"Libromancer VS Galaxy-Eyes" is the forty-forth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Structures manga. It was first published January 21, 2023, in the V Jump magazine.
Summary[edit]
Kuroda builds a solid field with his "Libromancer" monsters, however, Kaito soon dominates the Duel with his ultimate "Galaxy-Eyes" - leaving Kuroda to depend on his next draw.

Turn 2: Kuroda
Kuroda explains that, thanks to its own effect and "Libromancer Bonded", his "Libromancer Fireburst" cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects, nor be banished. Kaito activates the 2nd effect of "Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord", taking "Galaxy Trance" from his Deck and adding it to his hand. Kuroda enters his Battle Phase. Thanks to its own effect, "Libromancer Doombroker" attacks Kaito directly, but Kaito activates the effect of "Galactikuriboh" from his hand, discarding it to Special Summon a 2nd "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from his Deck in Defense Position and making it the new attack target. Also, the effect of "Galactikuriboh" allows Kaito to attach it to his "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord" as an Xyz Material. Upon being attacked, Kaito activates the effect of his "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", banishing itself and Kuroda's "Doombroker". Kuroda declares an attack with "Fireburst", activating its effect - he banishes "Firestarter" from his GY to increase its ATK by 200 ("Fireburst": ATK 3500 → 3700). Furthermore, "Fireburst" can attack two monsters. It attacks and destroys Kaito's Defense Position "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord" and "Galaxy Photon Dragon". As Kuroda ends his Battle Phase, the banished "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and "Libromancer Doombroker" return to the field.
Turn 3: Kaito
Kaito activates "Galaxy Trance", paying 2000 LP (Kaito's LP: 8000 → 6000) in an attempt to Special Summon 1 "Photon" monster from his GY and 1 "Galaxy" monster from his Deck, but Kuroda activates his face-down "Libromancer Intervention", returning "Doombroker" from the field to his hand in order to negate "Galaxy Trance", then Special Summoning "Libromancer Fire" from his GY in Defense Position. Upon its Special Summon, the effect of "Fire" activates, allowing Kuroda to add a 2nd "Firestarter" from his Deck to his hand. Kuroda's hand currently contains "Libromancer Geek Boy", "Libromancer Firestarter" and "Libromancer Doombroker". Kaito Normal Summons "Galaxy-Eyes Cloudragon" and activates its effect, Tributing itself to Special Summon his 1st "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from his GY. He Overlays both "Galaxy-Eyes" to Xyz Summon "Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon". Next, Kaito uses "Prime Photon Dragon" as material and performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to Xyz Summon "Number C62: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon". Kaito activates the effect of "Cloudragon" in his GY, attaching itself to "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" as Xyz Material. Due to its own effect, the latter gains ATK equal to the Levels/Ranks of its attached materials x100 ("Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon": ATK 4000 → 6500). Kaito proceeds to activate its effect, detaching "Cloudragon" ("Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon": ATK 6500 → 6400) and allowing it to attack monsters up to 3 times this turn. Kuroda activates the effect of "Fireburst", banishing "Libromancer Mystigirl" from his GY to increase its ATK by 200 ("Fireburst": ATK 3700 → 3900). Since "Fireburst" cannot be destroyed by battle, "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" attacks it twice (Kuroda's LP: 8000 → 5500 → 3000). With its 3rd attack, "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" attacks and destroys "Libromancer Fire". Kaito Sets 1 card. He explains that "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" is unaffected by his opponent's monster effects, furthermore, if it would be destroyed by battle or card effect, the "Galactikuriboh" in his GY will protect it.
Turn 4: Kuroda
The beginning of Kuroda's turn is skipped. He currently controls "Libromancer Fireburst" in Attack Position (ATK 4600), as well as "Libromancer Agent", "Libromancer Fire" and "Libromancer Geek Boy" all in Defense Position, besides "Libromancer First Appearance" and two copies of "Libromancer Origin". He activates the effect of "First Appearance", Tributing "Geek Boy" on the field to Ritual Summon "Libromancer Firestarter" from his hand in Defense Position. The effect of "Libromancer Origin" activates, allowing Kuroda to destroy Kaito's face-down card, but Kaito chains with it, revealing it to be "Cipher Bit". "Cipher Bit" becomes attached to "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, and it will further protect it the next time it would be destroyed by battle or card effect this turn. Kuroda activates the effect of "First Appearance" again, Tributing "Agent" on his field to Ritual Summon "Libromancer Doombroker", whose ATK is boosted by both "Libromancer Origins" (ATK 2500 → 3700). He proceeds to activate its effect, Setting a 2nd "Libromancer Intervention" from his Deck on his field. Kuroda activates the effect of "Mathmech Addition" in his hand, Special Summoning itself and increasing the ATK of "Fireburst" by 1000 ("Fireburst": ATK 4600 → 5600).
