Yugi |
Starter Deck: Yugi is a Starter Deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG). Released alongside Starter Deck: Kaiba, they are the first and second deck in the TCG's Starter Deck series. It is also released in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG) in Asian-English and Korean.
The set has been released in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) in three different English prints—North American, European and Oceanic—as well as in European French, French-Canadian, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The European English, European French, German and Italian sets contain less cards than the other prints, each having but 46 instead of 50 cards. (missing: Beaver Warrior, Mammoth Graveyard, Neo the Magic Swordsman, Man-Eating Treasure Chest.)
"Summoned Skull" from this set was previously distributed privately as a sample card, as well as given away in the Kids' WB! "Duelin' Monsters Giveaway" in November 2001. In both cases, the card was printed using glossy paper like used for OCG cards, and their card text was line-wrapped in a different position; in addition, the sample card had the word "SAMPLE" printed on its card backing, while the giveaway promo lacked the Eye of Anubis Hologram in its lower right corner.
