Light of Destruction |
Light of Destruction is the eighth and last set of the OCG Series 5 Booster Packs after Phantom Darkness. It is followed by the first set of OCG Series 6 packs, The Duelist Genesis.
The North American release of this set took place on May 13, 2008.[1]
Packs of the TCG set were also printed in the Light of Destruction: Special Edition.

- Includes cards used by Aster Phoenix, Jaden Yuki, Jesse Anderson, Makoto Inotsume, Mr. Brodie, Sartorius, Trueman, and Vellian Crowler.
- The TCG version also includes cards used by Adrian Gecko, Amnael, Gekko Tenma, Jim Crocodile Cook, Joey Wheeler, Masumi Momono, Prince Ojin, and Yami Yugi.
- Includes new members and/or support for the "Ancient Gear", "Bamboo Sword", "Batteryman", "Cloudian", "Crystal Beast", "Destiny HERO", "Elemental HERO", "Gladiator Beast", "Goblin", "Jinzo", "Neo-Spacian", "Ultimate Crystal", and "Volcanic" archetypes, as well as the Dark counterpart and Konami Arcade Games series.
- Introduces the "Arcana Force" and "Lightsworn" archetypes to the OCG/TCG.
- Introduces the first support for the "Frog" archetype to the OCG/TCG.
