"Zuwijo the Dark" is the thirty-seventh episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on December 11, 2022.

Zuwijo is posing as The Great King's subordinate in order to infiltrate his ship and obtain his power. He boasts that he will use any means in order to obtain more power. Unable to tolerate Zuwijo's ruthlessness, Yuhi challenges him to a Friendship Rush Duel!

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Yuhi
Yuhi's hand contains "Tamabot", "Corktrooper", "Jointech Hero", "Jointech Great Wall" and "Jointech Ignition". Yuhi Normal Summons "Tamabot" (200/0) and "Corktrooper" (1400/900). Yuhi Tributes "Tamabot" and "Corktrooper" to Tribute Summon "Jointech Hero" (2500/1500). Yuhi Sets 2 Cards.

Turn 2: Zuwijo
Zuwijo's hand contains "Dark Nebula", "Voidvelgr Phalanx", "Voidvelgr Kataphraktos", "Voidvelgr Peltast", and "Dark Hole". Zuwijo Normal Summons "Peltast" (0/1500) and "Kataphraktos" (1000/1000). Zuwijo activates the effect of "Kataphraktos" since he controls another DARK monster, allowing him to send the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if that card is a monster, Zuwijo can add a Level 8 Galaxy monster from his Graveyard to his hand. Zuwijo sends "Voidvelgr Requiem" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then adds "Requiem" from his Graveyard to his hand. Zuwijo Tributes "Peltast" and "Kataphraktos" to Tribute Summon "Requiem" (2500/2000). Zuwijo activates the effect of "Requiem", allowing him to send the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to have it gain 300 ATK for each DARK Galaxy monster Zuwijo controls until the end of this turn, then if Yuhi controls a LIGHT monster, "Requiem" gains an additional 600 ATK until the end of this turn. Zuwijo sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and controls 1 DARK Galaxy monster, and Yuhi does not control a LIGHT monster ("Requiem": 2500/2000 → 2800/2000). Zuwijo activates "Phalanx", equipping it to a Galaxy monster he controls. Zuwijo equips "Phalanx" to "Requiem". The effect of "Phalanx" causes the equipped monster to gain 200 ATK/DEF, and if the equipped monster is a DARK monster, it cannot be destroyed by Yuhi's Trap effects and it inflicts piercing battle damage ("Requiem": 2800/2000 → 3000/2000). Zuwijo sets 2 cards. "Requiem" attacks "Jointech Hero", but since an EARTH Machine monster Yuhi controls was targeted for an attack, he activates his Set "Jointech Ignition", preventing that monster from being destroyed by that battle, and if Yuhi controls a Level 7 EARTH Machine monster, he can destroy the attacking monster. Yuhi chooses to destroy the attacking monster, but due to the effect of "Phalanx", "Requiem" is not destroyed. The attack continues, but due to the effect of "Jointech Ignition", "Jointech Hero" is not destroyed (Yuhi: 4000 → 3500 LP).

Turn 3: Yuhi
Yuhi's hand contains "Screw Armadillo", "Jointech Change", "Jointech Rex", "Jointech Ace", and "Carpendra". Yuhi Normal Summons "Jointech Ace" (1500/0) and "Carpendra" (1400/0). Yuhi Tributes "Jointech Ace" and "Carpendra" to Tribute Summon "Jointech Rex" (2500/1500). Yuhi activates the effect of "Jointech Rex" since it was Normal Summoned this turn, allowing him to shuffle 3 monsters from his Graveyard into his Deck to destroy a card in Zuwijo's Spell & Trap Zone. Yuhi shuffles "Tamabot", "Corktrooper", and "Carpendra" from his Graveyard into his Deck and destroys Zuwijo's Set "Dark Hole". Yuhi activates "Jointech Change", allowing him to return a Level 7 EARTH Machine monster he controls to his hand to Special Summon an EARTH Machine Normal Monster from his Graveyard. Yuhi returns "Jointech Hero" to his hand and Special Summon "Jointech Ace" (1500/0) from his Graveyard. Yuhi Normal Summons "Screw Armadillo" (0/1000). Yuhi Tributes "Jointech Ace" and "Screw Armadillo" to Tribute Summon "Jointech Hero" (2500/1500). Yuhi activates the effect of "Jointech Hero" since it was Tribute Summoned this turn by Tributing "Jointech Ace", allowing him to have it gain 1500 ATK until the end of this turn, and if he does, he can add an EARTH Machine monster from his Graveyard to his hand. Yuhi adds "Jointech Ace" from his Graveyard to his hand ("Jointech Hero": 2500/1500 → 4000/1500). Yuhi Normal Summons "Jointech Ace" (1500/0). "Jointech Hero" attacks and destroys "Requiem" (Zuwijo: 4000 → 2700 LP). Since a DARK Galaxy monster Zuwijo controls with 1500 or more ATK was destroyed by Yuhi's attacking monster, Zuwijo activates his Set "Dark Nebula", allowing him to Special Summon a DARK Galaxy monster from his Graveyard in Attack Position, but if he does, it loses 500 ATK until the end of this turn. Zuwijo Special Summons "Requiem" (2500/2000 → 2000/2000) from his Graveyard. "Jointech Rex" attacks and destroys "Requiem" (Zuwijo: 2700 → 2200 LP). "Jointech Ace" attacks The☆Zuwijo directly (Zuwijo: 2200 → 700 LP).

Turn 4: Zuwijo
Zuwijo Normal Summons "Voidvelgr Pale Rider" (1600/0) and "Dark Prophet" (0/0). Zuwijo activates "Fusion", allowing him to Fusion Summon a monster from his Extra Deck using monsters he controls as materials. Zuwijo fuses "Pale Rider" and "Dark Prophet" to Fusion Summon "Voidvelgr Apocalypse" (2500/2000). Since Zuwijo Special Summoned a Level 7 or higher monster while Yuhi controls a Level 7 or higher EARTH Machine monster, Yuhi activates his Set "Jointech Great Wall", allowing him to choose up to 3 EARTH Machine monsters he controls to have them gain 300 ATK and prevent them from being destroyed by battle this turn. Yuhi chooses "Jointech Rex", "Jointech Hero", and "Jointech Ace" ("Jointech Rex": 2500/1500 → 2800/1500) ("Jointech Hero": 2500/1500 → 2800/1500) ("Jointech Ace": 1500/0 → 1800/0). Zuwijo activates the effect of "Apocalypse", allowing him to send a card from his hand to the Graveyard to have it gain 1000 ATK and prevent it from being destroyed by card effects this turn, then if "Apocalypse" was Special Summoned this turn, Zuwijo can add 1 "Dark Hole" from his Graveyard to his hand. Zuwijo sends "Voidvelgr Hecatoncheir" from his hand to the Graveyard and adds "Dark Hole" from his Graveyard to his hand ("Apocalypse": 2500/2000 → 3500/2000). Zuwijo activates "Dark Hole", destroying all monsters on the field. "Jointech Rex", "Jointech Hero", and "Jointech Ace" are destroyed, but "Apocalypse" is not destroyed due to its own effect. "Apocalypse" attacks Yuhi directly (Yuhi: 3500 → 0 LP).
