RE: Lord Percius

Yes, it was spell like that in the closed caption. Proof, at first, I searched Percius for a reference or clue on the name, but nothing came up expect for Perseus. I went with closed caption name instead of the mythological hero. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 18:23, April 1, 2013 (UTC)

Question

Hey Delt, I've managed to write out most of the arc for this page (wasted a lot of edits doing it, and I still need to write out the last few parts), and was wondering if you could add a fitting image and template for it, along with the episode listing. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 14:07, April 6, 2013 (UTC)

Cool, nice work. Added the infobox and listing. The arc covers a few different things; Ghost, Duel Academy stuff, Crash Town and the intro to the WRGP, so it is difficult to pick an image. I'd probably go with something from the corresponding opening or ending, "FREEDOM" or "-OZONE-". -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:34, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
That or "Eyecatch" scene. --iFredCat 14:42, April 6, 2013 (UTC)

RE: yugioh-card.com/de/ release dates

So, I did a little research.

Booster Releasedate in Germany Konami's date
Galactic Overlord 08.05.12 10.05.12
Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World 02.10.12 27.09.12
Return of the Duelist 24.08.12 23.08.12
Battle Pack: Epic Dawn 24.05.12 24.05.12
Return of the Duelist: Special Edition 25.09.12 20.09.12
Order of Chaos 19.01.12 19.01.12

Dunkles Magiermädchen (talkcontribs) 17:21, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

I think whichever came first. I got the dates from a magazine, but it doesn't specifically mention in which language the boosters were released, so I can't say anything for sure. Dunkles Magiermädchen (talkcontribs) 16:57, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

Avatar fanon

Hello. I saw you deleted the fanfic after I posted it. I tried again so that I could copy paste it instead of wasting another half hour typing it, as long as I delete it afterwards is it alright? it would take like 2 minutes.

67.142.172.22 (talk) 22:46, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, sorry about that. You mean you want the content of the page, so you don't have to type it again? Okay, it was as follows:
   Korra Meets Yu-Gi-Oh

Chapter 1

It was a beautiful morning in Republic City. The sun shone on a house that was right next to where the pro bending arena used to be. It was a three story house with a basement. Quite a few people lived in this house. The base floor contained a living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large dining room. The second floor was the boys floor. There were 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a hangout room. In each of the bedrooms there were 2 beds. The third floor had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a girl's themed hangout room. 2 of the 3 bedrooms only had one bed while one of them had 2. Korra has a pet polar bear dog named Naga. She slept in Korra's room and she would growl at anyone to threaten her master. The story of Korra's adventure to another world shall be told soon.

End Chapter 1

Yo, Delt. I think you are interested in DM, right? Do you have a NAC account? If "yes" for both, would you mind checking this if you got some time? It's not a big deal, but I imagined you'd be a good help. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:36, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

Number hunters

Hey Deltaneos, do you know what the deal is with that new pack "Number Hunters". Is it actually going to have 6 new chaos xyz monsters?--Computer Bug (talkcontribs) 00:51, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Spellbinding Circle

Actually, it's not the same thing. "Jubaku" has been translated as "curse" in "Curse of the Circle". Also, "Spellbinding" is a misinterpretation of what "jubaku" is. 'Ju' means 'spell', and 'baku' means 'bind'. However, this is generally used to refer to a curse or spell. "Spellbinding" implies that the spells are being bound, not that the spells are doing the binding. 31.11.101.253 (talk) 21:09, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

Apparently, we use "spellbinding" to refer to something alluring and enchanting. I don't think that that's what the Japanese were going for with "jubaku." 31.11.101.253 (talk) 21:25, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I had, as you guessed, mistaken "spellbinding" to also mean "binding by spell". "Curse of the Hexagram" is fine by me. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:56, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

Preview videos

Would it be good to insert into the video library the previews of the episodes, then onto the articles? Just asking, if it could violate the copyright. Energy X 22:04, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I've wondered about this before. The previews are copyrighted, but people may argue that they're advertisements, so posting them in more places is helping. But I think, technically, only copyright holders can choose where their work can be posted and other people can't make that decision without their consent, even if they think it's beneficial. Realistically, I don't think NAS, TV Tokyo, 4Kids etc. would mind (not positive though). If they do, they'll probably just ensure that we take them down. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:12, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Unbanning - Cd5464

Hey delta. I was just wondering if you'd be willing to try talking to ttf about unbanning me. I learned my lesson. Please talk to him. It seems like he ignores my requests. Problem

Per this screencap, my edits are not visible on the Recent Changes page, even though only bot edits are hidden. Wonder what's up with that.

Any ideas? Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 18:18, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

...and then the message I left on your talk page shows up, but nothing else. Is it a glitch on my end, perhaps? Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 18:20, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

I assume you mean the one on the Trivia page for Morphing Jar? If so, it's showing for me. :S --Spongebob456 Talk 18:39, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
Except I've made several edits since that one, and none of them (INCLUDING that one) has shown up on my end. The only ones that show are the edits I'm making to Delta's talk right now. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 18:49, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
Are you still having this problem? If so, is it happening on other wikis too? I've been able to find all of your edits that I've looked for, including ones missing in that screenshot, on the recent changes. The only thing I can think of right now would be that you've accidentally clicked on "Hide my edits", but it's obvious from the screenshot that you haven't. -- Deltaneos (talk) 18:18, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

IP-Addressed User edits with no comments

Over at the Gusto page, I keep seeing the Hurricane Tyranno deck suggestion (which is a Daigusto Sphreeze OTK variant) repeatedly being deleted by an IP-Addressed User in the 118.137.x.x range with no comments as to why. FredCat100 called them on it once and I've done so again asking for at least an explanation for the deletion, but it keeps happening. If the deck is bad, then sure I can understand the deletion. But no other deck is touched and no reason is ever given.

I don't know my Wikia code well enough to put the direct comparison hyperlink in short form but its: http://yugioh.wikia.com/index.php?title=Gusto&diff=2426897&oldid=2423572

Could you please take a look and see if this is just overzealous editing by the IP-Addressed User? If you agree that it's legitimate for the IP-Addressed User to delete it, then I'll stop restoring it; I just haven't known either way because no comments are ever left to justify the edit.

-- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 16:20, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't say they're necessarily wrong in removing it, but they should really be giving a reason.
I would suggest asking them on their talk page why they keep removing it, but you've already tried that. And since their IP keeps changing, we don't know if they'll read it. You can add a hidden text notice somewhere in the code that will be visible to someone about to remove the section. Something like <!-- Please don't remove this section without explaining why. -->
I personally think we need to be stricter about Deck type submissions in the article space. But I don't see why they're singling that particular one out. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:39, April 28, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your advice: I will remember that code for future reference for other articles I'm watching to help upkeep. I think though for the sake of keeping the peace I'll stop putting the deck back until I've had a chance to work it over myself to gauge its effectiveness following the next set release. -- TheDesertRunner (talkcontribs) 15:16, April 29, 2013 (UTC)

Joining the community

Excuse me kindly, I was told to speak to you on behalf of joining this wiki's community. Was I advised correctly? --93.138.186.82 (talk) 17:14, May 6, 2013 (UTC)-Hawk00Refferencer

You have been helping the wiki, with your contributions. That makes you already part of the community. The work you've done is appreciated. If you're interested in creating an account, you can do so at Special:CreateAccount. That's useful, but optional. Obviously if you do that, you get to have all your edits recorded into an account, rather than your IPs. You also get other benefits, like the abilities to rename pages and upload images.
You asked about becoming an admin here. To become an admin, it is mandatory to create an account. You can then be nominated at Project:Requests for adminship. If you do, other users will evaluate you on things like experience on the wiki and knowledge of adminship. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:47, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

RE:聖魂 (サイコ)

Yes, it does. Buuuuut, that's something pretty common nowadays; they give a meaning in Kanji and another one in Furigana, with the exact intention of giving it a kinda "hidden second meaning". Just to give one example, in one of the 1st Yu-Gi-Oh chapters, the TV guy says that Yugi would be his next "star", with the hidden meaning of "target/victim", doing the same furigana thing. But in these cases the furigana is what counts. That's why we call the "BFs" "Black Feathers", for example. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:13, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Manga name for Wheel of Fortune

I don't have all of 5D's Viz's volumes, but as far as I can tell, they never mentioned it in the manga. When I added Goodwin's D-Wheel to the article I didn't know Jack's D-Wheel's name was different in the dub, so, as in 5D's manga they use the dub names, I guess I'm gonna change it to the dub name. U Jelly?

Absorbs ligtning attacks, gaining ATK and DEF.
I see two mistakes; It's Lightnings, not Ligtning. And second, does OCG/TCG have that effect for real? It's Jellyfish, and you're welcome. --iFredCat 01:48, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, fixed it now. Thank you. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:51, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
Two more mistakes, not sure if you noticed - "Stop Defense" articles are switched; OCG/TCG are Spell Card, not Continuous Trap and you misspelled "Magician" in "Magical Hat" article. You're welcome again. --iFredCat 01:56, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
One more thing; "Critter" was a Normal Monster in Manga - you maybe shall add that in the list. If you left that blank, many people would mistaking that as if Critter was still an effect monster in the Manga... --iFredCat 02:07, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Rename stuffs

Thank you for pick up the notice. So should we go to revert all those articles back to their original released names or what is on your mind about them? (After all, that was also Master D who asked to moving them in first place...) --iFredCat 23:50, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

Bump, just in case if you have not seen it. --iFredCat 14:21, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Which names specifically? -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:31, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Pyrallis, the Blazing Purple Dragon and Felgrand the Divine Dragon Knight; from what I have known so far. After all, TwoTailedFox distrusted Master D's "source" and was told to banning on sight. Those two are known as "Purple Dragon FlameThrower" and "Divine Dragoon Felgrand" respective before UltimateKuriboh and I moved them to current (linked) names. --iFredCat 14:49, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
"Pyrallis, the Blazing Purple Dragon" and "Felgrand the Divine Dragon Knight" are much more accurate translations than "Purple Dragon FlameThrower" and "Divine Dragoon Felgrand".
TwoTailedFox banned him for his behaviour and because he continued to edit from from other IPs, while he was banned. I don't think he ever commented on the accuracy of Master D's sources. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:41, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Well, Cheesedude detected him as Master D and said that he evaded the ban - I am sure that you could know by see Cheese's Talk Page (the one with 31.whatever topic). --iFredCat 22:55, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
I know it was him, but the names he suggested were still more accurate than the previous ones. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:06, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Interesting enough, he's let the "rude" behavior out but still gave out some sense about the names. --iFredCat 23:51, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

Videos

Hey, I'd like to report that many videos in the database have been added. Some are fan-fic, while others are not even in English/Japanese. Energy X (talk contribs) 09:18, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

Who upload them? (Also, five tildes existed in some Wikia, if you don't know, that made the date show up instead of whole signature) --iFredCat 10:06, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
In the past YouTube videos could be embedded by putting the video ID between <youtube></youtube> tags. Wikia have removed this functionality recently, in favour of having the videos embedded in the "File:" namespace. To migrate from one method to the other, they've had every video that's embedded with <youtube></youtube> automatically uploaded into the file namespace and credited the edit to whoever they recognise as being the one who added the video.
In effect it makes it look like users are adding those videos, when in fact a bot is doing it.
The people the bot thinks uploaded the video aren't always the ones who actually did. e.g. if you reverted a page blanking that resulted in you putting the <youtube></youtube> tags back in, the bot could assume you are the one who added the video.
It's also causing the wrong date to appear in the "Last edited" column in Special:ListUsers for inactive users.
I've mentioned the problems to Wikia and they've said that they're sorry it's causing confusion. They didn't say anything that suggests they're going to change how it's been done.
Anyway most of those videos are from Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, which we'll probably delete after they're moved to a separate wiki. -- Deltaneos (talk) 11:02, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

Atem's not a directly reincarnation of Yugi!

I reverted it to normal and put in a hidden note, so you're welcome to fixing it or just kill me if you like. --iFredCat 21:39, June 20, 2013 (UTC)

== Upcoming Policy Changes == Hello, We wanted to let you know that in order to comply with federal law, Wikia is reviewing the way it handles communities that may be considered directed to people 12 years of age or younger. This wiki has been flagged as falling into that category, and I wanted to let you know about it. While I am sure this wiki has many fans of all ages, it can also be especially appealing to the younger demographic for purposes of the newly revised Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The only change you will notice is that we will be turning anonymous editing and commenting off for wikis in this category. Your users will still be able to edit and participate. They just need to make sure that they are logged in first. We hope the impact on your community will be minimal. We realize this might be an inconvenience, but this is a step Wikia has to take in order to make sure we are in compliance with federal law. You can find out more about COPPA here: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/12/coppa.shtm. The changes to the law will be going into effect July 1st, 2013 although you may see some changes before then. Be sure to keep an eye on [[w:Community Central|Community Central]] where e will be announcing these updates to the wider Wikia Community on Monday on the staff blog. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks, and Happy Editing! --semanticdrifter <staff/> (help forum | blog) 01:16, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

Need some help

What I need help with is finding a quick way to pull up a list of cards that had their images edited for international release due to the soccer mom influence. I tried using alt images but they are not considered that. Are they tagged in any way? If not what other methods might give me the results I want?

Glittersword TalkContributions 17:41, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

I tried adding properties to the artworks pages before, stating the medium the alternate artwork exists in and the reason the card got edited. You can see the attempt here. The idea was that you would click on something like "religion" or "violence" and then only be given the cards that were edited from that reason. However, BrowseData doesn't seem to work too well with custom namespaces and I didn't pursue it any further.
The only other thing I can show you right now is ygo-card.de's list. I'm not sure how comprehensive it is. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:56, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

Vandal

Is there a way to deal with constant vandals? As seen on my user page history, the vandal is actually the same one, supported by the fact he (or she) wrote the same thing when vandalising my page. Energy X 23:02, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

I'm not positive they're the same person. Writing the same thing was a result of the user of the last IP hitting the "(undo)" link, next to the edit where NexusShiker reverted earlier vandalism. Although the locator I use is not 100% accurate, the first two IPs seem to be from Malaysia, while the last one seems to be from the United States.
If it is the same user and they continue to vandalise, it shouldn't be difficult to block all their IPs. If they have access to too many different IPs from various ranges, we can just protect your user page from being edited by new and unregistered users. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:21, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Judai Manga, Jaden Manga

It's good that he got new link that leaded to his Manga version, but why put it there if he already have one in "Manga Biography" topic? Cheesy would perhaps come in and throw one of them out before yelled his cheese lungs out loudly, "OVERLINK", or something. --iFredCat 20:52, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

The "(manga)" character pages are getting very few page views in comparison to the anime versions. That is somewhat expected as the anime is more popular than the manga, but the difference appears to be a lot bigger than it should be. e.g. Keith Howard seemed to be getting more views than Yugi Mutou (manga) and Dark Yugi (manga). It seems as though, people aren't giving much notice to the links in the ==Manga biography== sections. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:17, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Cover cards

no, i saw this: http://www.jakarade.com/index.php?page=search11&search=Original%20Structure%20Deck%201 but i didn't add that those are alternative "first" cards of the deck, i also deleted the cover cards on the box because they could be confused with the ones in the box, i'd better specify this and maybe add the box cover cards as "box cover cards" or something like that.

PS recently i bought some books like the Master Guide and some game strategy guides, so i was thinking of scanning and uploading all the pages, would it be a problem for copyright in your opinion? remember that they have at least 10 years and are discontinued

Gemini Monster as Normal Monster

Sorry for all the heat edits through that poorly Alien monster. So I wanna know if that is true, Gemini monster's effect of being a Normal Monster is Continuous, right? If I am wrong, then feel free to add any reason of why they're not Continuous. --iFredCat 21:31, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know. I am slightly leaning towards Condition. I can see why people wold think they are Continuous. Falzar added the Gemini monsters and "Road Synchron" examples to the Condition Effect page based on what ATEMVEGETA and Deus Ex Machina said. They both know more about the rules than me. I'm inclined to believe they got it right, but I've asked ATEM to take a look and see if there was a mistake. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:44, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Packs Template

Hi there Deltaneos, I noticed at the bottom of the Packs template that there are links with braces around them, which link to templates. I was wondering if this was normal, or if the actual templates were supposed to be displayed within the Packs template. Thanks. Shrev64(Talk·Contribs) 18:17, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

It's normal. If you edit {{Packs}} and look at the below parameter, you'll see {{Set navbox list|Packs}}. From there, if you edit {{Set navbox list}}, you'll see (among other code) {{t|Packs}} (for example). {{t}} is simply a template that allows you to link to a template, with the output looking like what you would type to use that template, without having to type out the full link or bother with <nowiki/> tags. (I hope that all makes sense, it is pretty indirect from beginning to end. Feel free to ask if you still don't understand something.) =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:57, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, ok, makes sense now. From just looking at it visually, I figured the <nowiki> tags were in use, but what you explained, as you said before, is simpler and less code. Thanks for the clarification :) Shrev64(Talk·Contribs) 19:54, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
No problem, I'm just glad my explanation made enough sense as to be understandable. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:01, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to Project Interdimensional War

By the way,

Hello, and Thank you for your assistance with the page I'm working on. I'm Justin Holland, but you can call me Justin. I am currently looking for those who are interested in helping out this page that describe the main conflict that takes place in yu-gi-oh Zexal. If you have any ideas for contributions to the page, feel free to either put your ideas on the talk page and if you could tell anyone you know about this page and see if you can get them to help the cause. Welcome to Project Interdimensional War. Justin Holland (talkcontribs) 02:12, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

Z-one

Occording to what someone says, a tweet was made that Z-one came from 200 years from the future, is that true? If you do find that tweet, then it definitly should be referenced on his page. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 13:12, July 27, 2013 (UTC)

It's true. Katsumi Ono said it; https://twitter.com/katsuono/status/40627070610444288 -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:30, July 27, 2013 (UTC)

"Mist Bird Clausolas" Page

Hey! I don't know exactly how this talk page works, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong :P I just wanted to contact an admin to say that the page of "Mist Bird Clausolas" does not redirects to the right "Gallery", "Tips", etc pages. They are all about "Claiom Solais, the Hazehawk", but this is not its TCG name... I noticed this when I tried to creat the Trivia Page, but noticed that the name of the page refered to "Hazehawk", and when i tried to rename the page, it was said that it already exists. I checked and there was already Trivia, Tips, etc pages, but the main page of the monster doesn't redirects to them.

It's just this problem, but idk how to fix it and wanted to contac an admin. Thanx o/

Custafonn (talkcontribs) 23:05, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice, but the links are pointing to "Card Trivia:Mist Bird Clausolas" etc. for me. You might still be seeing an older version of the page. If you clear the page cache, does it show the right links for you? -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:10, August 8, 2013 (UTC)
I cleaned the cache, but the problem persists... I think the page is not the old version, since i can see the updated name and picture... For me, only the "Rulings" link is not red (and the "Trivia", that I tried to create and could not delete after I noticed the problem)...
Custafonn (talkcontribs) 23:55, August 8, 2013 (UTC)
The trivia link was pointing to the correct location for me. The gallery and tips links were broken for me though; They were attempting to link to both the old and new page names at the same time. I've fixed those two now. Are the links still wrong for you? -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:10, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, they are all ok for me now! Thank you! :)

Tag Force and World Championship pages

Hey, i've noticed you've been making them. Do you need any help constructing them? I've played through the storylines in the English versions of all World Championship games, so I can help with the storylines on those pages, but I have only played the Japanese versions of Tag Force, so I wouldn't be much use there, haha. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 19:28, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

Yes please. I would love whatever help you can give me. Do you already have an idea of what edits you'd like to make or do you want me to make specific requests? -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:59, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
Well I can do the basic layouts for the characters (including Deck stats since i'll have access to view them all for WC09, WC10 and WC11) as well as Deck Lists, then once all of those are created, I could get started on the biographies? Is there anything specific you want me to take care of? Also, do you have access to HQ images like you have of Yusei? I can't find anything online similar. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 00:01, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
That sounds good. I expect the biographies to be most painful part. I don't have anything specific in mind, that you don't already plan on working on. Although, as you're probably more knowledgeable of the games than me, do think there's any worthwhile information that I haven't given a section in the articles to? And do you have much knowledge of any other Yu-Gi-Oh! video games?
I don't know if I'd call the Yusei image HQ. I just screencapped it from a YouTube video. I was thinking about asking Falzar FZ for help with those images. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:29, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
I was going to ask about linking the Decks to the character Deck pages. If we create separate pages for each version of a character, it'd render their Deck pages less useful. Also, is the Yusei image you used from Stardust Accelerator? It has a different layout to the Aki one I found. And the pages look fine to me.
Do you think we should lay out the biographies with headers for each game, or base it on some form of storyline/chapter system like you have with the Tag Force pages? The only game I can remember that used chapters was Over the Nexus. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 00:45, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not a big fan of those Deck pages. I was hoping we could remove the need for them with these pages. Although, I can understand that not everybody might be too keen on that idea.
No, the Yusei image is from Reverse of Arcadia. It mentions, "Speed Savior", which is one of his Reverse of Arcadia Decks. It's from the Free Duel character selection menu. The Aki image might be from a different part of the game.
I guess that depends on their length. I'd expect the WC biographies would generally be significantly shorter than the TF ones, since the characters spend less time with the player. I like to keep biography sections in-universe, in which case subsections would ideally be named after events/items in the character's life (Fortune Cup, Dark Signers, Crash Town etc.), rather than game or chapter names. Although, the game names might be more convenient in this case. Once we start writing biographies and get an idea of the length, it should become clearer.
I think Reverse of Arcadia uses chapter names too. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:06, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Ah right, I was just wondering because those images are only in hacked versions of the games (as you can't normally vs. the characters in WC mode). That's why the image for Aki is different (and I can't find the statistics for any form of Turbo Deck).
I've also done a bit of the Aki biography (i'll go over it grammar wise etc later on as i'm trying to get the main information down beforehand), so that should give you an idea of the size. But Aki only played a big role in Reverse of Arcadia, so her biography should be significantly smaller than Yusei's, Jack's and so on. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 01:36, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
That looks great. The three games are in different continuities, are they? In WC09, Aki is defeated by the player in the Fortune Cup, while in WC10, she's defeated by Yusei. -- Deltaneos (talk) 11:12, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks and unfortunately yes, you play as three different characters. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 11:54, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
For Tag Force, do you know if the levels mentioned next to the Decks here are used officially? -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:00, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
No, sorry. Also, how would we go about creating a World Championship biography for Team Unicorn's Jean? There's already a page named Jean (World Championship) for a minor, game original character. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 21:36, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
The best I can think of right now is "Jean (WC11)" and either leave the other one at "Jean (World Championship)" or move it to "Jean (WC09 and WC10)" and change "Jean (World Championship)" to a disambiguation page. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:42, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
Ah cool, thanks. I've finished Aki's biography, how does it look? Is there anything else you want me to add to the pages? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 09:43, August 14, 2013 (UTC)
Very good. The only other thing I can think of would be to add a paragraph to the intro, briefly describing her role throughout the games. -- Deltaneos (talk) 11:34, August 14, 2013 (UTC)
Hey Delta, could you please delete the following image: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/File:Hoodlum-WB01.jpg I have a higher quality image of him, but as I am using a mac, I can only upload .pngs. Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:54, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Promotional Media Question

So on Promotional Media Gallery:Cosmo Blazer we have the print stuff, but would it be possible to post a Youtube link to the commercial? The Official YGO TCG YouTube Channel has posted up the english ads for the boosters. Would it be alright to add videos in? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:39, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Do you mean link to the video or embed it? Since Konami are posting the videos on YouTube and not disabling the embed option, legally, I don't think there's any problems with embedding them. If it's what you want to do and no one else opposes I won't stop you. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:28, August 13, 2013 (UTC)
I wanted to embed them. Anyway, that's all I wanted to check. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 04:16, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Duelist Pack: Shark & Rio or Kastle Siblings?

according to shriek, the Japanese name is "神代兄妹". if that is the case, should we move it to Duelist Pack: Kastle Siblings instead of Shark & Rio? unless the japan name is not accurate at all. -Lpoi (talkcontribs) 18:15, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Some users here don't like using Shriek as a source, but they seem happy that that is the correct name. It's also the one posted on Neo Ark Cradle. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:55, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

why I am using a download link

If "After the Struggle" have a new update in the future, the link will show only the last update (the new one), and there is no way to confirm the Third Erratum. Anyway, I will leave it because in the Second Erratum it was printed by mistake. --Dlamash (talkcontribs) 18:42, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

Jack

Could you fix his personality section so that the original things are mentioned first (the whole thing practically has the edited dub stuff first, when the actuall things should be coming first. Some of the dub stuff is kind of mixed in as well when it should be seperated into parenthesis). Regarding your edit Summery of Aki, thin layer means just a little bit came back (speaking of Aki, should her monster be added as a Spirit partner? I mean Aki heavily implied her monster saved them of its own occord). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 13:36, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

I took a stab at Jack's personality section.
When I said that I missed the point, I meant that in my first edit I had unknowingly removed the point you were making. So, I tried to fix that in my second edit.
I find Spirit Partner to be kinda broadly defined. If you only count ones that often appear semi-transparent next to their partner and only visible to certain people, no. If you count any Duel Monster, who has materialised and bonded with someone, then I guess so. -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:59, August 25, 2013 (UTC)

Insect Armor with Laser Cannon

User:MasterMarik clearly doesn't agree with me with this card's anime lore, but I put an anime noting to make note of the error. The card appearances page states the anime effect and manga effect are similar (with the only difference being that the Level condition appeared to be removed from the anime as they had bits and pieces of the real game inside of it at that point). Can you try to find a way to reason with this guy.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 01:17, August 24, 2013 (UTC)

The manga did not show how much ATK "Basic Insect" gained. "Laser Cannon Armor" gave it 1500 ATK and 2000 DEF. It was never stated how much "Insect Armor with Laser Cannon" increased it by. In the anime, particularly during Duelist Kingdom, cards often had their real world effect printed on them, when they did something different in the anime. I really doubt it only gained 700 ATK, but there's no evidence that it gained 1500. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:39, August 24, 2013 (UTC)

No Navigation in Card Rulings:Token Monster

The same applies to Card Rulings:Spell Counter? Without Navigation do those Rulings appear in Every Card Ruling Page? ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 22:24, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I think the same should apply to every page in Category:Group Rulings. Without {{Navigation}}, they will still appear in that Prefixindex. However, they won't automatically be added to Category:Card Rulings, but that behaviour might be desired. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:47, August 29, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, we'll remove the Navigation template from those Ruling Pages then. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 05:41, August 30, 2013 (UTC)
Can we disable the auto addition of the Navigation template from the Group Rulings only? Now if someone makes an edit, the template is automatically added as well and we need to delete it all the times. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 06:27, September 4, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I had forgotten about that. So, I've changed the script so that rulings pages will not get the automatic navigation template if "[[Category:Group Rulings" is in the page source. This way it will stop it being added when people edit group ruling pages, but it won't stop it being added when they create them. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:04, September 4, 2013 (UTC)
Nice! I'll keep an eye on the new Group Ruling pages that are created and delete the template if so. Thanks Deltaneos! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 06:58, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

Masters of Animanga promotion

Hello! I am herald_of_meridian and I'm here to let you know that Wikia has launched a pretty exciting animanga project that might spark the interest of your community! The project in question is the Collaborative Writing Project with the Masters of Animanga and is an event stretching from September 3rd to the 27th, where users are invited to collaborate with some big names in the animanga business to create three short stories based around the vampire genre, samurai genre and girls genre. Animanga Wikia users can work together with Japanese professional mangaka, illustrators and producers to create a paragraph-to-paragraph story that will be highlighted on Wikia and eventually also on New York Comic-Con! Now isn't that great?!

Now, Bereisgreat and I are spreading the word for them and requesting some major animanga Wikis to promote the project to its community. Can I ask you to place this image on both the main page and the Community-corner and have it linked to the MOA blog post that I linked earlier? We would also like a blog post or a forum post (whatever is most popular over here) to get a conversation started on the Wiki. If I could leave that in your hands, that'd be great, unless of course you would like me to reach out to this Wiki's users. Both these things would be sufficient and ideal to get the word out and create some attention for the project, which is very much appreciated. Also, are there any particular users you are aware of that would be interested in writing a story like this, since I would like to reach out to them personally.

Well, that about wraps it up, thanks and I hope we can put some effort into this!

RE: Great Angus and "Brutal Potion"

SALUTATIONS, DELTANEOS!!

First off, I don't think I've ever spoke with you about anything but I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done here that has in-part, made this Wikia the #1 source for everything Yu-Gi-Oh, I mean it! :D

But about this though, I was (I stress, WAS) gonna delete this trivia point on "Brutal Potion"'s trivia page but when I peered @ the edit history, Great Scott--I find that of all users, UltimateKuriboh put that there (you can scrutinize the page's edit history for proof, as I have.) I thought that if he put that there, then I guess that was a possibility that that man was "Great Angus"!? However, I see what you're trying to get across--on "Brutal Potion"'s page, that's all it says, no argument/proof for it whatsoever. I furthermore think that this might of been his early years before undertaking all the Wikia accolades he has now (this was over three years ago after all...)

That all being said, maybe you could take UltimateKuriboh down memory lane to see if he remembers that!? I deleted both points based on a lack of "proof" for right now (can always be reversed later.) I apologize if I appeared "simple-minded" making this initial synchronization with "Brutal Potion" =T --ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 22:27, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

Clash profiles

Hey Delta, do you think it'd be too early to make a start on the Clash profiles? I just thought it'd be good to get the main templates sorted out beforehand (plus I can make the thing at the bottom for the characters), then we could add their storylines and Decks as they're revealed? It'll also stop people from adding their Decks/storylines onto the anime biographies. If so, would you suggest naming the pages as such:

Yuma Tsukumo (Clash)

TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 15:18, September 18, 2013‎ (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose there's no harm in starting those early. I'd been wondering about the page names too. While I'd like a short one like "Yuma Tsukumo (Clash!)", I think the full name, sans Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, "Yuma Tsukumo (Clash! Duel Carnival!)", is our best bet for now. If Clash! turns out to be a common shortening or the name of a series of games, we can shorten the disambiguation later. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:25, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
That's cool then ^^. I'll start on them. Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:54, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
I created the Yuma one, is there anything you'd suggest adding to it, or will that be fine for now? Also, regarding the character's individual templates for links to their various incarnations, I thought it'd be nice to add different headers for publications and then video games to separate them, what do you think?. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 18:31, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
Would the publications section be for both anime and manga? -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:23, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
I completely forgot about the anime haha, but no, that'd have a separate section. Also, there are several things I can't find for the profiles. Mrs. Andrews doesn't have any kanji for her Japanese name (and I don't think Nelson's is correct). I also can't find any images for Dextra, Nistro, Roku and Lilly. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 20:33, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
  • I would like it to be more organised than one all-containing list. Would the sections be anime, manga, books and video games? (And role-play for stuff like Yusei Fudo (Greg Abbey) and the non-video game appearances of the Charisma characters, if we decide to split up those pages)? But in most cases, that would be a couple or a lot of pages in the video game section and only one or two pages in every other section.
  • Mrs. Andrews = 風也の母 (Fuya's mother), 奥平さん (Okudaira-san) or 奥平 (Okudaira)
  • Nelson Andrews = 奥平風也, so the current one is correct. Are you looking at an instance that says "エスパー・ロビン", which is his nickname, "Esper Robin"?
  • I can't immediately think of anywhere to find such images, that you haven't probably already checked.

Digitally Edited Images

Hello Delta, may I ask why you upload a digitally edited images? I was going to reverting the images, but I kindly need your explanation before doing it. From what I recall, the digitally edited wasn't allow since the image can be consider fake or encourage others to upload their own edited images. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 03:37, September 26, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't think rotating an image was that harmful. I just thought the slight loss in quality would be worth having the image upright in tables, galleries etc.
Are the changes to File:InfernityKnight-EN-Manga-5D.png okay, Since the blurriness was already a result of digital changes? -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:26, September 26, 2013 (UTC)
From what I understand, manga images are allowed to digitally edited since no one seem to upload it in the correct position and most of the images doesn't have a cut-off border nor a blurred quality. While the anime images weren't allowed since there are too many images that have are in a obscure position that caused it to either have a cut-off border and a blurred quality. Rotating an image were allowed if the images aren't artificially stretched, just rotated and cropped. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 15:26, September 26, 2013 (UTC)
So if the four corners are at 90° angles, it's okay to rotate? But if the perspective has been changed, i.e. one end of the card appears smaller as it's further away, it should be left alone?
  • This should be left alone because the top of the card appears wider than the bottom and the perspective needs to be adjusted?
  • This can be straightened, because it's just a simple rotation?
  • This should be left alone, because while it can be rotated upright, one corner will be cut off?
  • What if a card appears as a parallelogram and just needs to be "sheared"? This backways.
-- Deltaneos (talk) 16:12, September 26, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, it is okay to rotate since the four corner is at 90° angles. Yes, the card that appear further or closer away should be left alone.
  • Yes, the image need at be at a equal perspective and there need be a certain balance.
  • Yes, as long as it simple rotation and the image is not artificially stretched. For instance, I can try to upload a non-rotate image, but was reverting because it wasn't artificially stretched.
  • Yes, the corner can be cut-off and it leave a white corner. This leave a impression that the image been digitally edited and the image can be messy or a lost of quality.
  • It should be left alone, as someone try that before with this then it became this. But it depend on the situation, if the four corner are within the range that it can be "sheared" then sure go ahead. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 23:11, September 26, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! (Card Number suggestion)

Thanks for your awesome suggestion for the card numbers. I knew there had to be a quick way to pull that information, but I'm still new to the Wikia editing system. I really appreciate your help. It'll make those edits much faster. DarkAngel4210 (talkcontribs) 15:26, September 26, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the edit. I was wondering if you could give me a little help once more. I was testing other variables (can't think of a better word right now) of that substitute code line you gave me, and I ran into some snags. I've found that a lot of different variables can work with that line, but I can't figure out why Name or Category won't work. Do those require a different parameter or do they have to be done manually? I tried several variations, but no success thus far. DarkAngel4210 (talkcontribs) 22:11, September 26, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. That page was exactly what I needed. I love organized pages such as those that simply list everything you need in one place. Once again, I really appreciate your help. Take care. DarkAngel4210 (talkcontribs) 00:09, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

Anime Decks

Hey Delta, since we're planning on putting the anime Decks back onto the anime biography pages to eliminate the need for the "X's Decks" pages, do you think i'd be best to classify their Decks under one Decklist or possibly put it under seasons? I was looking over a lot of the Decks and it's really only the main character who's Decklist can support such classifications. Characters like Droite etc only have 6-7 cards of their Decks shown per arc, so it makes the separation of their Decks seem a little pointless. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 04:33, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Any opinion on this? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 13:32, October 19, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, sorry for keeping you waiting.
If there's loads of cards shown, some sort of thematic difference, a timeskip or a character says it's a new Deck, I'd say keep them separate. Otherwise merge them. If there's a timeskip and the cards are largely the same, it's hard to say.
In Droite's case, I keep thinking merge. Although the page suggests that each of the Decks have a different strategy, it looks to me like it's the same Deck and the different strategies claim could be a result of only seeing a few cards/turns each time.
But I haven't seen those episodes or looked at her cards in detail and if I compare to characters from episodes/chapters I have seen, Dinosaur Ryuzaki (manga), is the only example I can think of, where I'd want them to be merged.
My final opinion? Leave them separate. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:07, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

Episodes 130 and 131

Sorry to be a pain, but as there are no sources could you please remove this, I didn't think it qualifies for speedy deletion, but it's very existence seems to be misleading to the purpose of the wiki (factual information... evidence based?) :s Otherwise, in the future would such articles qualify for speedy deletion tag? (given that the creator has been asked for a source). Again sorry to be a pain :/ --slave(command) 00:28, October 6, 2013 (UTC)

Not to be a nitpicker

But Delta, your revision for the Reginald Kastle webpage with the full images of Shark's different forms really necessary? All its done is cluttering up the section itself, making it difficult of me to discern the descriptions from the actually images themselves. I only reorganized the Other Appearances section into the Gallery earlier as a means to making article presentable on its first section. If you have a better solution, please let me know.

superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 01:37, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

It's okay, I get your concern. I was unhappy about the clutter it caused too. Do you think shrinking the three images to half their current width is okay or would you rather do something else? -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:55, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

I have a suggestion.

If you pay your attention to some of the more dedicated anime wikis on the web, I've noticed sites like One Piece Wiki, Bleach Wiki, and Narutopedia uses infobox templates that can select between images from the portrait frame. Is such a thing possible for use for this Wiki? I bet it can help a lot with the Character pages and the amount of images cluttered up. Give me your feedback ASAP.

superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 05:53, October 7, 2013 (UTC)!

It's doable. But Narutopedia etc. have the same one or two sets of tabs and every character can only use tabs from that set. My concern is that, we don't have just one or two rules that will cover every character. We'd have to look at a lot of stuff case-by-case. Stuff like human/Barian and normal/Dark Signer seem obvious enough, but people are bound to have different opinions on other stuff like young/old, Duelist Kingdom clothing/Battle City clothing, Bruno/Mysterious D-Wheeler/Antinomny and scarred/unscarred.
Anyway, there's already a more detailed discussion on this over at Talk:Rio Kastle#Infobox pic, from Rocket.knight.777's first comment in that section downwards. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:40, October 7, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Time-Limited Challenges (BAM)

There are some discrepancies between the price of the card in Time-Limited Challenges and the ones in the Shop. For one, all are priced in DP (and that includes the Rare and Common cards). Also, the price of some of the earlier cards doesn't seem to match the current price in the Shop. For example, Release from Stone was sold in TLC for 30 DP, while its price in the Shop is 36 DP. Foolish Revival was 9 DP in TLC (when it's price is still CP) but its price in the Shop is 11 DP. Same thing with Genex Furnace. It was sold at 20 DP in TLC, but in shop it is 14 DP. That discrepancy only happened when some Ultra Rare cards are still CP priced. It seemed to change with the Shop revamp. Dark Pride (talkcontribs) 23:13, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for granting me mover rights. One question, when you move pages to Forum, how do you stop a double Forum thing from happening in the name, do you just only need to have the space specified Forum and not the page name have it? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 21:44, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

No problem. On the move page screen, in the "To new title" section, either leave the dropdown on "(Main)" and type "Forum:" at the beginning of the text box or select "Forum" from the dropdown and don't include "Forum:" in the text box. If you tried that for the "Rate my deck plz" forum, it probably didn't work because another Forum:Rate my deck plz exists. In cases like that, I usually add a " (2)" to the end of the pagename. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:52, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Looks good. I know it's not finished, so sorry if I'm asking about something you just haven't gotten around to yet. Are you going to add more headings? Touchstorm Test

Hello Deltaneos,

Wikia would like to test our newest video finding service on Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia. It works very similar to Videos section on pages. All it does is replace it with a module that will search out and find specific related videos to that specific page based on the information that is written in that particular page. For example if you have a character profile page based off of Tori it will try to find videos related specifically to Tori. The module is clean and will not obstruct the Wikia in any way. If you find that it bothers the Wikia please feel free to let me know and we can have it removed.

Yami Yugi and Pharaoh Atem

Essentiallu my question is, why are they separate pages? - i am not disputing it, but I want to know what the "formal" reasons for it are as a few people are sayin very little more than referencing it as an example. Thanks if you can, and if you can't don't worry =) --slave(commandworks) 06:23, November 28, 2013 (UTC)

Yugi Muto, Yami Yugi and Pharaoh Atem used to have the same page, years ago. I asked about splitting it into Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi at one point, but others present felt Atem and Yami were considered different characters and were okay with having Atem split from Yugi. Later on, Yami Bakura and Yami Yugi got separate articles from their hosts. When I asked about merging Yami and Atem, one of the users, who had considered Atem and Yami separate, said he would rather have Yami share a page with Yugi, than with Atem, so the three separate pages seemed like a good compromise.
As for reasons why people considered them separate characters, Danny Lilithborne, although not one of the aforementioned users, gave some explanation at Talk:Pharaoh Atem#Merge with Yami Yugi. I think another argument is that Atem was someone who died in Ancient Egypt, while Yami Yugi was a separate entity created from his lingering personality and Yugi.
For the record, I personally consider Yami and Atem to be the same character. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:34, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Doubled anime lores for RUM Barian's Force

There probably should be a better solution to displaying the anime lore of RUM Barian's Force. It's already quite long on its own, and stacking two of them on top of each other makes it even longer. My attempt at using the tt template probably wasn't the best idea, but isn't there a better way?
The first thing I think of is that regular cards only display their most current lore, with all previous lores moved to an Errata page. Maybe the old lore of RUM Barian's Force should do something similar? A note on the Appearances, Trivia, or (probably best) Lores page should suffice.
Alternatively, how come only Japanese anime lores get an "alternate" option in the CardTable2 template? Add an option for English alternate anime lores as well, and use that. I'd prefer the first option though.
Any thoughts? Blueapple128 (talkcontribs) 04:43, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry about this. The reason UltimateKuriboh sent you to me was I said "I think I'd prefer separate lores to a mixture of the two", when he asked for opinions. I didn't realise at the time that the only thing changed was a single "CXyz" → "C". In that case, I don't think the merging the lores was a bad idea. Although, the reliance on hover text would need a fallback for mobile devices.

I agree with your idea of treating the most recent anime lore as the main anime one, by putting it first or only using it on the main page. Split lores, merged lores and the errata suggestion are all fine by me.

The reason why Japanese is the only one with two anime lores is it's the first one that needed two. After it was added, nobody added it or requested it for other languages. Although, not much use in this case, there is an "altlore" parameter for alternatives to the main lore. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:18, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

Portuguese wiki

wanted to help me, because the Portuguese wiki yugioh wanted to partner with this, so we can copy and translate from Portuguese to English and and otherwise. If you think this a good idea to go through our wiki and talk to me, goncasdio, or the 019mgq.

Sorry for the inconvenience, goncasdio Portuguese yugioh wiki — This unsigned comment was made by Goncasdio (talkcontribs) 18:46, December 27, 2013‎ (UTC)

Hi. It's good to see the Portuguese wiki being worked on. I'm not sure what you kind of partnership you mean. If you want to set up interwikis between this wiki and the Portuguese one, you can make a request at w:Project:Interlanguage link requests. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:57, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

I'm not quite sure what is an interwiki, masvou try to talk to the other administrator of our wiki to see if that indeed is what he wants, and then return to contact to know.

PS: If you need to also talk to the other administrator go to our wiki

another administrator agreed to inter-wiki, and then I'm already ordering

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I can't create interwiki and wish we did, and sorry for the inconvenience
