Researchers have discovered mysterious creatures from outer space called "Myutant."

As the mysteries of their biology are unraveled, they continue to evolve with both speed and diversity.

It is quite possible that this creature has already grown past humanity's ability to control it...

Myutant Mutation is a Solo Mode Gate in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and focuses on the Myutant archetype.

Like most Gates in Solo Mode, each Duel can be played with either the player's own Deck or a provided Loaner Deck fitting the theme of the Gate, with separate rewards for each. Completing this gate for the first time unlocks the "Life Finds a Way" Secret Pack for 24 hours.

Chapter 4: Duel 1[edit]

The opponent will attempt to banish monsters, for example, with the effect of "Serene Psychic Witch."

Keep an eye on the opponent's field and the cards banished by them, and try to Special Summon a Level 8 "Myutant" monster to counter them.

It is also effective to counter more powerful opponents with a Fusion Summon. If you can Fusion Summon "Myutant Ultimus" by activating "Myutant Fusion" or "Myutant Cry," you will be one step closer to victory.

Loaner Deck[edit]

With "Myutant M-05" or "Myutant ST-46," you can activate effects that Special Summons a Level 8 "Myutant" monster from the hand or Deck by Tributing them and banishing a face-up card from your hand or field. When doing so, the monster to be Special Summoned depends on whether the card banished as part of the cost was a monster, Spell, or Trap, so choose the card to be banished according to the monster you wish to Summon.

Opponent's Deck[edit]

This Deck utilizes a variety of Level 4 or lower Psychic-Type monsters, such as "Myutant" monsters, to enable monster deployment. Use the effects of "Serene Psychic Witch" or "D.D. Telepon" to banish a Level 4 or lower "Myutant" monster from the Deck. It can be Special Summoned when the next Standby Phase arrives, but in some cases, you can activate "Myutant Cry" before it is Special Summoned and use it as a Fusion Material.

Chapter 5.2: Duel 2[edit]

The opponent will use "Dimensional Fissure" or "Macro Cosmos" to banish cards that are supposed to be sent to the Graveyard. Tactics utilizing the Graveyard become more difficult, but "Myutant" monsters and "Metaphys" monsters can make the Duel more advantageous even in that situation. In particular, "Metaphys" cards may have even more opportunities to activate their effects, so fight while also taking advantage of the effects of your opponent's cards. Furthermore, the opponent may also Special Summon cards such as "Helios Trice Megistus." Note that in the latter half of a Duel, if a large number of both players' monsters are banished, its ATK and DEF will increase greatly.

Loaner Deck[edit]

This Deck utilizes "Metaphys" cards with various effects that activate when banished. These cards can be used as part of the cost to activate cards such as "Myutant M-05" that Special Summons a Level 8 "Myutant" monster by banishing a card. In particular, "Metaphys Tyrant Dragon" can Special Summon a "Metaphys" monster from your hand, then draw out effects that other "Metaphys" monsters have that can be activated when Special Summoned by the effect of another "Metaphys" monster.

Opponent's Deck[edit]

This Deck utilizes the effects of "Myutant" cards and "Dimensional Fissure" to actively banish your own or your opponent's cards in battle. Banished "Myutant" monsters can be used as Fusion Material with the effect of "Myutant Cry," and banished "D.D. Scout Plane" can activate its effect to Special Summon itself in the End Phase. In other words, they have a valuable role to play even after they are banished. Be sure to make good use of them to advance the battle.

Chapter 5.3: Duel 3[edit]

If the opponent uses "Magical Merchant" to send many monsters from the Deck to the Graveyard, they will be able to activate a myriad of effects in the Graveyard.

If your opponent Sets a monster, prepare a way to deal with their effects before attacking without a plan. Xyz Summoning "Number 23: Lancelot, Dark Knight of the Underworld," or Fusion Summoning "Myutant Ultimus" is an effective countermeasure.

Loaner Deck[edit]

A "Myutant" Deck that focuses on WATER monsters that are easy to Special Summon. For example, "Myutant Arsenal" has an effect that banishes a monster on the field when an opponent's monster activates an effect. Let's say you banished a "Xyz Dimension Splash" Set on your field as a cost when this effect is activated. You can then Special Summon 2 Level 8 WATER monsters, including "Kaiser Sea Snake," from the Deck at once, creating a chance to Xyz Summon a Rank 8 monster.

Opponent's Deck[edit]

This Deck sends many monsters to the Graveyard, such as with the effect of "Magical Merchant," and sets up the Duel to your advantage. Level 4 or lower "Myutant" monsters sent to the Graveyard can be added to the hand with cards like "Salvage," or banished to activate the effect of "Fairy Tail - Snow" in the Graveyard. When you have enough "Myutant" monsters banished, you can aim to Fusion Summon them with "Myutant Cry."

Chapter 6: Goal[edit]
