"Retreat Zone" is the one hundred and eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on May 12, 2024.

Yudias and co. are living on curry bread as per usual. But suddenly, Fukamura, a "big" shot from the Dark Matter Empire, appears before them! Intending to obtain some curry bread, Fukamura commences a Duel... Manabu, the Valvelgear's vice captain, takes it upon himself to defeat this new foe!

Featured Duel: Manabu Sogetsu vs Fukamura

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Fukamura
Fukamura's hand contains "Dark Matter Mimic", "Dark Matter on the Water", "Dark Matter Cupidoll", "Dark Matter Cloudoll" and "Dark Matter Craydoll". Fukamura Sets "Craydoll". Fukamura Normal Summons "Mimic" (100/1300). As Fukamura has five or less monsters in his Graveyard, he activates the effect of "Mimic" to change a face-down monster on his field to face-up Attack Position, then he can send cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard equal to the Level of that Level 2 or higher monster with 1300 DEF, then if he sent a DARK Attribute Galaxy Type monster to the Graveyard this way, he can change "Mimic" to face-down Defense Position. Fukamura changes his face-down "Craydoll" (1400/1300) to face-up Attack Position, then sends "Fusion", "Dark Matter Ocean", "Dark Matter King Circle" and "Dark Matter Deep Badger" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then changes "Mimic" to face-down Defense Position. Fukamura activates the effect of "Craydoll", paying 500 LP to change its name to "Dark Matter Mist" this turn, then he can add a "Fusion" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura pays 500 LP (Fukamura: 4000 → 3500 LP; "Craydoll" → "Mist"), then adds "Fusion" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura Normal Summons "Cloudoll" (0/1300). Fukamura activates the effect of "Cloudoll", paying 500 LP to change its name to "Mist" this turn, then he can add a "Dark Matter Ocean" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura pays 500 LP (Fukamura: 3500 → 3000 LP; "Cloudoll" → "Mist"), then adds "Dark Matter Ocean" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura Tributes "Mist"/"Cloudoll" to Tribute Summon "Cupidoll" (1800/1300). Fukamura activates the effect of "Cupidoll", paying 500 LP to change its name to "Mist" this turn, then he can add a "Dark Matter King Circle" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura pays 500 LP (Fukamura: 3000 → 2500 LP; "Cupidoll" → "Mist"), then adds "Dark Matter King Circle" from his Graveyard to his hand. Fukamura activates the Spell Card "Fusion" to Fusion Summon by sending face-up monsters from his field to the Graveyard as material. Fukamura sends "Mist"/"Cupidoll" and "Mist"/"Craydoll" from his field to the Graveyard and Fusion Summons "Dark Matter Enigmata" (0/0) in Attack Position. The Continuous Effect of "Enigmata" increases its ATK by the total original ATK of the monsters used as material for its Fusion Summon, and if Fukamura has a face-down monster on his field, "Enigmata" cannot be destroyed by Manabu's card effects ("Enigmata": 0/0 → 3200/0). As Fukamura has a face-down monster on his field, he activates the Field Spell Card "Dark Matter Ocean" to prevent Attack Position DARK Attribute Galaxy Type monsters with 0 ATK on the field from being destroyed by battle while it is face-up in the Field Zone, and while a player has "Enigmata" face-up on their field, their opponent can only attack it. As Fukamura has a face-down monster on his field, he activates the Equip Spell Card "Dark Matter King Circle", equipping it to a face-up DARK Attribute Galaxy Type monster on his field to increase its ATK by the number of Defense Position monsters on the field x 500, and if the equipped monster is "Enigmata", face-up Spell Cards on his field cannot be destroyed by Manabu's card effects. Fukamura equips "Dark Matter King Circle" to "Enigmata" ("Enigmata": 3200/0 → 3700/0). Fukamura Sets "Dark Matter on the Water" in his Spell & Trap Zone.

Turn 2: Manabu
Manabu's hand contains "Chemispet Parakeet", "Fusion", "Chemicalize Structure Force", "Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix [R]" and "Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix". Manabu Normal Summons "Parakeet" (600/0). As Manabu has no other monsters on his field, he activates the effect of "Parakeet", revealing a Pyro/Aqua/Thunder Type monster in his hand to Fukamura to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, then he can can add to his hand a Pyro/Aqua/Thunder Type monster from among the cards sent with the same Level as the Level of the monster revealed this way. Manabu reveals "Volcalize Phoenix" in his hand to Fukamura and sends "Electro-Lion Bande", "Steam Swallow Gem-zz" and "Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix [L]" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then adds "Volcalize Phoenix [L]" from his Graveyard to his hand. Manabu sends "Parakeet" from his field to the Graveyard and Maximum Summons "Volcalize Phoenix [L]" (2000/0), "Volcalize Phoenix" (2400/0) and "Volcalize Phoenix [R]" (2000/0) in Maximum Mode (3500). As Manabu Special Summoned a monster while Fukamura has a face-down monster on his field, Fukamura activates his face-down Trap Card "Dark Matter on the Water" to Special Summon a Level 5 DARK Attribute Galaxy Type monster from his Graveyard face-up to his field, and prevent it from being destroyed by Manabu's card effects until the end of this turn. Fukamura Special Summons "Deep Badger" (1000/1300) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. The Continuous Effect of "Deep Badger" prevents Fukamura's Attack Position DARK Attribute Galaxy Type monsters from being destroyed by battle if he has a face-down monster on his field, and increases their ATK by the number of cards in his hand x 300. Manabu activates the Equip Spell Card "Chemicalize Structure Force", equipping it to a face-up Aqua/Pyro/Thunder Type monster on his field to increase its ATK by the number of different Types among the face-up monsters on the field x 300, and if it is a Maximum Monster, it cannot be destroyed by Fukamura's card effects. Manabu equips "Chemicalize Structure Force" to "Volcalize Phoenix" ("Volcalize Phoenix": 3500 → 4100). Manabu Sets "Fusion" in his Spell & Trap Zone. "Volcalize Phoenix" attacks "Enigmata" (Fukamura: 2500 → 2100 LP).
