Yu-Gi-Oh!
- This card was originally played in the first duel between Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, from the original manga and the first series anime (episode 13 and duel 10, respectively). Kaiba destroys it with his "Megamorph"-equipped "Battle Ox".
- In episode 15 of the first series anime, this card is seen when The Kageyama sisters look through Yugi's Deck.
- This card has no written card lore in the original manga, and it was given the yellow background of a Normal Monster on the second series anime. Nonetheless, it was actually an Effect Monster in both versions, with the following effect:
- In episode 10, Yugi plays this card against Ghost Kaiba. After summoning it, he equips it with "Book of Secret Arts", increasing its ATK and DEF by 300. Ghost Kaiba attacks with "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", but Yugi activates his face-down "Mirror Force" to protect his monster and send the attack right back at "Blue-Eyes". Ghost Kaiba then countered with "Negate Attack" to prevent his monster from being destroyed. Yugi then played "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon one of the "Blue-Eyes" from Kaiba's Graveyard. He then uses "Mystical Elf's" effect, transferring its attack points to "Blue-Eyes". This wins him the duel when his "Blue-Eyes" destroys Ghost Kaiba's.
- In episode 30, Yugi plays this card against Mai Valentine. It is unaffected by her "Shadow of Eyes" since it is female, allowing Yugi to successfully play it in Defense Position. Mai then destroys it with "Harpie Lady Sisters".
- In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monsters and Spell and Trap Cards.
- In episode 45, Edina, the princess of the virtual game is revealed to be a "Mystical Elf". She then casts a spell to revive Joey, Mai, Mokuba, and Iru(the former three were deleted due to the "Mythic Dragon" while Iru was deleted due to him sacrificing himself to save Yugi from being deleted).
- In episode 51, Yugi plays this card against Bandit Keith. Yugi Sets it and it is then destroyed by Keith's "Seiyaryu".
- In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
- In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck before his Duel with Gansley.
- In episode 104, Johnson plays this card against Joey Wheeler. He later fuses it with "Curtain of the Dark Ones" using "Polymerization" to Fusion Summon "Kamionwizard".
- In episode 106, this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor, and Serenity Wheeler were building their Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.
- In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba was building his Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
- In episode 111, Yugi plays this card against The Big Five while teaming with Joey. It is attacked by "The Legendary Fisherman", but Joey activates his face-down "Kunai with Chain", switching "Fisherman" to Defense Position and raising "Cyber Harpie Lady"'s ATK to 2300. It is then destroyed by "Judge Man's" Deck Master ability in the next episode.
- In episode 148, Rex Raptor and Weevil Underwood's fantasy of Pegasus giving a bunch of rare cards to Yugi and his friends included Yugi holding a bunch of cards with this card being one of them.
- In episode 210, Isis Summons this as an Egyptian Spirit Monster. Thief King Bakura destroys it with his "Diabound". Prior to this, it restores life energy to Pharaoh Atem.
- In episode 220, this card is shown when Yugi is shown building his Deck for the Ceremonial Battle.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
- In episode 142, Skull Knight used this card in his duel against Axel Brodie. He sends this card alongside many other Normal Monsters from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard via the Flip effect of his "Magical Merchant". This allowed his "Lycanthrope" to deal a large amount of damage via its effect.
- In episode 179, Yugi plays this card against Jaden Yuki. He uses "Magical Dimension" to Tribute this card, so that he could Summon "Dark Magician" and destroy Jaden's "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman".
- This card appears in the second version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX opening song 99%.
