Clear Mind: Antinomy the Mysterious Turbo Duelist is an event that occurred in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, loosely based on Antinomy's final Duel with Yusei Fudo in episodes 143 to 145. It allows the player to unlock Antinomy as a playable character.

Event details
Challenging Antinomy
During this event, the player earns Tools by Dueling in Duel World (except at the Gate or against The Vagrant) or Ranked Duels. The first two times the player earns Tools from a Duel per day, they receive 10 bonus Tools; from March 5 onward, 20 bonus Tools are received instead.
Antinomy initially does not appear in Duel World. The player must first unlock Challenge #1 by collecting 60 Tools, which then will have him spawn with his Level 10 Deck in Duel World (5D's). After defeating him, he will start regularly appearing in Duel World (5D's); this appearance is time-based. He will also become available to be Dueled against at the Gate. At first, he will only be able to be challenged at Level 10. To challenge him at higher Levels (up to Level 40), the player needs to defeat him at least once at the highest available Level (e.g. he needs to be defeated at Level 10 before he can be challenged at Level 20).
In order to challenge Antinomy at a certain Level at the Gate, the player needs to spend a corresponding amount of Tools, which is as follows:
Level 10 | Level 20 | Level 30 | Level 40 | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rewards: x1 | 5 Tools | 10 Tools | 20 Tools | 40 Tools |
Rewards: x2 | 10 Tools | 20 Tools | 40 Tools | 80 Tools |
Rewards: x3 | 15 Tools | 30 Tools | 60 Tools | 120 Tools |
If the player challenges Antinomy in Duel World instead, the Duel will be a Turbo Duel, with both players having access to the EX Skill "Speed Spell - Clear Mind" (in addition to any Skill the player has set for their Deck). Furthermore, if the player engages in a Turbo Duel in the event using Yusei Fudo, their Extra Deck will have 1 each of the following cards added to it (for that Duel only): "Shooting Star Dragon", "Formula Synchron", and "Stardust Dragon".
Challenges
Challenges are made available throughout the course of the event. Once a Challenge is available, the player can unlock it by fulfilling its unlock condition. With the exception of the first, each Challenge is unlocked by completing the previous Challenge and meeting certain criteria. Upon completing a challenge, a story cutscene will play.
Unlock date (first run) | Unlock date (second run) | Unlock condition | |
---|---|---|---|
Challenge #1 | February 25, 2021 | June 22, 2021 | Collect 60 Tools |
Challenge #2 | February 27, 2021 | June 23, 2021 | Collect 300,000 Event Points |
Challenge #3 | March 1, 2021 | June 24, 2021 | Collect 520,000 Event Points |
Challenge #4 | March 3, 2021 | June 26, 2021 | Collect 1,000,000 Event Points |
When the player clears Challenge #3, Antinomy is unlocked as a playable character.
Determined Antinomy
From June 26, 2021 (March 3, 2021 during the first run), until the end of the event, "Determined Antinomy" appears in Duel World once the conditions to unlock Challenge #4 are met. He will remain permanently until the player defeats him; afterwards, he will appear again each time the player fills their Accel Meter to 100% by Dueling in Duel World or Ranked Duels, and disappear after the player Duels him (regardless of win or loss). If Antinomy is already present in Duel World when an Accel Meter is filled, he will be replaced by Determined Antinomy, and will reappear once that character is Dueled.
By Dueling the following opponents, a player's Accel Meter will increase by a corresponding amount:
Opponent | Victory | Loss |
---|---|---|
Antinomy Lvl. 10 | 3% | 2% |
Antinomy Lvl. 20 | 6% | 3% |
Antinomy Lvl. 30 | 9% | 5% |
Antinomy Lvl. 40 | 12% | 6% |
Ranked Duels | 12% | 6% |
Legendary Duelist Lvl. 10 | 3% | 2% |
Legendary Duelist Lvl. 20 | 6% | 3% |
Legendary Duelist Lvl. 30 | 9% | 5% |
Legendary Duelist Lvl. 40 | 12% | 6% |
The Vagabond | 10% | 5% |
Standard Duelist(s) | 5% | 3% |
If an Accel Meter is filled to 100% or beyond, any remainder will be carried over to the next Accel Meter after the player Duels Determined Antinomy, and the new Accel Meter cannot be filled any further in the meantime.
Occasionally after completing a Duel, the player will randomly receive an Accel Meter Boost, which provides a x3 multiplier to the next increase in the Accel Meter.
During this event's second run, defeating Determined Antinomy 3 times would unlock the Skill "Halved Synchro".
Event Points
Level 10 | Level 20 | Level 30 | Level 40 | Level 50 | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Multiplier | 1 | 3 | 7 | 16 | 20 |
In this event, the player earns Event Points by Dueling Antinomy, equal to their Duel Assessment multiplied by the appropriate Point Multiplier for that Deck level. Although Antinomy Lvl. 50 is unavailable at the Gate, Determined Antinomy serves as Antinomy Lvl. 50.
Additionally, if a player engages in a Turbo Duel and successfully Synchro Summons an Accel Synchro Monster (specifically "Shooting Star Dragon", "Stardust Chronicle Spark Dragon", "T.G. Blade Blaster", or "T.G. Halberd Cannon"), they receive a 2000-point "Accel Synchro" bonus in their Duel Assessment. This includes if Special Summoned by effect that treats the Special Summon as a Synchro Summon, such as the effect of "Necroid Synchro".
