Nazca Lines
The Nazca Lines are a series of geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's universe, they were formed after the Earthbound Gods got sealed in the Earth.
The examples appearing in the anime to date include, the Spider, the Giant, the Monkey and the Hummingbird. The Gaint being "Ccapac Apu" and the Hummingbird being "Cocalaiya".
The five lines associated with the Earthbound Gods, also appear on the arms of the Dark Signers as dark marks.
History
The people od the Incan civilization, the Sky Temple, were treatened by wicked disturbances on the Earth. In response, the Star Dragon King, prayed to the Dragon Star for help. In response the Dragon Star sent the Crimson Dragon, who along with five dragons battle the Earthbound Gods, who were evil incarnate.
The Dragons were able to seal the evil beings, in the Earth, but the demons dragged Ancient Fairy Dragon in with them. The Nazca Lines were then formed, each line taking the shape of the Earthbound God sealed in it.
Five thousand years later, when the Dark Signers continued their battle with the Signers, the lines began disappearing as the Earthbound Gods returned.
