9000: If "" is destroyed while in the hand or Deck, then does its effect activate?
- The effect of "[[:]]" will activate even if "[[:]]" is destroyed while in the hand or Deck.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9001: Does the card-drawing effect of "" start a Chain Link?
- The effect of "[[:]]" which lets you draw a card does not start a Chain Link. The effect is applied at the end of the Damage Step, when the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9002: If one of the cards targeted by "" is activated in Chain, then is that card returned to the Deck?
- If "[[:]]" targets a Quick-Play Spell Card or Normal Trap Card and the card is Chained to the effect of "[[:]]", then the card will not be returned to the Deck by the effect of "[[:]]". However, if "[[:]]" targets a Continuous Trap Card and the card is Chained to the effect of "[[:]]", then the Continuous Trap Card will be returned to the Deck.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9003: Is any of the text of "Quickdraw Synchron" treated as the effect of an Effect Monster?
- The only effect of "Quickdraw Synchron" is its effect which Special Summons it. If "Skill Drain" is active or if "Forbidden Chalice" affects "Quickdraw Synchron", then the rest of the text of "Quickdraw Synchron" is still applied and is not negated.
- If a monster like "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is Tributed from the hand or Field for a Ritual Summon, then their effects are still applied, so the opponent may not Special Summon monsters, etc.
- If an effect like "Book of Moon" is Chained to the effect of "[[:]]" so that the targeted monster is not face-up on the field when the effect of "[[:]]" resolves, then you cannot gain control of the monster.
- Card Rulings:Book of Moon, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If "[[:]]" returns a Field Spell Card to the Deck, then "[[:]]" is destroyed after the rest of the effect resolves.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- When "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is removed from play when Ritual Summoning, it does not start a Chain Link. "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is removed from play when resolving the effect of the Ritual Spell Card, at the same time that the other monsters are Tributed.
9008: When your opponent Special Summons multiple monsters simultaneously, can "[[:]" destroy all of them?]
- If the effect of "[[:]]" is activated when multiple monsters are Special Summoned simultaneously, then all of those Special Summoned monster are destroyed.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9009: Will "Skill Drain" negate the effect of "" which is applied to a Ritual Monster?
- The effect of "[[:]]" which prevents your opponent from Special Summoning and the effect of "[[:]]" which lets you draw when an opponent's monster is destroyed are not treated as effects of the Ritual Monster which was Ritual Summoned. Thus, if the effect of the Ritual Monster is negated by an effect like "Skill Drain" or "Prohibited Chalice", then the effect of "[[:]]" which prevents your opponent from Special Summoning is still applied.
1X[edit]
- The effect of "[[:]]" may target a Synchro or Fusion monster, or a card owned by your opponent which you control, even though these will not be returned to your Deck. The effect will return them to the Extra Deck or your opponent's Deck, respectively. Also, these returned cards will count towards the number of cards which your opponent must randomly discard from his hand.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9011: Are any cards drawn when a Ritual Monster which used multiple copies of "" battles?
- Even if multiple copies of "[[:]]" are used to Ritual Summon a Ritual Monster, then you only draw one card when the Ritual Monster destroys a monster by battle.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9012: Does the effect of "" target? And does it continuously target the cards on the field?
- When "[[:]]" is successfully Ritual Summoned, its effect activates and targets cards which are face-up on the field. Afterwards, the effect continuously targets those targeted cards.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9013: Can the effect of "" target a Token Monster and return it to the Deck?
- You may select a Token Monster as a target of the effect of "[[:]]". However, when resolving the effect, the Token Monster disappears instead of being sent to the Deck, so it is not included in the number of cards which your opponent must randomly discard from his hand.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9014: Can the effect of "" target more cards than are in your opponent's hand?
- When the effect of "[[:]]" activates, you may not target more cards than the number of cards that your opponent has in his hand. Thus, if your opponent has two cards in his hand, then you may only target one or two cards. If your opponent has no cards in his hand, then you cannot target any cards on your side of the field, so the effect is not applied.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If a Ritual Monster is flipped face-down by an effect like "Book of Moon" after it was Ritual Summoned by using monsters like "[[:]]" or "[[:]]", then the effect of "[[:]]" is no longer applied. Afterwards, even if the Ritual Monster is flipped face-up again, then the effect of "[[:]]" is still no longer applied.
9016: If "" and the targeted cards are destroyed simultaneously, then are both destroyed?
- If "[[:]]" and the targeted cards would be destroyed simultaneously - such as by the effect of "Demise, King of Armageddon" - then "[[:]]" is not destroyed and remain on the field.
- Card Rulings:Demise, King of Armageddon, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- When Ritual Summoning by "Advanced Ritual Art", you can only send Normal Monsters to the Graveyard; you cannot send monsters like "Ritual Raven" or "[[:]]" to the Graveyard. Furthermore, you may not remove from play from your Graveyard a monster like "[[:]]" when Ritual Summoning by "Advanced Ritual Art".
9018: [Damage Step] Can the effect of "" be activated during the Damage Step?
- The effect of "[[:]]" cannot be activated during the Damage Step.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9019: Can you Ritual Summon by only removing from play one monster like ""?]
- When "[[:]]" or "[[:]]" is removed from play from the Graveyard when Ritual Summoning, "[[:]]" is removed from play as a Level 3 monster, and "[[:]]" is removed from play as a Level 4 monster. If you are Ritual Summoning a high-Level Ritual Monster, then you cannot only remove from play one "[[:]]" to perform the Ritual Summon.
- Example: "[[:]]" is a Level 7 monster. When resolving "[[:]]", "[[:]]" is removed from play as a Level 3 monster, so you need to Tribute 4+ more Levels of monsters.
- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Djinn of Rituals
2X[edit]
- If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of "Victory Viper XX03", then when "Majestic Star Dragon" destroys a monster by battle, you can activate the effect from "Victory Viper XX03" which Special Summons an "Option Token". However, there is no "Victory Viper XX03" on the field, so the Special Summoned "Option Token" is immediately destroyed.
- If your "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of "Morphtronic Celfon" while "Morphtronic Celfon" is in Attack Position, then you may activate either the "● While in Attack Position:" or the "● While in Defense Position:" effect from "Morphtronic Celfon", as appropriate for the Battle Position of "Majestic Star Dragon".
- If a monster's effects are already being negated by an effect like "Forbidden Chalice" or "Debris Dragon", then you may not choose it as a target for the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which negates the effects of a monster.
- "Majestic Star Dragon" can only activate the effect of a negated monster only once. If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of a monster like "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" or "Phantom of Chaos" and then uses the negated monster's effect to gain the effects of another Effect Monster, then you cannot activate the effect of the other Effect Monster because you already activated the effect of "Phantom of Chaos".
- If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of a monster, then if the monster's effect requires an activation cost, then you cannot activate that effect unless you pay the activation cost.
- If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of a monster, then if the monster's effect can only be activating at a specific time, then you cannot activate that effect unless you are activating it at the proper time.
- You can only activate the effect of a negated monster as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" during the same turn in which the monster's effects were negated.
- The effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which negates the effects of an Effect Monster is an effect which activates and starts a Chain Link. "Divine Wrath" may be Chained to this effect to negate its activation and destroy "Majestic Star Dragon".
9027: Can "Majestic Star Dragon" activate a negated Gemini Monster's effect which is listed by the "●"?
- You may not select a Gemini Monster that is being treated as a Normal Monster as a target for the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which negates effects. If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effect of a Gemini Monster like "Gigaplant" or "Doom Shaman", then the Gemini Monster no longer has its effect which is listed by the "●", so therefore "Majestic Star Dragon" may not activate the Gemini Monster's effect which is listed by the "●".
- If a monster whose effects are negated by "Majestic Star Dragon" is no longer face-up on the field, then you may still activate the monster's effect as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon", as long as it is still the same turn in which the effects were negated.
- When resolving the effect of "[[:]]", if a targeted monster has a higher DEF than the ATK of "[[:]]" - for example, if an effect like "Castle Walls" or "The Reliable Guardian" is Chained - the that targeted monster is not destroyed. If the effect of "[[:]]" targets two monsters and, at resolution, only one of the monsters has a higher DEF than the ATK of "[[:]]", then the other monster is still destroyed.
- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Castle Walls, Card Rulings:The Reliable Guardian
3X[edit]
- The effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which returns it to the Extra Deck during the End Phase and Special Summons "Stardust Dragon" is mandatory, so it will activate even if "Vanity's Fiend" or "Jowgen the Spiritualist" are face-up on the field. In this case, "Majestic Star Dragon" will return itself to the Extra Deck, but "Stardust Dragon" will not be Special Summoned.
- If the ATK of "Majestic Star Dragon" is increased because it negated and then activated the effect of "Card Trooper", then when it is affected by "Skill Drain", the ATK of "Majestic Star Dragon" will return to its original value.
- The controller of "[[:]]" does not choose when to apply its effect "Once per opponent's turn, while you control this face-up card, a "Blackwing" monster(s) you control cannot be destroyed by battle.". The effect must be applied when a "Blackwing" monster would be destroyed by battle.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- A monster whose effects are negated by "Majestic Star Dragon" only has its effects negated while the monster is face-up on the field. If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effects of a monster like "Sangan", then when "Sangan" is sent to the Graveyard its effect of adding a card from the Deck to the hand is not negated.
- You may Synchro Summon "Majestic Star Dragon" by using a "Stardust Dragon" which is being treated as a Tuner Monster. If a non-Tuner Monster has its name treated as "Majestic Dragon" and "Stardust Dragon" is being treated as a Tuner Monster, then you may Synchro Summon "Majestic Star Dragon" by using the non-Tuner "Majestic Dragon", the Tuner "Stardust Dragon", and one other non-Tuner Monster as Synchro Material Monsters.
- The effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which returns it to the Extra Deck during the End Phase target one "Stardust Dragon" in your Graveyard. If there is no "Stardust Dragon" in your Graveyard, then this effect still activates; "Majestic Star Dragon" is still returned to the Extra Deck, but no "Stardust Dragon" is Special Summoned.
- "Majestic Star Dragon" can only activate the effect of an opponent's monster as its own effect if "Majestic Star Dragon" is face-up on the field. Thus, if "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effects of a monster like "Sangan" whose effect activates in the Graveyard, then when "Majestic Star Dragon" is sent to the Graveyard you may not activate the effect of "Sangan" as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon".
9037: On the first turn, you cannot attack, but can you activate the effect of ""?
- If "[[:]]" cannot attack because it is the first turn, then you may still activate its effect "You can select up to 2 face-up monsters on the field that have DEF lower than this card's ATK and destroy them.".
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If an effect like "Compulsory Evacuation Device" or "Book of Moon" is Chained to the effect of "[[:]]" so that "[[:]]" is not face-up on the field when resolving its effect, then the targeted monsters are not destroyed. If the effect of "[[:]]" targets two monsters and an effect like "Compulsory Evacuation Device" or "Book of Moon" is Chained so that only one of the targeted monsters is face-up on the field when resolving the effect, then the remaining monster is still destroyed.
- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Book of Moon, Card Rulings:Compulsory Evacuation Device
9039: For "Reptilianne Hydra", are the "draw" and the "destroy" parts treated as resolving simultaneously?
- For the effect of "Reptilianne Hydra", "destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls with 0 ATK" and "draw a number of cards equal to the number of monsters destroyed" are considered to resolve simultaneously.
- Example: If "Yubel" is destroyed by the effect of "Reptilianne Hydra", then the effect of "Yubel" may be activated.
4X[edit]
- If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effects of a monster like "King Tiger Wanghu" with a mandatory Trigger Effect, then when a monster with 1400 ATK or less is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned the controller of "Majestic Star Dragon" may choose whether or not the effect of "King Tiger Wanghu" activates as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon". If a monster is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned at Chain Link 2 or higher, then after the Chain finishes resolving you may activate the effect of "King Tiger Wanghu" as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon", without missing the timing.
9041: What kinds of effects can "Majestic Star Dragon" activates "as the effect of this card"?
- In general, the effect "Once, you may activate an effect which belongs to the negated monster as the effect of this card." of "Majestic Star Dragon" may only activate an effect which starts a Chain Link. Thus, you can only activate a negated monster's Ignition Effect, Trigger Effect, or Quick Effect as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon".
- If the activation timing of an effect is not correct, then you cannot activate the effect as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon".
- If a Spell or Trap Card is face-up on the field and its effect activates, then the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" may be activated in Chain to the effect to negate its activation and destroy all cards your opponent controls.
- If the effect of "G.B. Hunter" is active, then during the End Phase the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" to return itself to the Extra Deck still activates. However, "Majestic Star Dragon" cannot be returned to the Extra Deck, so when resolving the effect "Majestic Star Dragon" is not returned to the Extra Deck and "Stardust Dragon" is not Special Summoned.
- If "Majestic Star Dragon" negates the effects of a monster like "Armed Dragon LV5" with multiple effects, then you can activate the effects of the negated monster as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" a total of once. Thus, if you activate the effect "Armed Dragon LV5" which destroys a monster as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon", then later on you cannot activate the effect of "Armed Dragon LV5" which Special Summons "Armed Dragon LV7" as the effect of "Majestic Star Dragon".
- If "Black Brutdrago" is destroyed during the Damage Step, then you can still activate its effect which Special Summons one Gemini Monster from your Graveyard.
- The effect of "Majestic Star Dragon" which returns it to the Extra Deck and Special Summons "Stardust Dragon" during the End Phase is a mandatory effect. The player must activate the effect; he cannot choose to not activate the effect and leave "Majestic Star Dragon" on the field.
- You may use the effect of "Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor" to Special Summon "[[:]]" (Level 8) by removing from play "Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor" (Level 1) and a Level 7 "Blackwing" monster.
- [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor
9048: When the effect of "" is negated, is its Maintenance Cost not paid and is it not destroyed?
- The text "The controller of this card has to pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases or destroy this card." of "[[:]]" is a maintenance cost, not an effect. Maintenance Costs cannot be negated, so you still pay the Maintenance Cost even if "Trap Stun" or "Royal Decree" is negating the effect of "[[:]]". If you choose not to pay the Maintenance Cost in this situation, then "[[:]]" is still destroyed.
- Card Rulings:Royal Decree, [[:Card Rulings:]], Card Rulings:Trap Stun
- For "[[:]]", "destroy one attacking monster" and "inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to half of the ATK of the destroyed monster" are considered to resolve simultaneously.
- Exmaple: You may activate the effect of "Archfiend of Gilfer" if it is destroyed by "[[:]]".
- Card Rulings:Archfiend of Gilfer, [[:Card Rulings:]]
5X[edit]
9050: If you have 0 cards in your hand, then can you pay 2000 Life Points to activate ""?
- Both "Pay 2000 Life Points" and "reveal your hand to your opponent" are costs to activate "[[:]]". If you cannot pay either cost, then you cannot activate "[[:]]". Thus, you cannot activate "[[:]]" if you do not have any cards in your hand.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- "Ritual Buster" only prevents the activation of Spell and Trap Cards, and the activation of the effect of Spell and Trap Cards which are already face-up on the field. It does not prevent Spell and Trap Cards like "Burden of the Mighty" and "Gravity Bind" with Continuous Effects from applying their effects.
- While the effect of "Ritual Buster" is applied, both players may still Set Spell and Trap Cards.
9052: When "Gemini Booster" is sent to the Graveyard and you apply its effect, does it start a Chain Link?
- The effect " If this card is destroyed while it is treated as an Equip Spell Card, select 1 face-up Gemini Monster and treat it as if it was Normal Summoned a second time." of "Gemini Booster" starts a Chain Link.
9053: Does it start a Chain Link when "Slip Summon" returns the monster to the hand during the End Phase?
- The effect "The monster Summoned by this effect is returned to its owner's hand at the End Phase." of "Slip Summon" does not start a Chain Link.
9054: Does the effect of "" which negates the effect of a card on the field target?
- The effect of "Seal of Wickedness" targets one face-up card on the field. During the turn this effect is activated, "[[:]]" continuously targets the the selected card.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If "Imperial Iron Wall" is active, then "[[:]]" may not be activated.
- Card Rulings:Imperial Iron Wall, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- The effect " At the End Phase, return the removed card to your opponent's hand." of "[[:]]" does not start a Chain Link.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9057: With the effect of "Stygian Dirge", does a Level 1 monster have its Level decreased to 0?
- If "Stygian Dirge" is active, a Level 1 monster will not have its Level decreased to 0. Its Level will remain at 1.
- When resolving the effect of "Infernity Force", if you cannot destroy the opponent's attacking monster, then you cannot Special Summon an "Infernity" monster from your Graveyard. When resolving the effect of "Infernity Force", if the "Infernity" monster is no longer in the Graveyard, then the opponent's attacking monster is still destroyed.
- During your next Standby Phase after "Inherited Fortune" is activated, its effect which Special Summons "Fortune Lady" monsters from your hand starts a Chain Link.
6X[edit]
9060: Does the effect of "Infernity Force" target?
- The effect of "Infernity Force" targets two monsters: one opponent's attacking monster, and one "Infernity" monster in your Graveyard.
9061: Can the player choose when to apply the effect of ""?
- The effect of "[[:]]" is not optional; the player does not choose when to apply the effect. After "[[:]]" is activated, its effect is automatically applied during the first battle in which a monster would be destroyed.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If a Plant-Type monster is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned after "[[:]]" is activated, then the newly-Summoned Plant-Type monster does not have its ATK increase.
- The effect of "[[:]]" which destroys all Plant-Type monsters you control during the End Phase will also destroy monsters which did not receive the ATK increase.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- After resolving "[[:]]", the ATK increase from "[[:]]" will not change even if the number of Plant-Type monsters in your Graveyard changes.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- For "[[:]]", the resolution which adds a Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand does not occur at the same time as the resolution which adds a Ritual Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. You add the Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand, and then you add the Ritual Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand.
- Example: After "[[:]]" resolves, you cannot activate "Drastic Drop Off" because you miss the timing.
- Card Rulings:Drastic Drop Off, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- If you do not have any Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters in your hand when resolving "[[:]]", then the Special Summoned monster is still sent to the Graveyard, even though you cannot Special Summon a monster. At this time, the opponent may check your hand to verify that you do not have any monsters that you can Special Summon.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- "Negate Attack" and "Gravity Bind" make it so that you do not proceed to the Damage Step, so the Life Point recovery effect of "Savage Colosseum" is not applied.
- After an attack has been declared, if the attack is stopped but not negated by an effect like "Gravity Bind", then the monster is still considered to have declared an attack, so the monster is not destroyed during the End Phase by "Savage Colosseum". However, if the monster's attack is negated by an effect like "Negate Attack", then the monster is not considered to have declared an attack, so the monster is destroyed during the End Phase.
- If a monster attacks a face-down "Blast Sphere", then the Life Point recovery effect of "Savage Colosseum" is still applied, even though Damage Calculation is not performed because "Blast Sphere" was equipped to the attacking monster. Also, the attacking monster is not destroyed during the End Phase by the effect of "Savage Colosseum" because it attacked "Blast Sphere".
9067: Does the effect of "" which destroys Plant-Type monsters during the End Phase start a Chain Link?
- The effect of "[[:]]" which destroys all Plant-Type monsters during the End Phase does not start a Chain Link
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9068: Does the effect of "" target?
- The effect of "[[:]]" which adds a Ritual Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand does not target. The Ritual Spell Card to be added to your hand is selected when resolving the effect of "[[:]]".
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
- The effect of "Molting Escape" which increases the equipped monster's ATK by 300 activates and starts a Chain Link at the end of the Damage Step.
7X[edit]
- If "Fortune's Future" cannot return the removed from play "Fortune Lady" monster to your Graveyard - such as if an effect like "Burial from a Different Dimension" is Chained and returns the "Fortune Lady" monster to the Graveyard - then you cannot draw two cards.
9071: Can "Fortune's Future" target a monster owned by the opponent?
- While an opponent's "Fortune Lady" monster is removed from play, it is considered to be an opponent's monster, even if it was removed from play while on your side of the field. Thus, you cannot activate "Fortune's Future" and target a "Fortune Lady" monster owned by your opponent.
- For "Gemini Spark", "destroy 1 card" and "draw 1 card" are treated as resolving simultaneously. After resolving "Gemini Spark", it is treated as both "when a card is destroyed" and "when a card is drawn".
- Example: If "Yubel" is destroyed by the effect of "Reptilianne Hydra" [sic], then the effect of "Yubel" may be activated.
9073: Does the effect of "Spider Web" which changes the monster to Defense Position start a Chain Link?
- The effect of "Spider Web" which changes the monster to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step does not start a Chain Link.
9074: Can you skip your Battle Phase while "Savage Colosseum" is face-up?
- If a monster must declare an attack because "Savage Colosseum" is face-up on the field, then the player must perform his Battle Phase. He cannot choose to skip his Battle Phase.
9075: Does each effect of "Savage Colosseum" start a Chain Link?
- The effect of "Savage Colosseum" which increases Life Points at the end of the Damage Step and the effect which, during the End Step, destroys all monsters which did not declare attacks each start Chain Links. The player who controls "Savage Colosseum" is the player who is considered to be the player who activates the effect of "Savage Colosseum", regardless of who the Turn Player is.
- When resolving "Gemini Spark", if the targeted card cannot be destroyed, then you cannot draw a card.
- "Time Passage" cannot be activated during the Damage Step.
- The effect of "Time Passage" targets one "Fortune Lady" monster that is face-up on your side of the field.
- All effects of "Spider Web" are only applied as long as "Spider Web" remains face-up on the field. If "Spider Web" is removed from the field, then a monster who attacked can change its Battle Position, even if it is before the next turn's End Phase.
9079: With "", can you target an opponent's monster and send it to the Graveyard?
- The effect of "[[:]]" targets the Special Summoned monster on the field that is to be sent to the Graveyard. You can also target a monster on your opponent's field that was Special Summoned.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
8X[edit]
9080: At what time and during whose turns can you remove from play "" to activate its effect?
- The effect "You can remove this card in your Graveyard from play to prevent 1 face-up Ritual Monster you control from being targeted by the effects of Spell, Trap or Effect Monster Cards this turn." of "[[:]]" can only be activated during your own turn's Main Phases. This is effect is activated by removing from play "[[:]]", and targets one Ritual Monster that is face-up on your side of the field.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9081: Synchro Monster > Hundred Eyes Dragon
- Removing from play one Level 6 or lower DARK Effect Monster is a cost to activate the effect of "Hundred Eyes Dragon".
9082: Spell Card > Clear World
- The text "Pay 500 Life Points during each of your End Phases. If you do not, then destroy this card." of "Clear World" is a maintenance cost.
- The "EARTH", "FIRE", and "WATER" effects of "Clear World" activate and start Chain Links. The "LIGHT", "DARK", and "WIND" effects do not start Chain Links.
9083: Effect Monster > Clear Vice Dragon
- The effect of "Clear Vice Dragon" which alters its ATK is only applied during Damage Calculation.
- When you discard instead of destroying "Clear Vice Dragon", the card is discarded by an effect. It is not a cost.
9084: Effect Monster > Darkness Neosphere
- "Darkness Neosphere" is a Special Summon monster.
- Sending a total of two monsters from your hand and Field to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Darkness Neosphere" which Special Summons it.
- The effect of "Darkness Neosphere" which Special Summons it from the hand activates when an opponent's monster declares an attack.
9085: Effect Monster > Guardian Eatos
- Sending an Equip Spell Card from the Field to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Guardian Eatos". This effect targets 1 to 3 monsters in the opponent's Graveyard.
- The effect of "Guardian Eatos" which increases its ATK resolves as part of the same resolution which removes from play the targeted monsters.
9086: Effect Monster > Orichalcos Shunoros
- "Orichalcos Shunoros" is a Special Summon monster.
- The effect of "Orichalcos Shunoros" which Special Summons it from the hand activates when a Normal Monster you control is destroyed by battle. This is a Trigger Effect which activates at the end of the Damage Step.
- If "Orichalcos Shunoros" is sent to the Graveyard after it is Special Summoned, then it may be Special Summoned from the Graveyard by effects like "Monster Reborn".
9087: Effect Monster > Cyber Eltanin
- "Cyber Eltanin" is a Special Summon monster.
- When Special Summoning "Cyber Eltanin", only monsters which are both LIGHT-Attribute and Machine-Type are removed from play.
9088: Synchro Monster > Zeman the Ape King
- Sending one monster from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Zeman the Ape King". This effect targets one attacking monster.
9089: Synchro Monster >
- The effect of "[[:]]" which equips an opponent's monster to it targets an opponent's face-up monster.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9X[edit]
9090: Effect Monster >
- Removing from play a total of four monsters - "[[:]]" and three different "Elemental Hero" monsters - is a cost to activate the effect of "[[:]]". This effect targets one Spell Card in your Graveyard.
- [[:Card Rulings:]]
9091: Can "" equip itself if the targeted monster is face-down at resolution?
- "[[:]]" can only equip an opponent's face-up monster to itself. If an effect like "Book of Moon" is Chained to the effect of "[[:]]" so that the monster is face-down when resolving the effect of "[[:]]", then the monster is not equipped and it remains on the opponent's side of the field.
- Card Rulings:Book of Moon, [[:Card Rulings:]]
- You can send a face-down monster you control to the Graveyard as an activation cost for the effect of "Zeman the Ape King".
9093: Can you use effect of "Hundred Eyes Dragon" to use the effect of "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus"?
- "Hundred Eyes Dragon" is a Synchro Monster, so if it gains the effect of "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus", then at the end of a Battle Phase in which it battled you may activate the effect to Special Summon two "Gladiator Beast" monsters by returning "Hundred Eyes Dragon" to the Extra Deck.
- If "Book of Moon" flips "Hundred Eyes Dragon" face-down, then you no longer apply the effect of "Hundred Eyes Dragon" which has it gain a card's effects. If "Hundred Eyes Dragon" is flipped face-up during the same turn, then you can activate its effect a second time to gain the effects of a second Level 6 or lower DARK monster.
9095: What is the ATK of "Cyber Eltanin" when it is equipped with "Megamorph"?
- The Original ATK of "Cyber Eltanin" is treated as 0 while it is on the field. Thus, if it is equipped with "Megamorph", then "Cyber Eltanin" will have 0 ATK. When the effect of "Megamorph" is no longer applied, the ATK of "Cyber Eltanin" returns to 500x the number of monsters removed from play to Special Summon "Cyber Eltanin".
- The effect "●WIND: You must pay 500 Life Points to activate a Spell Card." of "Clear World" only applies to when a Spell Card is activated from the hand, or when a face-down Spell Card is activated. You do not pay 500 Life Points to activate the effect of a Spell Card which is already face-up on the field, like "Miracle Fertilizer" or "Blaze Accelerator".
9097: When "Clear Vice Dragon" would be destroyed, if control of it changes, then is it destroyed?
- If you activate "Raigeki Break" and target your own "Clear Vice Dragon" and then the opponent Chains "Enemy Controller" to take control of your "Clear Vice Dragon", then your opponent chooses whether to discard one card from his hand or to have "Clear Vice Dragon" destroyed.
- You may send to the Graveyard an Equip Spell Card that your opponent controls as an activation cost for the effect of "Guardian Eatos".
- If "Cyber Eltanin" is flipped face-down by an effect like "Book of Moon", then its effect of increasing its ATK is no longer applied. If "Cyber Eltanin" is later flipped face-up, then its ATK will be 0.
- If "Cyber Eltanin" is affected by "Skill Drain", then its effect of increasing its ATK is no longer applied, so it will have 0 ATK. If the effect of "Skill Drain" disappears, then the ATK of "Cyber Eltanin" will remain at 0.
