"Yuma Confused!? The Unreliable Account of Gilag the Tanuki" is the one hundredth and seventh episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. It first aired in Japan on June 9, 2013.
Yuma returns to his house for the first time in a long time, to take a break from his adventures to the ruins. But his rest is fleeting, as he learns from Roku, that the Ksitigarbha of a Warring States Commander from 500 years ago has been found at the Duel Sanctuary. But as Yuma and Astral rush to the lodge, the Barian Warrior, Gilag, is waiting for them! To defend the "Number", Yuma challenges Gilag to a Duel, but it appears that he's been possessed by something....!?
Featured Duel: Yuma vs. Ponta
Yuma duels against Ponta who has taken possession of Gilag's body.
Turn 1: Ponta
Ponta Normal Summons "Tanuki Kid Ponpoko" (800/0). He then activates "Fwoosh! Leaf Transformation", Special Summoning "Tanuki Kid Tantan" (0/800) from his hand in Attack Position. Ponta overlays his two level 2 monsters to Xyz Summon "Number 64: Scheming Veteran Tanuki - Sandayu" (1000/1000) in Attack Position. He activates its effect, detaching an Overlay Unit to Special Summon a "Kagemusha Tanuki Token" (?/0) in Attack Position. Its ATK is equal to ATK of "Sandayu" (?/0 → 1000/0). While Ponta controls a "Kagemusha Tanuki Token", "Sandayu" cannot be attacked.
Turn 2: Yuma
Yuma Sets "Burst Reverse". At this point, the spirit of Ponta takes possession of Yuma's body and plays the turn while Yuma is in Gilag's body instead. He has "Toy Knight", "Dododo Witch", "Guard Plus", "Dododo Gasser" and "Monster Reborn" in his hand. Ponta activates the effect of "Sandayu", detaching an Overlay Unit to Special Summon another "Kagemusha Tanuki Token" (?/0) in Attack Position whose ATK changes to that of "Sandayu" (?/0 → 1000/0). "Sandayu" and a "Kagemusha Tanuki Token" attack Yuma directly (Yuma 3000 → 2000 → 1000). Ponta is about to attack directly with the other "Kagemusha Tanuki Token", but Yuma activates his face-down "Burst Reverse". At the cost of half of his Life Points, he can Special Summon a monster from his Graveyard in face-down Defense Position. Yuma Special Summon and Sets "Dododo Gasser" via this effect. Ponta sets a card.
Turn 4: Yuma
Yuma draws "Chauchow-chan" (800/800) and then Flip Summons "Dododo Gasser".
