"Entertainment Confrontation" is the forty-third chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Structures manga.

Summary[edit]

Featured Duel: Yami Kuroda vs Kaito Tenjo[edit]

Turn 1: Kaito

The beginning of the turn is skipped. Kaito activates the effect of "Galaxy Knight", having it lose 1000 ATK (2800 → 1800) to Special Summon "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from his GY in Defense Position. Kaito currently controls "Galaxy Knight", "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", "Galaxy Photon Dragon" and "Galaxy Hundred". Since "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" was Special Summoned, the effect of "Galaxy Hundred" activates, allowing Kaito to check Kuroda's Extra Deck. Some of the cards shown include "Elder Entity N'tss", "Dyna Mondo", "Accesscode Talker" and three copies of "Herald of the Arc Light". Since Kuroda's Extra Deck contains no "Number" monsters, Kaito applies the effect of choosing one monster to banish - choosing "Dyna Mondo". Next, he Overlays "Galaxy Knight" and "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to Xyz Summon "Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord" in Defense Position.

Turn 2: Kuroda
Kuroda activates "Pot of Extravagance", banishing 6 cards from his Extra Deck to draw 2 cards. He activates "Libromancer Bonded", Tributing "Libromancer Magigirl" from his hand to Ritual Summon "Libromancer Mystigirl". Upon its Special Summon, the effect of "Mystigirl" activates, attempting to negate the effects of "Photon Lord" and reduce its ATK to 0; however, Kaito chains with the latter's effect, detaching 1 Xyz Material to negate the effect of "Mystigirl" and destroy it. Kuroda activates "Preparation of Rites", adding "Libromancer Doombroker" from his Deck, as well as "Libromancer Bonded" from his GY, to his hand. By revealing "Doombroker" in his hand, Kuroda Special Summons "Libromancer Geek Boy" from his hand and activates its effect, adding "Libromancer Origin" from his Deck to his hand. He subsequently activates its, allowing him to Set "Libromancer First Appearance" directly from his Deck. Kuroda then activates "Libromancer First Appearance", allowing him to add "Libromancer Agent" from his Deck to his hand. He reveals "Doombroker" in his hand to Special Summon "Agent". Kuroda does the same to Special Summon "Libromancer Fire" as well, activating its effect - he adds "Libromancer Firestarter" from his Deck to his hand. Next, he activates the 2nd effect of "Libromancer First Appearance", Tributing "Geek Boy" on his field to Ritual Summon"Libromancer Firestarter . The effect of "Origin" increases the ATK of Kuroda's "Libromancer" Ritual Monsters by their own Levels x100 ("Firestarter": ATK 1800 → 2100). Furthermore, upon the Ritual Summon of "Firestarter", the 3rd effect of "Origin" allows Kuroda to destroy Kaito's "Galaxy Hundred". Kuroda activates the effect of "Agent" on his field, adding "Geek Boy" from his GY to his hand. He activates the effect of "First Appearance" again, Tributing "Agent" to Ritual Summon "Doombroker" (ATK 2500 → 3100), and activates its effect, Setting "Libromancer Intervention" directly from his Deck. Finally, Kuroda activates "Libromancer Bonded", Tributing "Fire" and "Firestarter" on his field to Ritual Summon "Libromancer Fireburst" (ATK 2800 → 3500).

Duel continues in the next chapter.
