- In episode 1 of the second series anime, Yami Yugi plays this card against Kaiba once more, as this duel is based off the one from the first series. Its effect could not prevent the attack of monsters who were Summoned after is activation. In future appearances, its effect was the same as the TCG/OCG version. This card was able to prevent the two Blue-Eyes Kaiba already had out from attacking, but "Judge Man" and Kaiba's third Blue-Eyes were able to attack since they were summoned after this card was activated. On the second to last turn of the duel, the effect of this card expires.
- In episode 14, Yami Yugi implies to PaniK that he has Set this card, though it was a bluff. PaniK uses "Reaper of the Cards", but triggers "Spellbinding Circle". In the next episode, Yugi does play this card. He uses to reveal the monsters PaniK had hidden via "Castle of Dark Illusions". After playing it, he uses "Catapult Turtle" to launch "Gaia the Dragon Champion" at the castle, destroying its "flotation ring". Once the effect of this card expired, the castle came crashing down on PaniK's monsters as it was the only thing holding it up. This destroys PaniK's monsters and wins him the duel.
- In episode 23, this card is in Yami Yugi's hand. Kaiba uses "De-Spell" to destroy it.
- In episode 30, Yami Yugi plays this card against Mai Valentine, successfully stalling her long enough until he drew "Black Luster Ritual" which was the necessary card he needed to Summon "Black Luster Soldier".

- In episode 158, Rafael plays this card against Yami Yugi. Yami however summoned "Catapult Turtle" and used its effect to inflict damage to Rafael while carelessly tributing his monsters to do so. On the second to last turn of the duel, the effects of "Swords of Revealing Light" expires.
- In episode 160, Sword of Revealing Light appeared in a flashback when Yami Yugi recall how he Tributes "Dark Magician Girl" using "Catapult Turtle".
- In episode 163, Yami Yugi plays this card against Yugi. He hoped to stall for time, but Yugi used the same strategy Yami used against Rafael. When he tributed "Dark Magician Girl" to activate "Catapult Turtle"'s effect, Yami used "Divine Wind" to redirect the damage back at Yugi which won him the duel.
- In episode 221, Yugi plays this card against Yami Yugi to prevent Yami Yugi from attacking his monsters with "The Tricky". However, Yami transfers its effect to Yugi using "Bounce" when Yugi tries to attack "The Tricky" with "Stronghold the Moving Fortress'. Yugi later made this card's effect expire early by using "Turn Jump".
