Ghostricks employ sneaky tactics, such as hiding face-down in Defense Position or popping up in unexpected places, such as the hand.

It's impossible to hate these mischievous scamps, so let's try to uncover their secrets!

Delightful Dwellers of Darkness is a Solo Mode Gate in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and focuses on the Ghostrick archetype.

Like most Gates in Solo Mode, each Duel can be played with either the player's own Deck or a provided Loaner Deck fitting the theme of the Gate, with separate rewards for each. Completing this gate for the first time unlocks the "Mischievous Specters" Secret Pack for 24 hours.

Chapter 1: Scenario

  • Reward: 150 DARK Orbs

Chapter 2: Practice

Learn the ins and outs of "Ghostrick" Decks.

  • Reward: 150 DARK Orbs

Chapter 3: Duel 1

Many "Ghostrick" monsters have effects that trigger when they are flipped face-up or declare an attack, and their Spell and Trap effects are also unique. Be careful not to overlook your opponent's effects, as you may be surprised by the cards in their hand or in face-down position.

In addition, "Ghostrick" monsters of Level 4 or lower cannot be Summoned face-up unless you control a face-up "Ghostrick" monster. In order to aim for an Xyz Summon, it is necessary to utilize Special Summons through effects such as that of "Ghostrick Shot."

Loaner Deck

This Deck excels at tactics that skillfully avoid the opponent's attacks using the position-changing effects of "Ghostrick." Prepare for your attack while blocking your opponent's attack with "Ghostrick Lantern" and adding "Ghostrick" monsters to your hand with "Ghostrick Jiangshi." When you have multiple monsters of the same Level, surprise your opponent with an Xyz Summon. Notably, "Ghostrick Angel of Mischief" can be Xyz Summoned by stacking it on top of another "Ghostrick" Xyz Monster.

Opponent's Deck

Most "Ghostrick" monsters have low ATK. But the surprise attacks they can perform with their hidden power are a powerful tool. For example, if there are multiple "Ghostrick" monsters on your field, "Ghostrick Ghoul" can make the ATK of one monster of your choice equal to the sum of their ATK. It is a powerful combo if you increase the ATK of "Ghostrick Stein," which allows you to add a "Ghostrick" Spell/Trap Card to your hand when you inflict battle damage to your opponent.

Chapter 4.1: Locked

You must use 500 DARK Orbs to unlock this chapter.

Chapter 4.2: Duel 2

Your opponent is Dueling with a Deck based around Fiend-Type "Ghostrick" monsters. They will try to damage you by using effects such as that of "Number 13: Embodiment of Crime" while inviting you to attack them.

If you have a monster in Attack Position, your opponent may use an effect that requires the monster to attack, so if your opponent has a good defense, you should also fortify your defense and counter with something like "Ghostrick Skeleton" to banish cards in your opponent's Deck. Be careful not to be misled by your opponent's tactics.

  • Reward (Loaner): Protector ("Ghostrick Alucard")
  • Reward (My Deck): 2 Legacy Pack ticket-Master Duel.png

Loaner Deck

Reducing the opponent's LP to zero is not the only way to win a Duel. Let's try to win in various ways. There are other effective tactics such as using the effect of "Ghostrick Skeleton" to banish cards in the opponent's Deck, or "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" to send cards in the opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. We also recommend trying to win a Duel with the effect of "Ghostrick Angel of Mischief" that gives you victory when its number of Xyz Materials reaches 10.

Opponent's Deck

Level 1 "Ghostrick" monsters can be Special Summoned by effects that are activated from the hand in response to an opponent's move. Use these to aggressively aim to Xyz Summon Rank 1 monsters such as "Number 13: Embodiment of Crime" and "Number 31: Embodiment of Punishment." If you use "Ghostrick Museum" to guide the opponent's attacker, you may be able to damage the opponent as well.

Chapter 4.3: Duel 3

The combo between "Ghostrick" monsters and "Prediction Princess" is very powerful. In particular, if there are several monsters that have been put into face-down, Defense Position by the effect of "Ghostrick Fairy," those monsters will be destroyed in the End Phase by the effect of "Predition Princess Astromorrigan" and damage will also be inflicted. Be wary of the opponent's face-down Defense Position monsters, and use the effect of "Doomking Balerdroch" to banish them before they are flipped.

  • Reward (Loaner): Icon ("Ghostrick Alucard")
  • Reward (My Deck): 200 Gem-Master Duel.png

Loaner Deck

This Deck focuses on the compatibility of "Doomking Balerdroch" and "Ghostrick," which deploys Field Spells and consists of multiple Zombie-Type monsters. For example, when a Zombie-Type "Ghostrick" monster activates an effect to make itself face-down Defense Position, you can chain the effect of "Doomking Balerdroch" to banish a monster from the opponent's field or Graveyard. This can be a powerful combo. Also try to utilize "Ghostrick Renovation" and switch Field Spells as you fight on.

Opponent's Deck

This Deck focuses on the compatibility of "Ghostrick," and "Prediction Princess" which have effects that activate when flipped face-up. The key is to use the effect of the trump card, "Prediction Princess Tarotrei." Since "Ghostrick" monsters are not Flip Monsters, the effect to Special Summon will be used for "Prediction Princess" monsters, but the effect that changes the battle position of monsters can be utilized for both "Ghostrick" monsters and "Prediction Princess" monsters. Draw out the effect on the opponent's turn and disrupt their strategy.

Chapter 5: Goal

This chapter serves as a Scenario.
