"Barian Invasion! The Frightening Chaos Xyz Change" is the first episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL II anime. It first aired in Japan on October 7, 2012.

Seeking to destroy the Astral World, Durbe sends Gilag to acquire the Number cards. In order to accomplish such task, Gilag brainwashes Fuma and orders him to duel Yuma. Such duel begins in favor of Yuma, however Fuma quckly turns the table by using the "Rank-Up Magic - Barian's Force" spell card and summoning his Chaos Xyz Monster, "Chaos Xyz: Machine-Armored Djinn, Angeneral".

Featured Duel: Yuma Tsukumo vs. Fuma

Turn 1: Fuma

Fuma Normal Summons "Devil Motor" (400/400), he then activates the Spell Card "Dark Engineering" to Special Summon another "Devil Motor" from his hand. Fuma overlays his two Level 3 monsters to Xyz Summon "Machine-Armored Angel, Anginel" (1800/1000) in Attack Position. He then activates the effect of "Devil Motor" which allows him to inflict 400 points damage to his opponent if it is used as an Xyz Material for a Xyz Summon. As Fuma used 2 "Devil Motor's" as Xyz Material, Yuma receives 800 points of damage via its effect (Yuma 4000-3200).

Turn 2: Yuma

Yuma Normal Summons "Goblindbergh" (1400/0), with its effect activating, letting him Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from his hand. He Special Summons "Bachibachibachi" (800/800) in Attack Position. Yuma then activates the Spell Card "Plus Star 123" to increase the level of "Bachibachibachi" by 1 to Level 4. Yuma overlays his two Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia" (2500/2000) in Attack Position. "Utopia" attacks "Anginel", Fuma activates "Machine-Armored Angel, Anginel" effect, detaching an Overlay Unit to change "Anginel" to Defense Position and until the end of the turn, it cannot be destroyed by battle. In return, Yuma activates "Bachibachibachi's" effect, as it was used as an Xyz Material for summoning "Utopia", it allows him to inflict piercing Battle Damage to his opponent, if it attacks a Defense Position monster. The attack connects and Fuma receives the piercing Battle Damage (Fuma 4000 → 2500).

Turn 3: Fuma

Fuma activates the Spell Card "Rank-Up Magic - Barian's Force", which allow him to summon a Chaos Xyz monster one Rank higher than the Xyz Monster used as the Xyz Material. Fuma performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution, overlaying Rank 3 "Anginel" to Xyz Summon Rank 4 "Chaos Xyz: Machine-Armored Djinn, Angeneral" (2600/1600) in Attack Position. Via the effect of "Rank-Up Magic - Barian's Force", as "Angeneral" was successfully Xyz Summoned, it can target 1 Xyz Monster the opponent controls and take all Xyz Materials from that target and attach them to "Angeneral", and the target loses 300 ATK for each Xyz Material detached. Via this effect "Utopia" loses both of its Xyz Material and its ATK decreases by 600 (2500 → 1900).

Duel continues in the next episode.
