. I did not really care back then but as I mentioned above in my message I have started to actively create redirects and I wish to know more about the Wikia's policy towards them. --Montechristo95 ^{talk • count} 19:51, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

I wasn't around in 2006. TwoTailedFox used to delete a lot of redirects from misspellings, miscapitalisations and mispunctuations once they'd been delinked. I guess he only wanted "official" redirects, even if an unofficial one was a likely search term. Not necessarily the best option in all cases, but you can understand why someone would do it. I think he has since changed his mind.

I've deleted redirects from Japanese translated names after page moves in the past because I'd seen him doing it before. Although he did later say on IRC that translated Japanese names should redirect. Looking back now at the redirects from translated names that he deleted, they were redirects left from Deus Ex Machina moving pages to what he described as the "Official name". I guess that gave TwoTailedFox the wrong idea and deleted the redirects in light of only using official ones.

I'm guessing PoirotH deleted that page because it was a broken redirect. You redirected to Necklace of Ambition, not Amulet of Ambition. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:36, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Interesting. I suppose I can sort of see why he'd do that, but it all around seems like a bad idea to me. I recall seeing in early edit history that we didn't originally have a translated name parameter and instead listed that name on the card trivia page. I'm sort of glad I wasn't here back then, since I think it's likely that I would have caused a lot of things that TTF might have perceived as "problems." Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Manga...

I am curious why so many pages in this site have all Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Manga but not fill out what happened to them nor have fill out of their duel, like all other show/manga have done already? I just checked the chapter 47 and only showed an image and short summary of that chapter. At same time, Johan/Jesse was showing lose to opponents at same chapter. This user; 198.209.42.9, told me that I am wrong about "Elemental Hero Neos" is Judai's either Ace or Symbol Card. I declared Neos being his ace, while that unregistered user declared him as Judai's Symbol. Which one do you think is best suit for Neos? Fake picture strike again

I just found other fake picture, and it was continuous putting in Dance Princess of the Ice Barrier front page, which I recently removed. Since you have moved the page of "Shooting Star Dragon" fake version, it however disappeared from your Contribution page when I tried to look for it. People putting sections on the wrong forum pages

Hey again. Thie has been bugging me for a while. I notice a lot that a lot of sections are in the wrong forum pages (maily the Forum:General Yu-Gi-Oh! Discussion page. Usually, I post on there to redirect where such a section should go next time. This is mainly because I do not know how to move it myself. Could you tell me? But, did we ever get a good reason to not add all Monsters with "ウォリアー" in their Japanese names to the Warriors Archetype page? It seems like an inconsistency since we have plenty of Sphere Monsters that aren't actually Spheres but have the right text in their original names, and we consider Mechanical Spider and Oscillo Hero to be Karakuri and Elecs respectively. OK, that makes sense, but what about Kunoichi, Japanese name Kunoichi Warrior, and Laval Warrior. They're not used by Yusei, admittedly, but they were both released after the Warrior archetype existed and both have "ウォリアー" in their Japanese names, so shouldn't they be added? We have Blizzard Warrior added, after all, so doesn't that set a precedent that all cards with Warrior spelled "ウォリアー" released from the OCG's sixth series and beyond are Warriors? --Blackstone Dresden (talk • contribs) 17:01, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

I know nothing at all about katakana, but according to Laval Warrior's page, his Japanese name is written in kana, so I'd say he fits the pattern of "(name in katakana) ウォリアー" though Kunoichi should at least get a mention for being a Monster with "ウォリアー" in its name released with the rest of the Warriors, in my opinion. --Blackstone Dresden (talk • contribs) 19:55, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
