"Yudias Returns" is the fifty-second episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime, and the first episode of the second season. It first aired in Japan on April 2, 2023.
Having finished the battle in the Velgear Star Cluster, Yudias decides to return to Earth in order to inform Yuhi and the others. The members of UTS welcome Yudias back. Time has passed, but they're still more or less the same, and Yudias is happy to be able to see them again. However, at the same time, he feels that there is something off…
Summary
At Goha Enterprises, Yuga Ohdo is seen preparing to duel with Phaser Ryugu. The two boys then say "Go Rush" as they are about to duel. Meanwhile, at Velgear Star Cluster, Yudias is dueling with an alien soldier. The alien soldier unleashes a direct attack, Full Meteor Impact at Yudias, which falls Yudias' LP to zero, thus blasting him away. Yudias on the floor, now realizes these are Rush Duels. He sits up, complimenting the alien how wonderful its direct attack was. The alien approaches Yudias as he now understands his feelings during the battle. Yudias glances back at Zuwijo. The alien and Yudias grasp with their hands as the alien declares that it is through Rush Duels that they can finally understand each other. Yudias says it is exactly so. All the Velgearians cheer on them and chant "Rush Duel!" while fireworks go off. As Yudias watches, Zuwijo tags along with him, saying that they have come to an understanding with all of their adversaries through Rush Duels. Yudias is glad that Rush Duels have brought Velgear's long conflict to an end as he takes out his Duel Disk. Zuwijo congratulates Yudias, but Yudias says that this has all been the limitless potential of Rush Duels. Zuwijo says "Veeg vi bal du" and tells Yudias that his mission is now completed. He will leave the rest to him and orders him to report back the Ohdo siblings on Earth. Yudias holds hands with Zuwijo and reminisces the days he spent with him were rough, but very enjoyable. Zuwijo promises him to meet in another Rush Duel.
Before returning to Earth, Yudias shouts "Valvelgear, take off!" and the Valvelgear activates its thrusters and goes into hyperspeed mode. The narrator informs that Yudias is returning to Earth where his friends await him. The Valvegear stops as it approaches Earth, making Yudias excitedly announce that they are here. The Velgearians chant "Earth happidu!" Yudias exits the Valvegear and dives into Earth, finally relieved that Mutsuba Town is finally back where it belongs. He then sees a sign on the ground and notices that the members of UTS are happy to welcome him back to Earth. When he lands, he asks the members if everything has changed much. Yuhi says nothing has changed and Yuamu replies that it is all the same. Yuhi asks Yudias if the Rush Duels ended the war in the Velgear Cluster and Yudias replies yes. Yuamu tells him great work. Yuhi takes out his Duel Disk and card while he challenges Yudias to Rush Duel with him and Yuamu, along with the other members of UTS are excited to see this and encourage Yudias to Rush Duel with Yuhi. Yudias shouts "UTS" and tells everyone that he honed his skills while in the Velgear Cluster, but as he is about to step on to the circle, he realizes something. The UTS employees ask what's wrong. Yudias' warrior's intuition alerts him and he steps back, pointing the UTS employees out that they are not them, much to their shock. He then points out that Tazaki's beard is not that long, Purisaki's glasses are not what it looks like, and Maki's rolled hairdo is wrong. This angers UTS and Purisaki threatenly congratulates Yudias on seeing through her disguise, which causes Yudias to declare that everyone on UTS are all fakes. The fake UTS members take off their disguises, revealing themselves as the MIK. Tremolo shouts out the complete and total annihilation of aliens. The MIK member aims the Anti-Karutumata Beam and it fires at Yudias, but Yudias leaps out of the way, instead shooting the Velgearians inside the Valvelgear. Yudias catches the Valvelgear and two Anti-Karutumata at the Velgearians again, but the beam is not affecting Yudias, much to the MIK's shock. Yudias does not understand why but it doesn't work on him. He tells them that they have occupied UTS and attacked his 8.88 million countrymen and wonders if Manabu, Nyandestar, and Ranran know about this. He then demands the MIK to know where the real UTS is. The MIK leader says that he doesn't need to know. As the MIK are about to attack, Yudias fires his green eyebeams at them, including the Anti-Karutumata. The leader yells "Damn it!" and falls into the pit that the circle was covering. Yudias is surprised that there was a trap here. The leader was also surprised that Yudias didn't realize this was here considering how hard he and the members were digging. Yudias was told that the Anti-Karutumata Beam would work on the Velgearians. Another member of the MIK comes out, asking him if this is different from what he said. He introduces himself as Tremolo Ryugu and he is a Special Enforcement Officer under the direct command of the MIK Commander. Yudias asks him why the MIK is trying to capture him. Tremolo makes a deal with him: If Yudias wants to know why, he must Rush Duel with him. If Yudias wins, Tremolo will tell him everything he wants to know. As the two men prepare to Rush Duel, a yellow light shines, and a voice is ordering them to stop the Rush Duel immediately. The voice from above reveals to be a girl wearing a helmet. Yudias is surprised. The people wearing helmets are revealed to be UTS. They throw their smoke bombs at the MIK. The girl tells Yudias "U want point Mt. 628S, yes!" Yudias says "UTS" and runs off. Tremolo really wants the girl and vows to get her someday.
The next day, Yudias reveals that "Meet at point M628" were the coordinates for Mutsuba Heavy Machinery's Experimental Mines. The girl wearing the helmet from yesterday arrives on a bike, telling him that it was the UTS Cipher and she is glad Yudias didn't forget it. The girl takes off her helmet, revealing herself to be Yuamu. Yudias is stunned about her new look and she has grown taller. Yuamu puts her glasses back on as she says that it'd be weird if nothing changed at all in two years. Yudias finds out that it has been that long for Earth. The other UTS members arrive and meet up with Yudias. Yudias begs Yuamu to tell him what happened while he was away. Yuamu begins her story while in the mines. When UTS returned to Earth two years ago, they put Mutsuba Town and the spaceship back where it belonged. Then, they went back to their everyday lives of trying to solve alien troubles. Then, we cut to a flashback at UTS. Yuamu and Tazaki are surrounded by the MIK soldiers. Phaser approaches and tells them that they cannot have others who are not Earthlings reside here. He declares that they will begin Operation MIK now. MIK means Mitigation of Interstellar Kriminals. While Manabu and Nyandestar were in space, the MIK secretly worked on a plan while taking away the Earth stuff, everyone, and even Yuna. They forcibly raided UTS, Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, and Goha Enterprises and seized them all. People who had relations to aliens were removed from Mutsuba Town and relocated to the underground alien area.
When the flashback ends, Yudias adds that everyone must be very troubled. He wonders who made this absurd plan. Yuamu tells him that it was the commander of the MIK, Phaser Ryugu. The guy he was about to duel is his younger brother Tremolo. She then explains that Phaser created a new organization known as Mutsuba Impeccable Kitizens and took control of the entire town. Everyone is back to the same peaceful lives they had before the incident, but the real Mutsuba Town changed drastically without their knowledge. Just as Yuamu is about to explain what hasn't happened in two years, the minecart exits.
We then cut to Yudias looking at the aliens in Mutsuba Town. Yuamu then shows him that this is UTS' new building. Yudias is surprised that the billboard he is seeing is the real UTS. Yuamu explains that they go to the middle school here in the Underground Alien Residential Area. Yudias noticed that the cracked roof and the tin walls gave the building a homey atmosphere. He optimistically thinks this will be cool in the summer and the winter. Yuamu sweatdrops, nervously reminding him that he can say it's a wreck. Yudias and Yuamu hear Maki encouraging Yuhi to do his homework. Yuhi leaves the building with his hoverboard, telling Maki that he is going out for a spin. Yudias calls out Yuhi's name as he is happy to finally see him. Yuhi tells him to move out of the way. Yudias tells him that is has been two years since he went away, but Yuhi still remembers Yudias, but doesn't recognize him. After a few attempts to get him to remember, Yuhi ignores Yudias. Yudias compliments him that he is looking quite sharp, stylish and looks really cool. He does realize that got a makeover in two years. He then takes off his UTS uniform and says that he will also try to be cool. Though Yuhi still ignores him, Yudias applies that Yuhi has grown even cooler than he expected. He urges Yuhi to do a Rush Duel with him to make up for those two years. And with a Rush Duel, they will be able to understand each other. Yuhi says no. Yudias asks him if he is hungry and explains that he brought back souvenirs just for him. He shows him the Velgearian specialties: Velgear Manju and Velgear Karinto. He also has brought back a Velgear pennant and wooden sword, thinking that Yuhi would like it. Yuhi doesn't want them, but Yudias, however, still encourages him to eat these so he can face him in a Rush Duel. Yuhi snaps at him, still not interested. Yudias asks why. Yuhi answers that Rush Duels are just for kids as he leaves with his hoverboard. Yudias sadly says that Yuhi refused him. Yuamu says that Yudias finally noticed. Tazaki explains to him that he was like an annoying uncle that Yuhi hasn't seen since he was young. Purusaki says it is what it is. Yudias, downcast, sadly says "Veeg jo jon bi du" and he reminisces about how Yuhi used to be so bright that he lifted everyone's spirits and showed him how fun Rush Duels could be. Yuamu tells him that Yuhi has changed. After the MIK raided and chased UTS underground, he started to distance himself from them and Rush Duels, which he used to love. This makes Yudias realize that Yuhi really has changed. While he was away for two years, everything about Yuhi and UTS has changed. He rants about how the MIK took Yuhi's personality away. They have no choice but to have a Rush Duel. He tells Yuamu that he has to go and duel with Phaser. Yuamu says that it is a bad idea because Phaser has full control of their town. They can't approach him carelessly and they don't even know where he is in the first place. If Yudias goes out by himself, he risks getting captured.
