Crowler, Vellian

Vellian Crowler, known as Cronos de Medici (クロノス・デ・メディチ Kuronosu de Medichi) in the Japanese version, is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force video game series. This is a video game depiction of Vellian Crowler, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.

Tag Force

Vellian can be found in the Classroom or the Chancellor's Office during Part 1. After Part 3 is cleared at least once, the player can recruit Vellian as a partner if they can win a duel against him while having at least 8000 Life Points remaining.

Defeating Vellian 10 times earns the player an "Ancient Gear Castle" card and Vellian's first Deck Recipe.

Vellian teams up with Chumley for the entirety of Part 2.

During Part 3, Vellian is brainwashed by Titan, and they duel against the player after Nightshroud is defeated.

Tag Force 3

The player duels against Vellian and Tyranno during the first event for Tier 2 and Tier 3 characters. If the player is partnered with either of them, they face Lily and Andrea instead.

As professor of the boy's Obelisk Blue dormitory, Vellian Crowler is responsible for the Academy's top duelists.
He has a very eccentric way of speaking.

Vellian is a symbol of Duel Academy's rigid, ability-obsessed philosophy - treating those with the highest grades as favorites, while being intolerant of students who cannot keep up. He has been watching Slifer Red's Jaden Yuki very closely, and has been plotting various methods to get him expelled from the Academy.

He wears a "Duel Coat" when dueling. Apparently "anyone who successfully gets into the academy can buy one", but no one other than Vellian has ever worn such a coat.

He uses a Deck full of Ancient Gear cards - "Ancient Gear" being an ancient type of machinery.
His main card is the "Ancient Gear Golem" - a card so powerful that it's known as the "Rule Breaker".

As his appearance may lead one to believe, Vellian is a lover of top quality goods - food being among them.

アカデミアにある実力（じつりょく）主義（しゅぎ）の象徴（しょうちょう）のような存在（そんざい）で、成績（せいせき）の良（よ）い生徒（せいと）にはやさしく、落（お）ちこぼれには容赦（ようしゃ）ない。

使（つか）うデッキは「アンティーク・ギア」と呼（よ）ばれる古代（こだい）の機械（きかい）を集（あつ）めたデッキ。
主力（しゅりょく）である「アンティーク・ギア・ゴーレム」は「掟（おきて）破（やぶ）りモンスター」と呼（よ）ばれるほど強力（きょうりょく）。

外見（がいけん）から察（さっ）せられるとおり、高級（こうきゅう）なものが好（す）きで、食（た）べ物（もの）の好（この）みにもそれが表（あらわ）れている。

Head of the Obelisk Boy's Dorm and the professor in charge of the practical (dueling) tests at Duel Academy.
When Chancellor Sheppard was away, Dr. Crowler acted as Chancellor to Duel Academy.

Although he originally had it out for Jaden Yuki from Slifer Red and tried numerous times to get him expelled, Dr. Crowler now acts more like his ally. Perhaps this is thanks to the many duels they have experienced together.

He is an elitist but acts properly as a professor, condemning all shadow duels.

He also acts as Duel Academy's provisional Principal, as Principal Samejima is currently away.

Seems to be a member of Italy's prestigious Medicci family, and has a unique appearance and speech patterns.
He used to hold a grudge towards Judai Yuki, and set up multiple scenarios to try to get him expelled, but the various experiences they had through dueling seem to have influenced him, as he helps out Judai and his friends from time to time nowadays.
While he remains an elitist, he shows proper form as a teacher and refuses to condone Dark Duels.

For dueling purposes concerning the Academy, he normally uses Ancient Gear cards.
