Yu-Gi-Oh!

  • This card inflicts damage to the opponent equal to the difference between the target monster's attack points and the total attack all the opponent's destroyed monsters.

Anime

Duelist Kingdom

  • In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monsters and Spell and Trap Cards.

Legendary Heroes

  • When dueling within the Big Five's virtual world, Yami Yugi uses this card to protect him, Joey and Mai from the swarms of Insect monsters that were attacking the trio. Although the insects hit this card's barrier and get destroyed, the storm of explosions creates a fire that disturbs the "Cocoons of Evolution" and causes them to hatch into three "Great Moths".

Battle City

  • When Yugi Muto duels Bandit Keith, Yugi activates this card in response to his "Dark Magician" being attacked by Keith's "Zera the Mant", but Keith activates "Solemn Judgment" to negate this card's effect and destroy it, allowing his attack to succeed in destroying "Dark Magician".
  • In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
  • When Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba tag team duel two Rare Hunters, one Rare Hunter activates this card to counter the effect of Kaiba's "Obelisk the Tormentor". This fails as the effect of Kaiba's "Obelisk the Tormentor" isn't an attack, therefore Kaiba and Yami Yugi win the duel.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.

Virtual World

  • In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck before his Duel with Gansley.
  • When Téa Gardner duels with Crump, Tea sets this card face-down but Crump uses "Cold Wave" which prevents Tea from using this card for one turn. Later, this card gets destroyed by Crump's "Driving Snow".
  • While going through Noah Kaiba's doors, this card is one of three face down cards on the Level 3 door. When Yugi Muto's "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" attacks the level three door's "Dark King of the Abyss", the door protects the latter monster with this card, destroying Yugi's "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight".
  • When Yugi Muto and Joey Wheeler duel the Big Five (using Tristan Taylor's body), Yugi plays this card face-down and makes it very obvious to the Big Five that his face-down was a trap to get their attention on him instead of Joey. Later, this card gets destroyed when Nezbitt activates "Heavy Storm", but this turns out to be a trick by Yugi as activating "Heavy Storm" activated the effect of Yugi's "Des Volstgalph", increasing its ATK by 200 until the end of the turn. Nezbitt didn't notice this however. Nezbitt's "Machine King" then attacks "Des Volstgalph", but since the latter is stronger than "Machine King", "Machine King" is destroyed.

Battle City Finals

Waking the Dragons

  • When Yami Yugi duels the Orichalcos Soldier, Yugi uses this card to save his "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts" from being destroyed by the soldier's "Orichalcos Gigas" but the Soldier used his monster's effect to bring it back even stronger than before.
  • When Duke Devlin and Rebecca Hawkins duel Valon, Rebecca activates this card to save her "Diamond Head Dragon" from being destroyed by Valon's "Big Bang Blow" while also destroying all of Valon's monsters but Valon uses the effect of "Trap Buster" to negate and destroy this card. The attack then continued resulting in the destruction of Valon's "Big Bang Blow" which activates the latter monster's effect of destroying all monsters out and inflicting damage to each player equal to the total Attack Points of each monster they controlled while Valon uses the effect of "Active Guard" to negate the Battle Damage he would have received from the battle involving "Big Bang Blow".
  • When Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba duel Dartz, Yugi sets this card but doesn't activate it for most of the duel as he soon finds out that Dartz's "Mirror Knight Tokens" have the souls of his friends in them (Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, Mai Valentine and Maximillion Pegasus) and can't bring himself to destroy the tokens as it might destroy his friends' souls too in the process. Later, Yami Yugi combines the card with Kaiba's "The Fang of Critias" to create "Mirror Force Dragon". Later when Dartz's "Orichalcos Shunoros" attacks "Legendary Knight Critias", Yami Yugi uses the effect of "Legendary Knight Critias" to activate this card from the Graveyard to destroy all of Dartz's monsters and inflict the difference between the Attack Points as damage to Dartz. This card was then removed from play afterwards.

Grand Championship

  • When Rebecca Hawkins duels Leon, Leon activates this card when "Cinderella" is attacked by Rebecca's "Luster Dragon #2". This in turn destroys "Luster Dragon #2".[1]
  • In episode 196, this card is shown within Leon's backstory flashback when he explains how he became fascinated into Duel Monsters after discovering the game. This card is later shown again when Leon is shown watching Yugi's Duels on television.
  • When Yugi Muto duels Leon, Yugi activates this card when Leon's "Iron Hans" attacks him directly. This in turn destroys the latter monster and Leon's two "Iron Knights".

Dawn of the Duel

  • In episode 214, this card appears in a flashback Yugi has when he explains to his friends that he wished for real friends after solving the Millennium Puzzle. It is shown in Yugi's hand when Yugi is Dueling Joey in the said flashback.

Manga

Yu-Gi-Oh! the Movie: Pyramid of Light

  • Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba, but does not activate it as Kaiba destroyed it with "Mystical Space Typhoon" before Yugi could use it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

  • During episodes 168 and 179, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

  • In episode 21, Bolt Tanner mentions "Mirror Force" when he gives an example of a game-breaking card.
  • In episode 62, this card was shown in a flashback that was explained by Rex Goodwin. After Roman Goodwin had defeated Rex, he is shown dropping three Trap Cards, one of which is this card. Roman then realizes that his brother had lost the Duel on purpose. Rex then reveals that he purposely lost so that he would become a Dark Signer.
  • In episode 80, this card was part of a Duel Puzzle that Crow Hogan, Jack Atlas, Yusei Fudo and Bruno had to solve in order to find out who stole Yusei's program. Aside from being on the field in Defense Position, this card played no actual part in any of the attempts made by Crow, Jack, and Bruno when they tried to solve the Duel Puzzle. When Crow attempted to solve the Duel Puzzle, he equipped "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" to "Green Gadget" to decrease the latter's ATK by 1000. "Tragoedia"(whose ATK was 3000 due to its effect) then attacks "Green Gadget", but the Robot activates this card to destroy "Tragoedia", resulting in Crow failing to solve the puzzle. When Jack attempted to solve the puzzle, he equipped "Axe of Despair" to "Tragoedia", increasing its ATK by 1000. "Tragoedia(whose ATK was 3000 due to its effect) then attacked "Green Gadget" as Jack assumed the face-down card in the Duel Puzzle was changed. Unfortunately this assumption was wrong as the robot then activated this card to once again destroy "Tragoedia", resulting in Jack failing to solve the puzzle. Bruno then took a turn to solve the puzzle. Thanks to his strategy, he was able to remove "Green Gadget" from the field with "Tribute to the Doomed" and take control of "Ancient Gear Soldier"(who had the ability to forbid the opponent from activating Spells and Traps when it attacks) with "Cost Down" and the effect of "Tragoedia". Bruno then equipped "Axe of Despair" onto "Ancient Gear Soldier", increasing its ATK by 1000. "Ancient Gear Soldier" then attacks "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" (who now had 0 ATK since "Green Gadget", "Red Gadget", and "Yellow Gadget" were not all present on the field). Because of "Ancient Gear Soldier"'s effect, the Password Robot could not activate this card to stop the attack, allowing Bruno to successfully destroy "Stronghold the Moving Fortress", deplete the Robot's remaining Life Points, and solve the Duel Puzzle.
  • In episode 85, Crow sets this card during his Ground Duel against Lyndon, but does not activate it. After Lyndon destroys "Blackwing Armor Master" with the effect of "Time Wizard"(as he succeeded in its effect), he uses "Monster Clock" and "Clock Knight 12" to attack Crow directly. Crow could have activated this card to save himself and destroy Lyndon's monsters, but he, in the end, chose not activate it. This leads to him being defeated.
  • In episode 108, this card is shown falling out of Haruka's Deck when she drops it due to the lightning strikes.
  • This card can also be seen in the poster for the WRGP tournament during the second season.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL

  • In episode 12, this card appears in a flashback of Shark's as part of Quattro's Deck at a National Tournament. It was one of the many cards that can be seen after Quattro's Deck fell off of the plant pot it was on. Shark noticed these cards and took a look at it due to the pressure affecting him. During the duel between Shark and Quattro, the latter sets a card face-down. Shark theorized that the set card is probably this card as Quattro would probably use that in this sort of situation. Shark realizes that he can win the duel now, but before Shark can conduct the turn that would have probably won him the duel, the duel is canceled and Shark is disqualified from the Duel as the security cameras caught Shark peeking at Quattro's Deck before the Duel. This in turn caused Shark to be banned forever from the Duel Circuit. Quattro later revealed in episode 26 to Shark that he purposely left his Deck on the plant pot in order to get Shark disqualified.
  • This card was seen between the stolen cards by Charlie McCay in episode 31.
