"This is Ultraterrestrial Trouble Solutions!" is the first episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on April 3, 2022.

Located in a corner of Mutsuba Town is a small company managed by the twins Yuamu and Yuhi, known as Ultraterrestrial Trouble Solutions, or UTS for short. When they were looking for an alien from the Catnapper Planet, they encountered an alien warrior named Yudias on a stranded spaceship.

The twins Yuhi Ohdo and Yuamu Ohdo are grade-schoolers who live in Mutsuba Town and manage UTS (Ultraterrastrial Trouble Solutions), a somewhat shady company that gets rid of aliens. They used a mysterious device built by Yuhi to search for aliens but hasn't had any luck finding one... until that day, when they found an actual spaceship in the middle of a newly created crop circle. Inside the spaceship, they encountered an alien named Yudias, who has come from the distant Velgear Star Cluster.

Yudias has come to Earth in search of Rush Duels, which can supposedly guide his comrades, who have been driven from their home to a new future. However, he has no idea what Rush Duels are, so Yuhi challenges him to a Rush Duel to help him out. This is the first contact between grade-schoolers and aliens, made possible thanks to Rush Duels!!

Summary[edit]

Yuhi Ohdo's voice narattes that there are more stars in the universe than one can possibly count and more life than they can imagine. A bright light flashes outside Yuhi's room and he briefly wakes up before falling asleep again, while outside Yuamu Ohdo is looking at the stars - and a bright light flying through the sky to land outside the town. Yuhi narrates that the day they met that guy couldn't possibly have been a coincidence as the light lands in trees on the town's outskirts.

Yuhi and Yuamu's operation doesn't quite go according to plan.

The next morning three kids run across a street in Mutsuba Town, while on the town's outskirts an animal has been spotted through a thermal scope. Yuamu whispers the target has been identified and declares the beginning of their operation, and Yuhi whispers "UTS". The animal, a grey cat with a green star mark on its forehead, is licking its paws when Yuhi suddenly bursts from the bushes behind it on a hoverboard asking where the aliens are, and the cat screams as Yuhi descends towards it, both its and Yuhi's screams echoing through the vegetation before the cat flees and Yuhi's hoverboard bounces away. Yuamu steps out with the right lens of her glasses glowing green and she admonishes Yuhi for letting the cat get away; Yuhi raises his face, freshly scratched by the cat. He quickly recovers, taking out a scope with a red X flashing on the screen and lamenting that the aliens escaped again, and Yuamu sighs and takes out a tablet computer, recording that no catnapping aliens were observed here, and the primary target, the cat, also fled, taking their bounty with it. She suggests they get back to the office and Yuhi replies "UTS".

Yuhi and Yuamu find something in the woods.

As they head back on their hoverboards, Yuhi tells the aliens to wait as he'll definitely find them Yuamu holds out her hand and they stop, Yuhi asking her what's wrong, and Yuamu asks Yuhi if he really wants to meet an alien that badly. Yuhi replies that of course he does, given what one had done, and Yuamu asks what he'd do if they met one right now; Yuhi proclaims he'd obviously beat them up and make them sorry in with a Rush Duel - and then he sees what Yuamu spotted, several trees have been knocked down in a spiral over the path ahead. Yuhi asks in shock if it's a crop circle as Yuamu begins taking photos, and she asks Yuhi if he said he'd heard a loud noise last night. Yuhi did, and he asks if an alien did this as Yuamu walks forwards - and slams into an invisible wall. Yuhi gasps her name as the ripple vanishes to reveal a metal wall, and Yuamu points at an opening. They head inside, but the door immediately closes behind them and as the kids swing around in shock, they hear rumbling around them. Birds scatter outside the room as the light from the previous night emerges from the trees and blasts into the sky.

Yuhi and Yuamu meet Yudias Velgear.

Yuhi and Yuamu watch from a viewport as the Earth recedes behind them, Yuamu quoting "the planet Earth is blue" and Yuhi protesting this isn't the time given they're in space. As he finishes his sentence blue columns of energy teleport them into a large circular room aboard the ship, and Yuhi freaks out when he finds himself floating before realizing there's no gravity. A voice addresses the kids as people of Earth, and a figure of light appears from green energy, introducing himself as Yudias Velgear from the Velgear Star Cluster beyond the Milky Way. Yuamu realizes what he's saying and Yuhi digs in his bag for his detector, but it fails to react to Yudias' presence, though Yuamu notes the red spike of Yuhi's hair pointing towards Yudias and comments that he seems to be a real alien, and Yudias confirms that would be correct for their perspective. Yuhi stares at the one feature of Yudias he can see that isn't blotted out by light, a single green eye, and freaks out over meeting a real alien.

Yudias reveals his appearance.

Yudias waves his hand and explains they have traveled the stars after fleeing the way that wrecked their home system, showing the Ohdos an image of two galaxies, one blue and one red, colliding as explosions erupt between them, and states this is why they have come to Earth. Yuamu asks Yuhi if he didn't want to beat the alien up, and Yuhi promptly takes out his Duel Disk and tells Yudias this meeting has been eight million years in the making, challenging him to a Rush Duel as Yuamu sweatdrops and vowing to have the alien return the Earthdamar he stole after Yuhi wins. Yudias repeats the words "Rush Duel" and Yuamu apologizes for her brother's rudeness, explaining that Rush Dueling is a popular card game among Earth's elementary schoolers, but before she can explain what the Earthdamar is Yudias declares that Yuhi has challenged him to a Rush Duel and lowers to the floor, casuing Yuamu and Yuhi to drop to the ground as well (Yuhi doing so somewhat less gracefully than his sister). The light surrounding Yudias fades and Yuhi notes his almost human appearance, asking if he's really an alien, but Yudias declares Yuhi has challenged him and suggests they Rush Duel.

Yudias is horrified Yuhi cut open his Rush Duel packs.

Yuhi comments that now Yudias is talking and he sits down to look through his cards. Yudias asks what he's doing and Yuhi asks what Yudias means; he's preparing for their Rush Duel and wants to check his Deck. Yudias asks if Yuhi is trying to deceive him with a sham and tells him to battle in a real Rush Duel, pulling out eight booster packs, much to the Ohdos' confusion. Yuamu notes that the packs haven't been opened, and she's never seen any like them before, Yuhi commenting that Yudias doesn't know anything about Rush Dueling and taking the packs from him. Yuhi warns Yudias to be careful not to cut the cards inside the packs while opening them and cuts open a pack with scissors - and Yudias screams in horror. Yuhi apologizes, asking if Yudias wanted to open them himself, but Yudias cries that Yuhi has torn and destroyed his Rush Duels, causing a platform to erupt from the ground and suspend Yuhi in bonds of electricity, while the walls slide aside to reveal a vast stadium full of people in white with helmets shaped like cat's ears and all chanting Yudias' name as they sit on large circular platforms. Yuhi asks in shock who they are and Yudias addresses his 8.8 million countrymen from the Velgear Star Cluster, asking how he should repay this humiliation. The Velgear people chant "Vam Bi Do!" and Yuhi asks in terror what a "bambidou" is as Yuamu walks up to Yudias and suggests he look inside the pack. Yudias finds several cards inside and Yuamu explains they're what's used to play a Rush Duel. As Yudias gasps that these are Rush Duels in wonder, Yuamu explains Monster Cards and Spell and Trap Cards to him, and Yudias tears up and calls them breathtaking, telling his brethren that they have finally arrived at the truth of Rush Dueling and the new road it will guide them on, his countrymen chanting his name. Yudias has Yuhi lowered and bows, thanking the Earthlings for their help. Released from his bonds, Yuhi zips back to his sister's side and admits it was a pleasure to help as the Ohdos both bow.

Yudias explains why he came to Earth.

Yuamu notes that Yudias claimed he and his people came to Earth to escape the war, but was his real purpose to Rush Duel? Yudias confirms that it was and explains they learned of it after being chased from their home with nowhere to go; a legend that stated Rush Dueling could guide them to a new future. Yuamu asks how Rush Dueling would do that and Yudias admits he doesn't know, explaining he came to interpret it as a deeper meaning to Rush Dueling could finally stop the strife in his home system and bring peace. Yuhi is confused, but Yuamu grins and thinks that she can use this alien who came to Earth seeking Rush Dueling. She reminds Yudias that he accepted a Rush Duel and suggests some conditions; if Yudias wins, Yuamu will teach him more about Rush Dueling, but if Yuhi wins, Yudias will work for their company for free. Yuhi asks if Yuamu's being a little rude to this actual alien but Yuamu asks if he's scared and wants to live without the Earthdamar ever again. Yuhi promptly blanches and Yudias asks who their company are. Yuamu introduces their company as UTS - Ultraterrstrial Trouble Solutions - and states they deal with alien extermination. She introduces herself as the CEO, Yuamu Ohdo, and Yuhi Ohdo as a low-grade employee (much to his displeasure). Yudias and his countrymen are shocked at the notion of alien extermination and Yuhi tries to protest they're not that big of a deal, but Yudias holds up his cards and declares he is a proud warrior of Velgear, accepting the challenge.

To the Ohdo twins' surprise, Yudias activates a different Duel Disk.

As the other Velgearians chant Yudias' name Yuhi comments it's like playing an away game, though Yuamu reminds him a Duel is always one-on-one so it shouldn't matter. Yuhi straps on his Duel Disk and Yudias takes out one of his own, introducing himself again as Yudias Velgear. Yuhi introduces himself as Yuhi Ohdo and takes out his Deck, calling "Let's go! Go Rush!" as he inserts his Deck into his Duel Disk, deploying a blade that assumes the crude shape of a blue "G". Yudias is surprised by the term "Go Rush Yu" and Yuamu explains it's what they say before starting a Rush Duel; Yudias notes the odd coincidence, explaining that Go Rush Yu is also the name of the fountain of souls that Velgearian warriors visit before battle (though Yuhi thinks he means a bath). Yudias holds up his own Deck and calls "Let's go! Go Rush!" and inserts his Deck into his Duel Disk, which deploys a blade glowing with the shape of a red "7" and causes a green holographic dome to appear around them. Yuhi and Yuamu are surprised by Yudias' Duel Disk, having never seen it before, and Yuamu comments that's an alien for them. As Yuhi and Yudias' LP meters appear, Yuamu explains that both players start with 4000 LP and four cards in their hands. Yudias nods, and the other Velgearians cheer his name.

Yudias faces off against his first monster.

Yuhi declares his turn, as does Yudias, and Yuhi draws a card, Yudias doing so himself. Yuamu tells him to stop, explaining that it's Yuhi's turn right now, so Yudias doesn't draw now. Yudias notes that makes sense and proclaims to his people that Rush Dueling is turn-based, earning cheers from them all as Yuhi asks if he has to do that every time. He decides to start again, declaring his turn and drawing. His hand containing "Pierce!", "Power Shock", "Twin Hole", "Tribute Lock", and "Tamabot", Yuhi wonders if this meeting was fate or just a coincidence and decides it was the latter as he Summons "Tamabot". Yudias notes that it's a Level 1 with 200 ATK and Yuamu explains that monsters generally have higher ATK if they have a higher Level, so a Level 1 monster with 200 ATK like "Tamabot" is pretty weak. Regardless, Yudias vows to face the first monster Summoned against him in a Rush Duel with all he has and tells "Tamabot" to come at him. Yuamu quickly reassures Yudias they can't attack on the first turn and Yudias asks why. Yuamu notes it's just a rule, but wouldn't it be a bit unfair if they could attack him when he wasn't prepared? Yudias agrees and proclaims it as a fair and just rule, and Yuhi Sets three cards to end his turn. Yuamu is surprised, wondering if Yuhi only drew one monster and notes that given he Summoned "Tamabot" in Attack Position, correctly guesses that he did, but Yuhi is also going easy on Yudias for his first Rush Duel and hoping to have a cooler comeback win rather than an easy one.

Yudias Summons a Galaxy Type monster.

Yudias asks if he can take his turn now and Yuamu tells him he can draw now. Yudias declares a Velgearian draw, but draws too strongly and nearly drops his card, before looking at it and proclaiming that this is a draw, his countrymen chanting his name. As Yudias adds the "Vortex Shooter" he drew to his hand, which also contains three "Interstellime" and "Giant Bulge", Yuamu tells him that he can Summon a monster now if he has any. Yudias Summons "Vortex Shooter", a LIGHT Level 4 A-T-K 1400 D-E-F 1000 Galaxy Type Normal Monster, and begins to read the flavor text too until Yuamu reassures him he doesn't need to read everything on it. Yudias understands and marvels over Summoning a monster for the first time, while Yuhi is surprised by the Galaxy Type, having never heard of it before. Yuamu adds that Yudias can Summon more monsters if he wants, much to his surprise, and she explains that he can keep Summoning monsters as long as he has available Monster Zones. Yudias Summons "Giant Bulge" and "Interstellime", Yuhi gasping in shock over the three monsters and Yuamu excitedly noting she's never seen any of them before. Yudias assumes that the player going second will be allowed to attack and Yuamu asks him to do so, Yudias declaring battle and attacking "Tamabot" with "Vortex Shooter". As "Vortex Shooter" blasts its discs at "Tamabot", Yuamu explains that during battle monsters with higher ATK will destroy monsters with lower ATK. "Tamabot" is easily destroyed, though Yudias proclaims it a worthy opponent, and Yuama explains that the 1200 difference between the 1400 ATK "Vortex Shooter" and the 200 ATK "Tamabot" will be deduced from Yuhi's LP, Yuhi playing up the damage as he falls to 2800 LP. Yudias proclaims all his opponent's monsters have been destroyed and his countrymen cheer his name, but Yuamu tells him it isn't over yet since a Rush Duel only ends when one or both of them run out of LP. Yudias promptly orders "Giant Bulge" and "Interstellime" to scrape away Yuhi's LP, Yuhi yelping in terror as Yudias declares a direct attack. Yuhi is blasted off his feet, yelping that it was 2300 damage as he falls to 500 LP. He lands on his feet and Yudias ends his turn, while Yuhi admits that was pretty good for Yudias' first Rush Duel and Yuamu notes Yuhi was taking it easy on a beginner but didn't think he'd get pushed so far. But Yuhi thinks he'll make a comeback now, which Rush Dueling is all about.

Yuhi Summons three monsters of his own.

He declares his turn and draws four cards and Yudias promptly strings Yuhi up in electricity again, poor Yuhi crying "Whyyyyyy?!" Yudias accuses him of violating the rules by trying to draw four cards without Yudias noticing, and the Velgearians begin chanting "Vam Bi Do" again, Yuhi begging them to stop with the "bambidou". Yuamu tells Yudias that wasn't against the rules, much to his surprise, and she explains that a player draws until they have five cards in their hand in a Rush Duel each turn. The revelation stuns Yudias, who happily tells his countrymen they have carved open a new horizon in Rush Dueling as he returns Yuhi to the floor. Recovering, Yuhi examines his hand, containing "Pierce", two "Craftroll", "Carpendra", and "Jointech Ace", and thinks that it's time to get serious. He Summons "Jointech Ace", "Craftroll" and "Carpendra", and Yudias notes that now Yuhi also has three monsters. Yuhi declares battle, attacking "Interstellime" with "Carpendra" and destroying it, reducing Yudias to 3900 LP as he gasps the damage he took. Then Yuhi attacks "Giant Bulge" with "Craftroll", destroying it and reducing Yudias to 3800 LP as he gasps that he took another 100 damage. Finally Yuhi orders "Jointech Ace" to destroy "Vortex Shooter", and it fires a beam from its wrist blade that destroys "Vortex Shooter" and reduces Yudias to 3700 LP, Yudias once again gasping that he lost 100 LP. He realizes all his monsters were wiped out despite the overwhelming superiority his army showed, and Yuhi tells Yudias that a battle can change rapidly from turn to turn and there is always the chance for a huge comeback after an overwhelming disadvantage. Yudias realizes what Yuhi means and Yuhi confirms that this is a Rush Duel, thinking that he just sounded so cool.

The ATK of Yudias' "Transamu Rainac" is revealed to be 1600, more than the usual 1500 maximum.

Yudias notes that three monsters stand between him and victory, and all of them have at least 1100 ATK. Yuhi confirms that Yudias won't be able to win unless he draws a monster with higher ATK, and Yudias repeats the notion and prepares to draw as Yuamu notes that Yudias is right, but Yuhi probably has a Trap set for that. Yuhi thinks that a Level 4 monster can only have at most 1500 ATK, and he's prepared even if Yudias Summons a Level 5 or higher monster or increases the ATK of his monsters. Yudias declares his turn and Velgearian Draws three cards, and gasps in shock at the sight of one of them. Yuhi asks if Yudias drew a Level 5 or higher monster with more than 1500 ATK, prompting Yuamu to comment on his luck, but Yudias isn't paying attention as he adds the cards to his hand and asks if this monster doesn't look like him. He reveals the card, "Transamu Rainac", a Level 4 monster, but his finger covers the ATK score and he declares that Rush Dueling even has monsters that resemble him, claiming it stirs the Velgearian Guard's spirit within him and preparing to Summon it as his body glows with a green aura. Yuhi asks if they really look that alike and Yuamu zooms in on the card with her glasses, admitting it certainly looks alien. Yuhi thinks that it being a Level 4 monster means it won't have more than 1500 ATK so he won't lose this turn, but Yuamu tells him to take a closer look, so Yuhi walks up to Yudias and moves his finger from the ATK score...and "Transamu Rainac" has 1600 ATK.

Yudias assumes his true form.
"Transamu Rainac" strikes down "Craftroll".

Yuhi is horrified to see a Level 4 monster with 1600 ATK while Yuamu is quite interested and Yuhi panics, yelping that he didn't plan for this. Yudias asks if he can summon his monster and Yuamu happily tells him to do so, much to Yuhi's dismay. Yudias chants "When the blade of light sweeps through the celestial river the hero appears to the call of his name! Transamu Rainac!" "Trasanmu Rainac", an alien swordsman with stringy blue hair, appears from the spinning card and Yudias calls to his 8.8 million countrymen, who chant his name, telling them all of their feeling have become as one with his. Yuhi is shocked by Yudias' spirit but entranced by his passion, and Yudias orders "Transamu Rainac" to strike down Yuhi's monster, his clothes transforming into white ceremonial garb. Yuamu gasps that's Yudias' true form and Yuhi cries that Yudias really is an alien, though they don't really think he looks much like "Transamu Rainac". Yudias draws an energy weapon, declaring "War To Zen! Maniac You Die!" as "Transamu Rainac" mirrors his movements, both of them bringing their blades down as the 1100 "Carpendra" is destroyed, reducing Yuhi to zero LP and blows off his feet. Yuhi reflects that in that moment, he really saw Yudias Velgear in that monster.

Yuhi and Yudias shake hands.

Havin returned to his blue clothes, Yudias cheers happily as his countrymen chant his name, while Yuhi is depressed at losing to the beginner alien. Yudias calls it a bizarre but thrilling battle; this is a Rush Duel. Yuhi agrees and Yudias asks again for their help in learning more about Rush Dueling, Yuhi admitting that's the promise they made as he and Yuamu walk over and he shakes hands with Yudias. Yudias vows to lend the Earthlings his aid if he can, much to Yuhi's joy, and Yuamu smiles and puts a UTS sticker on Yudias' Duel Disk.

Yudias fires eyebeams.

But once they return to UTS on Earth, Yuhi is dismayed to learn Yudias wasn't the one who stole the Earthdamar, and Yudias tells them that, as they say on Earth, they've got the wrong guy (or wrong alien in this case). Yuhi laments his inability to get the Earthdamar back even though he finally found a real alien, but Yuamu reassures Yuhi that Yudias will be helping them catching aliens while he studies Rush Dueling with UTS LLC. (three other UTS employees peeking in the door as she says this). Yuhi agrees that Yudias being an alien will help with catching other aliens, and Yudias asks them to let him know how to help. The phone suddenly rings and Yudias asks what this alarm is, Yuamu explains it means they have a job request and Yuhi states the first order of business is to have Yudias take care of the phone. Declaring he understands, Yudias stands up and his body glows green as he assumes his true form again, then fires green eyebeams at the phone and destroys it, much to the Ohdo twins' horror, and they both yell at Yudias not to use beams, much to his confusion, the shot zooming out to a galaxy.

Trivia[edit]

  • This is the first of the first Featured Duels of the anime series in the franchise where the main protagonist does not Duel an opponent using a monster with 3000 ATK.
