Part of the rollout for the new card page layout will be changing how the parameters are shown when editing a card page; like parameters will be grouped better, with a newline of separation between groups, and whitespace will be used somewhat more liberally (specifically, aligning the equals signs and some other tweaks - this actually improves readability a surprising amount). I noticed in a card errata page that the DB seems to count as an errata change. Then I noticed that the DB Gate Guardian page matched the original MRD text, and not the LC01 reprint. So the question is, does this count as another errata for Gate Guardian?184.96.217.50 (talk) 16:39, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Errata Dictionary Book

So to grasping your and Deltaneos' knowledge of how to making Errata Table look like that ways:

  • Bold/Italic (if used on multiple boxes) - Moved to different location or used of the word changes
  • Delete - The line that removed from the lore completely, not used for "replace" or change
  • Insert (With dust-yellow background) - The line that added in the lore completely, not used for "replace" or change

Is that correct? --iFredCat 16:29, January 25, 2013 (UTC)

Basically, yes. Though as always, if you come across anything you're not sure of how to handle, feel free to ask. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:37, January 25, 2013 (UTC)
Now that's making my career much easily to work it out. --iFredCat 16:39, January 25, 2013 (UTC)
Look like I am forced to using "Underline" optional as of this article. Underline is basic in same class as Bold and Italic. --iFredCat 11:54, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
Nah, just keep trading off between bold and italics: the first two lores use bold to show changed text, the second and third use italics, the third and fourth use bold again, etc. (and, of course, continue using ins and del as appropriate). ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:50, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
Well, as of conflict with bold and italic between three boxes, I don't think that it can be work that way - I would rather welcoming Underline to the list, it's like Red, Blue and Yellow in same circle. As if they are basic and first color created, Underline is the third one - AKA the Yellow. --iFredCat 01:55, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
The problem with that is that <ins/> uses underlining as well. There isn't really any other style available to us which would fit well with the current scheme, which basically leaves us with the options of either creating a different scheme (ugh) or redesigning the table so these types of conflicts aren't possible (also ugh, but not as much) if we insist on changing *something*. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:00, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I rarely got Underline and Insert crossing to each other, very rarely. Like one in most recently Errata Articles that Kuriboh reminded me, I didn't get Underline or Insert to intercepting each other at all - I used Underline on one line while using Insert on the next. --iFredCat 11:04, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Template help

So, I'm trying to do a neat little interactive guide for the Master Guide 3 card storylines. I have a question: I want to somehow use a template that looks like the Card Errata template, as seen in Card Errata:Snipe Hunter, so that I can put 2 pictures side by side, with descriptions underneath, and the name of the cards where "Original" and "First Errata" are. However, how would I go about putting another description between the top of the card picture and where I want the card names to be? See User:UltimateKuriboh/Sandbox (specifically the very bottom of the page, starting from "Spirit Caller" down to the bottom) for reference. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:13, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

How does User:UltimateKuriboh/Sandbox/Master Guide 3 look? (when you're satisfied, it can be moved to template space, so don't worry about that ;) ) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:25, January 30, 2013 (UTC)
Oh yeah, I'm very happy! I'm assuming descriptions can be put underneath each of the pictures as well? Another request: Is it possible to make that template adaptable for 3 pictures as well? In the Master Guide, there are groups of 3-5 pictures grouped together under the same section. It would be kinda nice if the template could also center itself if it extended to a second row of pictures, unlike the Card Errata table. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:07, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
Did I ask the impossible? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:27, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
No, I'm just holding off until I get through some other stuff and can spend a bit of time on it. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:48, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
And actually, while I'm here, did you want the descriptions moved under the images, or did you just want additional description parameters added there? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:49, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I would like them under the images. Tricky thing is that there are groups of 2-5 pictures lumped together, and they have 1 description unifying them underneath. In another case, with other groups, there is only 1 description that applies to a specific card out of the bunch (specifically "Naturia Leodrake", as it is lumped in with "Naturia Rosewhip" and "Naturia Cliff", as seen here). With regards to the image provided, would it also be possible to get a template that would have two smaller pictures on top, with a larger image on the bottom? This formatting appears 4-5 times in the Master Guide 3. I still wouldn't know how to put down the title for the bottom card, since it seems like it would interfere with the presentation of the images; maybe they should be moved to the bottom along with the descriptions? We'll figure it out as we go along I guess... --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:10, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
How about this;
Image here
(Effect Naturia) (Effect Naturia)
(Synchro Naturia; Center)
In that way, that's how we can naming them like in Informbox? --iFredCat 18:16, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
Hmmm... The way this is sounding, I'm starting to think you'd be better off trying your hand at wikitable syntax, and hardcoding the tables for now, UltimateKuriboh. Then, after a good number are done, I can go through and pick out commonalities to base a better template off of. If you want to try this, and need help with anything, please feel free to ask! =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:20, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
O_O How do I do this? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:32, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
Start simple, and work from there. =) User:UltimateKuriboh/Sandbox/tables covers the basic syntax, and you should play around with it until you feel comfortable creating basic tables from scratch, at which point I can give you a bit more to work with. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:33, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
How do I get text to wrap? See the page you created for me. (Obviously, the text will be much longer than the string of "h"s.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:06, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
It will wrap automatically once it gets too long to fit on one line, as long as there are spaces in it (which I would hope there'd be ;) ). If you're wondering instead about controlling the width of cells, that's probably better left until you're comfortable enough with the basic markup to learn a bit more. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:09, January 31, 2013 (UTC)
I think I got a handle on it now =) (see the sandbox table page for reference). However, I guess you can simplify things by making the tables into a template(s) to save space on the page, no? Bump. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:39, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
All right, I think I know what a template would have to do:
  • First row with between 1 and 5 cells, each with an image with a width as follows (can you fill in the blanks?):
    • If there's only one image, width = 200px.
    • If there's two images, and a second row image, width = 100px.
    • If there's four images, and no second row image, width = 150px.
    • If there's five images, and no second row image, width = 125px.
  • Optional second row with one image, with a width of 202px (201px if the table uses class="wikitable", which I plan on).
  • Optional third row with between 1 and 5 cells, each with a name related to the above image (card, archetype, etc. name).
  • Optional fourth row with one cell, for a description.
    • If the third row is omitted, the fourth row isn't, and vice versa.
Does this look right to you? Are there any other cases which might complicate it? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:07, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
Everything seems alright. Maybe I missed something you said, but I would like the description cell (when there are 2 100px images on top of a 200-202px image) to be like it is currently, and not separated from the name of the largest, bottom-most image. So it should look like "Naturia Leodrake" and "Ally of Justice Catastor". I think it looks neater that way, and won't confuse people into thinking there should be names for the other images (since a separate cell for the name would confuse them I think). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:19, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
There, how's that look? (Just so you know, though, it doesn't currently explicitly support having only three images; I can add that in easily enough if you let me know how wide they should be.) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:33, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
Haha, it looks coolio! There will be some situations where 3 images will be side by side, with card names underneath, and a description underneath that applies to all of them as a whole, like the "Lightsworn", so adding a thingy for that would be nice. (P.S. Don't think I didn't notice your Grammar Nazi slipping through; I noticed that typo you fixed! I was going to fix it later... -_- ) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:09, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
I need to know how wide you want the images in that case. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:17, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

(Indent Reset) A lot of stuff to go through and think about; I'll give you an answer many hours from now. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:00, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

I think the 4 new examples I published covers all the potential scenarios now. (And yeah, I guess I want a separate row for the name, if there is only one image.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:23, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
All right, the template now covers all the cases you presented, exactly as you presented them (minus centering the table on the page, which I can add a switch for if you want). Some notes on usage:
  • "bigimage" only works in the case of exactly two "first-row" images; I can add support for using it with one or three through five "first-row" images, but once again, I'll need to know what the widths should be.
  • I added a "bigimagename" parameter before I properly understood what you meant when you said there should be a separate name row for the one-image case. I left the parameter in "just in case", but what you requested was already possible: just use the "image1" and "name1" parameters. ;)
  • Width is determined automatically according to the number of images:
    • One image = image + table width of 200 px
    • Two images = image width of 200px; table width of 400 px
    • Two images + bigimage = top image width of 100 px; big image+table width of 201 px (the extra pixel is needed to account for the divider between the top images, which is one pixel thick)
    • Three images = image width of 175 px; table width of 525 px
    • Four images = image width of 150 px; table width of 600 px
    • Five images = image width of 125 px; table width of 625 px
  • Width can be overridden by the "width" parameter, which directly resizes the "top row" images and is used to calculate the proper width for bigimage and the entire table.
If you have any other questions or requests for the template, ask away and I'll see what I can do. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:50, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
Upon preliminary save (with Wikia skin enabled), the search box and all the Wikia stuff that takes up some of the right side of the page has been shoved down to the bottom. I remember there was a thingy that fixed that, but I don't remember =(. Could you help? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:17, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not seeing it here. Is it happening on a particular page? What do you mean by "preliminary save"? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:10, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I should have been more clear. It is at User:UltimateKuriboh/Sandbox. Probably caused by the lil codes I added in to center the tables. By preliminary save, I meant I wasn't quite done with applying all the tables. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:19, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
All right, I'm seeing it here, though it works fine in Monobook. Unfortunately, I don't really know much about the Wikia skin (and certainly not as much as I should know =D ), so I'm not sure how to solve this problem, and it's too late for me to try and figure it out right now. Delt may be able to help (if so, I'd expect him to just comment here when he sees this, though it wouldn't hurt to leave a message asking him to take a look), but if not, I'm not sure who to ask short of turning to Community Central or asking via Special:Contact. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:28, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, so now I think one of the last problems (if not the last) is the width of the "description" cells. Having a long description under a small width under a one picture is a bit unwieldy. Is there a way to lengthen them horizontally without making the whole table wider? I'd prefer to have an option to do them manually. See the "Legendary Six Samurai" section, under "Shi En" for reference of what it should look like. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:42, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
Currently, the whole thing is a single table, which means if I allow the description cell to be wider, it will cause the whole table to widen. What I can do instead is to separate it into its own table, as you did with the "Shi En" example you pointed me to, but it will apply to all the tables. Or I could add a separate "descwidth" parameter that would cause the separation so you could control it better... Which would you prefer? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:10, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
I have no preference, so long as there is no gap between the picture and the description. And in any case where I want the description cell widened, I would want it widened across the whole page. Whichever option is more efficient and clean. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:41, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
All right, done; use the "fulldesc" parameter with any value ("1", "yes", "true", whatever) to make the description cell fullwidth. Note that there may be minor positioning issues between the two tables in this mode on a few browsers (in particular, I believe the border between them will be 2 pixels thick instead of 1 in IE 6 and older), but it shouldn't affect readability in any case. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:49, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
Last thing: There was some sort of glitch that messed up the centering for the page and revealed the instances of where </div> was located on the page. Specifically, this occurs in the same section ("Shi En"), where the images for "Blind Spot Strike" and "Shien's Scheme" are. It was caused by the fact that there was no combined description for the two images. I assume it's a simple matter to fix?
I think I already got that fixed; at least, I can't spot any problems now. Give the page another look and if you still see something wrong, let me know. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 22:12, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

New request! Could you alter the template to also allow the big picture to be on top, and the smaller pictures on the bottom? And yeah, allowing titles underneath each of the pictures (like you did for "Genex Ally" in the "A Force Opposes the Gods" section) would be great! The page is now located at Master Guide 3 card storylines. (On a side note: No one has commented on that Monster "Type" template yet...) I appreciate the work you put in. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:47, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

NOTE: Mmmmm, put that on hold actually. Hope you haven't started on it yet. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:25, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Strictly speaking, UltimateKuriboh shouldn't have the images in his sandbox either, but we generally allow for editors to temporarily have such images in sandbox pages for convenience. Seiyaryu

There are pngs that aren't real pngs? o_O --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:47, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, on occasion you'll run across an image uploaded here that has an extension that doesn't match its actual filetype. I'm not sure how they can be uploaded, since MediaWiki should check for mismatches like this at the time of uploading and prevent the upload if one is found, but it happens nevertheless, and when it does, we can't rename the image because MediaWiki detects the mismatch. If you're wondering, the easiest way to figure out what's going on in cases like this is to note the MIME type listed under the image on its description page, next to the resolution and file size; for instance, for File:Seiyaryu-PCJ-EN-VG.png, the line reads "Seiyaryu-PCJ-EN-VG.png‎ (200 × 290 pixels, file size: 143 KB, MIME type: image/png)". Correct MIME types for given extensions are "image/png" for PNG (obviously ;) ), "image/jpeg" for JPG/JPEG, "image/gif" for GIF, and "image/x-bmp" for BMP. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:13, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Yaksha

I can't believe you haven't noticed, but even Konami has released an article about the Structure Deck, and they are called "Avatars", not "Beasts". That site is no longer official, at least to me. It constantly messes up names. Just because it is not a fan-run site doesn't make it official. I'm not even sure if they are even affiliated with Yu-Gi-Oh! (they probably just translate the cards' names without consulting any official sources). Anyway, if they're wrong on this card and the Enthusiastic monsters when they're released, I suggest we don't use them as sources anymore. MadRest 23:30, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

You're talking about the Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha website? The one run by Viz Media? The company that licensed the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series for North American distribution, and works directly with Konami on promotional events, information releases, and promo card releases? And you're seriously suggesting that the site isn't official, or affiliated with Yu-Gi-Oh!?
If they're wrong on this card, the only thing it means is that they had preliminary information to work with, and it changed between the time they got it and the time the card was actually released in English. It does not change the fact that their information came straight from Konami. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:01, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not saying that they're not official; I'm just not sure. For starters, this card was revealed along with High Avatar, so why wasn't this card changed to Avatar when it was logical that the others would use something similar? My guess is they don't receive confirmation on most cards, and for the ones they don't, they make up their own names. However, since Fire King Avatar is already a confirmed archetype, there's no reason for only this card to be left as is, only because a half-official site says so. It goes without saying that Yaksha is an "Avatar". They won't make only him be a "Beast", and then add exceptions to "Fire King Avatar Garunix". MadRest 00:13, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
There's nothing to not be sure about. The site is completely controlled by Viz Media; the only part that's open to the public for modification is article comments, which we're not discussing here. Konami owns the franchise outright, Viz Media is the official North American licensor of the manga and a major news outlet for the North American card game, and the site is directly controlled by Viz. I really don't know how much more confirmation you could possibly need.
As for the specific question of Yaksha's English name, currently the most recent official source we have lists his name with "Beast" instead of "Avatar", so that's what we use until we get a newer official source that changes it. It doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense or fit with the rest of the archetype; it's still an official name, and the only one (or at the very least, the most recent one) we currently have, so it's the one we have to use. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:21, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
And if it doesn't, are we just going to completely ignore the fact they messed up? MadRest 00:23, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
If it doesn't what? It's not our place to call them on messing up a name. For all we know, Konami have some deeper plan that somehow involves Yaksha using "Beast" instead of "Avatar" (I'm not actually saying they do, but see how easily conjecture can go in either direction?). The simple fact is, we could spend all day second-guessing Konami, saying "they couldn't possibly be doing that", but at the end of the day, if they want to, all the reason and logic and fanslator bellyaching in the world isn't going to stop them. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:30, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not saying that. It just that if they are wrong for this card, if a situation arises again when an archetype name is different than a previously released card, or when a card name is extremely obvious to guess based on other related cards, and this site says otherwise, we will go with what logic dictates. MadRest 00:36, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
No, we won't, because that's second-guessing them. They could be wrong literally every single time they feature a card name, but because they're an official source, as long as they're the only source we have for a given card's English name, we must use the name they list. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:39, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
A half-official source, not an official source. They lose their credibility if they are wrong more than twice. Also, we do archetype names for anime cards, even though the episode isn't in America yet. Isn't that also considered second-guessing, according to you? And this time, we have another semi-official source, the other Avatars already confirmed by the TCG. It is not the same case as when a stand-alone card is announced. Cards that belong to an archetype are handled with second-guessing on this wiki. MadRest 00:47, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
Being wrong does not make a source "half-official". Your view on credibility is irrelevant and it is also subjective. If there is an official English name, we use it, period. An official English name =/= the TCG name. A card can have multiple official English names. This is no different than the English dub using a different translation from the TCG. The name is official, archetypes be damned. Its likely it will be "Avatar" when its released. If that happens, we move the article then and note "Beast" using the "altname" parameter. There is nothing to be discussed. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:54, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
In addition, we "do archetype names for anime cards" only when the card in question does not have an English name from some other official source. Direct names in official sources always trump consistent usage of an official archetype name. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:06, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Tralala

Yo, Dino. So, just wondering, is there some automatic way of completing a list like this? There are 56 disks, and it'd be nice for us to have the list completed (I have pics for many of the missing covers as well), but it took me some damn while to type the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! GX DVD listing and Yu-Gi-Oh! (first series anime) VHS listing manually, and I'm sorta bleh to add 20 more disks manually in another list. *__* LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 03:36, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

I think the closest I could come to automation right now would be a template for the table layout. Making the lists fully automatic would require articles on all the DVD releases, with someone to think about the design of the SMW properties so they'd actually be useful in building the lists. I'm also not sure there'd be any clean way to incorporate the boxset information in the way it's presented on the GX list, but that can be changed as necessary (the simplest way would be to break it out into its own table specifically for the boxsets). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:02, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
I think it'd look nice to have DM classified by Boxes as well like GX, but I can't find the scans of 'em, so don't worry 'bout that part. :/
So, you plan on making the template? Not asking you do to it, just to know. If you do I'll wait. Otherwise I'll start typing shit down right away. xD LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:33, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
I don't have any immediate plan to do so, mostly because right now a template wouldn't actually be much simpler than the raw markup. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:25, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Audio Uploads

SALUTATIONS, DINOGUY!!

Listen, I've heard from LegendaryAsariUgetsu that you're a knowledgeable tech guy. I sent Deltaneos the following response below regarding the shortening of .ogg files on here. Maybe you could try to solve this in the most utilitarian manner possible? Thanks!!

Message:

Thanks for the great feedback with what I did. I sure as hell DON'T think you're being a pain at all regarding this--these copyright Nazis that satiate our free world are getting on my nerves (I know how this feels--I had to cancel THREE YouTube accounts over this past summer because a couple of FAN-MADE Anime Music Videos (AMVs) that I made for FUN were blocked due to said grounds being violated. I can't help it that I have that much of a LOVE for the series. It makes me wonder if TvTokyo is as anal about their material as Disney is about their stuff!!? >;[ )

Anyway, I just wanted to vent about that because it's just a shame. Other than that though, if abridging the audio tracks to <=30 seconds long is how it has to be on this Wikia, then I don't mean to seem lazy but as a senior college student with a lot of things I need to do, I'm formulating this in my head and I think that doing this for the hundreds of more tracks to go may be pretty time-consuming for me, especially since it seems that given that the audio tracks for the Sound Duels tracks pages is still pretty incomplete, it seems that not a lot of the users on this page has a lot of the tracks themselves.

To make the above discourse shorter and simpler, is there a way that I can email, upload or import a folder, containing all the .ogg Sound Duel files I have so that way, another user who has MUCH more time on their hands can access, download and shorten them? In my opinion, I don't think I'm the best person to tediously cut every audio file down. I apologize for a request like this but if this Copyright Nazi manner didn't apply here, I'd still be going onwards and upwards with the Sound Duel-related pages and .oggs.

Thanks!--ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 18:28, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

--ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 20:37, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

I think your best bet would probably be to find someone willing to do the shortening, and then (depending on how large the collection of tracks is, in terms of total file size) email them the collection, or upload it to a file sharing website that only keeps files for a limited time. As for how to actually go about preparing the collection for upload/download, I would recommend using 7-Zip to compress the folder into a .7z archive (because really, there's all of no reason for anyone ever to not have 7-Zip already; it's just that awesome (certainly much more so than WinRar) =D ). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:08, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Language

What was the language that you posted in Delta's User page, Chinese or Japanese? When I tried put on one for my User Page, it only displayed half of what I can using... --iFredCat 00:07, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Never mind my previous comment - I don't get that they're missing F and C in Barian language... So I am curious of how you speaking "The Black Cat" in Astral words...? --iFredCat 00:13, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Considering Astral just consists of super-stylized katakana characters, the first thing is to determine an appropriately Engrish reading of "The Black Cat" (because I'm too lazy to try and find the "standard" transliteration of it into kana =D ): I'd end up with something like "za burakku kyatto". Typing that into Google Translate with the "Input Method" option enabled nets us ザ ブラック キャット, which is helpfully translated back as "The Black Cat", confirming our Engrishification of the original phrase. Now, we can just plug that into Astral glyphs, leaving us with ザブラックキャット (obviously, there're still some things the template doesn't cover). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:31, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Interesting... guess I have to waiting until the show confirm all letter and er... number in both languages. Thank you for give a details of what I had to using. --iFredCat 00:41, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
The other way of writing it is to use the Japanese words for "(The) Black Cat", which are Kuro Neko (黒猫くろねこ), like in "Black Cat With a White Tail". The Astral for that is くろねこ (くろねこ). -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:45, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Interesting enough... I guess I will using that one. But for my NAME! Where's the C and where's the F!?!? --iFredCat 00:53, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Barian is used for writing Japanese romaji. There's no naturally occurring "c" in Japanese, so it's possible it won't have a Barian letter. Unfortunately, Falzar hasn't found a Barian "f" yet, so we don't have an image of one. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:07, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Therefore I have to put in my name as "-redVat" instead of the usually "FredCat"... gee! (The dash in early titling word is just cover up the missing letter; F) --iFredCat 01:14, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
I would actually suggest using a "K" in place of the "C", instead of a "V": "-redKat"; -redKat. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:03, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
No wondered why I forgot about that one... *grumpy as I stormed to my User Page* --iFredCat 03:11, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, now that I think about it, you could also use a "V" in place of the "F" for now: it's not a perfect replacement, but the sound is close enough to serve as a stand-in until we get the actual "F" glyph: x25pxredKat. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:17, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Material in lores

I was going to add the rule at the beginning of each Dark Synchro Monster's lore to Anime card, but it comes between the material and the lore itself. We currently input the material using both the "material" and "lore" parameters. Is there any advantage to doing it with both or can we drop it from "lore"? And if we do, should we have it display in just its row, just the lore box or both? -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:59, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

I think probably, having it display just in the lore box and removing it from the lore parameter proper should be fine; we can always change how it displays later if we don't like it for whatever reason. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:04, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
I forgot to mention, manga cards don't mention the material in their lore, except for D Team, which uses OCG cards. We could put the material outside the lore box for manga cards or are we going to want something consistent? -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:03, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

I ask this because it is still used on pages for Types, such as Pyro and Machine. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:05, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

Truth be told, I'm not completely sure we actually need an infobox template for Type pages. I remember someone else saying the same; I think it was Delt, but don't hold me to it. Probably what needs done for now is to start a discussion in the forum asking what others think: whether they think there should be an Infobox Type, why or why not, and if yes, what info they think should be in it. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:08, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

Yep, just add "collapsible" to the table's classes:

cell 2
You can control its initial state (whether it is collapsed or expanded when the page is loaded) by also using the "collapsed" or "expanded" class, respectively:
This table is always expanded at first.

I'm not 100% sure on it myself, but the reason I uploaded those is because they're the only place in the game that shows what card has what number. DM1 featured 365 cards (including the 15 secret cards), and DM2 added 355 more cards to that list, featuring 720 in total. According to our info and what I've found, DM3 added 80 more cards, featuring a round 800, but I haven't seen any direct confirmation, and we're missing almost all of the card images from it. DDS, from what I understand, should be a fairly straightforward port of DM3, and so feature much the same card list. Talking about this? Yeah, that's getting annoying. What needs to happen is for all those sublists to be merged together and the headers removed, and then somehow add links to the articles that already cover per-pack card lists and expand that list to list all the cards featured in DD Plus.
That being said, length is an issue I've been giving thought to. The Tag Force games, for instance, have several thousand cards apiece, which would not at all be very nice to contain in a single list; perhaps it would be better to use the card list itself to list those cards that don't appear in packs, and then simply link out somehow to the booster pages, which handle listing the rest of the cards in a given game. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:42, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Template error

At File:GogogoGolem-DL15-EN-R-UE-Blue.png, I tried adding in the OCG-TCG card image template, but then I got something wonky. Is it because of the last word "Blue" in the title? The wonky formatting from before is because didn't exist yet; I created it. The template still shows that the file is misnamed, though, because I never got around to properly and fully supporting "extra" tags in the filename (such as the "Blue" used here); you can ignore the misnamed notice since it's not correct. I'll eventually (hopefully in the near future, but we'll have to see) be completely rewriting that template from the ground up, at which time I'll do a better job of having it support the extra tags. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:18, March 2, 2013 (UTC)

Side Project

Hey Dinoguy, wanted to see if you wouldn't mind taking a look at my little project I've been working on. It's pretty much working, a few issues to fix here and there. But basically I built a giant Yu-Gi-Oh! checklist system for TCG and OCG. I finally got to a point where I needed some way to keep track of my collection and I couldn't find a good checklist anywhere that was complete or up to date. So I built one. TGCDT
I'm still tinkering with it quite a bit, so some parts may work some may not. -.- But yeah its searchable by card name, set name, and set abb. You can filter the results by the tab buttons, and the side menu lets you work on your collection, your trade list, or your wish list. Still working on decks. And if you double click on the card name it will send you to the wikia. I still need to add the rest of the European sets, and quite a few more names but all the English, Japanese, and Korean sets are in it at the moment. Let me know what you think or if it something breaks on you. This thing is still in beta so expect alot of bugs. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 02:07, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Haha, forgot that I haven't fixed the Spell and Trap Type alignment yet. :P Ignore that bit for now... Look234 (talkcontribs) 02:17, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
My very first thought is "how are you storing passwords"? I see a few problems there immediately:
  • An account's password is generated by the system; it only generates a four-digit password (or that's all it did for my account).
  • This password is transmitted in plaintext via email, but the user is not asked to change it on first login (!!!). This suggests the password is stored in plaintext. A better method (even better than simply asking the user to change their password after first login) would be to generate a random URL that gets emailed to the user that, when clicked, confirms their account, logs them in, and asks them to choose a password.
  • There doesn't seem to be any way to change or reset an account's password (never offer to recover passwords, because if you're storing them properly, that's impossible ;) ).
The ideal method to store passwords is with bcrypt - be sure to use a standard library rather than trying to roll your own code; that's just asking for trouble. =)
I suppose now I should actually dig into the functionality proper, shouldn't I? XD ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:21, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Yep the account creation system was implemented only a little while ago, the passwords are stored in a md5 hash, its not much but for now to avoid them being just plain text. And I need to add the form to change the users passwords as well as the avatar image. Working on a lot of filtering for image uploading protection right now. But yeah about 95% of this thing has been made from scratch, I'll look into the bcrypt though! Look234 (talkcontribs) 02:27, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Cool, there's a lot of info out there on doing passwords properly so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding help. =)
A more immediate concern, though, is that I can't figure out how to get my collection to "stick" - if I add a card to my collection by pressing the + button between the set number and card name to expand its info and then pressing the + button to the right of the count field, I can press the - button between the set number and card name to re-collapse the info and the row turns green, but the info doesn't seem to be saved: my "My English Collection" number doesn't increase, and navigating away and then back makes the rows turn back to their normal color and the numbers to reset. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:30, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Mkay try refreshing and now when you add a card it should have a pop up telling you whats going through. if the Value and ID are blank then its not grabbing the data and its a JS/JQuery issue, if it shows up then its a php issue. >.< Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:14, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

I've disabled ScriptSafe (did that by accident while blindly clicking to get an info page) and refreshed, the popup appears with information when I do stuff, but nothing gets updated. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:20, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, took out the $_SESSION data bit on the php file, its now hard coded to your English checklist right now. See if that does anything, if not then I need to dig a little deeper... Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:27, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
If that doesn't work the most I can figure is something on your end doesn't like my update collection script. The flow is the user clicks on the + button to add a card which calls a jQuery function which sends the data that you see in the pop up to the update script. The script then uses the $_SESSION data to work on the correct file, it opens the file which is stored in JSON format and turns it into an array. It checks to see if the array exists, had an early bug without this where it erased my collection -_-, and if it exists then checks to see if that version is already there if the update the amount if not the add the version and the amount. If you can think of anything in this that might be where its getting caught let me know. Most I can think is something on your side doesn't like the call to the the update script or if it makes it that far then it has a problem with opening the file and writing to it. I'm change the update script to send a conformation message if it makes it that far. AS I said before thank you very much for this. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:43, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Haha so much text, I added an alert that should tell you whether the jQuery .post() succeeds or not. Slowly I will narrow this thing down. >.< Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:51, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry about the silence, got sidetracked for a while...
Still not working, but I did get all three alerts (success, second success, and finished). I finally thought to check the data inspector: the error console is reporting two "Uncaught ReferenceError: checkValue is not defined" errors. Let me know if you need more info. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:52, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
No worries, okay took out the checkValue(), it was a remnant from a previous version for checking the divs, it didn't actually have a function anymore but that might be part of it. And I think something went through from your end I checked the file and it says that your collection has 1 JUMP-EN061. Not sure if that was you or me fiddling but if your collection in the corner isn't updated then there is still a problem. Look234 (talkcontribs) 04:01, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Refreshed and trying again; the errors are gone. UI still isn't updating though, and my collection shows as empty.
A couple other notes: the console shows that there's an image resource that's 500 Internal Server Error'ing out (http://ygo.tgcdt.com/images/ui-bg_flat_75_ffffff_40x100.png), and it has a couple warnings that the Twitter widget being used is deprecated and will stop functioning soon. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:09, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Okay got rid of those errors the console should be clean now. And the success alert now returns if the php function actually makes it or if not where it gets stuck with hopefully a somewhat specific message. Man sorry about this, this was supposed to be more like "Hey look at this thing I made!" not dive into the internal structure. Look234 (talkcontribs) 04:23, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Yep, error console's clear. =)
All alerts return fine, but the UI still isn't updating other than the card row bg turning green. I tried adding 1 JUMP-EN037. I'm starting to think this is a problem on my end, rather than a bug in the site coding. =/
Don't worry about it, I find this kind of stuff interesting so it's not a big deal. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:35, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Glad its not too much of a bother ^_^, and again it looks like something might have come through. For giggles try adding 5 more JUMP-EN037, I'll see if it shows up here. If it does than its an issue reading the file with your data, if this works than I think I know what to do to fix it. ^o^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 04:42, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Added (I'd love to actually have 6 of that, but alas...). Once again, all dialogs popped up with expected/normal info, but no UI changes. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:57, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Resetting indent, BAM! It showed up! ^o^ So its an issue with the $_SESSION variable, just need to put the needed $_SESSION variables in a hidden variable, rip it with some jQuery and pass it through. Let see if I can do that really quick. Also yeah I would love six copies as well, but hey at least its been reprinted twice. Look234 (talkcontribs) 05:02, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Kk, just let me know when to refresh and retry stuff then. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:03, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Mkay try refreshing, for now just to prove to myself that this is the issue I hard coded the other calls. If this works you should see your collection count updated and JUMP-EN037 highlighted and the increment buttons should hopefully work. There might be a slight delay on the collection count going up, right now it has a 5 second delay, I think, for rechecking. Look234 (talkcontribs) 05:09, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Ooh, I got UI updates even before refreshing! (I refreshed anyways by reflex) Everything looks like it's working now; I'll try some other stuff. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:14, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Awesome, for now its hard coded to your English Collection, it will stay like that till I add in the fix for the $_SESSION problem. But you can still hop over to the other languages by clicking on the abb under the search form. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 05:17, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Awesome, I've already got a few sets entered in; this is a lot of fun (certainly a lot more than writing out lists for new sets ^^ ). =)
So, a feature suggestion or six ( XD ):
  • A built-in per-set listing feature, instead of requiring to search by part of the set number.
  • Branching off of that, some method to quickly view the gaps in your collection for a given set (maybe filterable by edition?).
  • Viewing others' collections (I'm guessing this is planned, but it doesn't hurt to explicitly request it, right? =) ). Users should be able to disable their collections being publically viewable, and I'm not sure what the default should be, but if visibility defaults to public (or open, or whatever you choose to call it) that needs to be shown to the user up-front so they can change it if they want.
  • Some way to submit corrections, in the off-chance a user comes across a piece of information that's incorrect.
  • A distinction between Magic and Spell prints of cards where that's the only difference between the prints (IIRC, there're cards like this in LOB and MRD), though the user should probably have an option to ignore this difference if they want. (I have a feeling this one'll require some research to find what cards would actually be affected by this, which is where the previous suggestion comes into play ;) )
  • An import/export feature.
I'm sure I'll think of other things as I go. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:39, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Haha, I swear just about all those things you listed are on my to-do list on my whiteboard. :D
  • I'm working on another tab for sets, instead of the buttons it will put the data in the iframe and list all the sets and their abbreviations along with the count for the how many of that edition you have / the total number. When you double click on the set name it would pull it up in the current list you were working in. I already have the set lists going, they are automatically generated so I don't have to update them. XD Just need to add the counts and the links.
  • I did have a filter by edition before I changed the structure, I can add it back in. ^_^
  • Yeah this is a big thing I'm working on, I'm trying to design a smart way to do this so you can also give people a link to your collection. I'm adding a search for user bit on the home page or user page, haven't decided yet. And I'll add a kind of friend bit so you can see your friends collections as well.
  • Yeah I know I probably have quite a few errors in the other language names, some I had to just Google translate because nobody had it. -_- But yeah I'm setting up an email account just for this or a file that lists and dates it the errors. I'll add a link on the Menu for this.
  • Didn't think about that, but I should be able to set up something. Right now all the constant card data is stored in a MySQL table with their number as a primary key so I don't get duplicates. So I'll need to create an exception somewhere.
  • On the export any suggestions on what formats to export as? The import is a different story if it is based of an export from this site then it should be okay but if its something like the old Pojo excel sheet then I think for now I'll hold off unless there are enough people out there that want it. ^_^
Yeah I still have a ways to go I've spent alot of time just gathering the raw data for this thing. T-T That's been rough, but it's getting there. Any other sugestions are very much so welcomed. And just a side note I'm also working with a friend on a Pokemon version as well, he is getting the data for that one while I work on the infrastructure, so I hop between the two. So if you don't see any updates on the Yu-Gi-Oh one for a bit I've just hopped over there for a while. But yeah I'll be working on those things on the lists and many more, I'll fix the password jazz first though. -.- But yeah to keep your talk page from getting too swamped I'll post updates I do to the database on the site's homepage. Thanks again for your help and I hope you like it, after it moves along a bit more I'll throw it out to some other people. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 06:15, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Great minds think alike? =D
  • Awesome, can't wait to see it. =)
  • Cool.
  • OIC.
  • May want to take the time to set up a page that lists submitted corrections, so people can see what's known. From there, it wouldn't be too much work (famous last words =D ) to configure it so accounts with admin or editor or whatever privileges could review and accept/modify/reject submitted fixes.
  • Whatever you do, it'd probably be best to try and make it generic so you can use it for other stuff too; differences can pop up in the most unexpected places after all. ;)
  • Not sure, since I don't normally utilize import/export functionality in stuff, though I think having some feature whereby a user could select specific things to import/export may be a good idea, at least in the long term.
I saw the PKMN version, and noticed that logins work across both of them; unified logins are a definite plus. =) Also interested in seeing what other card games you eventually expand this to; if you do it right you could end up with a backend that makes adding new games fairly easy. Don't worry too much about my talk page, either; recently it's been pretty inactive anyways. XD (and don't forget to get the $_SESSION fix in place before sharing with more people, I'd rather not have my collection become everybody's collection! XD ) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:25, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Found one omission already, BTW: the Ultra Rare JMP-EN005 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from Ultimate Edition 1. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:40, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Haha no worries your collection is safe, I've shut down the account creation till I get it fixed and my friend just does Pokemon so no worries there. And that card is in there. I think it's just having trouble due to the fact that it was printed in two different sets with two different rarities but the same set number. Nice catch!
I thought unified logins would be nice, you will also be able to have a different avatar for the different games. And that's the plan, to eventually get the shell built and any game can be added, just takes time to get all the data. XP
  • For the error page yeah, I think I'll go that direction and keep a log that shows what needs to be done and what's been done. Hopefully it shouldn't be to bad to set up.
  • Yeah the worst so far has been Mecha Phantom Beast Token, freaking thing broke a bunch of rules. -_- Yu-Gi-Oh has to be the kindest so far, Pokemon has been brutal and we haven't even started on the Japanese cards yet. Doing this has made me appreciate our wiki, Pokemon is very lacking in their card list department.
  • The import/export bit I'll save for later when I can get some more suggestions for types and see what kind of demand there is.
I'll keep you up to date then on changes, I will forewarn you that they will probably be infrequent. I hop from the infrastructure to data gather on both sites. But I should have the $_SESSION bit fixed soon and have the password bit encrypted and changeable. I'll try to catch you here when I have a fix for the $_SESSION bit going so you can see if it works on your side. I'm going to crash for now, been up a while. -.- But I'll probably have that stuff fixed sometime tomorrow. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 06:49, March 15, 2013 (UTC)
Cool, cool. =) And I wouldn't have caught it if I didn't have a copy (actually two!) of it (too bad I don't have a copy of the JUMP promo, I'd love an ScR version of it decorating my binder...). ;)
Maybe have an indicator showing what games a user has a collection for, then, with links to go straight there? (once again, with appropriate privacy controls)
Cool, keep me posted. Also, I'm not making any promises, but I may be willing to go through some corrections from time to time if I'm able (hint hint). ;)
BREAK ALL THE RULES! I dunno what your plans are after you get the PKMN stuff to a state you're comfortable leaving it at, but I'd personally suggest that you pursue a game as different from PKMN/YGO as you can find, since that'll force you to confront all the little assumptions you've made and that PKMN and YGO were similar enough to allow you to get away with to that point. ;)
That's fine, it's in your roadmap at least. =)

New day, new section

Resetting indent, Mkay ready for error testing, first try loggin out and logging back in and the go to SESSION test and let me know what shows up. It should show the current $_SESSION data stored on you side that I need, as far as I can tell you do have some $_SESSION data due to the fact that your username shows up in the top right corner. But for some reason its not going through to the other pages, because the only difference between whats going on now with it now hard coded and before is inserting your username and the other data via $_SESSION into a string to call the right file. Also I put back the pop up it should return what $_SESSION data is present when you try adding a card. One more thing to check is see if when you got to your user page it says "Hello Dinoguy1000 and welcome to your page!" Hopefully from what you get from those tests I can narrow this thing down. Because the only idea I have at thing point is your side isn't storing the $_SESSION data, or if it is there is trouble either getting it on another page or just plain reading the data. Thanks again! ^_^Look234 (talkcontribs) 19:01, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Viewing my page shows "Hello dinoguy1000 and welcome to your page! -_-' Still working on it...".
Okay, I have been logging in using the username "dinoguy1000" up to now (with a lowercased "d"), but I just tried logging in with "Dinoguy1000" (with an uppercase "D" instead; this is the form I registered with) and now when I view my home page, I get a nice pie chart that wasn't there before. It sounds, then, like you're not properly canonicalizing user names (or whatever you'd like to call it); how much you wanna bet that's the problem?
And another bug report: there's a discrepancy in the count between what's shown in the upper-right corner under my name and what's shown when I view my collection; the upper-right count is "1068 (1938) / 23620", but the collection count is "968 results". I hope there's not cards getting lost in the shuffle somewhere? =/
And one last thought: I'm not sure how you're storing and handling cards internally currently, but it'd probably be best over the long-term to do so with an internal ID that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with any of the card's info, since that way you can guarantee 100% that you won't have to worry about card collisions where two (or more! =O ) cards end up with the same ID/key/whatever. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:21, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Man if it is the upper/lower case thing I'm going to kick myself. T-T Mkay try it now with upper case Dinoguy1000, if its working you should see your collection and be able to add cards. And the count is just off on the results, its counting the number of divs not the number of versions inside the divs. Need to fix that. But yeah the number in the corner is No. of different versions you have (Total amount of cards you have) / Total number of different versions, and by versions I mean every printed version so each edition and each rarity of that edition. Look234 (talkcontribs) 22:16, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry vanished there, had to take some calls. But yeah looks like you were right the usernames were being stored in case insensitive, so that should be fixed now. ^_^ And yeah see if it still lets you log in with dinoguy1000, if it doesn't than the problem should be solved. It's always the little things you never think about. -.- And I've thought about taking of the primary key status for the sql table the cards are stored in, that would allow me to differentiate between say SPELL and MAGIC types. And I'll get working on the password bit and fixing the result count. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 00:12, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
The count should be fixed now! Look234 (talkcontribs) 00:19, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Not a problem, that's more important than this (at least, I'd hope). =)
Trying to log in as dinoguy1000 just shows the login form again. That'll work for now, but the ideal solution would be for login to ignore case, but for everything else to use the casing the user specified on signup - if you handle users via ID instead of via username, this should be much simpler (notice a theme here? handle everything via IDs instead of names/other identifiers, and it clears up a lot of issues ;) ).
Count is fixed, thanks for your attention. =)
Another feature request: being able to add/remove cards to your collection without having to click the + next to each card to expand the actual count portion; that gets pretty tedious if you're adding a bunch of cards in one shot (though I'm not sure how the presentation would work for that). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:35, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
I see what your saying with the ID, that shouldn't be too hard to set up. No trouble on the count. ^_^ And for the +/expand button, I built a button earlier that opens all the divs, but it has trouble when the amount of results returned gets > 2000. But I can set it up again, or I could set the divs to always be open, I just did the show hide bit to simplify the shown data. Let me know! Look234 (talkcontribs) 00:45, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
It would probably be better to start paginating results past a certain number, maybe 500 or so (that should be plenty big enough for any set that'll ever see the light of day), though that means sorting won't work completely properly for lists bigger than that... hmm. Tradeoffs, tradeoffs... ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:49, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

Updates

Hey, the sets tab is now working, its not been beautified yet but it works. Click on the set name to bring up cards in the set. It also lists the amount in each edition and the count in bold that you have. Should work for all the languages, the European languages are incomplete at the moment. I still need to add in the rest of the sets. Also the Ultra Rare JMP-EN005 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon error was fixed so he is showing up now. ^_^ User's data is now stored using ID numbers, so there should be no trouble there now. Passwords are now encrypted and changable. Check the email you gave me for a message from Luffy. I'll change the create an account bit so it makes the user pick their password when they first create their account. Still working on the viewing other users collection jazz, little harder to pull off that I previously thought. -.- Trying to come up with a way to give people a link to see your collection/tradelist/wishlist. But it's still on the top of my to-do list. I'm also working on an upload form for user's avatar images. I'll add the Edition filters in later along with the ATK and DEF filters. So much to do. >_< Look234 (talkcontribs) 08:35, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Email received, and password changed. And on that note, some more bugs:
  • If you enter anything into the username or password fields before the page is finished loading, when it does finish, anything entered gets blanked.
  • I wasn't able to log in with "dinoguy1000"; it drops me at this blank page.
  • Searching by set number seems to be broken; searching for "lob", for example, only returns Mad Lobster and Metabo Globster.
  • Adding cards still produces the debug dialog popups; you'll probably want to remove those now. =)
And now for some feature/enhancement requests/suggestions:
  • The sets tab should only list the sets you have cards from, with an option to list all sets in the system (for the given language). Alternately, make this change depending on whether you've clicked "View my collection" or "Edit my collection": the former should hide sets you don't have cards from by default, and the latter should show them.
  • The sets tab should display the total number of copies of cards you have in a given set, as well as the number of different prints of a given edition, probably the simplest way to display this would be in parentheses to mirror the display in the upper-right corner: "Prints (Copies) / Total prints". For that matter, maybe ditch the parentheses surrounding the count as a whole in favor of colons+semicolons or pipes or something: "1st: count; Unlimited: count" or "1st: count | Unlimited: count" or the like.
  • Currently, the row styling for "owned" cards is applied dynamically (whether by the addition of a class name or inline CSS; I'm not sure which since I haven't looked (not that it really matters ^_^ )); it would speed up page load and render times some (especially for queries that return several hundred cards or more (lol big collections)) to just apply a class server-side and style the "owned" rows via a CSS stylesheet. You'll still have to rely on Javascript to update the styles as users edit their collection, but this change would make loading itself much snappier.
  • For that matter, the "owned" styling doesn't get applied (or removed) until the row is collapsed or the list is reloaded; having it apply when the button is clicked would be a good visual indicator that the click registered.
That's all I can think of/have noticed for now, so one last question: surely you've peeked at my collection while working on this, so any thoughts? Keep in mind it's not complete yet; I still have four three-inch binders crammed full of boosters and one with Starters and Structures to go through (what's in there is my other Starter/Structure binder, my promos/misc binder, and almost everything that isn't bindered yet). =D ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 09:13, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Hehe, more updates

Huzzah for sporadic updates! First got the basic principles working for viewing other peoples collections, at least the giving them a link part. See if it works look234. Its not pretty by any means yet, but it works for other people being able to view your page even if they don't have an account. I'm going to add a bar like when searching, that blue bit with the sort buttons, that will have a link to their collection/tradelist/wishlist and allow the person to view said list if the owner gives permission. Still need to add permissions. -.- But the main user page will contain basic stats on their collection. If you have some ideas of what should be displayed let me know, I'm just making this up as I go. ^_^ As for errors/bugs,

  • Fixed the set abbreviation search problem.
  • Think I managed to fix the erasing log in problem. Let me know if it still happens on your side.
  • Removed the test pop ups.
  • Should be able to log in using case insensitive username.

For the feature/enhancement:

  • The set list tab now will only show sets you have if viewing your collection. I'll add in a bit later that will highlight the set if you have all the cards in it for ease of viewing.
  • Still playing with the formatting on the counts. For now they are changed to match the top corner count style. "Prints (Copies) / Total prints"
  • And I think I got all the styling fixed, automatic color change and set CSS style for card, no more post load change. ^_^

And your collection is pretty sweet as far as I've seen. o.O Once you add in the other binders I'm sure you will have me beat count wise and card wise. I'm about half way done entering in mine I think. Just curious how do you collect? I started by getting leftover cards from friends and then gave that early collection away. Then started back up with SD1/SD2 and very slowly bought old collections on ebay. Only recently, like Return of the Duelist recently, did I have money to grab a box of each new main set. So my collection is very hit a miss, I haven't started to fill in the gaps quite yet. But I'm interested in how you collect. ^_^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 22:58, March 22, 2013 (UTC)

Yep, I can view your page just fine, and a bit of math based on the number of Commons and the percentage of your entered collection that they comprise suggests you've entered about 3950 cards so far (I got 3948 and a decimal). XD
As for more info... hmm. This is something I've been thinking about since I realized you were already showing a breakdown-by-rarity on an account's "My Page" page, but I seem to be just about as short of ideas as you. Perhaps providing a numerical table of the rarity breakdown to accompany the graph, which includes a "total" row? And maybe some statistics on languages and sets, too (for that matter, does the "My Page" page currently account for all languages you have marked as owning cards in? seems like it'd be an easy thing to overlook just having it look at your English collection)... Other than that, maybe some general high-level account info, like date joined, and maybe allow users to specify their location?
  • Search by set does seem to work again, and you also seem to have changed the default sort order to set number - that was another thing bugging me before, but I never thought to mention it. =)
  • Still happening for me. Also, I didn't check with this latest update, but I know after the last one, I wasn't able to log into the PKMN database at all - not with my original password, or the reset one, or the one I've changed it to, and not with either capitalization of my username. More generally, having a unified login across the databases would be good, so that it would log you in on all of them if you log in on one (not sure if I've already said this one ^^ ).
  • Speaking of, case-insensitive username login works now, though it looks like you're still not handling it quite right (my username as displayed depends on how I log in: if I log in with "dinoguy1000", it is displayed in lowercase, but if I use "Dinoguy1000", that's how it's displayed): if usernames are supposed to be case-insensitive, then you should be using the user IDs internally everywhere, and thus displaying a user's username becomes a lookup; this lets a user specify a preferred capitalization on registration and then log in without having to worry about matching the capitalization, but still have the interface reflect it (not as important to you or me, but there are definitely people out there who have such a preference).
  • And one more login-related bug: logging out now does not properly update the interface; my collection count is removed, but I am still shown as being logged in until I reload the entire page (simply clicking a link in the left navigation menu doesn't cause an update).
  • Cool, the sets display all looks good so far. =)
  • Awesome, loading seems much smoother now. =)
I started back probably shortly after it was released in the US (maybe in 2003?), my friend had a sizeable collection and he gave me a bunch of Common dupes he had; I still have most of them today. Since then, most of my collection growing has consisted of buying random stuff from the local Walmart when I've had spare money, which isn't too often unfortunately (though I got lots of Force of the Breaker while I was working, so it's one of the most complete main-series boosters in my collection), though I have also gotten a few other peoples' collections (including a pretty sizeable one from a friend who moved a couple states over; that's the one a lot of my promos came from). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:02, March 23, 2013 (UTC)
Very close, according to my count I have 3955 entered so far. Haha you are right I still had a call to username instead of the ID. That should be fixed now. The Pokemon log in problem might be that I haven't updated the code on that side yet. I will check.
  • Hmm, the log in erasing fix worked fine here. I'll double check though. ^_^
  • I get a slight linger of my username and title but it refreshes in a few seconds to the log in. Let me know if after say 4 sec if it doesn't change.
The user page is a big work in progress. And the rarity chart is hard coded to the English collection for now. I'm designing a layout for it right now. Hopefully it will allow for the user to give a description of themselves, show their avatar, have stats on each of their language collections, and when another user views their page have buttons to switch between the languages they have cards in while updating the displayed stats accordingly. Once I have the user page cleaned up a bit and the set list tab then I'll open up the account creation again and see if anyone else would want to try this thing out. ^_^
I remember when I was given peoples common cards, I loved it. ^_^ I really didn't have any spending money till college so whatever someone offered I would grab. And at the moment I'm in between jobs so I wont be adding to my collection anytime soon. -.- Hopefully this database thing makes it easier to keep track of what cards you have though. That was what made me build this in the first place. :P Look234 (talkcontribs) 00:34, March 23, 2013 (UTC)
Cool, looks like the username capitalization is now working properly across the board. =) Logout also works as you described, but it would probably be better to have it force a full page reload, especially since it drops the person back on the home page anyways. And I just checked again, and it still clears the username/pw boxes if they have content before everything's finished loading, though now it takes a couple seconds after the loading finishes for it to happen.
Yeah, free swag is always awesome, that's how I got a decent chunk of my collection. XD
As for what I mentioned above (way, way above) about the Magic versus Spell thing, see User:Dinoguy1000/Magic vs. Spell; I finally got around to documenting it based on my collection. I haven't looked at any boosters yet (I think, in particular, that LOB does this), but I've done all I can with the Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, and Pegasus Starter Decks (though I won't promise I didn't manage to overlook a card somewhere ;) ). Note that this only covers North American English prints; that's all I have (I do have a bunch of Worldwide English LOB and MRD and European English MRD cards, but I'm not near those sets yet). In addition to what's listed there, if you edit the page you'll see I've listed in comments every card in my collection that mentions Magic or Spell Cards, even if I only had the Magic Card version (the comments after the uncommented cards, that read e.g. 1m1s are just counts for me to use after you get this added to the DB so I don't have to dig back through my collection to update my DB as needed =) ). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:26, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

Got it! And did a check again and also found I forgot the RP02-EN099 Limited Edition Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest from the US version blister as well. And I'm working on the Spell/Magic difference I need to change the way the cards are referenced in the tables to the way I do it in the Pokemon one. It will reference the raw card data based on the set number instead of the card number. This allows for me to add in other versions, like Spell/Magic, name changes i.e. Harpie's Brother to Sky Scout, misprint cards like SDRL-EN0010, and to add cards the we don't have card numbers for yet. So all around win win. It will take a little while to do but I will let you know when its changed, you won't see any changes till I activate it so the site should work as normal till then. Keep that list though I will need to use it when I work on it. And yeah that log in erase thing is a pain, I have another idea to fix it so I'll set that up in a bit. ^-^ Look234 (talkcontribs) 03:45, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
Also the new design made me realize that I needed to redo the early Japanese set numbering, the way it is right now if you checked off one it would check off all of them from that same set...errors, errors everywhere. -.- Look234 (talkcontribs) 05:50, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
As I suggested before, probably the best method in the long run would be to assign each card an internal ID number, completely separate from any set number or other identifier used in the game proper; this would give you the most flexibility in the future. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:03, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

There is no policy, really, it's just something I finally got around to doing. Custom cards really don't have a place on this wiki; they should instead be posted to YCM. We don't support them, and all they serve to do here is clutter up some of the Special:SpecialPages reports. Anti-Support

I'm sure that if an archetype is mentioned in a cards text, it is deemed support, whether or not it has a positive outcome on its user? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 08:12, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Nope. If a card effect is clearly harmful to an archetype (e.g. by preventing cards of that archetype being played), it's tagged as anti-support. Unfortunately, the way the whole thing is currently designed means that cards tagged as archetype anti-support won't display a relevant archetype navbox unless they are also tagged as a member, support, or a related card; since "Goblin Pothole Squad" is neither a member or support, the only option left is related. Fortunately, the card article redesign will address this with an explicit "anti-supports_archetypes" parameter. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:18, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Virus card

I don't understand, why do you say Virus Card is not an archetype?--Computer Bug (talkcontribs) 21:56, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

What we've been calling archetypes are groups of cards connected by having a common term in their name, while there are (support) cards which affect cards specifically having that term in their name. e.g. "Elemental HERO". "Virus Card" does not fit that criteria. In the manga, Virus Card is however a type of card like Spell Card and Trap Card. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:19, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Langggguage Broken

Alright, let's get on the... wait...
*Got out of my car and sat next you on the tea table*
Let's get on the business... I am fairly sure that you're aware about the code in the CardTable2 is broken? Yea, we need to get Russia, Czeck, Hungarian and few other languages to show up on the posting article, not only in Edit Box - like Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon for an example. It's just little funny that "Unofficial Name" has those listing but the cardtable don't show them at all. *sip a cup of tea* --iFredCat 23:33, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

The languages displayed in the table are supposed to be those that have an official media release of some kind, normally either the OCG/TCG, the anime, or the manga. That is, the languages that aren't displayed are ones that should never have official names. Personally, though, I've never been convinced that the distinction is made completely accurately, and it's always seemed like the type of thing the average reader would find arbitrary. The upcoming card page redesign will only display official names (with possible exceptions in certain cases) in the tables, and all names will be displayed in a separate "Names" section near the bottom of each page. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:01, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

V/W/X/Y/Z Archetypes

Jesus christ, doesn't that mean that every card with either "V", "W", "X", "Y" or "Z" in its name will be part of these archetypes? Or do capitals matter? Even then, cards like "The Agent of Creation - Venus" are a part of it...--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 12:14, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

Never mind, just realized what a massive fail I am. It's rendered in English in the card text of "Hyper Coat". xP--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 12:15, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I know your reply kinda obviates the need for this comment, but I already had it typed up and it seems a waste to just trash it... =D
I don't think there's ever been a situation where capitalization has been important for archetype classification, but I'm going with "yes it does" for this case. And yeah, every card with "V", "W", "X", "Y", and "Z" (or, rather, "V", "W", "X", "Y", and "Z") is a member of these archetypes. I'll be tagging all the members myself, assuming no one else pitches in, so the amount of work this creates is a non-issue. On the subject of simply having these archetypes separate, though, the only reason we don't already is because no one realized that "Hyper Coat" actually supported each letter separately until well after the overarching series was documented, and then no one felt like going through the trouble of properly updating our documentation of the whole thing. It's been bugging me pretty much since the day the whole thing was brought up, though, and I've already discussed it with the other main admins; no one else was opposed to it. That being said, if you object, I'd love to hear your reasoning. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 12:23, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, no, no. I don't object. I just looked at it and was like "Whoa. What a pain in the ass." but it actually isn't that bad, considering very few cards in the OCG have "V", "W", "X", "Y", or "Z" in their names. Also, as an example where capitalization matters in archetype classification, "HERO" is one.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 12:31, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
"HERO" is a case of it for the TCG, but as far as I'm aware, there is no case in the Japanese game where it comes in to play, and that is ultimately the only thing that matters for archetype classification (even the English "HERO" archetype being case-sensitive is ultimately only a reflection of the Japanese archetype support). And yeah, there aren't too many cards affected here, but there are still more than a few, so I'm gonna have to see if I can figure out how to have my bot add the archetype tagging. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 12:50, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

I don't mean to budge in, but do you really have to do this? I understand the reasoning behind it, but it's just a little annoying to see all these cards to be a part of those archetypes. It's like the knight archetype, but I could understand that one a little more than this.--Computer Bug (talkcontribs) 17:23, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

Strictly speaking, no, this isn't necessary, and we could get by without it just as we have up to now. But this is how we document archetypes, and VWXYZ was an exception to this that (as I mentioned above) always bugged me after I learned about it. I can understand how you may not necessarily care for properly documenting this now, but the concerns you raised aren't really big enough to change my mind on the matter. If you've got other reasons against it, though, I'm all ears. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:00, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
Well the card that is causing this whole ordeal is an anime-only card created before it was confirmed that even if a card has a archetype name in 1 word of it's name it is part of that archetype.--Computer Bug (talkcontribs) 18:14, May 15, 2013 (UTC)
the fact that the card predates our understanding of the underlying mechanics of archetypes really doesn't weigh into whether it's worth documenting these archetypes separately. Archetypes have worked the way they do since they were first introduced, quite apart from how we've documented them at any given point in time. And this isn't really much of an ordeal to properly document the archetypes - I'm the one who did most of the work to do so, and it's completely finished now, so the only person whose time I might have appreciably wasted in this is Cheesedude's, since he helped in tagging some of the cards (though (at the risk of putting words in his mouth) I doubt he'd consider it a waste of his time, either; he was on board with this from the beginning). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:25, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

Battle City Rules content removal

Hi Dinoguy1000,

It was me who removed Battle City content, sorry.

I deleted "Field Spell Cards can be activated during Battle Phase" because it is already written that non-quickplay spell cards can be activated during Battle Phase. -Shiv --122.149.212.217 (talk) 11:05, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Aah, I see now, thanks for pointing that out. Though it doesn't explain yet why you also removed the "A non-Quick Play Spell Card can be activated during your opponent's turn if it was set." item.
Part of what caused the confusion, by the way, was the fact that you didn't leave an edit summary explaining your edit; you can do this by typing in a short explanation into the box above the "Preview" and "Publish" buttons, that says "Add a summary of your edit" in it. In addition, in the future when you make an edit that gets undone, it's generally better to discuss it, either on the page's talk page or directly on the talk page of the editor who undid your edit, rather than to just reapply the edit.
Sorry about this, and if you have any other questions or need help with anything, please feel free to ask! =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:08, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Sets release dates

As you know, Duel Terminal and Collectible tins do not release in one specific date as it come in 2 or 3 waves in differents dates. What can we do now? Can you add a second space for wave two date, or we must create another page for wave 2? --Dlamash (talkcontribs) 06:39, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

We don't actually have a completely set policy for how to handle these; it's my opinion that we should have a separate article for each release that has its own page on the official database (that is, that has its own "pid" value in the URL), and I think this opinion is more-or-less shared with Deltaneos, but it hasn't actually been discussed on-wiki. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:08, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

Junk Warrior Anime Effect

Hi, its me Shiv again. Um, can you please tell me how to write an anime effect of an card. Like in real life Junk Warrior special effect is:

When this card is Synchro Summoned it gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all level 2 and lower monsters you control".

But in the cartoon it is more like:

This card gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all level 2 and lower monsters you control
(122.149.212.217 (talk) 13:41, June 8, 2013 (UTC))

Yes, "Junk Warrior" has a continuous effect while in the Anime version (Cartoon) - therefore whenever Level 2 or lower monsters have entering and leaving the field, "Junk Warrior" gain and lose the difference, respective. --iFredCat 13:44, June 8, 2013 (UTC)
If the effect is shown in the anime, it's simple: write the effect exactly as shown (or rather, since it'd be in Japanese, find someone able to transcribe and translate it for you). We document shown anime effects exactly as they are, without polishing or editing them to make them more understandable from gameplay perspectives or whatever (though pretty much any anime effect after Duel Monsters should be reasonably understandable in those contexts).
If the effect isn't shown, however, I can't offer much advice since I don't actually do much with them; you might instead want to ask Cheesedude, who should either be able to tell you directly himself, or point to someone else who can. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:38, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

Ruby

Why does a yellow exclamation mark signal appears due to the Japanese Ruby on Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Ride 043 and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Ride 046, for example? Am I doing something wrong? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:48, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

It's because the Japanese name support in is horribly designed (though to be completely fair, the whole thing predates any of the Ruby template system). The infobox will eventually be replaced with a new Infobox chapter template, but in the meantime, you can add Ruby chapter names like so. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:45, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Auto-Welcome

It appears that the auto-welcome bot is broken. 15:24, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

That's a known issue which has appeared on Community Central recently; staff are looking into it. In the meantime, feel free to remove the extra welcome messages. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:03, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Card type and Name in Card Errata

Can you make card type and name doesn't appear on all card's errata if the next errata doesn't have any change in name or card type? What I want is to hide the card type on the Second and Third Errata in The A. Forces's card errata page. --Dlamash (talkcontribs) 19:08, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

The card type can't be hidden on the second erratum in that case because it changes between the original print and the first erratum, and something has to be shown to "finish out" the row and ensure the table is constructed properly. Instead, the text being grayed out is meant to show that there was no change. However, in the particular case of card types, the images don't get grayed out, which is somewhat confusing for readers; I've thought about applying opacity to make them look grayed out but haven't actually done anything towards it yet.
As for the card type in the third erratum (and, more generally, info presented in rows not because it changes in one of the three errata in that row, but because it changes in another erratum (if that makes any sense)), I've also had the thought of not displaying the row in such cases, but again, haven't done anything towards it yet.
I don't have the time to work on either of these right now, but I might be able to later today. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:59, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
I don't think those are required to be "hidden" - they're just there as coded. Also, I fixed all del/ins part as well as bold/italic, updated it to current looks. Hope that relaxing your stressful in the temple. --iFredCat 21:10, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Missed Granmarg in the list

A full list in Unearthing of the Monarchs Tip Article - is that such to be "late updating" or something? The second Granmarg has ATK/DEF of 2800/1000 that matched the requirement but... it's not there. --iFredCat 16:11, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

Looks like a cache issue, yes. I've tried null-editing a bunch of stuff, but that hasn't fixed it, so unless someone else has another idea on how to fix it, all we can do is wait and hope it'll show up on its own. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:44, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
That's what I thought. That's a "late updating" stuff. At least we can wait until then. --iFredCat 22:02, June 17, 2013 (UTC)

Quick question

Is there any way to make comments on the edit page. When I learned programming if you wanted a line ignored you might comment it out rather than deleting it when you are trying to debug and find a problem and it would be nice to put items on a page into predetermined sections and leave instructions on how something new should be entered.

Glittersword TalkContributions 03:21, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

Yep, you can make a comment in HTML (and by extension wikimarkup) with <!-- --> - simply put the comment between the tags, and it gets ignored by the parser and by browsers.
If you're curious, comments in CSS and JS work slightly differently: you use /* */ to denote a comment in CSS, and in JS you can use // for a single-line comment (browsers ignore everything from the slashes to the end of the line), or /* */ for a multi-line comment.
Hope this helps! =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:16, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I made use of the information you gave me to organize one page and would like you to evaluate it. Mountain Warrior If you don't like it just let me know and revert it.
Glittersword TalkContributions 17:11, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
I can see the logic in your changes, definitely, but I don't think liberal use of comments is really the way to improve readability on card pages for editors. I've gone ahead and removed the comments and excessive newlines, but I did leave your other changes alone. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:37, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

Gate Guardian

I noticed in a card errata page that the DB seems to count as an errata change. Then I noticed that the DB Gate Guardian page matched the original MRD text, and not the LC01 reprint. So the question is, does this count as another errata for Gate Guardian?184.96.217.50 (talk) 16:39, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
