The Nanahoshi Insect Ninja Village (ななほしこんちゅうにんじゃむら Nanahoshi Konchū Ninja Mura), also simply known as the Insect Ninja Village (こんちゅうにんじゃむら Konchū Ninja Mura), is a setting in the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS and Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It is an amusement park on the outskirts of Mutsuba Town/Goha City, though in both series it has fallen on hard times.

Overview[edit]

The Insect Ninja Village is a traditional amusement park with a bug theme. It has several traditional attractions, including a roller coaster, a merry go-round, and a face board. Instead of photos depicting a visitor on the roller coaster, one of the staff weaves an illustration of them from spider silk. The park also includes a samurai Rush Duel show, where the monsters are portrayed by puppets.

History[edit]

Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!![edit]

As the Insect Ninja Village was on the outskirts of Mutsuba Town, it was not part of Val-Valvelgear, and remained on Earth when the Velgearian spaceship took off. When Val-Valvelgear returned to Earth, Asaka Mutsuba's disorganized landing resulted in her landing the ship on a slant, leaving a massive cliff in the way of the Insect Ninja Village and diminishing their business over the following two years. This resulted in the park beginning to close down.[1]

Following the disappearance of most of the Velgearians, Yudias Velgear, Yuhi Ohdo, Yuamu Ohdo, Damamu and Ehoko "Epoch" Kamijo visited the park as part of their plan to take Yudias' mind off the fates of his countrymen. Due to the park's impending closure, the disheartened staff allowed them free entry and use of the park's facilities, but when their disinterest led to a lackluster Rush Duel as part of their Duel Show, Yudias was dismayed by their acceptance of their fates and almost challenged them himself, despite the knowledge he could vanish if he Rush Dueled again. When the staff explained their predicament to Yudias, he blasted a tunnel through the cliff with his eyebeams to allow visitors easier access to the park, who put on an reinvigorated show for them and promised to go down a new road.[1]

Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS[edit]

By the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, the park has fallen into disrepair and is used as a hideout by Nana Nanahoshi and the Battle Bug Club. Yuga Ohdo and Lucidien "Luke" Kallister visited the park looking for Nana, hoping to cure the madness they believed she had afflicted their friend Swirls with. Unbeknownst to them, Swirls was really Yuga Goha, the sixth of the Goha Six, and Nana had attacked him hoping to restore his sealed memories. Luke's sister Tiadosia "Tiger" Kallister opposed them at the park, Rush Dueling Yuga without informing him of the truth and defeating them. Before she could physically assault the three, Kaizo stepped in as "God Kaizo" to battle Tiger, giving Yuga and Luke time to escape with Swirls.[2]

Following Yuga Goha fully reawakening, he used the President Drone to fly to the Nanahoshi Insect Ninja Village to meet with Nana and the Battle Bug Club, where he promised that darkness would engulf Dueling.[3] Luke and Asana Mutsuba later visited the Insect Ninja Village in search of Yuga Goha and Nana, but were unable to find him, as Yuga Goha was en route to the Goha Enterprises Main Office to Rush Duel Yuga Ohdo.[4] Yuga Goha eventually defeated by Luke, who retained his memories even after Yuga Goha used "Monster Reborn" on him, and he raged over the matter at the Insect Ninja Village to his subordinates before deciding to target Otes.[5][6] However, after Yuga Goha defeated Otes and erased his memory with "Monster Reborn", he learned from a presentation at the Insect Ninja Village by Nana that their actions and the violence between Dueling formats they had sought to create was creating formats faster than the Goha Duel Server could keep up, with Otes having been controlling the updates to ease the server load.[7]

Due to having met and connected with Yuga Ohdo prior to the existence of Rush Dueling, Otes had been unaffected by "Monster Reborn" and had retained his memories, abandoning his efforts to safeguard the Goha Duel Server to keep up the charade until he was ready. He had Ghostia Taxilina kidnap Yuga Goha and his other subordinates captured the Battle Bug Club, bringing them all to the Nanahoshi Insect Ninja Village to stream his revelations to Yuga Ohdo and his friends at Goha Enterprises.[8] Following this, the Battle Bug Club escaped their bonds and left Yuga Goha chained to his slab. Yuga was eventually freed by his siblings, who had come to claim his crown so Yuga Ohdo and his friends could use it to control the Forcersizers affixed to the Super Rush Robot.[9]

When Yuga Ohdo returned to Earth two years later, Nana, Kabuto Bito and Kirihito Kamagaya watched the Star Shuttle Rush re-enter the atmosphere from the Nanahoshi Insect Ninja Village.[10]
