Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[edit]

Notes[edit]

  • Starting from Season Three, Neos replaces Jaden's Hero Fusions as the deck's "symbol". This is officially stated by Jaden himself in his Duel against Yugi, where Neos confronts "Dark Magician" with Jaden saying the following: "Yugi-san! If the symbol of your Deck is Dark Magician, then the symbol of my Deck is Elemental HERO Neos!"
    • However it should be noted that Jaden says the original Elemental HEROes are still his favorite during his second duel with Crowler just a few episodes before his duel with Yugi mentioned above, showing that he hasn't forgotten them.
  • In the anime, this monster is voiced in the original Japanese version by Iori Hayashi and in the English dub by Sean Schemmel. It becomes one of Jaden's commonly used cards after its debut.
  • Neos' attack name is Wrath of Neos in the Japanese anime (Cosmic Crush in the dub), and Force of Neospace when equipped with "Neos Force".
  • In the anime, when this card attacks, it usually jumps and strikes its target with a karate chop, although it does have other less common attacks such as firing beams from the gem on its forehead or diving into monsters with its arms stretched out (similar to "Nitro Warrior"). It sometimes also uses kicks before the karate chop.

Season 2[edit]

He Tribute Summons this card by Tributing his two "Fluff Tokens" Jaden then discards "Fusion Sage" in order to activate the effect of "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin" and look at the Alien's hand. He then returns this card and all six "Neo-Spacians" from his field and Graveyard to his Deck in order to Special Summon "Elemental Hero Divine Neos".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, Jaden takes this card off its zone and states that friends fighting and friends cheering is a bond that can't be broken because a card they cherish or have bonded with holds undeniable power.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, Jaden looks at this card and notes that the card that a Duelist bonds with is initially just a plain card without anything special, however people that a Duelist fight against and the feelings that were shared among those people as well as the memories of those Duels will be absorbed into the bonded card as it's the history of a person's efforts.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a series of flashbacks Jaden has when he tells the people trapped in the World of Darkness that the card that a Duelist bonds with is initially just a plain card without anything special, however people that a Duelist fight against and the feelings that were shared among those people as well as the memories of those Duels will be absorbed into the bonded card as it's the history of a person's efforts.
    • This card represents Jaden's own future.
  • In episode 179, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Yugi Muto. He Special Summons this card via "A Hero Emerges". This causes a replay to occur and Yugi chooses not to attack with "Dark Magician. In the next episode, Jaden equips "Neos Force" to this card, increasing its ATK by 800. This card then attacks "Dark Magician", but Yugi activates "Mirror Force" to destroy all of Jaden's Attack Position monsters. After the effect of "Card Trooper" resolves, Jaden activates "Death and Rebirth" to destroy "Dark Magician" and revive this card, but Yugi activates "Shift" to redirect the target of "Death and Rebirth" to "Obnoxious Celtic Guardian", destroying the latter instead. This card then attacks "Dark Magician" (as the last effect of "Death and Rebirth" forces this card to attack this turn), causing both monsters to be destroyed in a Double KO. Later Jaden activates "Miracle Contact" to return this card, "Flare Scarab", and "Grand Mole" from his Graveyard to his Deck in order to Special Summon "Magma Neos". After Jaden activates "Neo Space", "Magma Neos" attacks "Dark Magician Girl", but Yugi activates "Magic Cylinder" to negate the attack and inflict damage to Jaden equal to the ATK of "Magma Neos". Jaden then activates "Contact Out" to return "Magma Neos" to the Extra Deck and Special Summon this card, "Flare Scarab", and "Grand Mole" from his Deck. The effect of "Magic Cylinder" then resolves without effect as its original target left the field. This card then gains 500 ATK due to the effect of "Neo Space". After Yami Yugi (taking over for Yugi) activates "Dark Renewal" to revive "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (with the help of the effect of the "Code Change" that was sealed in "Mystical Refpanel") in response to "Shining Flare Wingman" attacking "Dark Magician Girl", Jaden chooses not to attack with "Shining Flare Wingman". This card then attacks "Slifer" (whose ATK was 5000 through its own effect), but what happens after that is unknown.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a series of flashbacks Alexis has when she explains that all the graduating students had companions who had spent a long time together with them and had fought and encourage one another. Alexis goes on to explain that the Duels she had with all the students had taught her her strength, weaknesses, and concerns for others.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Yugi has when he realizes that "Necro Gardna" was one of the three cards Jaden sent from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard via the first effect of "Card Trooper", which is how Jaden was able to banish "Necro Gardna" from his Graveyard to negate the direct attack made by "Alpha The Magnet Warrior".

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL[edit]

Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time[edit]

  • Jaden summons this card to help protect him from the attacks made by Paradox's "Cyber End Dragon" and "Rainbow Dragon" (which were both cards Paradox stole). This card defends well against Paradox's monsters. This is enough for Paradox to summon "Stardust Dragon" (who Paradox stole from Yusei) and use it to attack this monster. The first attack nearly destroys this card and sends both Jaden and this card skidding into a wall. "Stardust Dragon" prepares to finish Jaden off, but the Crimson Dragon and Yusei appear to defend Jaden and save him. This is enough for Paradox to go to Yugi's time instead.
  • After Yusei and Jaden have a conversation about Paradox and his mission, Jaden opens his laptop and finds an article about Paradox destroying many buildings which led to many people being killed and led people to stop playing Duel Monsters. This card became blank in front of Jaden's eyes, meaning that Jaden and Yusei must stop Paradox before time is permanently altered. After Yusei and Jaden find Yugi and get him back 30 minutes before Paradox attacked the people in his time. Jaden summons "Yubel" to scare off the people at the tournament. Thanks to this, this card returns to normal. However Paradox still arrives regardless.
  • Jaden uses this card during his Duel with Yugi Muto and Yusei Fudo against Paradox. He activates "Polymerization" to fuse this card with Yusei's "Junk Gardna" in order to Fusion Summon "Elemental Hero Neos Knight". Later "Malefic Red-Eyes Black Dragon" attacks "Dark Magician Girl", but Jaden activates "De-Fusion" to return "Neos Knight" to the Extra Deck and revive this card and "Junk Gardna". Yusei then activates the first effect of "Junk Gardna" to switch "Malefic Red-Eyes Black Dragon" to Defense Position. After "Malefic Truth Dragon" attacks and destroys this card, the second effect of "Malefic Truth Dragon" activates, destroying both "Dark Magician Girl" and "Junk Gardna" as well as inflicting 1600 damage to Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei (800 damage for each monster that the effect of "Malefic Truth Dragon" destroyed). On Yusei's End Phase, Yusei activates "Stardust Mirage" to revive all monsters that were destroyed this turn (including this card). This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
